In the second round he'd take on Hurkacz, and again after splitting the first two sets, he'd fight back to win, 6-3 5-7 7-6 7-5. In the third round he'd take on Shapovalov, and again after splitting the first two sets, he'd fight back in four, 7-6 6-7 6-3 6-4. In the fourth round he'd take on Tsitsipas, who'd taken out Tiafoe and the Hedgerow along the way. It was no problem for Shelton getting through in straight 6-2 6-3 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Shelton would take on Alcaraz, the number two seed, who he'd never beaten in previous meetings. Now, when he played against Alcaraz, obviously the crowd were a little bit favorite to Alcaraz, but also he got a lot of support. But, when he played Tiafoe, it was all Tiafoe, and he was kind of like, you know, the outsider. So, he's really got to use the crowd cuz he is the American hope. And he's also got to serve well if he's going to get the win. Is Zverev going to win this one? He needs to keep his cool. He's got experience at this level, but not only that, he knows how to win Grand Slams now. So, if he can just use that confidence and that experience and try and move Shelton around the court and limit the errors because he hit a lot of errors in the semis, he should be able to get the win. Very fun match-up here, and we get another random final, I guess you could call it. But, I have to go with Sasha in a close four-setter. I reckon Shelton might excite the crowd, get maybe one of the first two sets, make it close, but I just feel like Zverev is just, you know, in such great form this year, and I'm just going to go with him with a four-set win.
