Video summary
Site-42's director begins the episode by addressing a significant backlog of fan mail caused by a recent ankle injury that led to a long recovery period, severe bouts of depression, and an activation of his ADHD tendencies. Despite feeling overwhelmed by the volume of correspondence, he decides to finally clear out the closet and process the accumulated messages. The first segment features questions from intern Zeta regarding various SCP lore topics, including his opinion on the "puppy machine" anomaly SCP-1459, which he admits is vile but acknowledges that even worse anomalies exist. He also clarifies misconceptions about seeing the face of SCP-096 through fan art, confirms that Skylanders are anomalous but not part of the SCP Foundation due to copyright issues, and offers a tentative "maybe" regarding the Pokémon Malamar being considered a friend after learning more context.
The mail continues with an Easter greeting from containment hazard assessment team regular Amber, which includes a delightful card and motivational stickers, though the director humorously notes that one sticker prominently features an Uncontained Anomalies transport device, making him feel mocked for his injury. Following this, he receives a handwritten log from Dr. Blackwood of Site-74's security department indicating that their site has been transported into a pocket dimension despite mobile task force efforts to neutralize the anomaly. The director suggests that Dr. Blackwood consult the logs from Site-107, featured on the Find Us Alive podcast, as they faced a similar displacement into a pocket dimension, hoping those records might offer a solution for the current crisis at Site-74.
The main event of the video is the opening of an incredibly complex puzzle box sent by someone from the Chaos Insurgency, which has sat in his PO box since June 2025. The package contains elaborate binary codes, references to GLaDOS and the song "Want You Gone" from Portal 2, a Caesar cipher, and various other items that require decontamination by intake staff. After struggling with the mental load of deciphering these elements while recovering his broken body and psyche, the director expresses deep gratitude for the support he has received over the last year and a half. He emphasizes that Site-42 is not just him as the site director but includes all its staff and fans who have stuck by him for nearly eleven years, promising to continue guiding the project in the direction his audience desires.

Site 42 has a PO box, but thanks to an
ankle injury which led to besides a long
recovery also some severe bouts of
depression, as well as one of you
sending something so complicated looking
that it activated the ADHD trap card of
oh, that looks like a big project. I
better put that off forever.
Well, you might say we have a bit of a
backlog on the Site 42 PO box, but you
know what today? We're cleaning out the
closet, getting caught up. It's mail
time. Our first message is from intern
Zeta who has sent just a litany of
questions. So, let's shotgun these real
quick. [music]
Opinion on SCP 1459 any experiment you
conduct with it. This is the puppy
machine. It is a sort of arcade crane
game as game where it spawns a puppy,
living breathing puppy, and then you
[music]
have to come up with a unique way to
murder the puppy. If you do successfully
create a unique puppy murder scenario,
the machine does that murder of the
puppy and then gives you a cookie for
your success. Uh due to puppy of
interest 42 code named Charlie not
liking that anomaly at all. I also don't
like that anomaly at all.
Also, am I a bad person if 1459 is my
favorite?
Well, we do have much more vile
anomalies. So, I guess no on the way to
maybe.
Does seeing fan art of 096 count as
seeing its face? No, artistic
representations do not count. Could I
possibly work for Site 480 in the
Minecraft division? I'm not their site
director, you have to ask them. Would
Skylanders be considered an SCP? Nope,
because they are a separate copyrighted
intellectual property. So, they are
anomalous, but not an SCP. And finally,
don't you find it weird how everyone is
calling the Pokémon Malamar their
friend?
Well, I did not know about that. So, no,
but now that I do know about it,
maybe. I I I need more context on this
one. Thank you, intern Zeta. And also
thank you for your cute cute SCP
sketches. Next up we have containment
hazard assessment team regular Amber and
this has Happy Easter so we know exactly
how far behind I am on this one.
Oh and it is a delightful Easter card.
Very adorable. And then we have No! No!
No!
BURN IT!
BURN [screaming] IT!
HUH,
SORRY ABOUT THAT CHAT. I must have
blacked out.
Where were we? Ah, yes I have something
here from a Dr. Blackwood of site 74
security department. It seems to be a
log handwritten and they must be in some
sort of disaster.
>> [music]
>> Site
74 has been transported into a pocket
dimension.
Mobile task force have tried to
neutralize the anomaly to no avail but
they succeeded but it didn't fix the
situation.
Listen, I'm going to recommend to you
Dr. Blackwood that you go to the logs of
what happened to site 107. This is the
Find Us Alive podcast. They also had
their site transported to a pocket
dimension. Perhaps you will find an
answer to help you in your situation as
well. Next up we have a message from
containment hazard assessment team
regular Amber. Haven't heard from you
for a bit. Hope you're doing well.
>> [music]
>> And uh as they say in obedience school
heel. Ah, so this is about the ankle
injury. I appreciate your well wishes of
health as well as motivational stickers
such as the horrors [music] persist but
so do I or save water drink Dr. Pepper
which is just good health advice or the
question simply but did you die?
It turns out I didn't.
And yet Amber here, I can't help but
notice that you have stuck
Uncontained Anomalies transport device
front and center in this bag of get well
stickers. It's almost most like you
don't want me to get well at all. It's
almost like you're mocking me for the
second time today
in your first message to me.
Oh,
getting a migraine now.
Did I take amnestics earlier?
And that brings us to our main event
today apparently because you, whoever
sent this to me, is the reason this has
taken so long. I have apparently, from
the Chaos Insurgency,
some sort of This is a puzzle box.
There's a YouTube video link on this.
There's
>> [music]
>> binary codes. There's all sorts of
rigmarole here. I'm more than a little
perplexed and worried to know what this
is about.
But here we go.
Side A has GLaDOS. This YouTube link
leads to the song Want You Gone, the end
credits of Portal 2. This all says
something along the lines of
uh My song to you, thanks GLaDOS. Oh,
and you'll need this. And it leads to
the Caesar cipher, which okay, we've got
one side done.
This binary just says Sherm, that is in
fact me.
And this side's binary is just literally
this symbol. These numbers are this
emote icon symbol, I guess. A six-eyed
smile. Interesting entity I guess we're
dealing with.
There's some characters on this side
that just says more where that came
from. And then there's this uh
Wingding decoder, but I don't see any
Wingdings. But whatever's in this box
feels very heavy, so I'm wondering if
it's going to come in handy there.
>> [music]
>> You know, I checked the date on the
postage of this box and it was sent in
June of 2025, so it has taken me more
than a year to have the energy to open
this thing. Uh be careful not to hurt
yourself. Uh recovery takes for gosh
darn ever. It It seriously does.
And upon opening it, we find just the
most elaborate pile of knicknackery. I'm
I'm really going to have to give this to
intake cuz they are going to need to
check all of this to see if it's [music]
anomalous. This is This is a little bit
insane. So, thank you intern Cyrus for
that litany of possibly anomalous
objects that I need to decontaminate
from later. And thank you and apologies
to everybody who sent in PO box fan mail
and I have not gotten to in a while.
It's been a long long year and a half
rebuilding my broken body and psyche and
pulling myself out of the cobwebs and
coffins to get ourselves up and running
again here at Site 42 at nominal
capacity, let alone the rockets that we
are trying to ride up to all the cool
things we want to do in the future. So,
[music]
I thank you guys for not just the fan
mail, but for being here along for the
ride, especially through this last year
because at the end of the day, I'm just
the site director, but Site 42 is all of
its staff. That means you guys. I can't
do what I do without you and I thank you
guys for sticking by me for the last
[music] what, 11 years? And I will do my
best to continue to take Site 42 in the
direction that you guys want to see it
go in. I thank you for your service.
I'll see you at the next fan mail exposé
when we get some more in the PO box.
I'll see you at the next video and
stream. Be safe, be well, and as always,
secure,
contain, protect.
