Yep!! We Are Moving ... Again!!!

Hi everybody. So, it's been like a week and a half since I picked up the camera, I think. Um, it's been a couple of weeks since I put anything on YouTube. I don't mean to delay things this long, but life has been extra hectic. Um, we had the death of a dear friend and a vacation to go visit family and a house popped up that was our ideal house from day one when we first moved to Oregon. Um, it needs work, but it popped up for sale 2 days before we left on said vacation to go see family and we decided to go forward with it. So, we've literally hit the ground running in all different directions at the same time. Um, we are in escrow on the house. We, cross your fingers, if everything goes well, we will be moving. Um, it's a singlestory with a a finished walkout basement and, um, the art room will be smaller than what I have now. That's okay. I can deal with that. Um, husband will be home full-time. He's going to be retiring in November. Um, we've both applied for social security. Um, I'll be hanging out in the art room a lot as always, but also hanging out with the husband and doing things with him. So, and the house does need some TLC. So, um, we'll be working on that, but it's just been a lot. It's like [sighs] it's been a lot. I haven't even sketched or anything in a few days. I'm going to try to fix that tonight. Um, we do have a banking appointment this afternoon. I just, um, I've been going through things and purging, packing a little bit, mostly just purging things that I have known in the back of my mind need to go anyway. Um, yes, some art supplies, but also other things. And so, I've been doing that and taking care of that. I also have needed for months now to go through our pile of tax returns. We have a tendency to just keep them all. When we first moved to Oregon, we had tax returns from like 1982. We moved in 2018. So, yeah. Anyway, um they piled up again. So, I went through that and I took out some stuff to be shredded this morning. And, um it's been a lot. Anyway, I did take some really cool pictures while we were away um in the Midwest and the East Coast, and I did already do some sketches from some set of said pictures. If I haven't included them in the video yet, here they are. I also have to finish my lessons with sketching Scotty. I'm working on the people and um making sure I leave a bag of supplies out for myself to work with to sketch or crochet or knit or something while the moving process and packing process is going on. So, yeah. Anyway, I'm sweaty again. It's been hot and muggy. I think we brought it home with us from the Midwest and the East Coast. just yeah, I'm going to sit and relax for a little bit after helping the very nice lady who I've met via the local Buy Nothing group um pick up another load of creative supplies for herself and her daughter. And uh yeah, I'm just going to chill. I need to finish my vitamins. I'll be back. Hello everybody. It has been a bit again. Just 2026 is full of changes. Not all of them bad, some of them good. And so, yeah. [sighs and gasps] Uh, anyway, I haven't got a lot done because of said changes. And but I did get this. Let's see if I can lift it up just a little bit. It's still drying. If you can read what that says. It will eventually be turned into a sign to hang on my art room um door probably. I have a little bit of matte varnish left. We're going to use what we have. Um, yeah, there's a lot going on. [sighs] Um, [snorts] my son-in-law's mom's not doing well. Not that really I really thought she would be, but I was hoping anyway. And of course, I'm trying to do two things at once. It's not really working well. Um, I've been just taking today to be quiet. I haven't gotten a lot done. I'm just being quiet and sitting in my chair. Um, which is fine. I am going to head out in a little bit, go pick up grandson from daycare and um, get him home. And yes, some other stuff is going on. Um, but yeah, we will be setting up a new art room soon. So, stay tuned for that. Um, I'll fill you in more on that when I can. And [sighs and gasps] yes, I have another cold. Thank you, grandson. You know, it's a thing. All right, I'll be back. >> Hi, guys. Sounds echoey, doesn't it? Yeah. This is a new house. It's about 5 minutes. It's literally like 5 minutes from the kids. It's around the corner. You can walk here. And we are prepping it to move in. I'm here by myself pulling stuff off the walls and getting things taken down progress. All right, I'm going to sit and have a snack and some water because I'm hot and I'll be back. All right, you guys. end of babysitting day on Monday, August 3rd. Yesterday was my birthday. I am now a whopping 63 years old. How the heck did that happen? I have no idea. What did the husband buy me for my birthday? A new house. So, we're moving. Yeah. Anyway, for privacy reasons, not going to say where, but it is still in the state of Oregon and closer to our children and grandson, so it's all good. It's just a hassle and a pain in the neck. Um, spent all weekend prepping the new house, getting it ready ready for some contractors to do some work on it before we move in, and also packing up and decluttering this house because I have a tendency. I like stuff. I like color. I have artwork hanging everywhere. We've got this plate. Can you even see that? It's a plate. Memory family family photo wall. Um anyway, all of it's got to come down. Just a few paintings can stay up. That's it. So, we have to declutter so the house can be sold. and my knee hurts. [snorts] It's all good. Um, the art room is going to be smaller than the current one, which is fine. It's not quite as small as the old one, but but close. Um, but it's going to be reconfigured differently and um, there'll be plenty of room for stuff because I have in the 8 years decided what I do and don't like working on what makes me happy. Um, there is a closet right outside where the art room's going to be that I think is supposed to be a linen closet. Probably is going to end up being bonus art room storage. So, there's that. And it's already got shelves in it. Um, so yeah, I've been working on that when I'm not babysitting. I just got finished filling my car with more stuff to get all over to the new house. And we'll do that as soon as Mister's off work and check and see if any contractors made it over today to get anything done and bring the garbage can in and check the mail. Yeah, I know. We're crazy. Absolutely. I'm not doing this again. I swear to God I am not doing this again. I'll be back to self. Add the clip from the old house before this one. All right. So guys, we're at the new house and this will be the new art room. Yes, it's green. That that'll be white. And that's going to be a built-in bookcase of cabinets on the bottom at some point. For right now, when we finally get moved in, it'll be jammed up with my cube shelves. But I love it. And got some beautiful windows. And [sighs] yeah, it's all good. [gasps] Scary and exciting and stressful all at the same time cuz Yeah. All right. Right up below everybody. Lead with the other foot. The less sore knee. Yes, we're at back at the old house. Yes, I have different clothes on. It's been a couple of days. Filming on a regular basis right now has been nion impossible. Anyway, the upstairs is other than putting a few knickknacks away from mainly Mr. Bob's office cuz he's working still. Um, ready for showing. And it's echoey in here. This is the art room, but she's mostly empty. Are you ready for this? >> Yeah, she's mostly empty. And ready to go. Really weird. It's weird to be here and have this be like this. It's weird to have this happening right now. [sighs] The whole thing is weird, but it'll be good despite the weirdness. All right, I am done with babysitting grandson for the day. So, I'm going to go sit down for a minute while Mr. Bob finishes his work day and then we're going to get my car loaded so that I can take a load of stuff over there tomorrow and put the desk [clears throat] that used to be right there back together again. Had to come apart to go downstairs and we're going to be giving it away along with a few other things. So, I want to get some pictures. So, we're going to take care of that tonight. And then tomorrow, I'm going to have my coffee, morning coffee, get dressed, and head to the new house. And uh [sighs] yeah. All right. I'll be back. This has become my life right now. When I'm not babysitting, I'm sitting in the car at the new house with a breakfast bar. Coffee. Coffee is right over there waiting for contractors. Mhm. I did bring knitting with me, but I need to eat something first. I'll be back. Hi guys. >> [sighs] >> My legs hurt, my knees hurt, my arms hurt, my body hurts. I'm tired. Moving sucks. The end result will be good, but the process is not fun. Anyway, we spent the day I think it's already almost 5:00. I don't even know. Um, we spent the day moving more stuff to the new house and getting a few things sorted at the new house. We're only We can only do so much while some construction's going on, but we did what we could. We have another week or so, week and a half until all of that is done. Uh maybe two weeks at the most. And then we can um start get the house cleaned thoroughly and move in. move in [sighs] and get back to a normal regular schedule. Yeah. All right. Wow. [sighs] Okay. Anyway, we're going to go get some grocery shopping done. We need some stuff and I'll be back, everybody. We are at the new house and the interior painting for the most part is done. Contractors are here now today doing floors and then what's left of the painting basically touch-ups will be done tomorrow and then we're ready to start moving stuff in. Yeah. So my new art rooms appro approximately 11 by 13 give or take a few inches. And I am going to put up a I'm thinking how I'm going to do this. I think I'm going to put up a an image here. This is the floor plan. That was the floor plan of the new art room. the what was the closet is going to be a built-in um cabinets and bookshelf with a countertop. So, that being said, how would you arrange the art room? Where [snorts] would you put things? The drawing desk, some of the cube shelves. How would you do it? I'd love your feedback. All right, I'm going to go have some more coffee cuz God, I need more coffee. I'll be back. Good morning everybody. I know it's been a while. As you can see, we're in the new house. I know. I got a lot of stuff to unpack. Plumbers are coming by today. [sighs] [gasps] Yeah. All right, let's get her done. So I know right now like right there the door the door is behind you. My big cube shelves are going to go there. Obviously for right now that blue shelf is going to go there. Drawing desk is over there. And then there in the what was the closet will eventually be cabinets and bookshelf. Right now all my other cube shelves are in there. and we're going to try to put everything away and really kind of brutally go through things that don't make me happy and let them go. That's the plan anyway. I'll be back. Okay, this is as far as I made it. So, we've got that. We're doing pretty good. I did get rid of a lot of stuff before we even moved, but also look at that. I know, right? All right, I'm going to put some stuff down. It's time to sit and take a break. Plus, the gentleman who's coming to get all the move moving boxes and paper we currently have for his mom who is moving is on his way. So, he'll be here in like 7 minutes. I'll be back. Tired. Um, [sighs] turn on at least one light. I, um, did some more work on the art room. Our computer is now plugged in and running. Um, sewing/ computer desk is in. Um, art bags are put away in the place that they're going to be put away unless I need one of them, which is not in here. That is a pile of unfinished objects, which I have to work on. uh folding sewing craft table and drawing oops drawing desk section and then we have this and then that which I can't do anything about until the IKEA pegboard goes back on the wall and then then I can put all of these things away that I want to have put away and sort through them and all that. So anyway, I'm gonna sit down and relax because holy cow, this moving shit's hard [laughter] everybody. So we are here in the new art room and the house as a whole is about 90% 95% unpacked and settled. This is our new creative space. very full, not super big, but I love it. Um, I've purged a lot of stuff and kept what I love. I will probably continue to keep purging. That would be my guess because there's probably stuff I don't need to keep, but we'll see what happens. Um, yeah, I'm pretty happy. It's been great. um getting settled. The process of moving is not fun. Um and the process of uh um packing and unpacking and deciding what to keep and what not to keep and it's just a lot. Anyway, it's been a long journey for us and I know for you and I've been offline for quite a while. I do have some projects in mind. I want to do some drawing I want to do. Uh some sewing I want to do. Here's a pattern. Um it's a train case pattern. I know I don't need another bag. I just purged a bunch of bags, but I really want to make the bag. So, we're going to make the bag. Um they make it makes me happy to make bags. I need to sort this a little bit better, but for right now it works. Am I having trouble finding some things?
