WW MEAL PREP FOR WEIGHT LOSS - MONTE CRISTO PINWHEELS - BLT PASTA SALAD & STRAWBERRY LASAGNA
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
This week's meal prep video introduces three distinct and easy-to-make recipes designed for weight loss and convenience: Monte Cristo pinwheels, BLT pasta salad, and strawberry lasagna. Before diving into the cooking process, the host shares a personal update regarding her daily supplement routine, specifically highlighting saffron from Saffron Co. She explains that while saffron is traditionally known as a spice, this specific supplement has been a game-changer for her mental clarity, energy levels, and motivation over several months of use. She notes that it helps combat brain fog and stress, particularly during her busy schedule involving YouTube content creation and other work, with many users reporting visible improvements in mood and focus within just five weeks.
The first recipe demonstrated is the Monte Cristo pinwheels, which serve as a hearty breakfast option paired with eggs and fruit. The preparation involves rolling out crescent dough into a rectangle, spreading a warmed jam mixture evenly across it, and layering turkey, ham, Swiss cheese, and an egg before rolling it up tightly. Once rolled, the dough is cut into pinwheel shapes, brushed with an egg wash, and baked until golden brown and crispy. After cooling completely, the finished rolls are dusted with powdered sugar to mimic the classic Monte Cristo dessert style, creating a savory yet sweet meal that is perfect for prepping in advance for the week.
For lunch, the host prepares a refreshing BLT pasta salad featuring bowtie pasta coated in a creamy dressing made from buttermilk, mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, and pepper. The assembly process includes mixing the cooked and cooled pasta with the dressing, followed by the addition of fresh tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled crispy bacon, and chopped romaine lettuce. This colorful and nutrient-dense salad is designed to be stored in a container with a lid for easy consumption throughout the week, offering a balanced meal that combines familiar flavors like bacon and tomato with a tangy, creamy base that keeps it interesting without being heavy.
To conclude the meal prep session, the video features a no-bake strawberry lasagna dessert made entirely from pretzels to create a crunchy crust. The recipe layers crushed pretzels mixed with sugar and melted butter at the bottom of a baking dish, followed by a smooth cream cheese mixture sweetened with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. This is topped with a layer of strawberry pie filling and finished with whipped topping before being refrigerated for at least six hours to set. This dessert provides a satisfying sweet treat that requires no oven time, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy a decadent flavor profile while maintaining a structured and efficient weekly meal planning routine.

For my breakfast this week, I'm making
Monte Cristo pinwheels. Well, hello.
Welcome to this week's meal prep. I
wanted to hop on really quick and say
hello because I don't show my face as
often as I should and let you know how
excited I am for this week's meal prep.
We have some really fantastic easy
recipes. I'm just getting ready to go
into the kitchen to start my meal prep.
Had my protein coffee this morning,
started taking my supplements and and
this is one of the supplements I take
every single day. I updated you guys a
few weeks ago about Saffron and I've
been getting some questions on an
additional update. So, I thought I would
fill you in on how I'm liking Saffron
Co's saffron supplement. This has really
been the best kept secret in wellness
for over 3,000 years and when people
think of saffron, they think of a spice
in their cabinet. There's more to
saffron than that. In a world where we
are overworked, overstressed, just burnt
out in general, taking a supplement that
helps us feel alive again after just a
few weeks is so important. And what's
great about Saffron Co is you'll notice
visible results within 5 weeks. I've
been taking saffron now for several
months. So, I have noticed an incredible
difference in mental clarity, less brain
fog, energy, motivation, less stress.
It's just been a huge game changer. It's
not a caffeine pill. It's kind
[clears throat] of a slow glow up.
People typically notice results like I
said within about 5 weeks. And for me, I
am extremely busy. Between YouTube and
Rise, I work a lot and mental clarity is
essential and brain fog is also a real
thing. Saffron Co helps me make it
through my busy work schedule. Between
long editing, going live on TikTok,
preparing for parties, preparing for
videos, this has really changed truly my
life. And what's really great is if you
suffer from ADHD, people have noticed
incredible results with saffron. And
like myself, 94%
of people that take Saffron Co's
saffron, feel happier, more motivated
within five short weeks. I will go ahead
and put it here on the screen the
information and the discount for Saffron
Co's saffron. I will have it linked down
in the description box for you. If you
are busy, burnt out, unmotivated, tired,
Saffron Co is going to literally change
the game for you. You will see a huge
difference in such a short period of
time.
>> I'm actually really excited for this.
Going to pair this with some eggs, some
fruit. You're going to need some type of
jam or spread. I'm going to do two roll,
two cans of crescent rolls. You want 12
oz total and each of these is eight. So,
I'm going to make just a little bit
extra than the original recipe. Swiss
cheese, ham, turkey, an egg and a little
bit of water. So, I went ahead and
rolled out my crescent dough. We're just
going to kind of squeeze that together
just so there's no gaps into a
rectangle. And then I put my jam in the
microwave for about 20 seconds.
We're going to put that on the crescent
rolls and then using a pastry brush, you
just want to flat brush that on nice and
thin.
Then you're going to add your turkey,
ham and cheese and you just want to keep
that about a half of an inch to an inch
away from the edge so we can roll it up.
And going to take your crescent roll
starting with the edge and you're going
to roll that up.
And I kind of pinch the sides as I go
just to kind of keep all of the goodies
on the inside. Then when you get to the
end just pull the dough over and again
pinch everything closed. And to line a
baking sheet with some foil.
And then with a serrated knife you're
going to go ahead and cut
your pinwheels.
And here is what they're going to look
like. We're going to place these on the
baking sheet. Then we're going to take
our egg and we're just going to mix that
together and do an egg wash right over
the top.
Going into a 375°
oven until they're cooked through. You
want your crescent rolls nice and brown
and crispy.
The pinwheels are out of the oven. Ooh,
these smell and look so good. You're
going to let them cool completely
and then you can sprinkle on a little
bit of powdered sugar.
For my lunch this week I am making a BLT
pasta salad. So you're going to need
bowtie pasta, sour cream, buttermilk,
mayonnaise, pepper, romaine lettuce,
bacon, chives, and tomatoes.
I forgot you're also going to need
shredded cheddar cheese. I'm going to
cook my bacon. Mine's just going to get
warmed up. You just want to cook yours
until crispy. Chop up my chives and have
my tomatoes. We're going to cook the
pasta per package directions.
So to make the dressing for the salad we
need a cup of buttermilk,
half of a cup of mayo,
1/4 cup of sour cream,
chives,
and some pepper. And then we're just
going to mix that together, and that's
going to form the dressing for our pasta
salad.
I have my pasta drained, cooled, rinsed.
We're going to add in the dressing,
and then go ahead and mix that. Just
coat that pasta with the dressing.
We are adding in our tomatoes and our
remaining chives,
the cup of shredded cheese.
Give that a quick mix.
And then you're going to crumble in your
bacon and add your chopped up romaine.
And then you're going to give that one
stir, and then add any salt and pepper
you would like to taste.
And here is the pasta salad. This looks
absolutely incredible. I'm going to pop
a lid on it, and we will have it for the
week. For dessert this week, I'm making
strawberry lasagna. This is a no-bake
recipe, and I'm excited. You are going
to need some pretzels. I just happen to
have these Bats and Jacks, so I'm going
to use those. Sugar, powdered sugar,
vanilla extract, strawberry pie filling,
two containers of whipped topping,
butter or light butter, and cream
cheese.
So, I took my pretzels, put them in a
Ziploc bag, and crushed them up. We're
going to add them to a bowl.
You're going to add a 1/4 cup of sugar
or sugar substitute.
Then we're adding our melted
And we're going to mix together. We want
this to basically look like a wet
sand.
We're going to add it to a bottom of a 9
by [music] 13 baking dish.
Spread that out and then using the back
of a spoon or a measuring cup, you're
going to flatten it so that it holds
together like a crust. Into a bowl,
you're going to add your softened cream
cheese.
Half of a cup of powdered sugar.
Vanilla extract.
And then one of your containers of Cool
Whip.
And you can use a handheld mixer, spoon,
but you're going to mix until creamy.
Over the pretzels, you're going to
spread your cream cheese layer as evenly
as possible.
Then you're going to spoon your
strawberry filling on top of the cream
cheese.
And then our other container of Cool
Whip, we're going to spread that on top.
Then you're going to cover this, put it
in the fridge for a minimum of 6 hours.
