Video summary

The video features a weekly grocery haul from a local Fry's store, where the creator takes advantage of first-of-the-month senior discounts and various sales to stock up on essentials for weight loss and meal preparation. A significant portion of the shopping trip is dedicated to Troy's dietary needs, including two gallons of 1% milk and a variety of protein-rich snacks like Daisy cottage cheese cups in strawberry and pineapple flavors. The creator also highlights a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Sabra hummus, which she plans to pair with Wheat Thins for an easy snack, alongside her usual roasted red pepper and garlic varieties. Additionally, she purchased butcher's blend meat and specific types of ham for upcoming recipes, noting that the ham was on sale for a significantly reduced price compared to its regular cost. A major focus of the haul is on snacks and treats, particularly chips and candies, which are often bought in bulk due to promotional offers like buy-two-get-three-free deals on Cheetos Puffs, Fritos, and Cool Ranch varieties. The creator explains that she had to restock Fritos because someone accidentally ate some reserved for a specific dinner recipe. She also indulges in seasonal favorites, setting aside candy corn and mini pumpkins for Halloween decorations while enjoying Nature Valley Bento Boxes as a quick, healthy option containing almonds, cheese, and blueberries. For frozen meals intended to simplify dinners when working, she selected chicken alfredo and Italian sausage lasagna, along with a white cake and berry-filled bites that were on sale, ensuring there are convenient options available for the week ahead. The shopping list concludes with fresh produce and salad kits designed to support easy meal planning. The creator bought a large bag of mandarins and bananas for Troy, who consumes them nightly, along with multiple bags of grapes which she describes as her current favorite cold snack. She also added a watermelon and several Caesar salad kits, acknowledging a recent listeria concern but confirming she has had no issues with the brand. These salads are chosen for their high protein content and convenience, allowing her to cook chicken and assemble a balanced meal quickly. The video ends by previewing the week's menu, which includes a walking taco casserole utilizing the purchased Fritos, an Italian hoagie pasta salad for lunch, and a tropical dump cake for dessert, with full recipes promised for the following Tuesday.

Here is my grocery haul for the week from my local Fry's store, which is a Kroger store. We had some really good deals this week and it's the first Wednesday of the month, so I got the senior discount. We're not mad, so let me show you what I picked up for the week. Oh, what you don't see is 4 gallons of Milo's zero calorie tea for Troy. So I did get 2 gallons of 1% milk. Troy goes through a couple gallons of milk every single week. I got two of the Daisy cottage cheese cups. These have been really great for me to eat as a snack when I'm working, when I'm live. So I did one strawberry and one pineapple. Just helps me get in my protein and again, the perfect snack. The Sabra hummus was buy one get one free. And I saw a girl on TikTok who was putting Wheat Thins in the hummus and I have that big box of Wheat Thins from Costco. So I thought, yes, I'm going to get some hummus and try that. So I did one of the roasted red pepper, which is typically my favorite, and then [clears throat] a roasted garlic. I thought again, that would be a really good easy snack. I did get 2 lb of the butcher's blend meat. Again, I use this when I make Troy spaghetti, sloppy joes, things like that. So for that price, I grabbed a couple pounds. I also got some ham. I need it for a recipe and after the meal, after the grocery haul, you'll see what's on my menu for dinner. This week as well as for the meal prep. I missed last week, as you know, I took some time off, but I'll be back with meal prep for you guys on Tuesday. So I got the applewood smoked and the black forest. This was on sale for $3.99, normally $5.99. So that's a pretty good deal. All natural, uncured, just good ingredient lunch meat. The mother lode of chips. These were buy two get three free. These will be great for entertainment entertaining when I do stuff with my boot camp group, snacking all the things. So, I got the Cheetos Puffs, two bags of Fritos, one scoop and one regular. I also need that for a dinner recipe because somebody, not naming any names, starts with a T, ends with a Y, ate some of my Fritos that are for my dinner. So, I had to restock those, and then I got a bag of Cool Ranch, and a bag of Crunchy Cheetos. If you know, you know. I treat myself every year to a bag of candy corn. I'm going to actually put this aside until I decorate for Halloween, and I have a cute little bowl that I put on my counter. So, I'm going to put the candy in there. And then another thing I have to get every year is one bag of the mini pumpkins. I don't know what it is about the pumpkins, but they're better than any other Reese's. So, mini pumpkins it is. And then I got five, I actually ate one on my way home I from boot camp and the grocery store. These are the Nature Valley Bento Boxes. These were on sale for $1.79, which is really good. So, this one is like a sweet almond, cheese, and blueberries. And then I got three of these, I ate one. This is blueberries, regular almonds, and cheese. And I'm telling you, these are a really, really, really good, quick, healthy snack. Absolutely love them. I got a couple of frozen meals. Again, when I'm working, these are things that we can just throw in the oven, makes a quick meal for Troy. Uh he loves chicken alfredo, so I had to get that. Never tried the Kroger brand, but I've heard good things. So, one chicken alfredo and then one Italian sausage and meat lasagna. Again, I thought that would be a quick and easy meal. This was on sale for $3. I thought this will be fun to have this week, just a little bit, little sweet treat. It's a white cake, white frosting. And then I also got these for Troy. I personally don't really like these, but he does. These are those little berry-filled bite things. They were on sale, so I grabbed those. I did get a Caesar salad kit because it was good deal and I figured that I could cook up some chicken, throw that on there again for an easy meal. And actually speaking of easy meals, I did get a couple of the she's Caesar salad kits. I got these before and actually really liked them. 21 g of protein again quick easy meal. I will probably have one today before I go live for Rise. So, grabbed two of those and yes, I am aware of the listeria situation with Taylor Farms. I haven't had issues. And then I don't know but lately I have been craving microwave popcorn. Like craving it. So, I got two boxes. I got the extra butter and the movie theater butter. I thought that would be a good night time snack. And then these are my favorite little snack packs. It is the apples, cheese, pretzels. You got These were on sale for $3.60 for four of them, which is a really good deal because normally they're a couple bucks a piece. So, as long as I eat them quickly, which I will, I grabbed that. And then for produce, a big huge bag of mandarins. Troy and Palmer eat these every single night. So, I grabbed those and then of course bananas for him for the week. And the mother load of grapes. I'm still on the major grape kick. Cold crispy grapes. That's what I really want as a snack. So, I got two bags and then lastly a watermelon. So, that is everything for the week. Let's jump into what's on my menu for dinner and this week's meal prep. So, here is what is on my menu for the week. I'm doing the walking taco casserole. This is basically like those little bags of Frito casserole taco things. We're going to make a spin on that. That's what I needed the Fritos for. And then for my meal prep for breakfast, we do a potato egg scramble. Lunch is going to be Italian hoagie pasta. Very excited for that. Like a pasta salad. And then I'm making a tropical dump cake for dessert. So, stay tuned for all three recipes on Tuesday. >> [music]
