Video summary
The video provides a comprehensive overview of the Elemental Shaman talent tree specifically designed for WoW Classic Plus, detailing numerous mechanical changes and new abilities introduced in this version. Key talents such as Convection reduce the mana cost of core spells like Shock and Lightning Bolt, while Concussion increases their damage output by 5%. The tree also features Elemental Warding to mitigate nature damage from fire, frost, and nature effects, alongside Reverberation which significantly reduces the cooldown of Shock spells by up to one second. Other notable additions include Call of the Flame for boosting fire totem and spell damage, Elemental Devastation which converts offensive spell critical strikes into melee critical strike chances, and Elemental Focus that offers a chance to enter Clear Casting for zero mana costs on subsequent spells.
Further down the tree, talents like Elemental Fury enhance critical strike damage bonuses from searing magma totems and elemental spells, while Improved Fire Nova increases fire spell damage and reduces its cooldown. The talent Eyes of the Storm addresses survivability by reducing pushback suffered during casting, a change the speaker notes is particularly beneficial given that three points are allocated to it rather than the usual two. Elemental Reach extends the range of major lightning and fire spells, and Lightning Overload introduces a mechanic where Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning have a chance to cast a second, lower-damage instance on the same target without additional cost, effectively solving threat issues for hybrids in PvE environments. Additionally, Earthbound provides frequent immobilization via the Earthbind Totem with a short cooldown, and Elemental Equilibrium further reduces cast times for key spells.
The discussion then shifts to the Enhancement Shaman tree, where the speaker expresses strong opinions on class design philosophy and player fantasy. He advocates for supporting two-handed weapon specialization as a viable option for Enhancement Shamans, drawing parallels between their struggles and those of Retribution Paladins. The speaker believes that Shamans should have robust tanking capabilities comparable to Vanilla-era Paladins and that the talent tree should ideally support both dual-wielding and two-handed DPS builds, though he acknowledges this is a difficult balancing act. Specific talents mentioned include Earth's Grasp for increasing Stoneclaw health and radius, Thundering Strikes which boosts critical strike chance on all spells and attacks by 5%, and Ancestral Knowledge for additional intellect. Guardian Totems are enhanced to reduce damage taken more effectively, while Mental Dexterity converts a significant portion of Intellect into Attack Power.
The video concludes with the speaker noting that due to time constraints at Blizzcon, he could not cover every class in depth but aimed to provide enough information for viewers to understand the current state of Shaman talents. He promises a more detailed discussion upon returning home and thanks Blizzard for allowing him to record this content despite his streaming issues. The speaker emphasizes that while some aspects like the specific damage values or cooldown reductions might seem unclear due to the rushed nature of the recording, the core message is that these changes represent significant improvements, particularly for Enhancement Shamans who have long needed representation. He ends by encouraging viewers to subscribe and follow his channel for future updates as he continues to explore these topics in greater detail once back home.

First off, thank you guys for all the
support during Blizzcon. It's been
unbelievable. Uh, thank you guys for
watching, following, subing, all that
stuff. I don't have a lot of time. All
right, I thought I was going to have
more time. I didn't get to finish
everything yesterday. There's some
things that have happened since then. I
can't very I can't really explain it,
but you can make some inferences, but
here we are. So, I want to talk about
this. I want to talk about the shaman
talents real quick. We're going to go
through and just go over all the shaman
talents. Unfortunately, I won't be able
to do all the classes, but I got a few
extra minutes and I'm just going to try
to run through as quickly as possible
and maybe get one or two classes in and
just at least show you what they are so
that you know. Okay, we're going through
elemental. This is for WoW Classic Plus.
Convection reduces the mana cost of your
shock, lightning bolt, lava burst, and
chain lightning. Concussion increases
the damage done by your lightning bolt,
chain lightning, and earth shock spells
by 5%. Next up, you have elemental
warding reduces nature damage taken from
fire, frost, and nature effects by 3%.
Uh oh, this probably goes up to 10 9
10%. Uh five, reverberation reduce the
cool down of your shock spells. This
will be up to 1 second. So this is this
is something that already existed. That
1 second makes a pretty big impact. Call
of the flame increases the damage done
by your fire totems and by your flame
shock, fire nova, and lava burst spells
by 5%. 15. Elemental devastation. Your
offensive spell critical strikes will
increase your chance to get a critical
strike with melee attacks by 10% for 10
seconds. Take a breath. We We only got
like 20 minutes max. Elemental focus
gives 10% chance to enter clear casting
after casting any fire, frost, or nature
damage spell. Clear casting state
reduces the mana cost of your spell by
100%. So this is the same. Well,
elemental focus is very nice. Elemental
fury increases the critical strike
damage bonus of your searing magma
totems, your fire, frost, and nature
spells. me 100% more crit strike damage
bonus. Okay, that's a lot of damage. I
think you already Was it 100% before? I
can't remember. 10%. No, it's 10% chance
to reduce the mana cost by 100%. How's
it being in the armor all day? It is
very hot now. I'm heating up. I'm burned
up a little bit. Uh, improved fire nova
increases the damage done by your fire
spell by 20%. Reduces its cool down by 4
seconds. Eyes of the storm reduces the
push back suffered from damaging attacks
while casting lightning bolt. chain
lightning and lava burst by 23. What
would this be?
70%. Okay, so their push back talent is
three. I've said most push back talents
should be two. They did three for the
shaman for some reason. There's probably
a reason for that. Increases the
critical strike chance of your lightning
bolt and chain lightning spells by 3%.
Elemental Reach
increases the range of your lightning
bolt, chain lightning, fire nova, and
lava burst spells by six yards and
increase the range of your flame shock
by 15 yards. Lightning overload gives
your lightning bolt and chain lightning
spells a 10% chance to cast a second
similar spell on the same target at no
additional cost that causes half damage
and no threat. That's nice.
That's nice. Especially the threat issue
for PvE. That is one of the issues for
for elemental shamans for a lot of
hybrids. Sometimes they have to do a lot
of burst damage. It's their threat.
Earthbound. Your Earthbind totem
immobilizes nearby for 5 seconds from
cast. Oh,
what's the cool down on Earthbind? It's
not very long.
15 seconds.
That's kind of crazy. 5 seconds every 15
seconds.
probably some kind of DR too, but still.
Next up, you have uh Elemental Equity.
This is probably half a second. Use the
cast time of your Lightning Bolt, chain
lightning, and lava burst spells by half
a second over three points. It's likely
what that is. And then lava burst. Lava
burst. Okay, you hurl molten lava at the
target, dealing 180 fire damage. If your
flame shock is in the target, lava burst
deals 20% increased damage. Does it look
so foggy in there? It's the amount of
heat that's rising from me. Okay, next
up.
Those of you guys who don't know,
obviously I uh I play a paladin
known for red. I play it all. So,
there's a brotherhood between the
retribution paladins and the enhancement
shamans. Okay, we share the plightes,
share the same struggles. So, my
personal opinion on the shaman has been
two-handed enhance should be a thing.
Two-handed enhance should be supported.
Uh, I also think that shamans in general
should have the capability of doing some
tanking. I think if they tank as well as
paladins do in original like 1.12
vanilla, then that's pretty good. They
can tank dungeons. They can tank some
bosses and some things in raids. I think
enhanced shaman should be able to do
that. I also think that there should be
an emphasis on two-handed t uh
two-handed DPS for enhancement shaman. I
think that's a very cool class fantasy
for the vanilla enhancement shaman
player that
very quickly goes away in Burning
Crusade. Now, with that being said, I
also think dual wield should be an
explorable option. So finding some way
to kind of support both of these these
these things and really all three of
these things in the talents uh I think
is very hard. So I actually think the
shaman in order to have it do all the
things that you would hope that it does
is probably one of the biggest tasks
probably one of the hardest classes to
do.
>> That's what I think. Let's get an
enhance earth's grasp increase your
health of your stone claw by 25 or 50%
radius of birth by 20%. Thundering
Strikes. I have to go faster now because
I realized how how much time this has
already taken and any second they might
show up and then I got to I got to book
it. Thundering Strikes improves your
chance to get crit with all spells and
attacks by 5%. First hero of the tree.
That's crazy. That's very good. Uh
ancestral knowledge 10% more intellect.
Guardian totems increase the amount of
damage reduced by stone skin and wind
wall at 20%. Reduce the cool down of
grounding totem by two seconds. Mental
dexterity increase your attack power by
an amount equal to 100% of your
intellect. Paladins, rep paladins deep
in the tree have a very similar uh have
a very similar talent, but theirs is
spell power from improved ghost wolf
getting the instant cast ghost wolf.
Sorry, I keep looking over in case like
I'm about to get kicked off. Increase
the damage done by your lightning shield
by 15% with improved lightning shield.
Elemental weapons increases the melee
attack power bonus of your rock fighter
by 21% and your windfere weapon by 13
40%. Increase the damage caused by a
flame ton weapon. Oh, time to go. Okay.
No, we're all good. I don't want to I
don't want to take too much time. So, I
got to go. I got to kick it off. So,
here's what we're going to do. I'm going
to scroll over real quick and you're
just going to see them. Sorry. I'm going
to talk about a lot of stuff when I get
home at Blisscon. So, I'm just going to
scroll over and the editor is going to
pause on every single one of these and
that way you'll at least know where
things are and I'll talk about a lot of
stuff when I get home from Blizzcon.
Okay? Just so I don't leave the
enhancement shaman hanging. You can make
your own inferences. We could talk about
this stuff. Uh I am going to switch off
here in a second. Chat, by the way,
>> if you uh
give me a second. We're going to run
some clips for a minute
and then East will be back very soon
and we're going to go for another couple
hours of the con before we reset. So,
they got to go. They got they got other
people here. They got uh they're
scheduled to be on in 10 minutes. So,
uh, huge shout out Blizzard for letting
me hop on to at least do one more video,
show stuff. I've had a lot of shaman
players like hit me up and ask me about
that stuff. So, that's it.
That's a panda chinglish. So, yeah,
bunch of bunch of bunch of good stuff.
So, thanks to Blizzard. Let me let me
hop on real quick while my stream was
effed and I was like, let's knock some
stuff out. A lot of enhancement shaman
guys have hit me up and have been
talking like, we need somebody to speak
up for the enhancement shamans. But here
it is. Here's the uh all the shaman
stuff. I'll see you guys next time. Make
sure to sub to everything, follow
everything. Sorry this video wasn't more
in depth. I'm just getting it out there
at least so you guys can see the stuff.
And come check out the channel. I'll
talk about a lot more when I get back
home from this time. Thanks for
watching. Everything is SPF TV.
Everything and follow me everywhere
except for real life.
