Video summary
The video explores the psychological reasons why individuals who are currently in relationships often feel compelled to shame single people. The speaker argues that many people settle for the bare minimum in partnerships, ignoring high-quality potential partners who are driven and disciplined in favor of those who are easier to control or less demanding. Once they have secured a relationship, these individuals often become dissatisfied and begin to find faults with their partners, yet they refuse to confront this reality. Instead of accepting that their own emotional needs were not met as children or that they do not know how to give unconditional love, they retreat into fantasies and project their insecurities onto single people. By criticizing those who are alone, they create a false narrative where being in a relationship is superior, allowing them to feel superior and in control while masking their deep-seated insecurity and regret.
This behavior stems from a profound envy of the freedom, independence, and resilience that single people possess. While individuals in relationships often feel trapped by responsibilities, lack of choice, and the sacrifices required to maintain a partnership, they view single people as having an open road ahead with endless possibilities. The speaker notes that those who are coupled may be battling feelings of inadequacy and regret over their current situation, wishing they could go back to a time before they entered a relationship. Consequently, they target the confidence and satisfaction of single individuals because seeing someone else living freely highlights what is missing in their own lives. This projection allows them to externalize their internal pain, making others feel wrong so that they can avoid facing their own unfulfilled dreams and the chaos within their current relationships.
Ultimately, the video concludes that society has been conditioned to believe that fitting into a relationship or group is necessary for survival and happiness, but this is an outdated biological wiring that no longer applies in the modern world. The speaker emphasizes that people who are single should not force themselves into relationships merely to satisfy others or to avoid feelings of inadequacy, as forced actions rarely lead to genuine fulfillment. Instead, individuals should focus on self-discovery and living organically according to their own desires, understanding that everyone experiences emotions like anxiety and depression regardless of their relationship status. By ignoring the expectations of others and recognizing that criticism is a reflection of the critic's internal state rather than a flaw in oneself, single people can find peace and stop letting external shame dictate their lives. The speaker encourages viewers to support one another and remember that many others are also navigating life alone, proving that isolation does not define worth or future potential.

Hello everyone. In this video, I'm going
to be talking about why people like to
shame single people.
People always like to ask you, have you
been seeing someone? Are you dating
anyone?
Do you have a boyfriend yet? Do you have
a girlfriend yet?
And the people who like to ask these
questions
are typically the ones who already have
a relationship.
So, these tend to be people who have
already settle for the bare minimum.
Am I the only one who has noticed this?
Let me know in the comments below.
Because from my experience and from what
I've seen, it seems like people will
pass over some of the best opportunities
they already had in their lives.
potential partners who were driven,
disciplined, hardworking,
people who had it all together.
They will ignore those people or they
will be passive with them. They will
overlook them. They will be for
recreational use,
just something that they use for fun,
something for short term, and then they
discard them.
And then they typically end up with
someone who isn't about anything.
Someone who doesn't have a good job.
Someone who doesn't have any plans for
the future.
So they overlook you for something less
than you. They never actually find
something better.
But then when they were with you, they
found all of these problems with you.
But now they're suddenly grateful for
what they have.
They're appreciating the little things
now.
And I think the reason for this,
it's because very few people really want
a relationship
because they don't even understand what
they're getting themselves into.
And that is why if you look at most
relationships these days, they are
nothing but chaos and dysfunction,
disappointment.
And then what do they do? They retreat
into fantasy. They imagine a person
who's really just like someone they
already ignored or overlooked or someone
they found all of these problems with.
Because while they may want love,
they're not willing to give love
because they don't even know how to do
that.
They don't know how to give love.
And it's because they were never
unconditionally loved. Their emotional
needs were never met as a child. So now
they're just looking for attention and
validation.
But now they're left to settle for
someone who is easier to control,
someone who doesn't have too many
options, or someone who is just using
them,
which isn't what they really want, but
it may make them feel more comfortable
and secure.
But what they really wanted is is what
they already overlooked.
And this is why they like to shame
single people
because they don't want to confront this
in themselves.
But many people have been brainwashed
into thinking that they want a
relationship.
And then once they get it, they're not
happy. It's not what they wanted.
But they do not want to face the
reality.
So they get angry at single people.
They project these things onto you
because it's easier for them rather than
them having to understand what they're
feeling and why they're feeling it.
So they make you feel like something is
wrong with you to make themselves feel
superior and in control
when really they're actually insecure
because they need to have this sense of
certainty.
They need to feel like they are doing
the right thing by being in a
relationship with whoever it is they're
with
because otherwise their reality doesn't
make sense.
And maybe their entire sense of identity
is based on this relationship.
So they don't even know who they are
without it.
And single people become reminders to
them of that because maybe you're not so
dependent on other people. Maybe you are
able to guide and direct yourself
without external input or influence.
Well, it's not like that for them.
So, they target your confidence.
They make you feel like what you're
doing is wrong,
as though you shouldn't be alone. when
really there is nothing wrong with that.
And they know there isn't.
That's why they get mad because deep
down they know their feelings are the
problem. So they try to irritate you.
They try to get under your skin to make
you feel how they feel so that they can
feel like you're wrong and they're
right. Being in a relationship is good.
Being single is bad.
when really it's because they envy your
freedom. They envy your independence.
They envy your resilience.
They envy how you're working on yourself
and how [clears throat] you're not tied
up in something already
because you can have options.
There's all of these possibilities for
you. You have an open road ahead of you.
Well, for them there's chaos,
roadblocks, obstructions.
They don't have the freedom of choice
like you do. They don't get to choose
how they want to live their lives.
So, it's not as flexible as it may be
with you
because they have this other person to
deal with. They have responsibilities
and maybe they wish they could just go
and do whatever they like,
but they can't.
And they may assume that you're going to
go off and surpass them. You're going to
get a more attractive partner, someone
who is more successful,
someone who can take you places,
someone who you can grow with.
Well, they're just stuck with what they
already have.
And maybe you're just more innocent.
You believe in a brighter future.
You believe that good things can happen
for you. You dream about your ideal
partner
while they're stuck dealing with an
unpleasant reality,
a reality that they refuse to accept
because they can't deal with their
feelings.
So then they project these feelings onto
people who aren't going through what
they're going through. People who are
single, people who still have hopes and
dreams,
people who are open to the possibility
of meeting someone in the future
because maybe they wish they could go
back to a time like that before they got
into a relationship.
And maybe if they could, they would
choose differently.
But this is how you know that some
people are battling feelings of regret.
It's like they have biased remorse.
because they're not as satisfied with
their relationships or with their own
lives.
So, they target your sense of
satisfaction with your own life because
that's what they're missing in theirs.
But this is how people can appear to go
from one relationship to the next.
They can never be alone because they
want to avoid this feeling of
inadequacy.
And when they're with someone, they can
pretend everything is fine. They can put
on a show for everyone else, but really
they're not happy. It's a performance
just for you because they can't accept
who they got. So all they can do is play
pretend that act like they've got it all
together when really they're falling
apart.
And this is how it is. Many people in
relationships these days are being held
back from doing what they really want to
do.
Maybe they would like to travel.
Maybe they would like to have a certain
type of job. Maybe they would like more
freedom but they can't
because maybe their partner doesn't want
to or doesn't approve.
So there are many sacrifices in
relationships
and people do become bitter. They become
resentful
and that is why they shame you
because they see that you don't have to
make these sacrifices.
So when their minds is unfair
when really they made their own choices
and everything in life comes with
sacrifices and rewards. It's just that
they don't want to take accountability
for their own actions or decisions and
it's much easier for them to blame you.
But for them to blame you, they have to
pretend.
They need a false narrative.
And this can leave you very confused
because we all have different interests.
We all have different lives.
So why should we all have to be the
exact same all the time?
And people who are in relationships
or people who are successful in other
things,
they will all do the same things as
anyone else
such as scrolling on their phone, going
to the toilet,
feeling anger, anxiety, and depression.
And it may actually be even more
pronounced than it may be for a regular
person
because in their minds they finally
achieved the dream that they were
chasing. They've got everything they
wanted, the perfect family, friends,
money, success, and yet they're still
not happy.
So now they really think there's
something wrong with themselves.
Because at least if you don't have those
things yet,
you have reasons to not be happy.
You can blame it on not having enough
money or not having a relationship or
the car that you would like.
And yet at the same time,
you also don't have all of these
distractions.
So you're able to focus on yourself
rather than worrying about managing
everything.
You know, here's what I'm seeing in the
world today. It's like everyone just
wants to fit in and once they do, they
feel trapped
and then they start to shame people who
don't fit in because they're envious of
them. They're not really happy in their
group or community.
And yet so many people are so terrified
of not fitting in when nothing is going
to happen. [clears throat]
You're not suddenly going to die just
because you didn't fit in with people.
But this is just our biological wiring
because there was a time where we
couldn't survive without the tribe. We
needed each other because we didn't have
houses. It was difficult to get food.
and there were predators.
But it's not like that anymore.
You don't need to have lots of people.
You don't need to be in a relationship.
So don't feel bad for being single.
And don't try to force yourself into a
relationship just to make other people
happy or because you feel like you have
to.
do what you want to do
because it doesn't feel good to be
forced into something. It is better when
things are natural and organic.
So focus on your own life.
Focus on getting to know yourself
instead of waiting on hand and foot for
whatever other people expect you to be.
Because even if you do set out to
achieve everything they expect of you,
they're never going to be satisfied.
They will always find something wrong
with it and they will always shame you.
So whether you fail or succeed in their
expectations of you, it's not going to
make any difference anyway.
There's never going to be a time where
you can just relax and feel good about
yourself or have the things you wanted.
You could just do that right now by
ignoring their expectations and just
living your life how you want to live
it. by remembering that they are
projecting how they feel about
themselves onto you and it doesn't have
anything to do with you
because you were fine before they
started to criticize you and shame you.
So just keep going with what you're
doing and try not to let it get to you.
So yeah, this is what I've noticed with
people who seem to shame single people.
and what I advise you do in response to
that.
But let me know your experiences. Have
you felt shamed for being single?
And uh how did you respond to it?
Drop it down below in the comments. I
just like to let you all know that, you
know, many people are single in the
world today.
I I think it's one in four people are
experiencing isolation.
So, you're not alone.
And, you know, we do have the supportive
community on here.
So, read the comments, comment below,
and let's support each other.
Thank you for watching, and I'll talk to
you in another video very soon.
