Video summary
The CurrentBody blue light anti-blemish mask appears pink to the naked eye, but this visual effect is actually a result of combining two distinct wavelengths of light: 415 nanometers of blue light and 633 nanometers of red light. While the resulting pink hue might seem unusual, it serves as an indicator that the device is delivering both types of therapy simultaneously. This dual-light approach is particularly appealing to families, such as the speaker's four-year-old daughter, who would enjoy using the mask without being deterred by a stark blue or clinical appearance.
The scientific rationale behind this combination lies in the specific benefits each wavelength offers for skin health. The 415 nm blue light is highly effective at targeting and destroying the bacteria responsible for causing acne, providing a direct treatment for breakouts. When paired with red light therapy, which promotes skin rejuvenation by reducing inflammation and improving blood flow to the skin, the mask delivers a comprehensive solution. This synergy allows users to address active acne while simultaneously supporting overall skin repair and vitality, offering more than just antibacterial properties.
In terms of performance and usability, the speaker tested the device with various tools and found it to be a high-quality option with excellent power output and accurate wavelengths. The mask fits comfortably enough to allow for conversation and movement while in use, and its light coverage is sufficient thanks to a generous number of LEDs, though there is room for slight improvement in how evenly the light reaches every part of the face. Additional features like a chin strap ensure that areas under the jawline are also treated, while the control system remains simple and straightforward for everyday operation.
Ultimately, if you are suffering from acne, this mask represents a strong contender worth considering due to its effective dual-wavelength technology and solid build quality. However, potential buyers should be aware that other options exist on the market that might better suit their specific needs or preferences. The speaker recommends checking out their full review to compare this device with alternatives, ensuring that you choose the therapy mask that offers the best balance of efficacy, comfort, and value for your personal skincare routine.

Some would say that the CurrentBody blue
light anti-blemish mask is putting out
pink light because that's exactly what
it looks like. But, did you know it's
actually 633 red and 415 nm
blue light? Combine the two and it makes
this pretty pink color. My 4-year-old
daughter will love it. So, why would one
want a red light therapy mask that emits
pink light or blue and red light? You
see,
blue light in the 415 nm
is actually very beneficial for
destroying the bacteria that cause acne.
The science is solid on this and if you
combine this blue light with some red
light, which is what this mask does, not
only are you getting the anti-destroying
benefits, but you get some of the skin
rejuvenation benefits, helping with
decreasing inflammation, helping blood
flow to the skin, all of those good
things you want from red light therapy.
So, what is this mask like? Well, I
tested it using a bunch of tools and and
to be honest, it's really good. Great
power output. It's got the right
wavelengths in there. The fit
is pretty good as well. I can talk with
it. I can walk around and see. Light
coverage is good. It could be a little
bit better, but it's got plenty of LEDs
in there. It's got a little chin strap,
so you're getting some coverage under
the chin here. And the strap system and
the controller itself are all very
straightforward. So, hey look,
if you suffer from acne,
this is probably the mask I'd consider.
Though, check out my full review because
there's another mask out there as well
that may be better suited.
