joined by Joey Huffam, CEO of

>> You're welcome. Thanks for having me.
>> Awesome. Well, we're going to hop right
into it. Um
AI is accelerating demand for new data
center capacity. How is that growth
changing the way companies need to plan
and execute large-scale infrastructure
projects?
>> Well,
everything is speeding up, right? They
want to complete these projects much
quicker.
But just speeding things up doesn't
necessarily mean mean things go as
smoothly as planned.
Um does
communication and um coordination become
critical? If you have
there are many um vendors on a job site
and there's cranes and there's all kinds
of complications. And if you don't do a
good job of coordinating all those
pieces,
um actually trying to speed things up
becomes chaos.
>> I like that analogy.
>> It can get worse.
>> Yes.
>> So, it's critical that the coordination
and efficiency improve
via logistics.
>> Speaking of logistics, uh logistics is
often brought into a project after major
procurement and construction decisions
have been made.
Uh but what changes have logistics had
um
at as far as like a seat at the table in
earlier planning process?
>> Historically, we've seen that when we
work with uh clients, that they treat
transportation or logistics as just
transportation. They count on the
vendors to um ship the product and
they're hoping that the product gets
delivered on time. So, what we're trying
to do is work with the um the general
contractors and the owners
to get a seat at the table earlier so
that we can advise them and help them
provide better um logistics on site. For
example,
um
there's certain requirements of not
moving trucks in the neighborhoods and
things like that. So, we can help them
understand that. Um the other thing that
we do is design for transportation where
normally um
trades and vendors, they're creating
products and working with the general
contractors and owners
and they're designing these products
without the thought of transporting
them. So, many times we see that when it
comes time to deliver the product to the
job site, there's all kinds of
complications of how big the product is.
So, we if we come in early, we can help
them design for transportation and make
it what what's what's reasonable and
efficient for transportation. Otherwise,
if you don't do that, it can become very
costly.
Very expensive. So, we're trying to help
help reduce that for the for the
vendors.
>> Awesome. Yes, I think efficiency is key.
I hear that all the time. Um so, final
question, in one word, what factor would
you say is defining the future of
digital infrastructure?
>> Ooh.
Well, from our perspective,
logistics.
More efficient logistics would be uh
critical
to successful project completion.
>> Absolutely. Well, we're happy to have
