Now, let's talk about um your journey as a content creator, as a teacher. How has it been? >> It has been amazing. But it has been amazing. There have been many opportunities and it's something that I am grateful. Sana, yes. >> What are you grateful so far? >> I'm grateful the fact that I don't there are many sources of income. Mhm. [laughter] >> But anyway, [laughter] but anyway, we still learn a lot like I'm learning from many people and I'm learning a lot. like I come to and interact with other people interact and then I learn a few things. >> Wow. >> And grateful moment this year. Grateful moment actually this year. [laughter] So, let me just say a month ago, it was one of my greatest moments when I started the so the the Lulu thing and all and getting the son of the president visiting our school and the children were happy. It was amazing. The children were happy. He brought an impact to the school and also to meet my brand and everything. I can say it's it's amazing. It really meant a lot to me. >> Take us through how did that happen? online. How did that happen? >> Well, what can I say? Skip here. You want to shoot the shot? No, it's something positive for the for the for impact for the for the school, for the student. We saw the impact to the kids. How did that happen? >> How that he came to school and that I I feel like that's what mattered. He came to school and there was an impact. I think that's the greatest thing. I think what else would we expect? But it was a good moment during the the content creation. Someone laughed. There was like there was just a lot going on but by the end of the day there was an impact and as a teacher I stand on like impacting the life the lives of myto like that's what matters by the end of the day. How did you manage to pull all these things happening you know at the same time getting to talk to the president's son getting to talk to the school to allow you know the the judge to come to school the students everything run smoothly for you at the end story amazing interesting president son how was it how did you manage to pull all that >> well um I I can't say I'm the one who pulled all that content creator like most of the You don't plan the next move. You don't plan for it. Like things flow. And by the end of the day, we realized and it became a beautiful thing >> which was let me just say it was unexpected at some point expected but all in all it was good and impactful. >> Very impactful >> to the kids and to the to the school >> school at large. >> How did that impact now your life after that? life in a different angle and this is also an opportunity like if I stuck only in class and all see such a place and uh looking forward we're looking towards improving Kenyan education making it better improving it integrating AI technology and everything into the education system and that is what matters and making education more fun for the children and people are doing great things towards education and for me being exposed to such it's a great thing >> talking about artificial intelligence in schools what do you recommend what plans do you think it can help maybe improve the education sector >> well So one one thing I know about uh in the education sector there's a lot of paperwork and if that paperwork can be it would save a lot of time cuz there is that teacher uh teacher and the child interaction. Why? Because there's a lot of writing lesson plans scheme of work. There's a lot of uh marking books. But when we integrate all these and we embrace the technology, I think all these things will be very very easy. Even time at some of these children they need we have um special need uh special needs children who need more attention and they need to be af but you will find that will not have that time. Why? Because there's a lot of paperwork that needs to be done. There are a lot of deadlines that need to be met. You see a lot. So if we something that was supposed to be done within a day, it is done within seconds. >> Going back to President R's son visit to your school. >> There was a moment to drawing. Are you the one who brought the idea? class. >> Oh, when he came to class, >> you know, sometimes you you have to expose these children only like this just a normal person like your teacher and everything. So I think and then we had a pen there. So teach the children, let them experience, let them feel good. And it was good. >> Can he make a good teacher? Well, yeah, he can. Now, >> which subject maybe in mind do you think he can teach very well? >> Sports. >> Why sports? >> And all I think sports would suit him. >> You have do you have plans a project maybe a foundation you're planning to start with him? Maybe for the students, for the school, for the teachers across the country. Hey, at the moment, uh, I can't say anything about that. Now the big elephant in the room family right now we are focusing on education and how we are going to improve the education system. We can discuss about such things. >> [laughter] >> one last one >> no >> no this is this is in matters education so during the visit there someone I think it's your principal who mentioned that you have also taken care of a child you even took your or took it upon yourself hospitality and all that >> so you've done so many things that are touching people's lives and making us so emotional of course on the internet and see you as a very great teacher would want every teacher to be like you what's the driving force Well, I think I love teaching and I love children and if um if there's anything I would do with my heart I don't I think it's something that I was born with and I think some of these things the love that I give children let me just say I got it but I felt like I could have gotten it in a very good angle at a very good angle but um I don't know immediately I get a class there's that attachment that comes with it and handling children and uh as someone who has been with children for some few years. there's attachment and sometime most of the time I say there are blessings that come with children like genuine blessings and once you do it with all your heart sometimes like instantly but for me I can say it has blessings with time and sometimes you ask yourself there's that if I don't do for this child who will cuz there's no love at home there's no one to cry to at home and by the end of the day it's about you. So what do you do? And if your conscious is alive to teachers out there we know of teachers that are feel this one is not meant to teach because of how they treat kids. What message do you have for them? >> One thing I could tell teachers if you know you're a teacher and you don't have that calling and you feel like you're being forced. Just additional to that we saw a video trending of a teacher from a marginalized area was it in Truan or somewhere else sharing a Tik Tok video saying that even if you receive hardship allowances but the kind of students you teach you know they don't want to you know you have to repeat something something maybe a message to that and then maybe those teachers are using social media in a negative way. Well, you can decide, you know, like teachers are adults, right? That means this person is an adult. It's upon you to decide whether you're going to use it positively or negatively. Number two, if there is a message, I would tell that if you don't have that calling education, please don't do it. Why? Because you're holding the future to our nation. Number two, you might be there. There is that boy in your class. He might be your son-in-law. Do you want a son-in-law? That girl in your class you don't want to take care of. She might be your daughter-in-law in future. Maybe she might be maybe she's the one who or he's the one who supposed to make a difference in the education system or any other department. But then again waste you know some of us we come to realize our abilities and what we can do now it's something that could have been done there's a lot of time that has been wasted so if we don't take care of these children [laughter] it is world teachers You just come, we celebrate you. I love you so much. >> Talking about World Teachers Day, how do you want teachers to be celebrated and you specifically to celebrated among the teachers amazing among amazing teachers we have in the country? So one of the things ability try and send them even if message why not just celebrate that teacher like it takes a lot to spend all those hours and be there for children. It takes a lot. It even drains you emotionally, physically, financially at some point. at some point. So I would like even as a world teachers day exist. So 5th October it's the world teachers day and I'd like everyone to be celebrated for me. How do I want to be celebrated? Just tell me happy teachers day. [laughter] Happy day to skip daddy.
