It lives rent-free in my head. Always wanted to try it. So, that's what we're doing today. And then, the black tie event is for my friend's birthday party. So, I definitely got to show up and show out. I have this cute little gown. The lace. I'm in my lace era right now. Corsets and stuff. I don't know. They've been calling my name. So, I'm tapping into it and I cannot wait to get dressed tonight and I'm debating if I want to go get my makeup done by Reagan cuz I'm like, do I feel like doing my own makeup? Should I just get it done? I should just get it done, you know? Cuz the pictures and stuff from every angle got to be on point. As you can see, I'm in my new closet, but I don't know for how long because I got good news today. I fear I haven't updated y'all on a lot of life things lately, and I'm not going to share with y'all just yet because I want to wait till it's closer to the date when it's happening, but there's some new life updates. Pat on the back. I'm so happy for a new. That's all we finna say. I got my makeup done by Reagan. She is the best. Look how airbrushed my face look. I'm going to go take pictures before the event. That's why I got ready early. And I'm really trying to just be intentional moving forward with everything that I do because I just been really in my head about a little second because there were some family issues going on. Y'all know my mom is my manager. So, it was just some things that were going on with her. She's fine now. Um put me on a little delay because obviously she's my manager. She helps me like negotiate invoices and all the things. Health is the most important thing that I even preach on my channel. You know, taking care of yourself. Just like things had to take a pause. My blogs have been a little backed up. I feel like out of place a little bit. It's okay to take care of myself other than working. And that was one of my goals for this year anyways cuz y'all know in the beginning of the year I went to the acupuncture appointment, and she basically said like my soul was empty. Yeah, I just am putting myself [clears throat] first and prioritizing me, but at the same time, this is my job, and I love coming on my platform, and you know, just having my community there with me. And also, another thing to know, I don't know why I've been really in my head about how I want to show up online on all these platforms. Oh, it's going to rain. Why? Really going back and forth about how I want to show on these platforms. I love creating, y'all. I love creating, obviously. But, there obviously is a strategy all the time when it comes to posting on Instagram, Tik Tok, and of course, I want to always be organic, but still at the same time I don't know how to explain this. At the end of the day, this is a job, so you have to appeal to people that are going to hire you, if that makes sense. And me being a black girl, we can't just come on this platform swearing. We can't come on this platform overly loud. Can't shake ass without it being called ghetto, but let it be somebody else, they can shake their ass and they think it's funny. We just can't do that. It's just so hard. Do I want to approach social media different? And that's why you see like some creators really switch up their ways because they want to appeal to bigger brands to get bigger projects. And don't get me wrong, I love I'm very, very grateful for the projects that I get already. Some people feel like they have to clean it up to get those opportunities, and I'm at a point where I feel like I don't want to do that. Like, I don't want to not be myself and get these opportunities. And mind you, I get great opportunities. I'm just so grateful. There are other rooms that of course I would love to be in. You have to sit back and think how can you get there? But like at the same time, you just have to be yourself. Praying, God willing, you'll be entered in that room some way, somehow, some way. But, I just don't feel like I I to switch up who I am to be in that room cuz that's that would be a disservice to myself and I just wouldn't feel authentic. See what I'm saying? I don't know. It's just like there's so many thoughts, girl. It's really hard being a black girl on social media. We can't just come on here and be. We have to literally perform. At the same time, we also need to do better as a community, a black community, to make sure that we support each other. That's why I'm always when just want to make sure like everybody is supported, everybody is seen because I know how much hard work goes behind the scenes on try to create content, planning, even talking on camera still like a skill that some people have a problem with doing. Probably practice over and over to get the right clip, you know? It's just like so many things that go on. I just want better for our community. That's all. That's all. That's what really was in my head. That's really what's been in my head lately. Like I just feel like we deserve better. Those are just thoughts that are in my head. I've just really been going back and forth on how I want to be on this platform. I feel like not how I want to be, but as far as like making my sponsored content, like I love doing that, but it takes a lot of time. I I think I don't know if I remember correctly if these [music] weren't that comfortable wearing throughout the day cuz I wore them for a shoot, but I don't remember them being like irritating me. But I'm not going to lie, these yellow wedges by this brand Finesse y'all, these [music] are so comfortable. They feel like a pillow for this one. I just love like a wedge. So, I'm like, oh, perfect, whatever. So, I'll go to the international side and I'll be closer to D gate and we'll be cool. We'll be on our way to go. We get to the gate. Get to the gate, there's no flight attendants, no captain. We're still waiting on them to come back from wherever they're coming from. I think it was Denver or something. I don't know. That's besides the point. They weren't there for takeoff. 45 minutes to an hour goes by. They're still not there. All this rushing for what? This can't be real. We finally got to board. Girl, I kid you not, there was something going on with the employee. She overworked herself figure out who can cover her cuz they can't go over a certain amount of hours or something like that. I'm just like, what the Why wasn't this handled before? Cuz it was already a late flight. I don't want to be too late coming in cuz I don't want to be that tired and I want to make sure I'm able to get into my hotel. And I don't know about y'all, but the way I miss flights, I cannot book the hotel until I'm on the plane. Finally on the plane and taking off for whatever, booked the hotel. The hotel says I can't book it for that day because it's like 12:00 at this point next day. So, I had to book it for the next day. So, I'm like, "Okay, but they're not going to let me check in at 1:00 a.m. Maybe, fingers crossed. I don't know." Girl, they said, "Oh, we see your reservations here Sunday." which was technically today. They don't have no rooms to accommodate me for that night because obviously people that are staying in there from Saturday are still in the rooms. They're fully committed. So, they don't have no more room. What? I'm going to have to sleep on the street. Not really. Calling, calling, calling, calling every single hotel to see where I can stay. Girl, it's like 3:00 in the morning at this point. Found a room at the InterContinental which is where I'm at now. Girl, I was over it. At at that point at 3:00 a.m., 4:00 a.m., I was like, "I'm over it. I need to go sleep." So, I just woke up and I got ready and obviously I still have my reservation at the Equinox Hotel which I love that area, love Hudson Yards. So, I was low key wanted to stay at Fouquet's and I was trying to cancel that reservation, but nope. So, I'm just going to go back to the Equinox, stay there. It's a new day. We're going to have a good time here in New York. Yeah, right now I'm getting ready, finishing up my skin care. I'm trying to debate if I want to put some makeup on. I'll probably put a little bit on cuz you never know who you're going to see. I want to go get a matcha. That's number one on my list. Zero rhythm zero. The blueberry matcha. Try that cake. That's on my agenda. Obviously, we're going to the concert. Trying to go to Monkey Bar. This morning has been too. So, I tried to book a reservation at Monkey Bar. Monkey Bar is so hard to get into. So, I was like, "Let me just see if somebody cancel their reservation." Who knows? Girl, tell me why is two reservations open? 11:00 and a 12:00. And I was like, "Oh my god, I can do 12:00 if I get up right now." So, I'm like trying to book the reservation, da da da. It said, "Sorry, somebody booked the reservation." I'm like, "No." Everything is going wrong. And then when I'm trying to get these concert tickets, girl, tell me why the same thing happened. I was trying to get a certain seat. They said, "Oh, sorry, somebody booked it already." God, what are you trying to tell me? What are you trying to say right now? You're trying to say something. You're very loud and clear right now. So, I'm just trying to be positive. I'm trying to enjoy the day. When everything goes wrong, something's about to go right. So, I don't be tripping. I don't be tripping when stuff like this happens. They came with a ribbon sponsorship with them a long time ago and I was just hooked on these little flats that I just couldn't let them go. First scent is the Dead Cool Mineral Milk. This smells so good and fresh. Like if you need like a good everyday signature scent, highly recommend. I just recently found this. Y'all know I recently just went through my closet and my perfume. And then the Le Labo The Noir 29. At Le Labo you can customize the label to say and mine says one band, one sound. One band, one sound. Anyways, the MFK Gentle Fluidity. This has been my go-to for years. And this combination is so good. And y'all what's crazy is I wasn't even going to be here today if I got off that plane. Did I say we're sitting so for so long waiting on the flight attendant to figure out their situation or whatever. On the plane for like 45 minutes and I was this close to getting off the plane and saying, "You know what? I'm going to just go tomorrow." Girl I'm so happy I did not say that because girl they grounded all the planes today from Atlanta cuz it's thunderstorming and I don't even like flying when it's thunder thunderstorming and raining and stuff. So thank God I did not get on. I swear having patience has really, you know, worked out in its favor for me because I feel like I'm learning patience. And sometimes when I feel like I don't feel like waiting for stuff or I feel like I become impatient or trying to hurry up and get out of a situation, I'm like, wait, let's just wait a little bit longer. Let's just wait a little bit longer. And it always works out. I'm a lucky girl. It always works out for me. But yeah, I'm walking there now. And I'll talk to y'all once I get there. And then, of course, I have to have veggies on the side, so I ordered a Caesar salad with trout. I would skip over this or ask for it without the trout because it was a little too fishy for me. The crab cakes tasted like a delicious crab cake you probably tried before. Um nothing special is about it, but it was just a very well-done crab cake. And these crab rangoons, I'm not really a crab rangoon type of girl, but obviously I was here, so I was like, "Okay, let's just [music] try it." Mustard that they had on the side was very good. I actually used that for other dishes, but overall I would skip over the crab rangoon. It just wasn't my favorite. But let's get into the second and star of the show, the Wagyu steak along with the Wagyu burger. Girl, if I could have this every day as a protein, I would. [music] This steak was so delicious, so flavorful, so juicy. Uh like I just love Wagyu. I eat meat in moderation, so this would definitely be the meal I would use as an excuse to [music] eat meat. I did feel defeated. I was out here for the concert and to not be able to get in the concert was kind of a bummer. You know, I'm really trying to look at everything in a positive aspect. I wanted to try a restaurant that was on the top of my wish list, which was Monkey Bar, and I never thought a meal could bring me so much joy [music] that I wanted to cry. I got to walk around the city, get some steps in, found some fire sunglasses. Jay-Z is also having some more shows overseas, and y'all know I love me a good London and Paris trip. So, maybe it just wasn't meant for me to see here. It just wasn't. I had to get my fix somewhere else. Sometimes everything just doesn't work out, and that's okay, no matter how much time and money you spend on it. I'm about to get ready to go cuz New York, you got me. Goodbye, New York City. I have to sit down and tell y'all about it, but I need to make my way to the airport cuz I woke up so late cuz I got in so late last night because of that situation happening.
