So, not too long ago, a friend of mine
has some hobbies and they asked if I
could do a custom
uh donut for them and I said, "I love a
challenge." So, I did some research. I
found out how to make a hollow form and
I taught myself how to make a donut
shape on the wheel because I love
working on the wheel. It's a favorite
way to clay and this is how my donut
attempt turned out. So, after I let it
dry, I decided I needed to trim the
bottom side to be more donuty cuz, you
know, um
this little
foot on the donut so far is not very
cute. So,
I trimmed away any excess and um now my
donut looks like a donut on the top and
the bottom.
Super cute. I now want to try to throw a
bracelet cuz I don't know why, but
that's my donut. And my camera glitched
when I was doing the toppings on this
donut. So, my apologies, but I will be
doing another one cuz I think they are
super cute. Um so, after I
um
underglazed
my icing pink,
I decided I needed to make the body of
my donut, the body, the donuty part. You
know what I mean. I needed to make it
look more donuty. So, I mixed up a
custom color so that it looked like it
was going to be golden brown. And then I
got these little handy dandy
um pigment holder ring things. I think
they're for tattoo artists. I don't
know, but they're on Amazon. And then I
painted on my little sprinkles. Oh, so
cute. I think I'm going to make the
sprinkles in one shade in advance.
Nope. You know what I mean. I'm going to
make them in advance and paint them and
then just apply them while the slip is
wet. Anyways,
um then I outlined it in black cuz I
wanted it to be very pop arty and fired
it for its bisque firing. Mommy, mommy,
mommy, mommy, mom and apple truth. The
black
the black ran, but love how everything
else turned out. Super cute. So, now
it's time to glaze. I probably won't
line it in black next time. At least not
the little icing bit. Um but now it's
time to do the glaze. So, I'm using a
very tiny brush to get my pink glaze
where my um
sprinkles aren't and it didn't take too
long, but I did get some on top of my
sprinkles. So, now I'm just
dusting them off a bit. Not dusting. You
know what I mean.
And now I need to glaze the inside so
that it's a functional uh donut.
And so, I liquided Nope.
I added water to my glaze just a little
bit so that it would flow a little bit
and so, I put it in um
the little donut hole and shook it
around and then it was time for the next
firing. Didn't it turn out so cute? I
love it. I love it so much. Now, I want
to do like a whole series of donuts.
Maybe not for this extracurricular
activity, but um just for maybe
decoration or if someone's interested in
a custom extracurricular donut,
