What to Expect for the FNAF 12th Anniversary...

So, the FNAF 12th anniversary is coming up on August 8th, and today I want to go over the news that you should expect for this year's anniversary, as well as various FNAF projects that I'd say definitely deserve some news that hopefully we can get pretty soon. So, if you're excited for FNAF's 12th anniversary, scroll down, subscribe. We're going to be streaming all day on August 8th to celebrate. So, subscribe because you do not want to miss out on any news that we get for the anniversary. Now, I want to make it very clear that obviously I do not expect to get news on everything that I talk about today. I'll let you know what I think realistically we're going to get for the anniversary when I talk about the topic. This video is mainly just talking about all of the major projects that FNAF has coming up, when I think we're going to get some news on them, what kind of news that should be. But I do feel very confident in saying we are going to get some artwork and messages. Every year we have gotten stuff from Scott, from Steel Wolf celebrating the anniversary. Last year, there was a message from Scott. It didn't have any big reveals in it, which I think is why a lot of people aren't super looking forward to this year's anniversary, especially because news has been pretty slow for FNAF in 2026. And it kind of feels like a lot of FNAF fans are expecting the anniversary to continue that kind of drought. However, on the flip side of that argument, maybe news has been so slow because Scott, FNAF, Steel are cooking up something big. And hopefully we can get the payoff for that for the anniversary. Break the drought, really give FNAF fans something big to chew on. And that is why my number one hope for this anniversary is an update on the next major mainline FNAF game. FNAF fans are so starved for updates on the next mainline game that we're looking at each and every single pixel from every Steel Wall post trying to make connections to FNAF. Listen, I'm guilty of that as well, but I think it goes to show just how badly we need news on this game. FNAF really is a game's first franchise, and the fact that we know so little about the next mainline game is really baffling. For 2 years now, we've known that Steel Wall is working on another game past Secret of the Mimic, a game that is now over a year old. And there is another game planned with Steel Wool, but that's not going to be announced for a while yet. So, I I can't talk about that. But there is something down the pike. Even beyond what's being announced this week, there's something beyond. But I'm not but I can't talk about that. >> I do think it's very likely that we're getting a new game from Steeler instead of DLC or updates to Help One and 2 or Secret of the Mimic. Although, speaking of those games, I would love an update pretty soon on the VR version of Mimic. Not only patches for PC and PlayStation, but also an update on the Quest version that is still yet to be released. for help wanted two. We're still waiting on the elusive DJ Sturf update that's going to add him to the credits. And while we're at it, maybe Curse of Dreadbear on Xbox would be nice, but I do think the most important news that we need for FNAF right now is the next game, the official announcement of what it is, it doesn't even have to be anything crazy like a trailer. You could easily do what they did for Secret of the Mimic, a very quick, simple cinematic cutscene and then the title at the end with like maybe a release year. I would hope if they're working on the game for 2 years, they have an idea of when it's releasing. certainly hope they have enough assets that they could throw together something for a reveal. I'm going to have a full separate video very soon going over my most wanted FNAF games and what I do think Steel Wall is working on next. And sticking with games, I would also love to see an update on Click Team. Five Laps at Freddy's was supposed to release last year and silently got delayed to this year. We are now 8 months into 2026 with no major updates on the game. The demo is now 2 years old with a promise of an updated demo that never got released. There has not been news for Five Laps at Freddy's in a very long time. And with each day that goes by with no update, it is getting harder and harder to believe that this game's going to release this year. There is also the big elephant in the room that I never made a video about, which was the apparent cancellation of Five Laps at Freddy's that either turned out to be a big miscommunication or just like the egg collection for Flumpties. And while these situations are pretty different would be another FNAF Click Team project that is just tossed aside and never really addressed. I never made a video talking about the cancellation of Five Laps because I was like, "Oh my god, surely Scott and Click Team are going to see that fans are freaking out thinking the game's canceled and they're going to make some clarifying statement and they never did." And on the topic of Click Team, a little while back we got some screenshots of apparently a canceled FNAF Click Team game. I do think I'll do a video going further in depth on what I think this game was going to be. But overall, the communication with Click Team certainly has a lot to be desired. At the very least, sometime soon, I would love some clarification on FiveLaps, whether or not it's still being worked on or if it has been silently cancelled because we simply just do not know what's going on with that game. And it's really frustrating. So, while I don't think we're going to get anything from Click Team on the anniversary, again, maybe a statement and some artwork, it would be very awkward to release that and then not address the elephant in the room. I hope we get an update from them soon about what's going on. I did see a few people theorizing about Meggaat. I don't think we're going to get anything from them this year. We know from Into the Pit that they take a long time making games. And I honestly really feel like we should get info on the next mainline game before we get info on the next spin-off game, right, with Fetch, right? That's the theorized game that FNAF fans think Megaat's going to be working on next. Scott mentioned it in the interview with Do. There was a lot of Fetch teasing going on in Into the Pit. And then speaking of Scott, actually, it would be really nice if we got an answer to the sequel that's in development. If you recall earlier this year, Scott Cawin teased that a FNAF sequel is in the works. Well, honestly, he didn't even say FNAF sequel. It could be anything. Doofus 2. Huh. One can only hope. I'm fully expecting this sequel to be like Security Breach 2 or Ruin 2 or something like that. Like, not directly from Scott himself, more so talking about a general FNAF project. So, maybe we could get a two for one. Maybe we could get the steel announcement, which turns out to be the sequel that Scott was talking about. Who knows? And then lastly for games, we have the Fanverse titles, which honestly we do get quite a bit of updates on regularly. You know, Kane is super frequent with the Pop Goes updates and news. I'm sure there's going to be some like artwork released as well for the anniversary. The Joy of Creation, which seemingly is going to be set for later this year, though, I feel like it may come out early next year. We'll just have to wait and see, but we've been getting constant monthly, you know, big new gameplay teasers for a TJ, which is super cool to see. I don't think we're going to get anything for the anniversary specifically for the joy of creation. Same thing with candies 4. You know, number one, that would require us to get any updates on FNAC 4. Kind of feels like candy news just kind of drops out of nowhere. So, it doesn't seem like something that's going to be planned to have a big announcement for the anniversary. Nonetheless, I do still hope we get an update soon because it has been a long long time since we last had an update on Candies 4. Like maybe we can get Fak Fur news, not even for the anniversary, but just like in general hopefully soon. I'm hoping that'll release and then have some big teases for FNAF 4, but honestly, news for Candies 4 has been even drier than FNAF news. So, as much as I would love something, I I really don't feel like we're getting anything soon. So, that's all the game stuff. And I think that is really what the anniversary should focus on or at least big news soon should focus on the next big game. So, hopefully something from Stewall for the anniversary. And then in general, I would love an update soon from Click Team. And then the next big project that I want to talk about is the FNAF 3 movie, which recently we got the writer for, Gary Doberman. He's written the movies for Annabelle. He's written the movies for It. I want to say that's like the biggest news we've gotten this year for FNAF so far is that we have a writer now for the third film. But it's so weird because there hasn't really been like an official announcement. We've known for the longest time, like ever since FNAF 2 released months and months ago in December, we were getting constant updates from Matthew Lillard, Ski Olrich, that they're writing FNAF 3. They're in the movie a lot more. We heard that like the Phantoms are in it, that Charlotte's going to have a bigger role. I've done a whole bunch of FNAF 3 movie news videos in the past. And then, like I said, just recently, we got the official writer for the movie. But despite all of this, there hasn't really been like an official announcement. Like the official announcement that we're getting FNAF 3 was the announcement of Gary writing the movie, which like I guess you can classify as an official announcement, but to me it just feels weird that there hasn't been like a Five Nights at Freddy's 3 in theaters, you know, whatever. They've been writing the script for like a couple months now, so maybe they're not trying to put like a solid release date on it just yet. But at this point now, like they've been at it for a while, so I don't know if it's like going through some trouble or if they're just like really trying to take their time with it. But it would be really nice to get like official confirmation, like a straightup official announcement, maybe with a the official logo would be really cool. Five Nights at Freddy's 3 in theaters. You don't even need a date. Just say like the general year or like time frame with the logo. I think that'd be perfect. You know, they're only in pre-production. They haven't started filming yet. So, there's not going to be like any poster or trailer or teaser or anything like that. Actually, for both anniversaries leading up to the movies, FNAF 1 and FNAF 2, we were getting behind the scenes of the construction of the costumes. FNAF 1 had Freddy and then FNAF 2, obviously the big 10th anniversary had like daily construction of the characters, which was awesome. Maybe we could get construction on like the updated Springtrap suit. I know that would drum up a lot of excitement because you guys got to keep in mind the Springtrap suit at the ending of FNAF 2 was only made for that postredit scene. Scott confirmed they're making an updated hopefully more accurate spring trap suit for the full movie. So, it would be nice to get a bit more info on FNAF 3 pretty soon. Official logo and then release window I think would make for a perfect like official announcement post. Returning cast and crew, we know that Matthew and Sk are coming back. Seems like they're pretty much the only confirmed people. Like, we can imply that Josh, uh, you know, Piper, Elizabeth, they're coming back as well. We're pretty confident that Emma's coming back as director and Scott's coming back as a producer, but again, would be nice to get like official confirmation on cast and crew. If there is no info on the movie around the anniversary, I think the next time we should expect some news is in October. That is going to be New York Comic-Con, which historically FNAF has appeared at. That is the convention where the voice actors and a new poster for FNAF 2 were revealed. FNAF 2 had some pretty major appearances at filming conventions that of course drummed up a lot of hype from fans and press. So, I think they're likely going to want to try to replicate that with FNAF 3 and announce some big news at a convention. So, hopefully some official proper announcements for FNAF 3 pretty soon. If not the anniversary, I'd say keep your eyes out for October. Now, next up, I don't think is going to be announced for the anniversary. I'm really not expecting it. It's just something that personally I would like to see sometime pretty soon. And that is a new book series. One of the reasons why droughts for FNAF didn't really feel like droughts was because we always had some books to turn to. Whether that was the novel trilogy, Fazbear Frights, Tales from the Pizzalex, the interactive novels, which was very short-lived, unfortunately, there was always a book series that could kind of fill in the gaps. And while there are a few books coming up, we got two more graphic novels for Tales. We got the Character Encyclopedia 2, as well as what I'm most excited for, the art and making of the FNAF movies. It does kind of feel like we're lacking a solid consistent series of books like Tales or like Frights. I'm not sure if maybe reception to interactive novels wasn't received well and so they're taking a break from books. Maybe they think the market is like too oversaturated with FNAF books because they have released a lot over the past couple years. Personally, I would love to see another like trilogy of books focusing on one major story like what we saw with Charlie John and the Silverized trilogy. I honestly I I don't want a continuation of that story. I think that's case closed. I would love just a brand new original trilogy of books. Brand new characters, you know, still set in the Freddy's universe. I think that would be really really fun. I'm kind of sick and tired of not that I really read them, but I I feel like a lot of FNAF fans want a break from the anthology series. And again, I really liked the ideas for the interactive novels. Unfortunately, I don't think they were received all too well, but I do think another like banger trilogy of novels would be super cool to see eventually. Talking about merchandise, FNAF is always releasing merchandise like 24/7. Specifically for the anniversary, I'm sure we're going to get like a teaser from YouTubs. I feel like they've done that in the past where like a major FNAF thing has happened, like a game release or a trailer or an anniversary where they've released a teaser. They do have a FNAF 6 figure line coming up as well as reworks of the FNAF 1 crew. And then I also feel like Hex is probably going to have some artwork, maybe a sale if we're lucky. I feel like Daco might have mentioned that. Sorry DO, if I made something up. And then the final thing that I want to talk about, I don't think we're going to get it for the anniversary, but again, would be super cool to see sometime soon. Brand new cosmetics for Dead by Daylight FNAF. I actually did see a lot of FNAF fans talk about this when I asked, "What do you want to see for the anniversary?" It would be super cool if we got brand new cosmetics for Springtrap. Obviously, it doesn't really fit with the lore, but I feel like a Vany costume would be super cool. Burn Trap would be super cool to see as well. I don't think we're going to get like a chapter 2 announced. The dev team did mention that they didn't forget about Foxy and then seemingly that didn't go anywhere. So maybe we can get an answer to that soon. But honestly, the one thing I want out of Dead by Daylight FNAF right now is my blighted Springtrap skin back. They took it away from me and I don't have it back just yet. And so to close out today's video while we're on the topic of gaming collabs, that's right, I'm going to talk about it. The next season of Fortnite is based on gaming legends. Apparently they're adding Sonic the Hedgehog, Sora, Pac-Man. They invited Pac-Man. Maybe, just maybe, it's Freddy's time. I highly doubt it, but seeing as Fortnite's next season is based on gaming icons, I wanted to pose the question, do you think we're finally going to get Freddy in Fortnite? If you recall, for the 10th anniversary where they had the collab announcement, the entire day, people were thinking it's going to be Fortnite, baby. Who knows? Maybe Scott saw the reaction that day and thought, "Huh, this Fortnite thing. Oh, they got Poppy. They got Alien. I want some of that Fortnite cake." But that is all of the major FNAF projects that I hope we get news on pretty soon. Mostly the games, books, and movies. Realistically, for the anniversary, I hope we get something from Steelwool. I'd love something from Click Team. I do think we're going to get some standard messages and artwork from people and companies that work on FNAF to celebrate.
