Video summary

Canada's Wonderland is currently in a transitional phase as it prepares for its 20th anniversary Halloween event, though the lack of major new attractions has left some enthusiasts disappointed compared to other parks in the chain. While the park is officially shifting into its haunted mode with no significant construction updates on the main grounds, there are subtle signs of future developments, particularly in the water park area where preparations for a potential 2027 expansion are underway. The narrator notes that while major roller coaster projects often begin with restaurant upgrades and area prep before the ride opens, the current focus is on enhancing existing infrastructure rather than introducing new thrill rides immediately. Significant work is visible around the Pizza building, where new woodwork is being installed to improve its aesthetic appeal and integrate it better into the park's landscape. Behind this area, construction trailers and fencing suggest that permanent refrigeration units are being installed for storage, possibly related to World Expo or other future projects. Additionally, the water park remains closed following storm damage but shows promising signs of renovation, including work on the kids' splash pad and potential enhancements to older slides like Whirlwinds, which occupy prime real estate and could be upgraded to improve guest flow and experience. The Halloween setup is already well underway, with extensive lighting installations transforming various parts of the park into a festive atmosphere for Winterfest and Haunted Wonderland. A major highlight for this season is the return of The Conjuring show, which has been enhanced with a new photo booth and improved bar areas like Mullins Bar to boost the overall experience. Furthermore, Oktoberfest has officially begun, offering some of the best food in the park, including beloved potato salad, while scavenger hunt clues are hidden throughout the grounds for fans to discover during the event. Despite the absence of groundbreaking new rides, the park is actively engaging visitors with seasonal decorations, improved theming, and behind-the-scenes preparations that hint at future growth. The team has gone above and beyond in lighting up previously dark areas and setting up elaborate displays early to ensure a high-quality experience for guests. As the park moves forward into its autumn season, the focus remains on refining existing attractions and creating a magical atmosphere, even if the immediate news is less exciting than anticipated for those hoping for a major new coaster debut.

Okay, so it is Canada's Wonderland's 20th anniversary for Halloween Han. And obviously there's nothing new, which is kind of a little disappointing. I'm not going to lie. Uh to start off today's construction update. Uh yeah, nothing new on here to report. Conjuring's back, but it's uh it's weird that one of the biggest parks in the chain with the most attendance doesn't get anything new while all these other parks did. So that was a little weird, especially if they're celebrating the 20th anniversary. So that's my that's my I guess one complaint right now. But yeah, we'll go over to the construction area over there and see if there's anything new to see. So the park is in that transition phase right now where they are transitioning into Halloween haunt. So there I don't think there's going to be too much construction. Now if you're a Patreon, you know about all the other side projects going on. There is something in the water park. There's something over in behind pizza which I'll show you guys. uh they're starting to prep almost for this area. And if you remember Grace Peacock during Alpen Fury um and Yupon Striker, they talk about how they'll start to prep an area before a major roller coaster. So you'll start to see restaurants opening up, um upgrades to the area, and then you'll see a roller coaster. So, it's quite convenient um that that was said and then now we have all the upgrades going on in World Expo and um a roller coaster project that's popped up over here. Now, I can already confirm from the drone there's nothing for you guys to see here other than a new pile of dirt in Time Warps Plan, which we're not going to be able to show you because Halloween haunt construction. Um, the carousel is currently closed, but I'm trying to see if we can see anything at all. There's not going to be anything. My drone can see everything, but low key, this park isn't one for teasing or being playful. So, I don't think any of these tombstones are going to be of importance. Oh, well, I take that back. >> Look at that tombstone here. I was just saying that Wonderland's not playful. So, these tombstones could potentially be alluding to anything, any sort of So, we'll film them all just in case. Now, if you guys notice anything, I'm nothing over here. Celestria Crimson Into Eternal Darkness. That is so funny, guys. You just watched me eat my words live while recording. Um, sorry I'm like zoomed in there all the way, which is so annoying for you guys. Oh, cool. Looks like they're going to have more of those um lantern effects throughout the park right there. That looks like it's going to be a lantern effect. Oh, Henry. Some of these are old, so it's not like there's going to be drowned in the void. And then yeah, everything else is same old same old. Nothing super exciting. I didn't even know that was supposed to Yeah. Nothing really new to report. Um they have been setting up the Christmas lights in this area as well. That's what that um machine there is for. I saw that on the drone. So all these little Christmas lights you see here, they were doing that yesterday and today. So again, nothing super super exciting, but I'll go show you the project going on by King, not Kingswood. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, here's a little They got rid of all the uh gardens. So, if there was a steak in there, you'd see it now. Perfect. But yeah, those little uh sunb belt rentals, they were just to install these Christmas lights you see on all the trees. Yes. Now, if you're a Patreon, you already know, but uh basically over the last week that they've been closed, there's some more hop prep. They've been doing a lot of work in this specific area. So, pizza pizza, if you remember, I I said it was kind of ugly, which it was. And the woodwork that they're adding over here is definitely making the building look a lot nicer. Like, this looks a lot cleaner. I like this look a lot better. Definitely fits in. Now, if they really want it to look awesome, add the windmill back on top Wonderland. But I'll show you. This is going to be a little invasive. I hope there's no one back there. There's a construction trailer right over there. And that could be for World Expo. But before we jump to conclusions, it also so if you look, it looks like they're going to actually make these fences even taller because they're building um permanent refrigeration like a refrigerator back here for storage. I assume I assume that's what that's for. Um but yeah, that's all that is. Nothing too too exciting. just more work going on at Canada's Wonderland to prep this area for its uh future enjoyment. So, that's exciting. All right. Next, you'll see us over in um the water park area cuz I have something to talk to you guys about over there. So, Winder is I don't know why I said it like that. Is still closed. Poor girl. She got hit by lightning during that storm. Give her some time and she'll be back up and operating like new. So, if you are on Patreon, I'm not going to say too much. um then you already know. But that slide there and the the whirlwinds, the white slide over there, keep an eye on that over the offse because there's definitely some signs going on uh that point to some water park expansion or enhancements at minima for the 2027 season. There's even a lot of work going on in the little kids splash pad area. So, this park is so overdue for a water park um enhancement. So, let's hope. Let's hope. I know that none of us enthusiasts really enjoy those water park, especially someone like me. You know, I'm not showing myself in splash works anytime soon, but >> I like it. >> A park like that, he likes it. A park like this um is in desperate need of I love how they do this for haunt turn this into a little bar area. But I'll show you whirlwinds. Now again, these are Patreon exclusive updates right now until the park makes an announcement. That's the agreement we have with the park. If we see something in person, which actually, to be honest, I might be able to show you guys. I didn't realize I could see the grass. If the camera can pick it up. Yeah, I don't think it's going to be able to If you guys could see anything in the grass, let me know. on Patreon. There is stuff that you can see from above, but yeah, unfortunately, I'll try everything just Yeah. So, between those two slides, there's a ton of markings essentially, but again, we don't know exactly what it could be for. It could just be enhancements, but that's one of the oldest slides in the park, and it could be better. And that could be better, too. and takes up prime real estate. Um, however, it is really good as a multi-functioning getting people through. However, the the picking up the um the mats and then walking all the way to the back and going up, not so great. So, I could totally see Wonderland wanting to do something in that area for next year. And we know that we're so overdue for a water park edition. All right, carrying on to more haunt prep. Um, controversial opinion, but Oktoberfest food is some of the best food in the park. Really? >> Yeah. It's so good. I love the potato salad. I'm so Irish for this, but I love the potato salad. Over here, we have haunt storage. These have all been coming out of behind um you call it action theater. Oh, >> I saw them removing these from uh earlier today. That's definitely for uh Cornstalkers. Yeah, this comp prep, nothing super super exciting. Um and then we have Trickor Treat Street during the day walkthrough. How exciting. >> Those are the bones of people who record on rides. Without metal glasses, I should add without metal glasses. >> Those are your bones. >> Those are my bones. Um, >> yeah, you are a bag of bones. >> Period. So, yeah, definitely still getting set up. Lots of work to do still, obviously. Oh, you know what? I wonder if we can walk back to Whitewater Canyon. Here's a hint for the scavenger hunt. I'm not going to zoom in on it, but just remember this area. If you're at the event tomorrow and you're a true fan, remember that area right there for the scavenger hunt. That was one of the hardest ones, too, by the way. area. Oh, look. They got some new toys and stuff. I'm recognizing these from some of the Six Sag parks in Texas that we went to. >> Oh, no. We can't go back there. Oh, they got a whole like little stage thing this year. That's cool. So, that's different. All right. Now, we'll go over to the conjuring, show you that area, and then we're going to eat. Yum. >> The team has been hard at work getting ready for uh Winterfest already. That's crazy. >> No, they take them. I learned that, you know, I did I used to think the same thing that they did. >> They keep Yeah. in the front gate area. They keep them up, but weather would destroy these things over the the long periods of time. So, they remove them. It's a third party company, and they come in and they install them every year. And they're really ahead of their uh game this year. This is crazy. They're everywhere. Like even in there. Wow. Even way back there. So, they're really lighting up the park. They don't ever usually light up back there. And they got them on here. Oh, wow. One of the best things to happen to The Conjuring. Oh, by the way, there's going to be a photo booth this year. So, that's new. One of the best things to happen to how in Haunted Kennedy Wonderland was The Conjuring. Um, so, uh, it starts tomorrow, by the way, or today, whenever you're watching this video, September 12th, uh, The Conjuring starts. You can book your tickets online. >> So, that'll be open tomorrow. And then of course comes >> the Mullins bar, >> which is really good. And then here is where you q-ine. Oh, I low key, guys. I This is a funny building. I've been watching them build this building for um Oh, there they are back there probably doing rehearsals. But yeah, one of the best uh things. And then this year Oh, maybe we should just eat this food. Okay. And October Fest has started. I thought it started tomorrow, but nope, it started. This is some of the best food in the park. Definitely got to come check it out. >> What do they got? >> Got new signs for Han. They got
