Sanji is a conqueror. This is one of the
final crumbs leading to Sanji unlocking
conqueror's haki. I think we all know
that Oda has been silently has been
little by little hinting away. I think
it was clear when we saw when he we saw
him reading that book and it was
Sanji was reading a cooking book but it
we knew that it wasn't just a typo. We
knew that it was coming and that that
conversation with Scopper Gaban. You
know what I really like though? Is that
I really like this aspect that Oda
really keeps coming back to that
whatever it is that is keeping Sanji
held back. You know, he's been
handicapped. He's been almost nerfed
throughout the entire series because of
who he is internally and because of that
internal conflict that we have been
exploring basically ever since the Whole
Cake Island Arc. And I love that Oda is
still really still exploring that idea.
You know, we saw it in the Whole Cake
Island Arc. We saw it even at Wano and
with his power up at Wano you might
think that okay, yeah, Sanji has almost
reckoned that internal conflict within
himself but it's a very consistent
theme. We saw it more explicitly and how
it's linked to his family with because
of the Whole Cake Island Arc. But if you
think about it that that's been
something that has been within Sanji
from the very beginning. Sanji has
always had this internal conflict from
the beginning of the Baratie Arc. You
know, he has all of these self-imposed
restrictions. He has a lot of this
internalized guilt. You know, he has
things like you know, things that were
mentioned again, things that are so core
to his character, things that we know
like the fact that he would never hit a
woman, um the fact that he will only
fight with his legs, the fact that he
wouldn't leave he wouldn't leave Baratie
because he felt that he owed this he had
this debt of gratitude, this insane
feeling of burden, of guilt, and
and his the feeling of owing, of being
in
in debt. He's had this within himself
all of this time, and he's always had
the qualities of being a king. He's
always had the qualities of being a
king. You know, he was a prince. He's
actually royalty. If anything, the the
fact that he has the qualities of being
a king was is more clear inside you
because of, you know, who he is, because
of his lineage, because of his family,
and just because of all of this all of
this inner conflict, all of the
self-doubt, the way that he grew up, the
way that his family treated him. And you
think about it as well, like if the only
king that he would have known growing up
would have been his own father, a man
that he doesn't respect, a man that he
detests, a man that, you know, whom he
felt scorn from. And so, I actually
think that this idea of trying to become
a king is something very hard for him to
reconcile with because at his very core,
he probably rejects being a king because
the image that he has of a king is his
father, and he wants to reject that. We
know that he wants to reject his family.
During his developmental years, the core
developmental years, he spent with his
family, you know, probably founded like
a very warped understanding of what a
king represents. And so, now for him to
actually
to rid away all of this self-doubt, rid
away all of these misconceptions, rid
away, you know, the this inner conflict,
he's he's going to have to resolve this
uncertainty. And again, it's love it's
beautiful that it all comes down to his
desire to make Luffy the pirate king.
What does that look like, you know, we
don't know yet. What does it What does
it look like that he's going to have to
resolve this? How How does he resolve
this? Because we saw it We saw it happen
in Wano as well. Did he actually hit a
woman? Now, I don't think that we're
going to have to worry about that again
because his We We see that Sanji has
very shrewdly He's very shrewdly
recognized that I don't have to hit
Sasa. I don't have to fight Sasa. I
don't have to hit a woman because he
He's noticed that you know killing him
killing him is the answer. Killing him
is the one to is the one to target here.
But, you know, what does that look like
in that case? Is it finally actually
accepting Germa's powers? Is it going to
be the case of yes, you know what?
Germa is a part of me that I detest. Um
the Germa blood is something that I
detest that I do not like, but maybe he
has to just accept that lineage. Maybe
he has to come to terms with it. You
know, is that what it's going to be?
What we do know for sure is that Sanji
has the potential for Conqueror's Haki.
All he has to do is resolve that inner
conflict. He's and then he's going to
unlock Conqueror's Haki. Coming clutch
to save the kids of Elbaf. Just like he
has come in clutch at some of the other
major character moments and some of them
other most major defining moments within
an arc. And then Zoro hyping Sanji up as
well saying that my man's killing
killing kill your man.

The agenda fools. Don't let it confuse

get divided between Zoro and Sanji, but
it is clear Oda is not and Zoro and

When it comes to actually having each
other's backs, um that's been very clear
from, you know, even earlier on in the
series. Again, we saw it superbly
superbly at Wano. Look at it here now in
Elbaf and Zoro glazing up hyping up his
man, hyping up his his best man, his
best brother, his
to a holy night. It is really making me
nostalgic about all the other times
that, you know, they've um had each
other's backs. You know, like when the
um the Marines, the G5, they were
concerned about leaving Tashigi behind
with Zoro and then Sanji just laughed it
off reassuring them that Zoro's going to
get the job done and that Zoro's
actually a big softy who's not actually
going to let anything happen to Tashigi.
And Zoro and Zoro when Sanji left and
yeah, he might have also had that sort
of again that competitive streak where
he says if Sanji is, you know, worth a
thousand men then I'm worth a million
men like all of that but they have
complete trust in each other. They have
complete faith in each other. And you
guys know if you've been here a while,
you guys will know that the Straw Hats
are my favorite. So to me this just it's
just brothers fighting. It's brothers
squabbling. It's brothers, you know,
brothers getting into each other's faces
but when it comes to defending each
other, when it comes to outsiders, when
it comes to people outside of the
family, they will have each other's back
until the very end. Agenda piece can get
out of here.

This chapter was actually so good. So
freaking good. How smart as well with

smart. Here we have Reiju saving an ugly
duckling an ugly duckling Sanji the ugly
duckling. Oh my goodness this the layers
the layers behind this the layers behind
this.
You know, we see Sanji here as as the
ugly duckling that needs saving from the
Vinsmoke family from the Germans and we
know that that has been the case for
Sanji all of his life. We know that that
was his life all the time. You know,
when he was young it was Sora and then
it was Reiju. Reiju was the only one
that Sanji had his one true savior. You
know, the one who freed Sanji as well
for it was Sanji that saves people left
and right that comes to the Straw Hats
rescue in clutch moments time and time
again it was Reiju that saved Sanji and
it it wasn't for Reiju then it then
Sanji wouldn't have happened and then
all the you know, all the Straw Hat
moments would not have happened.
And you know, it goes back it goes back
to why Sanji has all of these
self-imposed restrictions why he says
I'm never going to hit a woman because
you know, Sora and Reiju were the only
goodness were the only good people were
the only kind people that he met in his
life in his formative years in that key
formative developmental years
Reiju and Sora were all he had. I also
think you know, like I think this even
might be Oda just suddenly jabbing just
suddenly jabbing at the at the fans who
I'm sure surely they don't exist. Surely
they cannot deny after this chapter that
Sanji is going to get Conqueror's Haki.
Like that is pretty much confirmed like
I feel like it is so confirmed that I
can even cross it off my bingo card. I
feel like I can even cross it off my I
won't I won't yet. I won't yet just in
case Oda takes a bit of time with it
just in case we see Sanji go through a
bit of turmoil, just in case we see
Sanji, you know, continue to get beat up
by killing him because he's struggling
he's struggling to resolve that inner
conflict within himself and it might get
pushed back to 2027. I really don't
think that is the case, but you cannot
deny after this chapter that Sanji isn't
going to get Conqueror's Haki.
