Good afternoon everyone. I am A.
Varshith studying in 7th class Thirumala
school Bhimavaram.
I am very happy and honored to be
recognized as an NPTEL Believer Star.
And I am very sincerely thanks to the
NPTEL team for this wonderful
recognition.
By far I have completed seven courses.
>> [snorts]
>> My favorite one is Forest and Ma-
and and its Management by Akrun sir. The
way he taught was very interesting,
inspiring and very easy to understand.
The knowledge I gained gained from these
courses helped me in my school studies.
Helped [clears throat] me in my
school studies. This time I am happy
because both my parents and I are
selected as NPTEL Believer Stars. My
father has completed 66 courses and
received 26 stars. And my mother has
completed 12 courses and received three
stars.
And once again I thanks since- sincerely
to everyone who helped me in this
learning journey. Thank you all.

How do you select these courses?
Whether your parents tell you to take
these type of courses or you have your
own self interest of doing certain type
of courses? And how do you manage your
time of doing these courses because you
have regular school time also. So how do
you learn and how do your parents
support
towards it?
>> I have selected these courses because
they are in my lessons, sir.
>> Okay. So some lessons some of the
courses having the some of the topics in
I mean
different subjects. So that's why you
are selecting that courses. Okay. So you
don't feel any pressure of doing
school and these courses. Do you enjoy
doing this?
>> Yes.
>> Okay.
>> So, a question for you.
>> Just one or two more.
>> So, how do you motivate your kid then?
So, since not all parents are going to
tell the kid because NPTEL is not for
school students. This is only for
college and
other organization purposes. So, how do
you How What started you to motivate him
to do this courses?
>> Uh actually, I'm the SPOC of the NPTEL
local chapter. That's why I know I I am
attending so many um
meetings and NPTEL
star workshops. So, in that time
I feel that my my kid is also having
some of the knowledge. So, that's why I
am
just I I I am I not insisted his, but
just I
I I told that there is some courses is
there. So, that is the good for your
career and
for our mo- for our
for the subjects. So, I told that my my
kid after that he decided to write ready
to write the exams.
>> How do you feel, sir? So, all three are
coming here and getting the chance.
>> Uh
last two times I attending with my wife,
sir. So, this time I I'm coming with my
kid. So, maybe next time I will
I will come with my daughter also.
It's very good good opportunity and I
really very thankful to the NPTEL.

I'm a senior assistant professor at
JNTUH University College of Engineering,
Hyderabad.
So, I came to here like because I
received NPTEL
domain star certification in the
data science specialization. So, earlier
like last year also I visited as a
discipline star. So, almost have
completed two 12 courses.
And out of which like
recently have done in this January 2026.
So, fundamentals of deep learning and
artificial intelligence for management
in which I stood top, almost the top 2%.
So, really this NPTEL is creating like a
learning pathway for the both faculties
and the students and the researchers.
So, really it's a great experience. So,
being a electrical engineering faculty,
I learned a lot of things from the NPTEL
especially related to the emerging
technologies. And now I can confidently
say that like
I can able to teach a lot of emerging
tech courses to my students. And
now like I'm able to guide the student
projects and M.Tech students and the
researchers. And really it's a great a
great pleasure to have this kind of
networking at IIT Madras. And really
they are doing wonderful. And even like
I have seen some school children. So,
they became like NPTEL believers. They
have done some courses. So, I do
encourage my
kids and I do encourage my students
because I've seen some statistics from
Telangana state. So, faculty are more
like student participate participation
is less in the NPTEL. So, being a domain
star and discipline star like I used to
encourage my students to take more
courses because you know like there are
a lot of courses introduced by the
engineering colleges but there is no
sufficient faculty. There is no
expertise in lot of autonomous and
affiliated colleges. So, definitely will
suggest the students to take part of
this NPTEL courses so that without
teachers also they can learn
like
different areas of
specializations. So, they are offering
like pre-doc then
MS by research and all such good
programs even for faculty also. So, they
are encouraging to participate in the
international conferences and all. So,
really it's a wonderful experience like
I I love to continue and I want to
become like some champion or maybe
superstar in near future. So, this
semester July 26th onwards also I would
like to take some courses. So thanks to
NPTEL once again. So really wonderful
organization. So the volunteers and the
students like they helped us very much
in directing and all. Thank you very

Ramaswamy Naidu Memorial College,
Sattur, Virudhunagar District. Uh it's
really delightful to stand here today.
This is my fourth consecutive time. Uh
so far I completed 28 NPTEL courses and
holding 10
NPTEL star with two domain star faculty
and uh
uh and the cyber security. Uh in July to
December 2025 I enrolled for 12 NPTEL
courses and completed them successfully.
In the same period I
uh cleared my UGC NET in computer
science uh because of uh NPTEL course
enrollment
uh which is similar to UGC NET syllabus
like uh operating system, computer
networks, and so on. I really feel very
happy to share with this in front of
you.
Uh thank you. NPTEL is really well
structured. Uh even at now I am also
feel uh very excited to enroll such more
courses. Thank you.

Right, I am Jayakumar uh coming from uh
PMT College, Sankarankovil.
Right, this is the my first NPTEL star
award. And I'm really exciting. So I
really very very helpful to
uh me and my scholars also. Right, uh
today's session is very very wonderful
sessions because I don't know any star
on the NPTEL course. But today I learn I
I know about more stars are there in the
NPTEL rated courses, right? So one
request uh
all the PhD scholars enroll in the uh
NPTEL online course. But uh already they
are
enter in the
course work examination. Three papers
are
compulsory write the examination in the
university. So, they are already they
are entered in the online courses also.
So, exemption from the course of
examination. So, they are completing the
they are completing online courses
in the NPTEL swim courses. So, they are
exempting from the
course of examination in the PhD course
works. So, it is on request to you
because
that is promoted or motivated to the all
the all type of PhD scholars, they are
enrolled in the online examination NPTEL
examinations. That that is a request to
them.
