Video summary

The video features a reseller sharing a collection of unusual items they successfully sold on eBay, highlighting the contrast between their low acquisition costs and final selling prices. The host begins by showcasing a vintage Little Tikes dollhouse kitchen set purchased at a garage sale for just two dollars, which eventually sold for twenty-two dollars and seventy-five cents after a longer-than-expected listing period. They also discuss vintage Staytight barrettes that commanded forty-five dollars despite being unsigned, noting that specific styles like the tortoise shape tend to fetch higher prices. Another standout item was a goofy Disney trading pin bought for one dollar at a garage sale in 2022; although it took a long time to sell, it generated significant profit compared to other pins that moved quickly. Throughout the presentation, the speaker emphasizes the importance of accurate listing details and market research when flipping vintage goods. A particularly interesting example is a two-tone locket from 1928, which sold for forty-four dollars twenty cents after being picked up for a dollar, demonstrating how certain eras like the late 1920s are currently trending well in the resale market. The host also shares experiences with bulk lots of sterling silver jewelry by Ben Chavis, advising viewers to always check item sizes and authenticity tests when researching comparable sales. Additionally, they mention selling an Oscar de la Renta crystal pendant bought for fifty cents at a thrift store for fifty-one dollars, proving that patience and holding onto items until the right buyer appears can yield substantial returns even on high-end designer pieces. The most bizarre item featured is a vintage cottage cheese container from 1932, which the host acquired for five dollars and sold for thirty-eight dollars sixty-eight cents. Despite its odd nature and long time to sell, the host describes it as "superior cottage cheese" due to its antique status. Other items included a Bucilla Christmas sampler pair without thread that sold for twenty-nine dollars seventy-five cents, a Longaberger golf towel from an estate sale, and a Jellycat security blanket lamb bought for two dollars and sold for twenty-six dollars. The host also reflects on a Jellycat bunny they initially passed up at ten dollars because the margins were too low compared to current market values, illustrating the delicate balance between quick flips and holding inventory for better profits. In conclusion, the video serves as both an entertaining showcase of weird finds and a practical guide for aspiring resellers looking to grow their businesses. The host encourages viewers to join their Facebook group to share their own "Bought On Low Offer" (BOLO) stories, fostering a community where members can promote each other's platforms like eBay, Instagram, or Whatnot. They also provide promotional information for tools they use, such as List Perfectly for cross-posting and Whatnot for sourcing inventory, offering referral discounts to help new sellers get started. Ultimately, the message is one of persistence and strategic pricing, reminding viewers that even the strangest items can become profitable if the right buyer is found with enough patience.

Hey, bolo buddies. Thanks for watching. All right, you guys, I got a good one for you. I sold something really weird. Um it's really cool. It did take a while to sell, but I want to know, would you have picked it up or left it behind? So, we're going to get to it. It's towards the end, but just stay tuned. All right, this is a Little Tikes dollhouse furniture kitchen table, chairs, stove, and sink. Isn't this the cutest? This is for a dollhouse. It is dollhouse size. I got this at a garage sale for $2, and it sold for $22.75. It did take a little longer than I expected to sell. These are the vintage barrettes. These are the Staytight, which means um they look like this, and they attach and they attach really tight, so your hair stays really good in them. These are very, very popular. Goody makes these, and then you can also find them unsigned. I don't know if Goody makes all of them, and some are signed, and some are not. They look the same, but um I'm just not sure. But, these were unsigned, so I just put unsigned in my title. I sold these for a best offer of $45. The 3-in and the tortoise, the faux tortoise look, are the ones that go for the most. The next one is this goofy Disney trading pin, and whoa. Oh, I Okay. I was like, what did I do there? I was showing you the other picture. This one and this one. The same person bought them. They added them to their cart for a total of 26.52. These They took a long time to sell. So, I don't know. Some Disney pins sell fast, some take forever. These took forever. I think they've been listed since 2022. This one flew out of my store. I picked this up at a garage sale for a dollar. It's gorgeous. It's 1928. It's a two-tone locket. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. So, it's a locket, number one, that's good. 1928 seems to be trending pretty well, at least for me and my eBay store. Um, I don't list a lot of 1928, but I picked some up at a garage sale and I was just in a listing mood and I listed some of them. And this one and another one sold very quickly. I sold this for 4420 and I paid a dollar for it. Express jeans, another pair going out the door. These are bell flare, high rise, button fly. Again, these seem to be selling and trending pretty good right now. I sold these for $56 and the buyer paid shipping. The next is this Bucilla Christmas sampler pair. It doesn't have anything in it, guys. It is strictly just the There's no thread, none of that stuff. It's just what you see here. And I sold this for 2975. This LEGO set, it took a while to sell. It's just your classic bricks. Always put the number here. See, 11 008. Always add that to your title so people know. I try to show all sides of the box. Some people collect and they don't open them and they want the boxes. Uh, this one sold for 2486 and I paid five for it at a garage sale. These are amazing. Uh, I think they just came in a bulk lot. I can't remember. Uh, they are by Ben Chavis, Chavis, sterling silver howling wolf coyotes. Now, I when I was researching these, some are smaller, some are bigger. So, when you're if you're searching comps on something like this, make sure you look at what size the items are, okay? And I did do my acid test right here as seen. So, it shows that they are indeed silver. They are signed sterling and there's my measurement. I sold these for a best offer of 50. The next item is this designer BBJ 1925 1925. Oh my goodness. Go to bed. 925 sterling silver carved stone rose ring and it is a gorgeous. It's a size 6.25. I got this at a garage sale for $12 and I took a best offer of 85. I love it. It's so pretty. Uh this dragon and this dragon Oh, hold on. This dragon and this dragon The first one, I'm sorry, sold for I thought they added them to their cart. They didn't. They paid separate. This one sold for 20. And this one sold for 28 and I had two of these and they both have sold. This is an old 2004 vintage Longaberger towel. Old towel, guys. It's a golf towel. >> [laughter] >> I got this at an estate sale, probably paid a dollar for it and I sold it for a best offer of 17. Uh Longaberger, let's talk about it. Let me know in the comments, do you guys sell Longaberger? How do you do? Um I just listed a couple candles that I picked up over the weekend. They're like replacement heart candles that are Longaberger. I'm going to see how those do. And um Yeah, let me know what you guys sell. They make dishes, they make baskets. Um I've had some items do really well that I've gotten that are Longaberger, others not so much. This is vintage Rosco five-piece flathead screwdriver set. My husband gave me these. I don't know anything about it. I just listed them. They took a long time to sell, but they sold for $28. The next item are these signed L L E L L L L L E L L E 925 sterling silver silver jewelry huggie earrings, mother of pearl. They're gorgeous. Uh got these in a lot and I sold them for a best offer of 58. All right, here it is. It's a vintage cottage cheese container. What? That's what the cottage cheese containers containers used to look like. Is that crazy or what? >> [laughter] [gasps] >> Oh my gosh, what's is that say 1932? 1932, I should have put that in the title. Almost antique. Look at that guys. What do you think? Would you have picked it up or left it behind? Now, I will say it took a long time to sell. Long time, but it's superior cottage cheese. I got it at a garage sale. If I remember correctly, I paid five for this and it sold for 3868. This one is an Oscar de la Renta crystal pendant. It took a long time to sell. I'm really surprised. I think I probably just maybe had it priced a little on the high end for what it is. I don't know. I sold it for a best offer of 51 and I got it at a thrift store for 50 cents. So, worth the wait. It doesn't take up much space. Just throw it in a tote and wait for the right buyer to come along. That's what I did and 50 cents into $51. Jelly cat, love selling jelly cat. This one is a little security blanket lovie. It's a little lamb and I got it at a garage sale for two and I took a best offer of 26. This is what the tag looks like. If you see that tag, look it up. Um I did see one this weekend. It was a bunny rabbit and it was $10 and I looked it up and they were only going for you know, 15 to 25 for that exact one and I was like, "Eh, I don't want to pay 10 for it." But, the the lady said, "You know what these go for? These go for a lot of money." So, she probably wasn't off base at the $10 for somebody who was just looking for their collection, but for me as a reseller, the just margins weren't good enough. Let me know if you would have grabbed that uh jelly cat for 10 bucks at if you were at a garage sale. All right, it was the bunny and it was a smaller one and it Yeah, like I said, the comps just weren't there for me. Thank you guys so much for being here. Thank you for watching.
