WEEK IN MY LIFE 🤍 seeing my custom wedding dress for the first time & hidden Austin swim spot

Hey y'all. What's up? My name is Sali. Welcome to a new vlog. I am so excited for today because I am going to see my wedding dress for the first time ever technically because I'm pretty much getting it custom made here in Austin. I found this amazing designer. I tried on one of her pieces and I was like, "Okay, I think this is like the silhouette I want to go for and we're pretty much going to make it similar to that dress, but then we're going to like customize it to perfection." And today is like the first day that I'm going to really see like the structure of what they came up with. I'm not exactly sure what the progress is, so I'm very curious to see. But I just feel like everything with the wedding is kind of starting to really happen because in I think two weekends I'll be in Cabo for our wedding tastings, my makeup and hair trial, and then just like the walkthroughs of the venue. This whole time I haven't really been super stressed out, and like I felt stressed because I wasn't stressed, if that makes sense. I've never done this before, so I don't really know what the timeline should really look like. I mean, we do have a full service planner, and they reassured us. They were like, "We are on a good timeline. Like, don't worry." And so, I feel like once I actually go to Cabo, everything's really going to feel real. And I'm like a little nervous for that because I feel like it's going to feel really overwhelming. But, nonetheless, I'm really excited for it to all happen. in. So, I got my bridal white on, my bridal glam because I feel like if I am in my wedding dress, like I couldn't come here with no makeup otherwise. That would be bad. Like, I would be like hating the dress. The material of my dress came straight from India, which is so cool to me because a lot of my other wedding weekend looks from India. In December, we went wedding shopping in India and I just will always cherish that moment and just like experience because my dad got to take me and Ryan and I hadn't been to India in like 12 years. So, it was really really cool to see with obviously my fiance and just like in my adult eyes cuz I feel like I appreciate things so much more now. That being said, I did go to India in December and I started my GOP1 journey in September. And so, by that time when I went to India, I hadn't lost all the weight that I did lose, which is amazing. But I went in with like my measurements that I had in December, obviously. And one of my Indian outfits are actually still in India because I was like, you know what, let's keep it there and let's wait till June so I can give you my new measurements because I knew I was going to like lose a little bit more weight. Um, but one of the Indian outfits, they just like shipped it off and I was like, shoot, like I should have done that with this one. But I have it right here. So, I think I'm just going to bring it into the bridal shop and see how much they would charge me to get that altered because it is a little bit loose in the back. And just like the skirt in general, there's a good amount of space that I feel like I should tighten. But it is a fully beaded piece, so I can't just really take it anywhere. So, I'm really hoping that they can help me out cuz obviously they work with like beaded fabrics and lace and all of that. I am filming a whole YouTube video on my dress reveal and like the whole process. So, I'm going to bring my camera in and take a couple of clips for that. I fully went into that dress appointment thinking I was going to film for YouTube and then I realized like I can't show you guys my dress. So, I'm so sorry. You will not be seeing that until November. But it went so well. I cannot even believe that's my wedding dress cuz my waist is non-existent, which is exactly what I wanted. And I'm so happy I went the custom route. If you guys are looking for a wedding dress in Austin, you just don't find anything that you like, just know that she is there doing custom wedding dresses for like actually a good price. I honestly thought custom would be an astronomical price just like everything else in this wedding industry. But she does all the alterations. So like that's all included in the price. And I remember shopping at more affordable wedding dress stores and finding out the alterations are like double what the wedding dress would have costed. So anyways, I highly recommend going to her if you guys are in Austin. I did get a smoothie king smoothie because I wanted a little like sweet treat pickme up. I brought in a Lani new with me in a cooler, but I don't know if I really need like that much energy. Like it is like at the end of the day, I'm actually going to head to a happy hour with my friends um at Nomad. I've been wanting to try their newest taco happy hour and that's at 5:00. It's like almost 4:00. So I think I'm just going to go straight there and like edit on my phone. I always have to do on my phone. Also, I forgot to tell you guys that she was able to alter my langa, but it's costing so much because it's like beaded and like so intricate and she has to like pull the zipper out and yeah, I'm so mad that I didn't just like leave it in India for a while. But, you know, lesson learned. I did do that with one of my outfits. So, I just gave him my updated measurements and hopefully he'll be shipping that soon. Now I can enjoy my little sweet treat. I feel like there's been so much happening in Austin, which is kind of odd because I feel like summer is usually very slow with creator events. Like spring is really when it is like crazy, especially with Southby. But I love going to creator events cuz I get to see my creator friends and obviously we get to try out new products. So today's event is with Pixie Beauty, hence why I'm wearing Pixie Pink. They said to wear like pinks and greens and pastels and creams. I went with this stunning pink slinky dress. It is a little outside of my comfort zone, but I'm trying to push myself a little bit more. So here's the full body. And then of course I'm wearing my Freya bag like always. You guys know I love my pressons, but yesterday I decided to paint my nails with actual nail polish. And I just got this brand in London Town. And I've never heard of it before, but I really love the formula of these. I think they're well known for their nail concealer. And honestly, I need that. And it's so nice to have short nails after having long nails for so long. Made it to South Congress, but I did fall like right when I got out of my car. Today we are up bright and early on a Saturday because I'm taking pictures of my friend Caitlyn and her whole family. I've just been wanting to shoot more. So I've been reaching out to a couple of friends to just like offer them free photos. And all of them are like, I'm so happy that you reached out. Like we haven't had photos done in so long. So it makes me happy that I can provide like something of value and like obviously get some content for my own photography because right now not a lot of people want to be outside shooting in the heat, which I totally understand. So that is why we're shooting at 7:30. Honestly, I would have done earlier, but she has a baby and so we got to work around Carmen. I did get here 10 minutes earlier, so I want to knock out a few Tik Toks for my photography account. And I also need to show you guys these sunflowers. They're absolutely insane. And I really only come here during like the fall and winter. I don't shoot here very often cuz it is kind of far from my house. I only see it when it's not very green. It's just like dry brush. But like sunflowers have taken over Austin in general, but also this field. It's insane. I'm so excited. >> Senali's literally the bestest of the best. We're getting fam photos. And it only opened at 10:00 anyway, so it's perfect timing. It literally just turned 10:00. And I'm going to go into Zara and maybe H&M. Hopefully, I just have to hit up Zara and then I can go home. But I want to find an outfit for Ariana Grande. Like I want to dress up a little bit cuter and like maybe some sparkles. I don't really have like a ton at home especially cuz I've like lost a good amount of weight. A lot of things don't fit me anymore. I do rent my clothes and I tried to find something on Newi and I'm also going to Cabo next weekend. Is it the next weekend? No, the weekend after that. So I tried to get like more Cabo outfits. So let's hope I find something really good at Zara. It is currently 1:30. I did find a top at Zara. I got a few more things, just like two basic t-shirts and like a little sweatshirt, like a thin sweatshirt. But, um, the top, like, it's it's great. It's beautiful. And I feel like I can dress it up maybe with bottoms, but like I said, the bottoms that I have in mind, I think are a little bit big. And I don't love like low-waisted things. Otherwise, I could like pull it off that way. But I don't know. Should I sew it? Like I literally have a sewing machine. Should I literally tailor my clothes? Like I feel like this is why I got a sewing machine, but I don't know if it I'm like obviously not to that level at all yet. So it might look a little botch, but I might try. So I'm getting ready. It's 1:30 just cuz I feel like every time I want to film my makeup or just film in general while I'm getting ready, it takes so long and I'm always so rushed and I don't want to be rushed today. So, we are chilling, relaxing, getting ready for Ariana Grande. I'm so excited. When I first got invited, I was like, shoot, do I even know this new album and then I've been listening to it a little bit. And thank God for Tik Tok cuz I feel like I do know a good amount of the songs, at least like the choruses. Um, but I'm trying out new eye mask today, Pixie Beauty. This is the um detoxify deeppuffing eye patches. I just want a little extra, you know, hydration on my face tonight so my makeup can lay so beautifully. I'm gonna like slay my makeup. Let's manifest a good makeup day. My friend Ria is going all out with her makeup. So, I'm inspired. I feel like I I might do a little eyeliner tonight. We might get a little crazy, but I just went through on my TikTok and saved a ton of transitions. So, I think I'm going to film at least like two transitions and see which one turns out better. Or I mean, maybe I'll post both. We'll see. You guys, how do I wear eye patches so that they don't slide down? Okay, maybe that actually feels better right there. Like a little bit more off to the side and not all the way up on my nose. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I'm going to Ariana Grande with RM Beauty, which is Ariana Grande's makeup brand. I believe they sell it at Ulta. And I am so excited to hopefully get some goodies tonight. So, I don't think I've ever tried anything from, but I've heard really, really good things. And like, that's crazy. Like I was invited by Ariana Grande's makeup brand. And I feel like this is just so full circle because when I was first starting off on YouTube, I went to an Ariana Grande concert and filmed a whole get ready with me. The makeup, the eyeshadow goes insane back then. It was like right before I went into college. So that was like I think 2015. I went with my friend Annie and we had the time of our life. I remember this dad that was sitting right next to us bought us both cotton candies cuz he like just took his daughter and that was so nice. I'll never forget that. But we actually were like pretty up there. Like it was so amazing. And like I love Ariana Grande's old songs like Honeymoon Avenue, that kind of vibe. Love, love, love. Sometimes if I'm in my fields, I'll just like put it on and like belt out in my car. I also did a whole music video kind of Ariana Grande style. I literally bought a green screen for this video and I can't find it anywhere. I for sure deleted it off my channel, which I am so stupid. I should have just like archived it so no one could see it but me. But obviously I didn't think about my future self wanting to actually see the cringiness of that video. But now I'm so bummed because now I feel like I can like laugh at my cringey old self. Low key it really doesn't get less cringey. I feel cringey every single day. So if you want to start posting content like I'm sorry to say this, but it doesn't get any less cringey. So you might as well start today. I currently have literally every one of my electronics on the charger right now. I got my little ring light, my portable ring light, my fan. I just bought like a new fan because I wanted something really powerful. So, apparently, everyone's been super hot. There's already been two shows on Wednesday and yesterday was her birthday show. Both nights were so hot. Apparently, usually Moody is pretty cold. I remember I went to see Bad Bunny and like the brand got us sweatshirts and we were all in our sweatshirts totally comfortable. But apparently it's been just so crazy hot because word on the street is that she requests it to be 76°. I don't know what it was for her vocal cords. And I'm just like hopefully I don't sweat too much. Like hopefully I'm prepared enough with fans. I might actually bring two cuz I just like don't love sweating. I mean, if it's outside, like that's fine. But if I'm sweating indoors where you literally have AC and it's just like not turned on, I will just be so irritated and I like don't want that to happen. Like obviously I want to enjoy myself. So, we are going to be as prepared as we can get. Phone's on the charger, cameras on the charger, charging everything up for tonight. You know, the eye look I was just talking about. I think we're going for it. You know, a little throwback to the reddish brown eye makeup that I used to do. I loved a reddish brown. I still like the terracotta on my cheeks, but I literally never do eye shadow anymore. I don't know why, but tonight we're doing it cuz why not? Hopefully it turns out good, though. I feel like the older I get, the more I think that too much makeup looks a little crazy. So, we'll see. I feel like I have big eyes and I love to keep it that way, but whenever I put on eye makeup, I feel like they just get smaller. So, especially going to my makeup trial for my wedding, I'm going to make sure to tell her that I like my eyes to stay big and like wide and white. And I put eyeliner on this eye, just like a little bit on the corner. Do we think it makes a difference? Does it make it look bigger or smaller? I think if I put like eyeliner down here, it makes it look smaller, but I might smudge out like shadow on the lower lash. But I don't know. Should I do a wing, you guys? I feel like every time I do a wing, I'm like, eh. But it's always fun to do a wing. And like I said, I'm going to a concert tonight, you know? Might as well go all out. It's 3:36. I'm just spraying some wet texturizing spray in my hip hair. I did my hair a little different and I love it. I literally took like 10 minutes. Not even joking. I just left it on the wand for like 5 seconds each. And this is what it looks like. The false lashes also look really, really good. I'm like pretty happy with my makeup. I mean, it was a little struggle. I don't know what I used, but my face is like peeling. So, that's fun. Not a good day for that to happen, but there's hair. Yeah, got it. Okay, let's do setting spray cuz we know we're going to need this. Say city spray. Spread. City set. It's like oo more than halfway. And then I love to go in with my L'Oreal Infalluable. Like this is crazy. It just like locks it all in and I definitely need that. But it's like hairspray. Like it will get in your hair. My hair doesn't feel like super clean even though I washed it literally yesterday. But that's okay. I don't know what happened. So I'm just going to like cover it a little bit and then spray it. I make sure I get like my cheeks especially. Okay. I feel like I need more blush. Where's my blush? I also did some fake freckles. You know, just having fun with my makeup. This about face blush in the color in the dust. so good. It's like so glowy and just like a really really pretty color. Okay, we're going to lock that in again with the setting spray. So funny how I was like, "Oh yeah, I'm just going to like sew my skirt tighter." Mhm. Like I have time for that. Absolutely not. It's 3:39. I should probably leave my house by like 4:00. Still got to get my bag and everything. Ain't no time for that. But I don't know what bottoms to wear. I got these new earrings from this company called Frasier Sterling. I think they're based in Houston. Look how cute. And you guys, the skirt actually fits. It is low-waisted, but like you can't really tell because this top is longer. It really all came together. Hair is looking a little crazy, though. It just needs a little brush. I'm thinking I need some body gloves. So, we're going to do Patrick Taw Glow Bomb. Is that what it's called? Yes. Of course, all over her chest. I think I want to take off this necklace and maybe go no necklace cuz the earrings are like a statement. Love looking like a glazed donut and just so moisturized. I feel like this needs to happen. the Ariana Grande Cloud perfume. I know the blue one's cloud, but I don't know if this is like just cloud intense or if it's a totally different fragrance. But love the pink one even more than the blue one. And I love the blue one. I just feel like it's a very mature smell and I love it. We're all ready just in time. You coming? >> Happy Sunday. We got bird biscuit for breakfast. It is so good. If you live in Austin, if you've lived in Austin, you haven't tried it yet. Like literally, what are you doing? back when we would like go out out, we would always get it after a night out because it's the best hangover food. I really didn't drink too much yesterday. Like by the time I got home, I was like completely sober. Um, so not hung over today, thank God, cuz I was not trying to feel that. I want today to be like productive, but also like rot a little and just like I don't know, see where the day takes me. I definitely want to clean up because the house is pretty cluttered and you know it'd be nice to do some laundry because it's piling up and just like reset for the week ahead. The order I get is a queen beak and it has like spicy mayo and like peppered honey in it and then I get peppered honey on the side so I can dip it in and I love like a sweet and salty combo. It is my dad's birthday today and if you know him at all, you know that he is partying right now in St. Trope. He loves to travel and he loves to party. So, he's turning 60 today, by the way, which is crazy. So, I just tried to like WhatsApp him and he's like literally at a day club, a beach club, like with all his friends. And it was like so blurry, but he was like, "This is my daughter FaceTiming me." And I'm like, "I can't hear anything. It's like literally like glitching so bad." But I just thought I would give him a call. I I didn't know if he was like going to start partying early. Of course. Of course. He's He's my dad. Yes. I think it's like 5:00 p.m. there right now. And it's currently 10:30 a.m. here. Last night's concert was so much fun. To be honest, I was really really worried that it was going to be very hot in that concert venue. Run Beauty had sweets every single night. So, I had a bunch of friends that had already went and all of them were like, "Yeah, it was really really hot. Bring a minivan." So, I was like, "Prepare the whole night." I did use it a little bit cuz it was still like pretty, you know, like hot and steamy when you were like dancing. But it was nowhere near as hot as it seemed the other day. So, I was very, very thankful for that because I do feel like being hot just would have made the experience a little less enjoyable. But she is just an insane singer. Like I saw her in high school. I think I already told you guys this. And I just feel like whenever you go to a concert, you fall more in love with the artist. So, I've been like listening to all of her old songs and she's just so good. So Ryan's biggest fear is spiders. Mine is ants. So he takes care of the ants. I got the spiders. I know it's weird for you guys, but I had a very traumatic experience when I was younger. I was in Girl Scouts playing Red Rover and I stepped in a red ant pile. And life was never the same. Let's check what's in the garden today. There's some tomatoes. Not that many though. I really thought I would be having like so many tomatoes that I could jar and make sauce out of, but nope. Not this year. I guess my cucumber plant is going crazy. I actually just put these little ropes up so that they could grow vertically because it was like a mess of a jungle. They were like all getting tangled together. I'm growing okra over here. Look how beautiful this okra flower is. It only lasts a day and then it just like randomly falls off. But look at all this okra. I actually need to look up how to know when to pick it. My zenyas are finally so close to blooming. I mean, there's one, but that's so short. And usually they're so tall, so I don't know what's going on. And also, my cosmos are not doing very well this year. And that's usually another really easy flower to grow. So, I'm not really sure what's going on. I think I said this in another vlog, but I did buy these zenyas at a nursery and they are doing pretty well. And look at these. These are sunflowers, but they're teddy bear sunflowers. And I'm pretty sure they were supposed to grow way taller than that, but like, you know, I'll take it. They're blooming at least. I also made a little trellis for these guys cuz they were getting a little crazy. These are honeydew melon and butternut squash, I believe. And I think that these are edible, these flowers. I've seen people literally fry them and I'm like so curious. Should I try that? These are doing so well, my salvas. This one's like bushing out a ton. And I wish these two would do the same. I mean, I do see like small buds over here. So, maybe it just needs a little bit more time. I'm so sad. This rose plant, I don't know what's going on here. It was actually way more yellow. Um, I did end up fertilizing a lot of these plants like a couple of days ago, and I think I just need to do that more often. So, it's actually looking a lot better, which is good. But there were so many beautiful pink roses on it and now they're all gone and I think they're like fried. I don't know. But the nursery guy said that it needs full sun. So, we'll just have to figure that one out. We got a blackberry plant over here. And you know what? Why don't we pick off this little guy? Oh, hello. Okay. Stunning harvest of the day. One and a half berries. This rose plant's grown so much. This is a JFK rose. And there were so many more roses on it. But I don't know, maybe it's cuz of the heat. But these roses just do not last very long. So they like look perfect for maybe like a day and a half and then they get really burnt to a crisp. So I end up just cutting them so that they grow a lot more. Still not over this crepe myrtle. I feel like we've just had such a mild summer and all the rain has just made all these beautiful flowers bloom so much. The crepe myrtles, the sunflowers all over Austin. It's gorgeous. But then it falls into the pool and it literally makes it look like we're in Thailand. Like this is on purpose, but it's not. And then it makes the pool green though. So that is an issue. Ryan's just going to have to like throw some more chlorine in it. I don't know why, but I've randomly facetimed a ton of people today and I feel like everyone is like, "Oh, damn girl, you still got your makeup on from last night." I don't ever sleep with my makeup on. It's just my freaking lashes that I still have on from last night cuz I just wanted to see if they were going to get gunky. I was going to maybe like film today, but that's just not in the cards. So, I wanted to see if they were going to last for a couple of days, but I think I'm just going to take them off cuz they look so like weird without makeup. I mean, I guess they don't really look horrible on camera, but on FaceTime, they do look a little bit jarring. Okay, I've just been doing a couple of like Sunday reset things around the house. I had a ton of things that I wanted to just like restock, but now I'm going to start some laundry. And I just wanted to tell you guys about these two products. I feel like I've shown you in vlogs before, but I'm trying to see which one was the one I used last. I think it's the beauty sleep. Oh my gosh. I washed my Lola blanket in this and it still has that smell. I think I washed it like two two weeks ago. It still has that smell at night and it smells so good. It's not like sweet. It's like a floralally perfume. I don't know. I'm not really good at like scents and notes and Okay. Warm sandalwood. Jasmine. There we go. Lavender. That's what it is. It smells stunning when I get into my bed at night, but this one's also really, really good. Um, it's a little bit less intense. This one's the active wear detergent. I am really stingy with these cuz they are a little bit more pricey. But since our pantry/ laundry room doesn't have a door on it, it's like right in the kitchen. I will literally save this on days where I just want my house to smell really really good cuz it like fills up my whole entire kitchen with the smell. So today I am going to use this because obviously I want our towels to smell really good and our house to smell really good. Little life hack I guess. Mosquitoes love me. And this is what I've been using all summer. I really do think it has made the biggest difference. I'll link it. It's on Amazon. Um, they have a spray, too. But I actually really like the lotion. It does not smell like anything. And it actually looks really glowy, too. So, if I'm going out and I just want a nice little moisturized look and not to be bitten, I will make sure to apply it. But we are doing something very adventurous. I was going to raw on the couch for the rest of the night and just like edit, but I was like, you know what? I probably should get outside. Ryan was playing golf, but I didn't really get outside today. And so, we are checking out a new spot. This is like, what is this called? Blink Falls at Creek or something. >> Look, it's outside. Anyways, okay. Let's go explore. We did do like the shorter hike. I'm not much of a hiker, but I do got my chacos on, so putting them to work today. So, this is like a swimming spot, I believe. We're just going to follow the Bluetooth speaker. Like, a speaker is totally fine, but like just keep it in your bubble, you know?
