WEEK IN MY LIFE AT HOME 🏡💌💒 booking our wedding venue, making bridesmaid boxes & plate wall install

[music] Heat. [music] Heat. Good morning. Happy Monday, y'all. It's going to be a really good week in my life at home. We also have some home projects. I'm trying to really just get back into my routine. We've had so much travel. We're leaving again on Friday to go to Chicago for the Stitch Tour, which I'm really excited about. But I want to get like back in my routine. I will say like the summertime sadness. I have reverse seasonal depression. So like I feel it in the summer. It's really been hitting me and I think it's also because I'm exhausted and then I'm like not able to get back into my routine and all the things. So this week we are making that a top priority. I also have a lot of fun exciting things happening. We're also doing the plate wall. Guys, seriously, I'm going to die. Anyway, I need to leave for my workout literally right this second. I can show you guys what I'm wearing. Um, my closet is like a little bit of a mess, but it's just this like cute little blue set from Lululemon. I think it's the line line. Um, but anyway, I'm going to go weightlift and then get back and we are going to have a productive, healthy, nice week at home. All right, y'all. I'm back from my workout. I just changed and I have this. Okay, guys. Obviously, this is not groundbreaking, but this yellow, what do they call these? What neck? I forget. From J. Crew. I've been living in this. Anyway, it's Monday morning. I've got a ton of calls today, but we are starting off our morning very strong this morning. I woke up again early, started stitching, but I need to proof watch the vlog. So, I'm going to sit here and finish my bridal clutch. I need to finish it this week because I want to send out hopefully this week if I have the time [clears throat] um all of the purses to ask my bridal party to be in my wedding. I would love to do that this week and I think I can finish it. I've really kind of like gone through the last of it. These are from Blue Canary. They're my favorite bags. I stitched three and my grandma stitched three for the bridal party. So, I need to get this done so I can make like the content around it cuz I want to like take photos of all these together because I worked very hard on them and then I will ask them. We're also like very far out for my wedding. So, we're fine. Um anyway, I'm going to watch I need to proof watch and give notes on the podcast episode. So, I'm going to sit here and just, you know, kill two birds with one stone. Tonight, we have the event for Harrison's collab, a friend of mine, Harrison Wallace collab, which I'm really excited for. I'm really really into Bowden pieces right now. Anyway, um, tomorrow's a recording day. So, I have three guests and then a couple other things that I'm recording just for myself or for house guests, but like on my own. So, I need to get my outfits good and ready to go and tan and do all the things. I'm really happy with the progress that I've made here. I can't really stitch this tonight though if I tan, I don't think. You know, but it's looking good. I'm actually like almost done, which is good cuz I need to finish this. I know I already told you guys this, but I'm feeling good about that. Anyway, the event was so fun. It was just such a good night with such great girls and we had the best time. Thank you to Savile for hosting. It was seriously so much fun. But anyway, I need to get to work. This is a tried and true dress for me. This reformation like red polka dot dress. I do love her. So, that might be a good one. Maybe for [music] my etiquette coach. I feel like that is good. We have an etiquette coach coming on the podcast tomorrow. So, I'm feeling really fabulous about [music] that. Um, I might wear I haven't worn [music] this tank top on the pod. Oh, I hope that this Oh god, I really hope this didn't shrink. It's like a baby doll top. Oh god, if this shrunk, I'll be devastated. Wow. Perfect. Okay, did it? Let's see. I mean, it's a baby doll top anyway. No, I think it's okay. Like I think that this will be cute without this top on, actually with these jean shorts. I actually don't hate the idea of wearing this. I love the skirt that I got when we were in Charleston from Hill House. And I got the matching headband as well. [music] I think I don't know if a headband is calling my name tomorrow. It could be. It could be, honestly. Um, but I wish that I had like a red top to really bring out the red in this. I wish I had a good red top. I just don't think that I do. This could potentially be good. This though, I just don't know if that's going to I don't know if that's really going to do it for me. I really like skirts like this, but it's actually kind of weirdly hard to [music] style cuz yeah, you can wear a tank top, but I didn't love the tank top that I wore. Oh, wait. Wait. Is this This is yellow though. Oh, and I stained it. [music] these tanks from Zara. They're really inexpensive. They're so good. But I stained it right there. I'm like, could we cover it in the No, it's literally on the side that you would see. That's tragic. This could be cute. But then am I like doing the most, you know? No, I like that. Okay. Okay. So, we're good on that end. That's actually like perfect. This is my backup. I actually kind of like the idea of this together better. Like very casual. Okay, these are my options. So, we're good for tonight. Normally, we start recording earlier, but tomorrow we're starting at 10:00, so I feel like I have the morning for me. We have Presley's one of my friends from childhood. You guys have seen her in vlogs. She's actually been on the podcast before. It was a long time ago. And then we have Jordan Sparks. And then we have Carla Shalis who's like an etiquette coach. And Presley's sister is actually like my makeup artist, too. So, she's coming over to do our makeup this morning, which is so nice. But I do need to redo my hair. But the tops of it look good. The bottoms just kind of went flat. And I think I'm going to do a roller again to give myself some volume. I finally finished Oh, sorry guys. I finally finished that um needle project this morning, the bag. So that way I can send out and ask my bridesmaids this week to be like a bridesmaid and then we're good to go. That was really truly a labor of love. like those bags are beautiful, but like stitching all of them. I only stitched three and then my grandma stitched three to help me. And I was like, look, that's all I need for my wedding gift is you to help me stitch these three bags. And we actually finished them like so soon. We started like before I got engaged cuz we didn't know I was getting engaged. Um, and I ordered them before cuz those bags take forever to come in. Um, we both finished them in like I think I finished stitching them in like four 5 weeks. That's really when I stopped doing whips because I obviously couldn't show that. But I do like I just love them and I really wanted to give them something that like was meaningful and that I put a lot of effort into and not like junky stuff, you know? Like I wanted it to be something that like you would keep forever that wasn't like branded almost like to my wedding. You know what I mean? Anyway, hold on. [music] >> [music] >> I don't even really know if these rollers do anything once I've actually like my hair is dry. Obviously, they like do better whenever my hair is wet, but whatever. I think I'm just going to do the front piece. And then when I'm redoing my hair, I just go through and I curl it again. And then yesterday, the only the reason I feel like it fell a little bit more besides it being so hot out is because I didn't let it sit in the like in the actual clips. I normally let it sit. I'll curl it and let them sit in these clips for a bit. Um, and then I feel like it literally will not ever go down, but I didn't give myself much time to let them sit. So, updates to come. We have new house guest stationary for the guest and it's so beautiful. And then we have these little like stamp that are like a fake wax seal, but they're like stickers. How convenient is that? Obsessed. So anyway, I don't really vlog much on recording days cuz we're obviously filming the whole thing, but I'll show you guys a little sneak peek. Wow, it looks so fab. Perfect. It's 7:00 p.m. Finished the recording day. Everyone has finally like packed up and left and the house just feels amazing. Charlie and I are going to drink some wine. I'm setting up some final stuff for Harrison's launch on Thursday, which I'm so excited about, guys. Like, these canvases are so I just feel like we could not have done a better job on this collection. Just like it's perfect. Tomorrow is like playwall day and I'm just like sitting here literally just like dreaming about it. Like how amazing and perfect is that going to be? Literally perfect. Absolutely perfect. But I recorded with Presley, my childhood bestie. You guys are going to love that episode. She's doing like a gap summer 28. Um also I got glam done so like therefore I don't want to take my makeup off. And Kristen is just the best. Kristen Farah actually Presley's older sister. She's so good. Also, guys, I've really been liking my like everyday jewelry. I also realized like way too late that I didn't wear earrings all day, which is like really out of character. I always wear those like pearl studs that I have. But this bracelet, it's a Jenny Bird bracelet. I just found it in my jewelry stash. I got it last summer. I think I actually got it on Nucket at their popup there or I got it at their Dallas popup. Jenny Bird is like one of my favorite jewelry brands. They just have the best stuff. Like their stuff is so good. this stuff, like the tennis bracelet and the matching necklace that I have is from Ary. And then this one is Jenny Bird and I just put it on here and like this for me is like the perfect stack. I don't want anything too crazy. Like maybe I'd add one more thing or something. I don't know. But I really like this stack and I've been wearing jewelry really since dating Charlie cuz he's like gifted me jewelry and because he's given it to me and it's been like nicer than the stuff I would buy myself. It's made me like commit to actually like wearing it daily and it just makes me feel so much more put together. Like I get the jewelry girls now. Our friend Alexa wears like stacks and stacks every day and I'm like see that is like that to me like you really have your life together cuz you're not losing your jewelry every second. You know what I mean? So anyway, great week so far. I need to pour a glass of wine. Oh, I finished my bridal bag. I don't even know where. Let me find it. Let me show you guys. I really put my head down in the past like 48 hours and she's done. She looks amazing. That's my new That will be my new last name or like however I decide to do it. Like I'm taking his name, but I don't know like what like what do you guys if you guys are getting engaged like what are you guys doing? The reason I don't feel one, I have like plans for my last name, but also I love my last name. My last name is Piper and it's like my favorite name, but also because I've gone by Kinsey Elizabeth for so long. Like taking that and like I have plans for the last name anyway. So I don't like feel any type of way really about it because I don't like I would still go by Kinsey Elizabeth professionally and that's my middle name anyway. So like I'm doing it. But I'm just curious what you guys are doing cuz I totally understand like why I get the push back and the not changing the name and all of that if I didn't have like the plans that I had. I think I would be feeling maybe that. But anyway, love this. Also, it's from Blue Canary. Sorry. Um if I didn't say that, but it's just like the cutest little needle point clutch. My grandma went in and made um backings too for this. So, she's going to make me one so that nothing gets on the white specifically, but I already stitched one for myself. Thank god my initials are staying the same um in probably like December and it's beautiful. No, it was January cuz it was it was my dad's birthday. So perfect. Like love that. So now I need to start up my new project. I don't know when I'm going to I'm kind of in the middle of the jolly of the month, but also like I don't want to Let me see when this vlog goes up cuz maybe I could just show you guys. So, I might switch that tonight. We've been watching SVU as always. We've also been watching a little bit of Scandal. I'm really into the Olivia. I'm obsessed with Olivia Benson. Guys, we need to talk about Olivia Benson because in the past like year really. I was like in Nashville. I feel like I got really hooked on SVU. I've always watched SVU in my life, but I don't know. There's just something about Olivia Benson. Like we'll be out and about like going and we're at weddings, at friends places, like at dinner at whatever. And like I'm always like I just miss Olivia Benson. Like I wish she was here. Like I feel like she is my true real life friend. And I'm I'm obsessed with that woman. Like oh my god love her. And like she's not. She's like I'm obsessed with like Marishka as well. Like she is a real life person to me because to me they're the same person in real life. But I'm just obsessed. I can't shut up. So it's like I could just like stop bothering you guys and end the clip. [sighs] But no, I need like a nice relaxing like bathtub moment tonight. That's what I'm looking at. I actually think I need to leave in 3 minutes, so that's good. >> [music] >> I'm back from my workout and I just have to say this Jury sweater, I know it's July, but probably my best purchase of the summer. I know that these roll necks are like nothing new. I don't think I even got it until I put one on and I just bought it cuz it's my favorite color. And guys, I wear it literally all the time. Like, it's so good. Also, these are over here. These are the best denim shorts I have ever worn. I will have them linked. Like there is just nothing like it. And it's so rare that I like shorts. Like I feel like I like shorts on me. I I finally have found the right shorts. Um they're not too long. They're not too short. They are comfortable. They are curve love. So they just like the fit. Everything about them. Oh my god, they're so good. They're from Abberrombi. So they're actually like really a good price and they have sales all the time. So anyway, I just feel like I need to tell you guys because they're the best. And I feel like I'm turning 29 next week and this is like truly the first time that I've really liked denim shorts on me and it's fully from this cut. Like they're so so good. So anyway, big day today. Got some meetings this morning. Um my new assistant's on her way over and we're going to handle a bunch of stuff. We need to shoot some brand deals. Then I have another meeting and then this afternoon, it's really exciting. I've been looking forward to this for the longest time. This is the day that we are finally putting up the plate wall and then I think my aunt's coming over and I think I'm teaching her and my mom needle point. So really exciting things happening. Um but anyway, I need to actually like get going. Guys, I finally got back the bags, guys. Look at how amazing these are. I have three more, but they're in their own bags. That's Macy's. This is for Alexis. That's for Dom. And then I have Molly's, my sister, and my cousins in there. But they are so perfect. So, we're going to wrap them up and mill those off tomorrow. But today, um, this afternoon, we're starting on the plate wall, which is really just so exciting. We have a bunch of plates over there. We have somewhere we have like the plate things that we use to hold them or to hang them all up. And we're going to start on this project and it's going to be so beautiful and so perfect. Also, the rug, I got this from Lumo. It's the nicest rug I've ever owned. But guys, like it is beautiful. Like there is such a difference between like a really nicer rug and I've never really like invested in a nicer one and this one I'm loving. But anyway, we're doing a plate wall. This is also a really inexpensive way to decorate your space because you can thrift. I know I've already said this, but you can thrift all of your plates and then the hangers are not super expensive and they're just perfect. [music] sort of like the cream the cream in it. It's really simple. They don't understand what really is. But I'm going to turn, [music] you know, like from my closet room. [music] I kind of went more on that side so you can see it. Okay. So maybe we'll start. [music] Um like do you see the space between that to that or is [music] it just Oh. Okay, so I'm making a lunch right now. I've mentioned this before, but this is my current favorite cookbook. It's so good. I got it cuz Charlie loves Mediterranean food [music] and he's very healthy and it's like high protein. But this one dish, lemony chicken bake. They're just chicken thighs. It is so good. I made it for my friends when they came over for dinner recently. And then I'm also going to make I don't know if I'll make this right. I probably will actually need to the ricotta stuffed eggplant rolls. They're so good. So anyway, I'm going to get to work. 450, 425, whatever. I'll figure it out. It's so good. Also, like very, very easy, but so good. Yeah. No. >> [music] >> I'm going to be amazing. Guys, it is 800 PM now. The plate wall just wow. It looks insane. Like, it actually looks really, really crazy on camera. It's really a statement. I'm obsessed with it. Like, it's so fun. This is, you know, maximalist core, but it just looks so cool. And when you walk into the house and then you see the plate wall, you're just like, "Oh my gosh." Like, it looks insane. My aunt, my mom came over and I gave them a little needle point lesson. they started on their projects and then I was giving them a little needle point show and tell. So, I still haven't finished this one and then this one is going to go with that. I've already showed you guys that, but it really looks amazing. I mean, I hope I don't ever get to the point where I'm like, "Oh, it's way too busy and like stressing me out." But like, I'm just obsessed. Like, it looks so good. Oh my god, it looks amazing. I did have to order two like orders of plates on Facebook Marketplace and corer them throughout the day cuz we didn't have enough. And then of course there's a couple that I still want to like fix and do. And also we need to like redo those two because they're on tape and we need to get smaller actual like plate hangers for them. But overall they look unreal. Happy Thursday guys. I went to a sculpt class this morning. Showered. Just gave myself a blowout so quickly. It's not my best work. And got ready. Today is Harrison's launch day for the needle point club. It's actually in like 5 minutes. So, I need to get ready. Actually, we are ready, but I need to like get on my computer and start all the things. And then I'm going on a garden show today at 11:00 and then we're coming back and I need to film a ton of like content that I needed to get done and then also prep for Chicago because Charlie and I leave for Chicago tomorrow. We have an event in the city and then we have a popup the next day and then we're flying back home Saturday, thank God, to be just back here. So anyway guys, also just like this morning, the best part is when you leave the house and then you walk back in it and you see the plate wall again. Like guys, are you guys ready for this? We have one Mackenzie Child's up there. I do feel like it kind of looks out of place, but it's the only I just needed a big plate that would work. Um, but I just love this. Okay, I'm back from the Garden Show. First off, guys, obsessed with them and it was the coolest office. It was just so cool. They have like patented a bunch of like gardening stuff and they just do so many like genius things. Like they have some sort of app or some sort of program. I don't know. I need to like get into reading this stuff that will tell you with gardening like Charlie would be your dream. It's like, "Hey, the weather's going to hit this. Like, bring your plants inside. Do that." Like, it's genius just based off your zip code. So, it'll give you alerts. But also, they're the first gardening company. They They said that they're more like a self-care company, but it's gardening that like is covered by insurance. So, it's like all wellness practices that are proactive, reactive. Like, it's actually just talking to them, I was like, "This is genius." And I loved it. So, anyways, we made a little herb garden. They have their container gardens in here. This is an outdoor bag, so we can go put this outside. We have What else? What else did we get? Thyme. Um, oh, the organic lemon verbana. I'm really excited about that stuff because it smells amazing. It's going to be good cuz I love cooking with lemon. Um, what is this? We have sage. And then she was saying for indoor plants to water them, you just go and you submerge it in water to like water it underneath. And then we have this little mister so everyone you can like mist your plants in the tropical serum. How cute. This is so nice. And they gave me a t-shirt. Getting dirty on purpose garden. Guys, it was really really cool. Like it was one of those things where I was like I wish I was here for 3 hours. Like Charlie, you would have loved it going and learning. That's what I kept saying. I was like, "Oh, he would literally love this." It was so so so cool. Like so cool. So anyway, really excited about that. Really happy. Cannot wait. This is beautiful. So cool. I want to do stuff with them and like events and stuff where like you guys come in and we like create a little like herb garden and you just learn so much. It's really cool. It's so therapeutic. So anyway, my new assistant, she's coming over and we are going to shoot a bunch of stuff. Charlie having this very exciting meeting at 3. And today's a very, very productive day. All right, guys. We just reorganized and did the laundry room, which is amazing. But these are what I did for my bridesmaids. I stitched them each a needle point blue canary bag, which I could only do because I kept my party very small. But I love these. I just finished that one earlier as you guys saw. Here's the actual visual of all of them. That's Maddiey's, Macy's, Dom's, Alyssa. Sorry, that's Alexis, my sister. Alyssa, my cousin, and Molly. I love them. And they're all It's fun because like my sister, actually my family in general is like more like neutralish colors. Like these two colors are way more of my sister, my cousin. That's way more of my substitute Alexis. And then that's very Dom, very Macy. And this is really cute. For Molly, I liked doing these colors a little bit more because I one I just obsessed with this. Like this color combo, especially with the blue canary bag, is so good. I just love the colors. Like they're so perfect and fun. And it actually kind of reminds me of Molly like when I first met her when we were like 16. So anyway, I just love these clutches. They're so fun. And I wanted to give them something that they could actually like have and use that wasn't like, you know, branded to my wedding or something like that. So anyway, that's what we're doing. We're making little boxes and then just doing notes, keeping it very simple. But I love them. We are doing my bridesmaid ass right now. I am going to have two made of honors. Shocker, guys. Please like, guess in the comments below. I stitch them as you guys saw all of their custom little needle point bags and then I put them in their dust bags and then I wrote a nice little note for them. I'm going to wrap them, put some ribbon on them, and then we're going to mail them out. I am even mailing out the ones that live here, my families, because like listen, it's just they all need to get them around the same time. So, that's what needs to happen. Now, I'm kind of like I'm worried that like someone's going to get the wrong one. Can you imagine how embarrassing after [laughter] all that work? So, to answer questions cuz I already know people are going to be like, "How do you stitch that all?" Like, we did start doing these before I got engaged. Like I knew I was getting engaged obviously and like I knew that the ring was there. So at that point like to get these bags painted takes like 12 weeks and then to stitch them takes more months. So my grandma and I split them up. I stitched three plus my bridal bag. She stitched three. We actually finished them like really quickly. I think I finished all three of them in like 5 weeks or something. It was when I was like in Greece like was that May? So I I did them all in May. We were done by the time I even got engaged. Like I thought for sure we would have need until July. Hi bud. He loves the camera. Anyway, so we have all these. I'm going to wrap them up and then I'll show you guys when we're done, but guys, it's going to be bad. [music] We are now doing something I've been meaning to do, which is switch these dining tables out. We have a new one coming. This one is just too big, too tall, and then the legs are on I don't know if they marked this. It's a beautiful table, but it doesn't work. The legs are out here, so it just makes it really annoying with the chairs. I got a new one from Wayfair that has the chairs in the middle. I've told you guys about this problem. So, I'm going to have Charlie set that up and move it over. And then I'm going to list this on Marketplace. I've been a big marketplace girl this week. I'm always a big marketplace girl. Who am I kidding? But [music] anyway, it's I think it's going to be so much better. I really hope so because we work at this table all the time, too. I'm actually about to turn on Morgan Stewart's podcast. My current favorite outside of the world's first podcast as always. My makeup looks so messed up today cuz I did it on like a weird tinted moisturizer. I don't know what happened there. Anyway, it's now 5:30. I'm about to cook us some chicken th What was that? Cook us some chicken thighs. Very productive day. I need to pack for Chicago. I need to edit like seven videos, half of which I need to send in. I need to pay some bills. I need to just there's I have a long long list of things that I need to get done. I need to self-tan. As soon as that's in the oven, I'm showering and selftanning and have a fabulous night. You know, I really am so grateful. Like, I am so I just feel so lucky. This week when I was recording with Presley, I was like, "Okay, we're like the cheesiest people in the entire world, so I'm actually going to stop." But anyway, just a good week. You want to say [music] Guys, I just got the craziest text from my aunt. I'm mid packing for Chicago and she was like, "Hey, background. She works at Gucci, so she gets like insane deals all the time." And she was like, "Okay, so these shoes have been missing. They've been gone forever. Like, we can't get them in stock. We ended up getting them, blah blah blah, whatever." She was able to like buy them. And she's like, "So, I got you these shoes, guys. They are these shoes." Like, I'm actually brought to tears. Like, oh my god, they're literally so perfect. Oh my god, they're amazing. Like, [laughter] she's also the reason that I have those Gucci chairs. If you guys didn't know, she got those like majorly discounted and I like just literally dream come true. I'm packed. I'm tanned. Charlie just set up the new dining table. And I think like Okay, the old one. Yes. I think it looked prettier. I just fear that with these edges, like does this look too like like a picnic table almost, like a corporate table. You know what I mean? The thing is it gives us a lot more room in this room, which is what was needed, especially as the plate wall just gets busier. I feel like I'm just overthinking it because a lot of people have dining tables that look like that. I don't know why the tablecloth will not sit still or sit flat, but it is better. And also the lip like goes over the couch a lot more. And I'm going to raise this by 2 in. I'm actually going to add antique looking um wheels to attach to this. My mom had them on a couch forever ago and they looked amazing cuz when you have a skirt like that, it would look weird if I had anything besides wheels. The wheels are going to look really nice on this couch and then you can lock them so they don't move. But I that's going to be like a really cool addition to this room. Anyway, just this is my vlog shot all week. It's literally just right here. Hi y'all. It's Friday. We made it to Chicago. We are running off to a little sip and shop early event for our tour stop tomorrow and then we have that in the morning. I'm going to be vlogging a little bit. Like not anything. Um, we just packed up the room because we are going to the cage tour event and then we are flying out right after. Here's what I'm wearing. We are in city 305 going very strong with my dolly necklace. This is from Liz G. Carter on Instagram. She makes the most creative pieces that I'm just obsessed with. They're definitely they're like kind of camp. Like they're definitely more out there obviously. Um but she's just been such a good hit on tour. I wasn't even planning on wearing it for even the stops or every stop and like now I'm like I have to wear it to all five of the stops. I'm just obsessed with her. She does a ton of stuff. Like she'll do like plate walls, not plate walls. Sorry. Why is it so dark guys? What's happening? Um she'll do like plate belt buckles. She does lots of necklaces. It's just like the coolest stuff ever. So anyway, this is my look and we are heading out right now. I'm really excited. Last night the event was so fun. The Chicago girls always really like show up and show up for me. You guys are so nice. I don't know. Like there's just so many of you guys in Chicago. And I don't know if it's because of like my high school days in Chicago. Like if you were here, you know, you know, or what, but like even when I was doing live shows here, it's just like the best crowd. So many more people than I would have ever expected. Like I'm just so grateful. You guys are so nice. Like every time it's so fun. I like going to the events cuz I feel like I'm just like making new friends. And it was really cool. They have I think it's Oldtown Stitch Club. I don't know the neighborhoods here well at all, so if I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but like one of the stitch clubs here. It's so cool what they've done. They're only like 6 months old. So if you guys live in Chicago and you're looking for a stitch club, I was meeting so many of the girls from that stitch club and they're like the best. Like I would be in this if I lived here. So anyway, um we are heading off. Haley and I I didn't vlog this morning, but Haley and I, who is our creative director, we went and got blowouts at like 8 a.m. So it's a great way to start off the day. But anyway, we are officially finally heading off. I got an iced latte, which like normally when I get drinks like this, like it makes me have a heart attack and I'm like one sip in. Heart attack.
