WEEK IN MY LIFE (1 hr+)🪡 🏡 learning to sew, new gallery wall, office updates & dinner party planning

Hi y'all. Welcome to another week in my life vlog. It is Wednesday. I just got back in town from New York last night. I woke up this morning, did my workout, and now we are heading off to the office. I've been so excited. We had the best week in New York. Like, I am not someone who like dies for New York City anymore. Like, I loved it growing up. It wasn't even because of actually New York. Like, I love and appreciate New York for what it is, and I think it's great, but it's not like my favorite place in the world by any means. I like it, but I'm not like diehard New York City. Anyway, we just had the best week. And I'm like, honestly, cuz there's so many things where I'm like I kind of do need to spend more time there. And now I'm like, honestly, let's get an apartment. Not actually, like I can't do that, but I'm like, you know, maybe. We just had literally the best week. I talked about this in the last vlog if you guys haven't seen it, but I'm just so grateful. Like, I feel like all of my dreams are just like coming true. It's actually just the craziest. Like, this has been the craziest year, and I'm so grateful and I just love you guys so much. Like, this is genuinely all because of you. Like seriously, from like day one of my YouTube channel, which was like 13 years ago, like I've been vlogging my life like every single week since I was 16, which is like kind of insane at this point cuz I'm 29. Anyway, I know I gave like this whole like talk in the last vlog, so I won't bore you, but seriously, I just wanted to say like I'm so grateful for you guys and like I'm just in such a good spot and I'm just like I will never take any of this for granted again, especially after being in the spots that I have been in. Anyway, we are off to the office. I got these cute little to-go mugs for the office. I also got a really cute little um massive office bag that's coming in later. I'm like really leaning into this whole office thing, but like I need to. Anyways, this is from Anthropology. I also got some just like basic striped t-shirts from Reformation. Like I needed a basic t-shirt to kind of like it's like a little boy shirt. You know what I mean? And it's so good. I have like the red striped one. I got a couple cuz I just know I'm going to wear them a ton and it's really just like the perfect fit. So anyway, I've already packed my bag and we're heading off. I have two or three hours worth of design meetings today for like separate things and I'm excited to see the office because a lot of things have been moved in while I've been away, which is very exciting. So anyway, let's go. Let's see the office. I'm just so excited. All right, y'all. I've made it to the office. It's looking a little bit crazy because everything was moved over here while we were gone. We also got new furniture stuff. These chairs are the old podcasting room chairs, but they actually like stained so poorly and like they literally were only sat in during the podcasting. It was actually crazy. But I'm going to eventually get them reupholstered. I just think that that might be really expensive and like take a lot of time. So, we'll see. But I'm going to keep the chairs in the meantime. I ordered this. Oh, yeah. It does look cheap. It looks like plastic. Okay. I ordered this rug cuz it was like the color scheme that I wanted for the office, but I was just curious cuz it was so inexpensive. The reviews were very hit or miss, but I don't know. We'll see. I have to show y'all my desk. I got this on Facebook Marketplace. One of my favorite finds. Also, we are going to paint all the doors and stuff because that's just not our vibe. So, if you guys have good paint color Rex, let me know. Anyway, over here it is so gorgeous. How perfect is this? And then oh my god, perfectly lined. It's amazing. It's a pretty small desk. Like I'm someone who typically likes like a big table, but we have big tables like we will throughout for like meetings and stuff. And I actually think that this is good. I want to get a really funky lamp. Like it is smaller, but it's a kidney bean desk. It's antique. I'm just so obsessed with it. And so many desks these days, they don't do drawers, which is crazy. So, I'm like, honestly, if I have drawers, I can just put stuff away, so I'll be fine. But I'm thinking I can't even really put books on here cuz it's like really small. But I do want to add a really funky lamp, something fun. And then I need to get a big like bulletin board sit where I have stuff hung. Um, also I want to do like I don't know what I'm going to frame, but I need to get frames all through back here. It's going to be great. Something else I thought of that's like just decor and of course like not actually the job. Oh, sure makes a lot of noise. Um, I got coasters that say K on them back in the day cuz I guys, jokes on me. At a certain age, I started just doing K is my initials on like monogram stuff or anything needs. I'm like, well, what if I get married and I have to change like I'll change my last name maybe and I'll have to like change my initials and then my monogram. None of that stuff works. And jokes's on me because now my last name is going to be Palma, so it's still P. Anyway, but I have these like K coasters that I haven't stitched yet. And I was thinking about it. I'm like, "Oh my god, it's going to be so fun to stitch coasters for my desk in here and do all the like different colors that I've been loving." So, I'm excited for that. That rug also, I don't even know if I can return it. So, I might just make that rug work. Guys, this is going to be greasy. Imagine right now if you and I are sitting here and there's these beautiful frames behind us and it's just just give me a couple months. Let me cook, you know. Hi. >> Okay. So, this is like my I think it was like a $200 Amazon rug, which that's like insane. Okay. Sorry for this size. And it's really the colors that I'm loving right now. Okay. It's It's definitely not like a nice rug, but it's not as cheap as I thought it was going to look. Like, here's the thing. Then you get up front and you see it's a print. It's not Yeah. I don't hate it. I don't hate it. And I also don't think I can return it. So, at least for the time being. And maybe I No, I like it. >> Move it underneath. >> Yes, like the other way. It's almost 5:00, so I'll probably leave soon. We did move some stuff around in the office. It's looking better, but it's going to be a process. It's going to be a true work of labor and love. Happy whip Wednesday, y'all. I'm back home from my beautiful, poor, perfect, perfect, gorgeous day at the office. And I just filmed my whip for TikTok, so I thought I would show you guys the stuff that I've been working on. First things first, I showed this in my last vlog, but this was a gift by this really sweet girl named Mary Grace. Over the weekend, she came to our popup in Connecticut and she had this canvas made for me, Date Forever. If you guys are new here, I met my fiance doing a dating challenge last year and he was date number four. So, when we got engaged, my Instagram caption was Date Forever. And I'm just obsessed with this. I loved the velvet. Um, this like stitch or like the look of this is kind of inspired by one that I saw Dorothy Stitch at Pennywin and I just thought it was so perfect. And they were like, "It's all very velvet." And very velvet is like my favorite thing ever. So, I'm obsessed with this and I'm going to send it in to get finished cuz I don't like doing irregular stuff. I normally finish my own things, but I'm going to send this one in just because it's so perfect and amazing. And this is going to be an ornament. I'm also almost done with the Stitch Queen. These are quick. The Stitch Angels. Got this in case they need a point. You can get a lot of these like everywhere. I actually like don't know who the designer is for the Stitch Angels. Does anyone know? Like I'm sure it's obvious. I don't know what this is cuz the tape's marking this off. I should just know this. But anyway, these are at like so many different LMS's and if you just Google it, like you can find them like pretty much anywhere. Next up, we have our AA Dolly. This one might still be available. We've been ordering these in like much much higher quantities cuz I'm trying to make it easier for everyone to get. So, this is our AA Dolly of the Month. She is perfect. Love her. Um, we do our Dolly of the Months, which is on the first of every single month we release a new limited edition Dolly. And like you have to like get it while you get it. Get it while it's hot. Like sometimes they sell out in like 2 seconds, sometimes 30 minutes. Like they like go really quickly. I'm going with a little diagonal mosaic stitch. have been loving that stitch lately cuz I wanted it to kind of feel like the mugs that are like a ripple like the to-go mugs. You know what I'm talking about? Like this. It's like the sleeve but it's actually the whole like to go mug. That was kind of my thought process with that. And I like the texture and I think it's kind of fun. Um I'm going to finish this and finish it into an ornament. I actually might send this one off to be finished because it's going to be a regular and I don't really like doing a regular. So anyway, these are like all my different personalities. Oh, and this is the needle minder. Look how cute she is. Anyway, all my different personalities obsessed. So, I'm really happy about this. I did this in like one night in six hours because after the popup and just everything we had going on last week, I was like, I'm going to sit and stitch and like not speak to anyone, which I was literally just with Charlie, so it was fine. But like just sit there in silence and stitch. And that's what I did. I was going to cook dinner, but our chicken thighs haven't thawed yet. So, I think I'm just going to shower, wash my hair, cozy up into pajamas, um get some more work done, and potentially needle appointment a little bit more. And then I will see you guys tomorrow. Um I'm really excited cuz I'm learning how to finish pillows this weekend. So, that'll be fun. I also did decide on some frames that are supposed to be arriving tomorrow. So, hopefully we can like start working on the gallery wall and the office. We will have to see. Sorry, all I'm doing is filming from right here all week. But happy Thursday. I have like Nancy Meyers soundtracks playing in the background. It's my dream day or dream morning. It's 9:45. I've been at the office for a bit. I had an early workout and I just came straight here. It's raining out. I'm dressed like a boy in my overalls. I have my iced coffee. I'm at my new Dream Office. And it's just so cozy feeling. Like it feels like fall and winter. And the Nancy Meyer soundtrack in the background is just really getting me. Anyways, I have a lot of like desk stuff to do. Charlie's actually setting up a lot of furniture. My assistant is having a bunch of other stuff moved here. So, we'll have some desk and or not some desk. We'll have some office updates today hopefully. And I'm just so happy. Like, I'm really just so happy. We need to I'm going to make this corner. [music] I guess coffee over here. [music] This one goes over here. That looks cute. I have to show y'all the cutest thing ever. So, I know we've talked about like the story behind Dolly, which also I've moved my Dolly door hangers to my door. The story behind Dolly. Let's just get you situated. I hate when those lights are glaring behind me, but I've been trying to fix it all day and it's not working. So, I might just stand like hiding this way. Okay. Anyway, let's just let's see if I can fix it a little bit, but probably not. Like, you guys see me making a good honest effort. You know, it is what it is. I'll cover one of them. The story of Dolly is that I grew up in a home that was like covered in these prints as did my cousins like all of them. I grew up with a mom who's an interior decorator and my grandma and her had is the professional seamstress ma and my grandma and mom had a bedding in the drapery company together. Um my aunt is an interior decorator. That's where my mom learned. Like it's just like it's in the family the home business and my aunt's house which is like the the one constant house I had in my childhood like my entire life. Like still to this day it's the one constant house that we've had. That's obviously not my house, but like in my life. And anyway, her house as well as ours was decked out, but hers is still decked out in this. And there's like no place that I feel more at home than my aunt's house. Like the way that I am with my niece is how my aunt was with me growing up. Anyway, this is just like a very meaningful pattern in our family because everyone's house was decorated the same. We all in different states. So, they just like decorated everything the exact same. And this was the print that I grew up with. So, when I was starting the home brand, I was like, I have to do some sort of like a nod to the roosters or the chickens or whatever. And that's how we ended up landing on Dolly. It's like a nod to the women in my family. And my assistant found this on eBay for us for the office. I will literally keep this pillow forever, like till the day that I die. I also want to get like I need to do something like inspired by this, but I want to get even like old wallpaper pieces, like scraps, and like have it framed somewhere for the future. But anyway, I'm just so obsessed with this. Like, so that's the story of Dolly and that is why this pillow is like everything to me. Anyway, we're unpacking some stuff, moving some things around. We did find a new couch, so that's being delivered today as well. Our dining table was delivered for working. It's the old one that I had from my living room. Not my living room, my dining room. Thank god I kept a lot of furniture that I've like switched out in the house because I was thinking one I was like of course like a potential office when I thought that was going to be way further down the road. But I was also like planning on moving a lot of the stuff like the extra coffee machines and stuff that I had from Nashville. I was planning on moving a lot of that stuff to our lake house but I just like haven't gotten around to doing it and there's just been like so much whatever. Anyway, long story short, it all worked out because I have all this stuff to move here and we're not having to I mean we wouldn't be able to like buy all this up front anyway. So it's not like we would have to be waiting anyway. So we can just have it now, which is good. So anyway, I'm obsessed with this. So happy. And Charlie is currently building a clothing rack for me in my office. And then he just built or he started on a little like guest bed setup in our like makeshift guest bedroom. [music] But anyway, I was also saying like, you know, when rooms just have like a good vibe to them, like good energy. I feel like you guys can feel that through the screen. This office, this room has very good energy. And a lot like the office in my house, bad energy. Doesn't matter what you do, it just has bad energy. [music] Very difficult, very dark, very just bad, bad, bad, bad. This one, perfect. Amazing vibes. Also, update on the rug. Like, sure, it's like kind of cheap looking, of course. I mean, it was only $200 and it's like a 9. It's like an 8x10, but like why am I kind of obsessed with it? Like, I like it. Oh, >> maybe not forever, but I thought it was going to be a lot worse and like I'm liking it. Okay, so we're in here. Ignore the chairs. They're not going to stay there. Um, but this is the clothing rack that I will have a bunch of our samples and stuff hung up on. And then older stuff will go away, like our farmers market tote that's actually that's on our site now. Our strawberry hat. These are so cute. Oh my god. So, so good. >> [music] >> It's 3:00 p.m. My friend Meredith is coming over. We are planning a dinner party that we're hosting together in a couple of weeks. I'm making some crackers. She's literally a private chef and I'm making like PB&J crackers. We have no food. We haven't grocery shop since getting back. I'm also making some tea, but we're going to go through and plan our dinner party. The next theme that I'm doing in my Nancy Meyer series is The Intern, which is a dinner party I've been so excited to do. If you guys haven't seen The Intern, it's amazing. It's a Nancy Myers TV. Not everyone knows that, but it's Annne Haway and Robert Dairo, and it's so sweet. And essentially like the core is like an agegap friendship if you will. And it's like an old man who really comes in like it's kind of like a father figure best friend to a really successful like entrepreneur woman. Very like girl boss era like nasty girl 2016 honestly like Sophia Maruso and Nasty Girl was probably the inspiration to this movie. But she like gets really close to this older man who's played by Robert Dairo. From that they form this like connection, this bond, whatever. And so like for the dinner party, I'm going to go into that wave. You guys will see cuz we'll like plan the prep process. But it's going to be amazing. I met Meredith because she actually did a dinner party for me. I don't know. She reached out probably like 2 or 3 years ago and we have just like stayed in touch and I've invited her to different parties. She's actually done like a sourdough event with a friend of mine before um at my house which is really fun. So anyway, that is what we're up to today. I'm really excited and she will be here shortly. So chill and it's hard. [music] It's kind of hard too because we only like we really don't even get anyone to [music] invite now. >> Like my grandma and her um now husband. >> This is like the best thing ever. >> Yes, [music] I rewatched last night. It's one of those. It's my comfort. It's actually one of my top rewatch movies. [music] Good. Okay. So when I think of like this is going to like this theme but like when I think of the red the um art or listen to [music] it >> or you can just listen to the podcast episode I did recapping it but basically it's this woman Parker who I think I should say her name but she talks about like the like how it helps students well but she's doing it for every 10 years but she was saying how basically who almost like who you don't invite is more important than who you do In order [music] to like in order to really curate the right night, you need to be so protective of the guest list and keep it and very intentional. And that is now like I [singing and music] know like for example like oh I'm doing like an garden thing and I'm like hey what's up like but [music] it's very like everything's intentional from like an actual posting standpoint cuz he's so into his handkerchief. I was thinking it'd be cute. I don't know if we're going to have the time, but if I could find out how to [music] do at the bare minimum, get everyone handkerchiefs and put it on their on the table. I like the frozen water. It's [music] funny. >> Yeah. Like I have so much my grandma's plates. [music] >> This is what I need cuz like on this normal one I'm good at, but you're really killing it today. Yeah. And if we don't cuz [music] like sometimes it looks I'll try this and then I think in worst case if it like doesn't cuz the shape the shape it's got is different than like what I've been buying for a personal look. >> We could [music] go this is like a very like coastal vibe. So it's not really completely the vibe that I mean I don't this is going to be too nice looking for whatever we do. That's the main thing. >> Yeah. So, there's stuff [music] like that that I can just tie together. >> Very cute. >> All right, y'all. We just finished the workday. I have some chicken thighs ready to cook. I have been using this. I didn't even actually follow this recipe today, but I mention this cookbook all the time. Best cookbook of all time. I really mean that. Every single recipe that I've cooked from here, we have cooked over and over and over again. It is so good. We just We all deserve to see my hair having a good hair day. Like, I just It was like my New Year's resolution to like start actually styling my hair cuz I'm just so lazy. And then it made me feel so much better. And I'm like, "Wow, I feel so put together." Whatever. And then I went to Nantucket and I started wearing it natural again. And now I'm like I like my natural hair, don't get me wrong. Like it's not like whatever. It just like I love a big bouncy curl going inwards on my face, you know? Anyway, I'm off to my favorite workout of the week. I just made some coffee to go. I woke up at 6:00 this morning and I started watching Earl Meets World. I watched the first two episodes while needle pointing. That reminds me, I need to grab my needle point bag. I'm playing a little crazy game of thread chicken right now. I need to finish this project by this weekend cuz I'm learning how to finish this pillow. Anyway, this is like all the thread I have left and I have one still on here. I think I might be one strand down. And I picked this thread. I'm doing a diagonal mosaic. That's like what I've been loving. Anyway, I picked the thread because it matches the fabric for the pillow. And like I might just have to I do still have the tag for the die lot, but if we don't have the dieot, like I don't have time. I have a class this weekend with my grandma. So, I'm just going to have to I guess forego the dialot and just learn my lesson. I don't know. All right, I'm going to the gym and then I'm also going to the office straight from there. I've been getting ready at the gym. Um, and I have literally four bags to bring right now. I bought this massive massive bag um that's like this huge like yellow butter yellow bag that is coming I think like end of the month. So then hopefully this will kind of like save my issues. But I'm all packed up and ready to go. Oh my gosh, it's so cute. [music] Wait, this is the perfect couch. $50, too. The cheapest of all of them. Oh my god, it's so good. It's so good. >> It's good to find. >> And this is like needle point pillows. Yeah, that's perfect for in such good condition. >> I know. >> It's so good. Back at the office. Um, we've made a bunch of progress, but also the new couch. I know you guys just saw it, but can we talk about the new couch? like everything. The only ice we have in this space is like this massive cube and it doesn't fit. Charlie, it doesn't like fit into my thing here. Oh, perfect. Just kidding. Sorry. Never mind. He's setting up some furniture right now. Oh god. Oh god. So, this is how I've been making my iced coffee. I actually have never told you guys this, but we earlier this year, my like friends and I that like we go they're not they're like my actual friends now, but my friends and I met at the gym. Today we made this whole thing where we're like we're going to do five pull-ups by like May 1st or something like without the band cuz we do them in class and I do lightest band. No need to brag. It took a couple years but now I'm here. Anyways, last night cuz we have a gym in our garage and last night last week I did two chin-ups and then I got so excited and I ran to my phone cuz I had to text her and tell her without the band and from the ground. And then last night I was like let's just see. Wasn't warmed up and I did two pull-ups. No band, nothing. Who would believe my eyes? It was unbelievable. And also just shows that I have been really being lazy. So, little life update. I can in fact do two pull-ups. In case you guys are wondering why I look really different or if I look like a bodybuilder or like something like that, it is because yes, I can in fact do two pull-ups unassisted. Thank you. From the ground. Anyway, um my friend Jack is coming over who's also a stylist. And sometimes we'll just go through and like have like a social media meeting for her. So, we're going to do that. Um, I need to get a bunch of like work things done. We've been prepping the office all day. All day. It's been like 40 minutes since we got here. And that's pretty much it. That's what's been on the agenda. I need to get I think I'm going to go to the fabric store because oh my god, Home Depot came. And you guys, look at this. I got these styrofoam boards. Now, I will link the Tik Tok that was sent to me. So many of y'all sent me the Tik Tok and this girl who's a genius got this like these insulation boards that are way cheaper than corkboard and covered it with fabric. So I'm going to be doing that. Um Oh. Oh, I don't like that. Not one bit. Oh. Oh no, no, no. That's not good. So I need to figure that one out. But I'm going to cover it with fabric. I got three of them. One for my office, one for the hobby room. This is going to be like our needle point wall and then probably one for the living room. But that is exciting. All right, guys. Office updates. We've organized and gone through a bunch of stuff. Um, but we have a lot to do. We did get this couch as you guys saw and it's the most beautiful perfect marketplace couch ever. $50. Can you believe it? So, I'm obsessed with her. I'm going to need to get I want to get a really sick rug. I just I'm like, as someone who has such a specific eye and taste for what I like when it comes to rugs, I'm like I would rather like do anything besides pick out a rug. I don't want to say what I would say what I would say like off camera. Like I would do anything besides pick out a damn rug. Okay. So anyways, need to figure that out. And then also I'll probably do like two chairs maybe ottoman situation cuz I don't want to close this off. So it might be like I don't know. We'll figure it out. So love that. And then we got those like fabric cboard things that we're going to do. One will go this way and we'll keep it here. And then over here this is my old dining table as you guys know. And we'll add the leaves. will be longer. And this is kind of like where we work at like as a team. I'll probably eventually replace these. I don't want them to have a back cuz I want them to just like sit under here so it doesn't really take up as much space. Eventually, we will paint all of this. So, oh, this is a little coffee section cuz I had so many extra coffee machines from like Nashville and just like Nesp like doing deals with Nespresso. Like I have so many extra like that's not even the one that's like in my house. Um, and I normally like give them or donate them or give them to friends or whatever. So, I think we're going to keep one. We'll probably like donate or ask maybe we should even ask like one of like our friend of mine [laughter] people friend of like customers um if they want one. So, anyways, we have this. I'm really set on making this kitchen like the best snack selection in town. So, I want to have it all organized. I want to have like the drinks of the best drink selection you've ever seen. All of that stuff. Um we'll get there as time goes on. And then out here, we moved this over here cuz we need it for a shoot that we're going to do here. So, that's there. And then over here, I think I told you guys already, but we are getting chickens. This is not happening immediately. It's going to happen like when we figure it out, but I'm going to have a chicken coop out here and it's going to be perfect if you guys have any experience. I've been talking to a lot of my fellow chicken lovers slash my friends who are actually like chicken experts and have chickens and the one thing that they've all said is like make sure you get a ce that you can walk in. My friend Jensen in Nashville, I vlogged in her house um a couple times probably last year when I was living there. But she has the most insane chicken coop I've ever seen. She like painted it and it's perfect. It's beautiful. It's like an Nancy Meyers home. It's insane. So honestly, maybe I should just like follow her lead. I should text her. Anyway, I am doing a chicken coop. Long story short, we're probably going to get like four to six chickens. I'm really excited. I can't wait to come out and feed my chickens and hang out with them and just have them roaming. It's going to be perfect and I'm really excited about that. So, we'll figure that situation out. Going back inside down this hallway. Oh, we were also talking about it. I wanted Well, I guess let's go into the hobby room first. So, this is going to be like a friend of mine Alan essentially and/m room. So, I'm going to have a dresser up here, but we're going to cover this with fabric and then put it on the wall and have it be an elegance of all of our canvases. We have a really cute dresser in the back room that will be perfect for here. And then that'll be storage and we're going to have this be a majong table. I'm going to get new chairs. We're going to hang the majong mats up. So, it's just easier and it's going to be really helpful for like getting content. So, that'll be perfect. But what we were saying is it would be really sick to frame our scarves like how they do with like Hermes scarves um at Frame Bridge except for like because they're so big. We need to steam these. Obviously, these have been sitting in their package like I this is a sample. I don't even know if this is like the right one. But anyway, like I don't know if it's the right scale. I'd have to look. But long story short, need to get this framed. And then also even if we did like Dolly's Garden and we had them like down the hallway, how fun would that be? Like how cute. This is my favorite print we've ever done still to this day. It's so good. So that is something. We also have the Nucket one which like this actually might be my favorite. I'm stitching this currently on a 10x10 18 big project. This one as well, but obviously this is just more summer. So anyway, I love these and the idea of like framing all of them and then having them up in the hallway. But the problem is I had to pick like our three probably like core classic ones, which we do have like one more. So, that's like more of a core in my eyes. Um, anyway, lots of stuff. This is up for our birthday collection. I cannot wait to stitch all of these crowns. Like, this is everything to me. And lots of stuff coming up, but it's going to be really helpful just to be able to like actually like make Tik Toks where it's not all in my house. Like, just like for branding purposes, it will be so much better. Oh, we need to get I eventually want to redo all the curtains, too. So, like I'm going to like for the time being I'll probably just get like curtain ties to make these cuter and then I want to paint. I want to wallpaper. I want to do the whole thing. But I need a friend of mine to wallpaper. So, that'll take a second. Um, okay. In my office. So, you guys have seen pretty much all the updates already in the vlog. I really don't need to share anything with you guys. I've already shown you guys this stuff. So, this is my office as you guys know. Down here, we've already put stuff in the attic. This is the couch that we need to move back. And then Charlie is hard at work building this um Murphy bed. >> So that's really cute. Um this is where we're gonna keep the Murphy bed just for when we need like a guest room. The thing is we found the cutest couch that had a pull out bed yesterday and I was like, "Oh my god, that would have been perfect." Literally perfect, but also no, that would have been perfect and it was cheaper. Like it actually is like making me kind of sick. But it is what it is. So anyway, that'll be nice. But it wouldn't have fit there. We were trying to like utilize the space to the best of our ability. What we could have done looking back I'm like really going back and forth. What we could have done looking back would be if we like hung stuff on photo backdrop for like ecom stuff. That would have been so much better now that I'm thinking about this. I think you had that thought but there was a reason that you didn't do it. There was some reason. We we said that when we literally first looked at it and there was a reason that you were like I don't want to do that. I don't remember what it was but you said you don't want to. I just know for a fact he was going to be like, "Yeah, that would be nice." Like, cuz you have everything hanging. It's too late, right, to return this? It's too late. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, we're going to stick with this for the time being. >> There's still space. We can find somewhere. We We can. >> But like actually for shoots regardless, we should do it. And then like if we need to move that bed, but we should get a rod right there and then we can put like fabric and back down. that would just be easier to have that up all the time versus when we have shoots or ecourses that we're filming or whatever. We're not filming a ton of ecourses, but it would be cute cuz this would also be a cute like this room is kind of like a studio room, I feel like. So, you could also even like what I'm thinking is we just move like this dresser's going in there. This dresser we really don't even need. We can move without the living room for the time being, but if we were to put this like over there and then we just move this. The only reason we did this cuz we didn't love the design of this for contacts. So the only reason that we went with this was because it fit here. So cuz we're trying to like make use of the space, but now I was like, well, yeah. Anyway, you know, means I'm going to lose some. So anyway, those are the office updates. Currently this weekend, I'm planning on getting all the frames for my office for that back corner behind my desk. I'm going to get fabrics to like staple onto We need a steamer for the office to staple onto the boards. I'm going to probably find like a million beautiful Facebook Marketplace where we've gotten like literally everything and then figure it out. I'm just thinking of the couch that we could have and the backdrop makes sick. Okay, well [laughter] that's fine. Just got back from the fabric store, guys. And okay, I thought this was going to be way more of a green and it like in this lighting it's showing a little bit more yellow, which I obviously love yellow, but I was thinking green and I went with I don't know. It's like like it looks Does it look green or yellow to you guys? It in the lighting in the now it looks more green then it kind of looks khaki. I don't know. This is the one I was thinking we would do for like the LNS which I'm not married to any of this. The good thing with this project is because it's a lot of fabric. If we either Well, also I'm like dying at the difference between like my legs and whatever. This, by the way, if you can see the color difference, the only reason that I look so tan on my face is that um Patrick Star. Is it Patrick Star? What brand is it? The like tanning self like setting spray. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's like over Tik Tok shop. It's unbelievable. And when you put it on, like you can seriously like sculpt your face and it I'm going to link it for you guys. It's so good. Obviously, it was a little bit crazy right now. Um, but it's really, really amazing and it just makes me like look like I like really tried on my makeup and got ready and like it obviously gives you color and it's so good. So, I will have that linked anyway for out here. So, I kept going back and forth and doing something crazy, but then I was like, we already have that out there. And I feel like this is probably like it's going to be on that wall, but I feel like that's probably a better option to have over here. And like I like pattern on pattern and this isn't going to be like right next to the couch. Doesn't matter. Like we'll have a bunch of other stuff. So like that's what it's going to be for now. And then for my office now this one's going to be crazy. It will because it's really the most beautiful fabric ever. But you'll see what I mean for like a corpor like it's going to be so busy. Like it might be like photos and notes and stuff and then I'll have but like look at how beautiful this fabric is. So, we definitely got way too much, but I was like, look, maybe I want to make pillows out of it. Lucky for me, it was Labor Day sales. The thing is, I think it would fit more this way, so the fabric would actually be sideways. So, I'm going to have to figure this out. We'll cut it and like that will be like a weekend project probably. But, let's go see what color this fabric decides to be in this room. Jack just left. We had a fabulous time together. It's green, but before it was yellow, and before that it was green. So, I don't know what to tell you guys. I do not know. I need to run to the Needleoint store in downtown McKenna Stitch on the Square which sells friend of mine now. By the way, my nail I need to get this done but I haven't done that. I'm playing a really unfortunate game of thread chicken. I'm almost done and I need to have this canvas completed by tomorrow cuz that's my sewing lesson for when I'm finishing this canvas. And the store, the needle point stores, the color, by the way, it's silk and ivory and it's pear. It's like my favorite light green right now. It's really beautiful. It's kind of like a pistachio green. Anyway, I'm hoping to I got it from them, so I'm hoping that they still have it. If not, I'm like, okay, I'm screwed for my class tomorrow. And then my niece has a soccer game I'm going to go to. And tonight I'm getting dinner with friends. So, it's just feeling a little bit like fall. Even just like the vlog going and getting Starbucks. I had a pumpkin spice latte yesterday. I really never have Starbucks unless I'm at the airport now. But Jack brought me a pumpkin spice latte yesterday and I'm like, "This is this is the spirit." Hi everyone. Happy Sunday. I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for this vlog camera cuz I lost it. I got the frames yesterday. Great updates there. We'll get into that later, but I wanted to show you guys really quickly. I'm heading out to my first official sewing lesson at MGA's. My sister, who's my steps sister, not Maddie, Alexis, um, and I are taking classes from her. We're really excited about it. And I have Charlie, will you get my I have a sewing machine from when she was teaching me forever ago. Um, we were quilting. This is prenaled points. This probably like 6 years ago. And then I kind of like fell off, but I really want to be able to finish my own pillows and finish my own door hangers. And I feel like I would just be doing myself such a disservice if I didn't like take the time to learn from her because she is literally a professional seamstress and has specialized in pillows her whole life. So I have no excuses at this point. Still need to get my nails done. Last night I went out to dinner with some friends and then we got some drinks after. So I am like slightly hung over. I think I had like four drinks total and I'm unwell. So I'm having a energy drink. This is like my third energy drink of the day. The other two were coffee. I'm not drinking like straight up energy drinks. Anyway, okay. I wanted to show you guys this. This is from Welsh Designs. It's a life bag. So, she reached out and was like, "Do you want something custom? I'd love to like work work with you or do something or whatever." And I was like, "You know what would be fun is if we did some sort of life purse, like how men have life belts, if you guys don't know in the Needle Point world like men will get I stitched one for my dad earlier this year, but they'll get a life belt, which is just like little icons that are meaningful to them." So, I was like, it' actually be really fun if we did like a life purse, you know, for me. So, she did this. It says Palama, which is going to be like my married last name. Has both the dogs plates, hydrangeas for Nucket for date number four, Charlie Texas, my honor bar margarita, which is the culprit currently as to why I'm not feeling great. All of this stuff like it's just really cute. And then I asked her on the strap to do like different houses like from like Nancy Myers movies that are just like really cute cuz I couldn't think of what I wanted on the strap and I was like honestly like that's the most me thing. And then look, Roseell Cottage. Like, how good is that? You can also like take the straps off, wear it as a clutch. She also gave me it came with a liner. Anyway, she I believe is offering these as services. So, if you guys want your own life purse, um I will have her Instagram like linked down below. She's so nice. She was so sweet to work with and I'm just so excited about these things. I think I'm going to use like fuzzy stuff or whatever on the dogs. I might color swap some things and I'm like if I end up stitching the whole thing or I might want to do like stripes or maybe I just won't and I'll just leave the background and I'll just stitch the stuff to paint. So I really don't know like what color direction I'm going to go in. But it's beautiful. I'm packing it in my needle point bag cuz I know that my grandma's going to want to see that. The Yeah, like there's just it's kind of like a shrine at this point, you know, in the garage where you can't see them. So, anyway, we are off and I'm really excited cuz I think my mom's going to come over early tomorrow. I'm hosting something for Labor Day, which is like our pre It's like our fantasy league thing situation. So, I'm going to audition some appetizers for football season. Um my family's coming over. My friend Tasha's coming. Um I think they'll actually I might just see if anyone's come and whatever. But that's what we're off to doing today. We made it to Ma's and she's all set up for us. We're really excited. And then I'm going to take them through your little hobby craft room. This is really like her work room, if you [clears throat] will. But she has these. She said she created them herself. This is IKEA stuff put together. And then she went on YouTube and they were all doing it. She's like, "Wait, I thought that was my idea." [laughter] >> Can you believe it? I know. >> It was my idea. I've had these for like five years. [laughter] So, but you can make them with eight bins instead of three. >> This used to be a bigger table back in the day, but then she put this in here for organization and whatever. So, we've got lots of organization, lots more organization over here. And because I like to quilt, we're going to go, and this is one of their suggestions, is to get two hollow doors from IKEA because they're lightweight and you can pick them up. You get the length you want >> and you separate these. You put one there and you put one here. Put your doors on there and then you can quilt. >> Very smart. >> So, I'm going to do that. >> That's really nice. And then you guys have been back here before, but everything's so organized. Like, this is amazing. This is what happens when you find love and you have someone to help you with things. So what I saw I've seen a bunch so there's obviously a billion ways that we can do this but I I want to try this one too cuz this is a good one to prep. This journal I'm using this like OG Hot Smart Rich back in the day. I die for Maggie. Okay, I think there was like one other thing I wanted to do. Let me see on my menu. Oh, mini load of potatoes. That would probably be better. I'm auditioning these to see if they're going to make them into the recipe journal. Okay, I am definitely doing the most. I don't need to audition five different recipes. However, I did wish I had started this sooner cuz I'm trying to find like new recipes in the rotation for appetizers for Sundays because I'm hosting with our friends a bunch of football stuff and like obviously I live in Texas like our life revolves around football. So anyways, I am going to try five different things, but some of them are so simple and easy, and I just want to see like what we like the best, and they're very footbally. So, I'm doing the savory s'mores, the shakuderie dip, the pickle tacos, the cheesy stuffed garlic bread, bullet rolls, like in the shape of a football, and then mini loaded potatoes. All of these are like very, very simple and quick. Um, and my sister's bringing over another dip. We need to get drinks. I don't think anyone's going to want to be I mean, yeah, they will. It's my family. I was going to say I don't think anyone's going to want to be drinking, but I do take that back. So, I wish more than anything it wasn't 100° out and we could use my patio right now cuz wouldn't that be so nice? We have my family coming over, some of Charlie's family coming over. Just getting it all together. Y'all, I forgot how much I love Sprouts. Like, it truly just brings me back to some honestly some of my best memories in my 20s. Not because it's like Sprouts, but like the hosting aspect of it. Just being in there like just puts me in the best mood. I haven't been in so long cuz we've been ordering groceries and we just like haven't been in town. So, I've like not really like taken like a true grocery store situation. We spent so much money. Like, oh my god. But I haven't been home consecutively in like months. So, we had a lot of stuff to stock up on. Anyway, what a fabulous day. I'm going to get my nails done. Charlie's taking the groceries home. And then I'm going to get back and get to cooking. I'm back. I got my nails done. They look way better. So, now I do have all these photos back that I got from Hobby Lobby, which of course I like. I prefer the look of framebridge for example like frame brbridge frames to sides but I will say for like what I spent which I'm not able to buy this amount of frames and framebridge stuff it was great it's basically a shrine of like me and Harrison and then Sophie and there's some pictures that's like Charlie with my nephew Matteo at our friend's giving Harrison most of these actually are Harrison you just can't see um anyway so it was a really good like see how nice that one looks like very Harrison in. Oh my god, Charlie, these are the best ever. We got so many snacks, which is why we I was telling them how we accidentally spent the most money I've ever spent ever in my life at Sprouts today, but it was actually insane, but whatever. Um, we needed to stock up. So, anyway, I'm going to go through because I have extra ones and I got all of these frames from Anthropology to make sure I have like a different I wanted to be very eclectic. Like, there's really the reason the way I make everything work together is that it's very maximalist and if I like it, it works. Like the same thing for this plate wall. Like you just don't really need a theme necessarily. It's just like if you like everything and you bring it together, it's going to work. And that's kind of like my vision with all these frames. I got them from Anthropology. I thought these were all really cute. Like there's some of the fabric frames. I love a fabric frame. And then I love I love anything dams and matter. If you guys have been seeing I'm sure you guys probably have similar like 40k pages. The dams and matter I don't know if they're ads or what they are. That one coat I remember in the New York vlog when I said this is like clearly a dams and matter dupe. It's like that original one with the dams matter one I want so bad and they're just so hard to find. I do know that Newly has them though, so I'm like I'm wondering if I can get it from Newly. Anyway, really cute striped frames. I love all the different colors. I do worry cuz some of these are really big. Like we have a wide variety of sizing on the frames, so I'm kind of like h is this going to work? And like we're just going to make it work. These I've actually had a couple of these in the different colors from Anthro. The thing about buying picture frames is that a picture frame like you will use forever and ever and ever and I will always make new use of this stuff. So, I'm happy to have any of them because I like all the different vibes isn't probably my favorite one. Like this is the best. But since like with the hosting closet, that room specifically or closet has to be so eclectic and so maximalist because it is just like the definition of maximalist. Um, and there's a lot of different like vibes and themes and tablecloths and all that stuff there. So anyway, this one's polka dot. This one is another fabric. These are like my favorite, like I said. And then, oh, I oops. I guess I accidentally got two of each of these, which is fine. So, anyways, what I need to do is go through and these photos because I had each photo printed in three different sizes cuz I just like couldn't decide. Oh, I think I did organize it to where these are the ones that still need to be framed and then these are like extras. Yeah, I think so. We'll figure it out and just go from here. [music] So, I filled all of these with photos and then we have taken down every single photo here. We're only keeping three that were originally here in here. The other ones have moved to the office. So, [music] because this is a gallery wall that's not meant to like be done all at once. It's supposed to be like added on to as time goes on. What are you doing? >> Adding to the >> Yeah. I mean, the problem is we have so many frames. I'm kind of like it might actually be done. But at this point, I don't know what we're going to I [music] don't know. We'll start like off centered and it doesn't need to be super planned out because again, it's going to be added to as I've hosted more and more events. So, yeah, it will never look finished at the end of the day. Or maybe it will and then we'll just swap photos out or whatever. Um, but we're going to get going. [music] This is about to be Harrison Wallace's favorite place on earth because it's basically a shrine to him with how many photos I have of me and him. It's like his dream come true. It's literally a Harrison Wallace shrine. So, yes, this is my hosting wall, but it's also just like an ode to Harrison who's the greatest man alive. And he's just I already told him I was like, "It's literally a shrine." He goes, "Love, fab." He's going to be obsessed. I'm kind of like at odds here because it's going to look unfinished. So, I'm like, I don't really know what to do about that because it won't be done. I mean, I besides just like tell you guys every time I like post it or whatever. But, we're just going to like start and as time goes on, we'll add. But, this one is from our garden. It's so sweet cuz like even looking at these pictures, I'm like, I love this house and I love my life. There's only a couple. I do have like two or three photos printed from the dinner party that I hosted with Brley King that was we did that in Nashville at Brley's house and it was just such a good memory for me that I still wanted it here even though this wall is really supposed to be like dedicated to the memories of this home. But anyway, this one was from our Ina Garden birthday dinner that we threw we threw her a birthday party earlier this year. If you guys haven't seen that video, it's one of my favorite videos I posted on YouTube. And this one is from a serial hobbyist dinner that I hosted, which is so fun. And our friend Taylor Ben Paladino, he's so talented. He's a watercolor artist, um, graphic designer. He like does like everything and he has like beautiful stationary and whatever. He made this maong tile for the event, which is like what I need. Like Pilates Princess, Charlie, everyone came as like their they dressed up as their hobby. And that was one of my other favorite parties. Like I would think the top three that I've ever hosted would be Serial Hobbyist, AA Garden Birthday Party, and then Gilmore Girls Friendsgiving, followed closely by the Celebration one, which is a smaller one, and that one was really fun. But anyway, we're going to get going on this. [music] Like, I know it's really high and it's going to look insane, but like the whole wall is going to be that. A friend of mine turns three, which technically actually we turned three yesterday, but I can never remember our birthday correctly. Like all the best memories of this house. Oh my gosh, my friend Anna. Like they're just so fun. We are mid prepping for everyone coming over. Oh my gosh, that was ice. Okay, sorry. My god, I have guests here. Anyway, making five appetizers, three of which are done. This just needs to go into the oven and shakurerie dip, pickle taco, shakuderie s'mores, and then I have this like garlic tear away bread that's going to be a football whenever we finish it. Oh, oh my god, forgot about the potatoes. And we're making crispy smashed potatoes. [music] All right, y'all. It is now 9:00 p.m. My family left a couple of hours ago and then one of my friends was over here and we were just like talking and catching up and whatever. Um, did a bunch of different recipes. Those are all going to be on like Instagram and Tik Tok. My face looks like I've been crying. you haven't. But um we did a ranking and everyone agreed that the cheeseboard dip was the best one, the shakureri dip, which is just basically like a shakureri board in the oven. And it was really, really, really good. Also guys, I got the most exciting PR package. I also took all my jewelry off cuz I need to clean it. So I need to make sure I don't lose anything in here. Anyway, got the most exciting PR package from Annie Myers Shire. I don't know. I think that's how you say her name. But I just I realized I've never said it out loud before. Nancy Meyer's Daughter, she has a book coming out and it's so good. And we were going through it. Um I don't think it's out just yet. If it maybe it might be out by the time this book comes out. I'll link it. Um but I went through the whole thing and it's so good. It's about her like house renovation. She goes through and gives you like exact paint colors and there's this one page that I don't want to show it cuz I don't know if I'm like not supposed to. Um but there's this one page where they show like the floor plans. That's sick. Like it's a very very very cool book and I just love it. It's called This Oak House. It's beautiful. This is the house on it. Like it's just so beautiful. I love this book and I'm taking it to the office cuz I'm doing a wall of design books there and I'm really excited about it.
