Um, >> well, you said Clay first. >> Well, I felt like Jax was like the main character, but it was almost like he was the main character to trick the audience, but the story was a lot grander and it was actually about these other characters, you know, and um, >> but you know, that's what makes a good show, the ability to like transform itself over time. Kind of like The Walking Dead, how it, >> you know, the You know what I'm trying to say? >> Switch main characters a lot. Yeah. >> Yeah. And for a while it seems like the whole thing really revolved around Terra cuz you know we have the whole the whole MC, right? and we have all the gun business and all that and then we have the drama of being like the sole distributor of like the guns and um or you know you're the one who's running the guns and supplying them to everyone and and I love that story and that story is really intense and it always leads all this bloodshed but these characters are sort of part of that lifestyle so you don't really feel bad when they leave and then you get to Tara and her story is so wholesome and personal >> and um you know and it's about the kids and then you remove that from the show and I just don't know what it looks like from here. Well, it looks like a war because uh >> you know, Nero switched sides basically and then the Mayans killed the one niner. So, that's just going to be a lot of drama. >> Yeah. And all that's probably going to come to a head next season. But >> do you think we'll have a time jump? Will Jax go to jail? Do you think we'll pick up right where we left off? >> Well, Jax is not Jax isn't going to turn himself in now. There's no reason to. Terra is not there anymore. So, he's not going to turn himself in and go serve high. But there's Roosevelt there dead on his floor. What? >> Yeah. But turn in Gemma. Turn on Gemma. >> They don't know Gemma did it, >> man. If they got half a brain cell, they'll put it together. >> Her truck was there. I mean, Unter's truck was there. >> Like, they'll figure it out, >> right? >> Uner needs to do the right thing and he needs to essentially testify against her because I know the show didn't exactly say that he knows what's going on because she didn't spill it to him, but I feel like he has an idea. But then again, if he knows what just happened, would he be so cool with it? because he did love Terara, too. >> Yeah. And he loves the boys. So, like, but that could be I don't know. >> And he's ethical. >> And there's only so far you can go until he's not really down with it. And I feel like killing Terra, especially in Cold Blood, would be well beyond what Unswer would be willing to, I guess, tolerate. >> Yeah. >> So, I don't know. >> So, we think, but we don't know what what the boundaries are when it comes to Gemma. So >> maybe Uner thinks that she just had like a drunk like a drunken stouper all day and just came home and just needed somewhere to like I guess lay her head, you know. I hate that. I hate how Uner enables her so much. I think the problem with Gemma is she's always sort of >> got away with everything. >> Well, she's always sort of played this persona like I'm sort of a badass and I'm this and I'm that and she's so snarky and she just keeps getting away with it and it's like >> Yeah, she's got away with the ultimate thing, John Teller's death. Jack still doesn't even know that. >> And now it's completely washed because every person who knows is now dead. >> And all of it has to come out eventually. Like if this show doesn't give me Jax confronting his mother at the end of the show, >> especially about Terra, especially about killing her father. Like, you know, seeing Jax get rid of Clay was satisfying, but it was kind of sad at the same time because I just like the character so much cuz Klay's character is so good. But >> well, he was in charge in the beginning of the show, so it was like I don't know. He always felt in charge to me. >> Well, yeah, me too. I felt like he's like uh the patriarch of the show. >> But anyways, I just really need to see Jax confront his mom and like hold her accountable for this. I do not want to see her win. It has to be. >> What if he ends up killing her? >> He has to. That's what I'm trying to say. Like he has to do that. Cuz if he would have handled his mom from the beginning, none of this would have been an issue, >> right? >> Like I don't know. I mean, it probably would have played out the same way because everything that's happening with the guns and stuff still eventually would have gotten to Terror, obviously. But it doesn't help having to deal with Gemma. >> Yeah. >> Right. And I feel like without Gemma being in Jax's ear and constantly making him feel inadequate to sit in the seat that like Jon and Clay used to sit in in her own way, I feel like maybe he would have made choices in a different way that could have benefited his family a little bit more. >> Cuz I don't know, Jimma was all about the family, but she was really all about the club, too. Yeah. >> You know, she's kind of like Jax in that way. So, >> I felt like she's been less since Clay has not been in charge, though. >> Yeah. But I'm just saying she's still had her nose all up in it constantly. Like, she just can't like separate herself from it. Like, if I was if I was Jackson, I would have told her she's not allowed up there. Like, especially with the drunk driving thing, especially when my wife was upset about it, >> you know, my kids were involved in that. I just I'd have definitely drew a line in the sand at that point. But Jax was just never really >> needed her for leverage with play. So, it was like a complicated situation >> and it ended up he ended up losing that dynamic, you know, like >> he ultimately ran out of time and his mom did the ultimate crazy >> and killed Tara, which in hindsight I should have seen it coming. I mean, I thought that obviously I thought she was going to kill her a thousand times. >> I always thought it would be one or the other way. >> I didn't see Jack want to kill her. >> No, I'm not talking about Jax. I'm talking about Tara or Gemma. I always thought one of them was going to kill the other one because they always show Terra like throwing punches. >> Yeah. >> Like solid punches. And then they always show Gemma fighting. So I'm like those two are going to fight it out. >> And they have to. I mean there's been so much tension with them since the beginning. >> I just think that the way Gemma just lashed out and acted like that was just so crazy and radical. And the issue I have with her is she acts on behalf of Jackson, >> but like Jackson's not the one making these calls and that's that's her problem. and she can never really just get out of the way. Like I understand that's her grandkids and she should fight for her grandkids. I'm not saying that. But like on some level, you just have to know your place. >> But you should also know that your grandkids also would do better not here. >> And she's got a cell phone. Unser tried to call her like how many times? He was pissed when he walked in. >> Yeah. >> She could have picked up the phone and like communicated with Jack's situation or something. Like the inability to communicate just really bugs me in the show. >> And his acting on impulse like >> so much trauma could have been avoided. >> Yeah. But that's real life though actually. Like in real life, people don't really like think. In real life, people do crazy stuff out of impulse all the time. I mean, that's the story of like almost every prisoner. People who can't control their impulses and their emotions. And that's >> that's Gemma. And she either belongs in a grave or she belongs in prison. And and we need justice for Roosevelt, too, cuz I really liked his character. >> Um, >> and that was messed up. And now I feel like Juice and Gemma are going to be like a little click now. >> Why did Juice do that? >> I don't I don't know. cuz I was like maybe it was to save face with Jax because you know Jack's like but but then there he's covering something up so it wouldn't save face with Jack. >> Yeah. Anything that's going to betray him even more. >> Yeah, that makes no sense. That's what I'm saying. Like I couldn't think of a reason. >> Well, I guess from Juice's perspective, he doesn't know that um Jack >> He just needs somebody. >> Well, from his perspective, he might have thought, hey, I'm doing Jax a solo. She was trying to run out with his kid. >> Yeah. >> You get what I'm saying? But I feel like if you're someone like Juice, you can come to Jax and you can like spy on the situation and gather information and bring it to Jax and play rat all you want. >> Don't be killing people. Don't take it upon yourself to be gunning down cops. I know. That's what I'm saying. Like >> and Roosevelt's whole entire life is destroyed like and >> lost everything to Charming. Terra lost everything to Charming. That's just like Charming is such a black hole of a place. >> Yeah. And that those are those two deaths were perfect examples. It took everything from them. Everything. >> I feel like the main point of the show to me has always been I mean I guess at first it really started out let's try to make the MC legitimate. Let's try to move it from this horrible direction. >> It didn't start like that. It started let's run guns guns guns because Clay in charge. >> Well, yeah. But then the story also had this parallel story about how John Taylor didn't really want to do that. He was dropping those hands. So early on, like that was sort of the narrative that we needed to like get out of the gun business, right? >> And then it really shifted into we really need Tara to like gather some sort of like uh independence back from this club and she needs to be able to be her own person and live her life and try to be the best mom she can be. >> Yeah. >> Because obviously Jax is just in no position to do it. I mean, >> whether it's his fault or not, it is what it is. He just cannot do that. and um she ended up losing that battle and now I feel like I'm a little lost on the show. >> Like Wendy has to get out of rehab and take over obviously, >> but Wendy's been so unlikable throughout this series. I just can't root for her. Like I can't find a good reason to root for her. >> I was rooting for Harden until she relapsed, but that's Jax's fault, too. >> Yeah. [ __ ] I don't know it. I don't know. I'm not going to cast judgment on it. I just feel like I would, you know, Tara was willing to put it all on the line for the kids and Wendy can't stop shooting drugs. So, it's just hard to like rationalize that for me. I don't know. [ __ ] If you've been through it, maybe you can rationalize it better than me. But I just I have a really hard time wanting to see Wendy, you know, in custody of these kids over Terra, you know, because she just hasn't really been there. She sort of skipped out on all the trauma. I guess >> that is true. But I pick Wendy over Gemma. >> Oh, yeah. Well, yeah, I do, too. I pick I pick anybody over Gemma. I pick uh Bobby over Gemma. I like Tig, but I don't like him that much. I ain't going to let him raise my kids. That's for sure. cuz his kids turned out crazy and they got burnt alive. Well, guys, I guess I'm going to leave it there. >> What a crazy season. Was it your favorite? It's >> hard to say, man. I feel like this show has been very consistent to me. Like I've got we've gotten a lot of comments throughout the show about it being repetitive. >> And I understand it's repetitive in terms of like we're at the drop point, we're at the warehouse, betray them, betray them. But the reality is is if you're in this business, that's just what happens. There's there's only so many things that happen in this business. So >> I think the show has been so consistently good, it's just hard for me to like pick a season. >> Yeah. >> To be honest, >> I just feel like it's just a continuous story. So it's hard like, you know, there's just good moments in every season. I mean, even when we went to Ireland, that whole season was a little odd to me, you know, but looking back, it was so good. >> It was fun. >> Yeah. Because everyone was also together in United. So, even if it wasn't my favorite season, that just made up for it so much. So, >> they had good moments together. When I feel like when the Suns have their little good moments in their clubhouse, it's kind of wholesome in a way. >> I feel like this was the best season just because like for example, season two, season one's probably always the best, right? because it introduces the idea that makes you fall in love with the concept good enough to watch the show, but then when you get towards the end of the show, like you've invested so much time that even if like Terra would have died in season 3, it's just automatically going to be better because we spent six seasons with it opposed to three. So, >> I don't know. I'm a prisoner of the moment type. So, I guess I'm going to go with this as being my favorite season. >> Yeah, >> this season shocked me the most, I think. >> Yeah, >> maybe. So, but then again, I don't know, man. Cuz like the seasons with Stall was really good. Yeah, >> Opie really made the show a lot better in my opinion. >> Yeah, >> it's been a ride.
