tonight. What were you most satisfied with? >> Yeah, the goals probably in the end. Uh but I thought we played well again. I thought we had some some good moments, some good football. Uh probably didn't at the end of it create enough at the end of it, especially in the first half, I thought. But uh but generally I thought we we done pretty well with the ball tonight. >> Going to ask you about Barry. Brilliant. felt like he had a really good summer all the games watching all he's taken that into the start of the season. What do you think's behind that? No, >> I think some I think he he said he was working with somebody in the summer back home who you know tried to change his mindset a little bit. I think that's something that I said he I think he found it really difficult last year which it does for a lot of boys coming in for on the first year from from overseas. I think it's even worse if you're a center forward because you know you got a lot of big decision to make and uh no he's generally he's been much better since he come back and uh I still think I like more if you think of the the one or two opportunities he had and he didn't score so I'm nearly annoyed that we didn't get he didn't do those ones as well and I know he get three goals but he got a couple of them really laid on his plate so uh I wanted them to score the other ones as well. Paul, >> how did you enjoy being back in the hall? >> Uh, really good. Really good. I love being back because I I was part of seeing the stadium get built from the first part right up the whole way. Uh, the whole development at that time of Preston was really good. It was club was in a a real forward momentum at the time. So, uh, you know, I want Preston to do well. I think they I think they're one of the clubs in this area. I always look at all the clubs whether it be Wigan or Blackpool teams around this area Burnley for example I've always had times in the Premier League. Premier Preston have never got there. So I hope sometime sometime before I go that there's a period where Preston get a chance to be back in the Premier League. >> Good just ask one more that's all right. Just James Garner obviously I think coming because I don't know. >> Yeah. >> How useful. >> Yeah. Well, Jimmy Jimmy, we we've we've pushed on. Jimmy's done really well. He's come back quickly from his hernia operation, so we pushed him on quite quickly and uh he was he was required tonight because we didn't have we didn't have Hayden. So, we we're just hoping that uh you know, we've not pushed him too fast, too quickly, but hopefully he'll be those minutes will help him a lot. He's got a little bit to to do yet, I think, before he's going to be back to back to where he was. And this >> David, despite TO's good starts the season, would you still be hoping to to make additions in that area before? >> Uh, well, we I think we definitely need to continue to make additions, that's for sure. You know, we thought our squad was quite thin last year and at the moment, I think we're still one down on if you if you take the way my numbers work out, I think we're one down from from where we were even last year. So, I still think we're short in the squad and I still think we're short in quality in some places. I need to try and add that. >> Mitch, hi David, just on Brenon Johnson. What did you make? >> I was really pleased because I think that everybody remembers Brennan probably when he's at Tottenham. I think he got 15 or 16 goals one season and plenty of assists. and to come on with 20 minutes to go. He made a great assist for for Tiero. A lovely slick pass across for him to finish and also he finished one himself. So I thought I thought that was more like the Brennan Johnson maybe people recognize and maybe what people have seen recently. So hopefully his confidence gets a big a big lift with that. And uh my plan was to bring him on generally a bit slower so that we could get him back up and give him plenty of confidence and ready to go. That will have done them. The world are good tonight getting those go that goal and the assist. >> How much do you feel that Harrison Armstrong's loan here last season has helped his development? >> I think Harrison's his loan here was huge for him last year and I keep repeating myself but I wish I didn't have to hadn't to bring him back actually because I wanted it for Preston to get better but we had such an injury crisis round. the boys were away at the African nations with a couple injuries and he'd been doing well and he was probably about ready to come back to us as well and I think he's shown at the moment that he's uh he's turning into a Premier League player and uh he's started the season really well. >> Okay, sorry. What is the situation like? >> Yeah. No, just the same. No problem. We've, you know, we've chosen at the moment not to use him, but uh he'll be he'll be used in plenty of games.
