Video summary
The host of the video, Nate AKA The Foot Accountant, begins by expressing his excitement for the upcoming release of FC 27 while wrapping up his time in FC 26. He discusses several recent updates and events within the game, starting with the preseason final whistle event. Contrary to hopes that daily attempts might refresh, the host confirms that the number of matches required is fixed at thirty total, meaning players must complete these specific challenges without a daily reset. Additionally, he highlights the new Evolution cards available, noting that while they offer high-rated 99 overall players with uncapped stats like acceleration and shot power, the community reaction to the latest SBC was mixed due to receiving a 98-rated Messi instead of the anticipated 99 version, breaking a previous yearly streak.
A significant portion of the discussion focuses on the "last SBC" that EA Sports has yet to drop, which would guarantee a 99-rated pack or player pick inside an SBC. The host argues that this is the final piece needed to truly motivate players as the current season winds down and the player base begins to decline. He suggests that while completing the existing 98-plus player pick SBCs is still enjoyable, the grind would be much more appealing if EA introduced a guaranteed 99 pull option, perhaps costing around ten squads or utilizing daily fodder packs. With only one day left in August before September officially kicks off the new game cycle, there is a strong desire for EA to release this specific content to give players one last reason to engage with FC 26 before transitioning to the new title.
Beyond SBCs and rewards, the video covers important gameplay news regarding FC 27, specifically addressing rumors about the "Bruiser" playstyle being massively nerfed. The host explains that while he had previously discussed potential penalties for spamming this move with a producer, recent reports suggest it has indeed been significantly toned down to prevent defenders from easily triggering fouls or stealing the ball. He also touches on the lack of an open beta for FC 27 compared to previous years like Call of Duty, expressing hope that future releases will include a weekend open beta to catch bugs early rather than waiting weeks after launch. Finally, he reminds viewers to complete their carryover objectives, such as winning matches in World Class and completing the Maradona challenge, to ensure they receive their rewards in the upcoming FC 27 season before signing off for the next video.

Hey guys, it's Nate AKA The Foot
Accountant. Welcome back to the channel.
Props to all of you guys who are still
grinding FC 26 right now in whatever way
that may be. Getting the preseason
rewards for FC 27, getting 99 rated
cards through Evos, or doing the pack
grind still. Props to you because after
yesterday, I'm just so ready for FC 27.
It wasn't like content yesterday was so
bad that now I'm only looking forward to
27. I just think I'm ready for that
game. Like my mind is already going to
the early game strategy, the preparation
videos, the how we're going to prepare
for the web app this year because of
some of the new things that are coming
into the game and maybe more tradeable
rewards and tradeable packs that might
actually make the web app worth being on
this year. That's the best time of the
year and that's really what I want to
talk about and we are going to soon. But
with all that being said, there is one
last SBC that would actually get me
excited on this game and I'd love to
complete it, but will EA actually drop
it? We're going to talk about that
today. Also, welcome to the new digs.
I'm sure the microphone isn't sounding
perfect. I haven't put up all the sound
panels yet. The background is still a
mess. This is not going to be the chair
that is here in the background for a
long time. But we are in the new digs
literally just from the upstairs to the
downstairs of the house. I'm excited to
get this set up and uh have some cool
stuff in the background there. But
without further ado, let's get into
everything that dropped yesterday on
Saturday cuz there was a couple of
interesting things. If you're new to the
channel, by the way, drop a sub, of
course. Hit the like hit the high button
if you've got it. All that cool stuff.
Now, let's get things going by looking
at the game mode that most of us are
playing right now. It is the most
important game mode in this game in my
opinion, the preseason final whistle
event. Our question yesterday was, will
the number of attempts refresh? Will
this go to 30 every single day? And the
answer to that is no. It is a fixed
number of 30 matches that we have in
total to complete this live event and to
get FC 27 rewards because of course,
it's still showing 25 out of 30 for me,
which means it did not refresh. I would
100% still get this done. I think it's
very possible to get done. 30 matches to
get five wins is very very doable on
almost any skill level. So, that was our
confirmation of that yesterday with
Saturday's content. Now, in evolutions,
we have ourselves a very nice Evo. I
know we're getting 99 rated Evo cards
now, but the stats here are what are
really really good. We're going uncapped
acceleration up to 99 shot power is
uncapped as well. Vision, crossing,
balance are going to 99, too, for all
these cards you're putting into here,
and you're going 99 rated, of course.
Bobby Charlton goes 98 across the board.
Pulisic goes to 98 across the board, as
well. That's what you're getting out of
this Evo here. Look at that Paul Pogba,
only at 96 dribbling, but that's
honestly okay because his agility would
still stay in a lengthy spot. Woo, what
a card. So, for a free Evo right there,
and only a couple of games to play, that
is a nice end game Evo. That's kind of
par for the course now. I think
basically every Evo that EA is going to
drop in this next 2 weeks kind of has to
take our cards to 99, unless it's like
an individual stat boost and it just
gives a plus one overall. That's where
we are at. Now, yesterday in SBCs, we
didn't get a 99. We broke the streak
officially with a 98 Messi. Guys, back
to FIFA 19, every single year before
this, we had a 99 rated Messi or
multiple of them. This year, we don't.
It's just the 98, and you can get this
SBC done for 11 squads, and it's
actually upvoted on Futbin. This
surprised me a little bit. 61% upvote on
a Messi card that has been super
obtainable, or at least a Messi card
with stats as good as this have been
super obtainable because of Evos. You
could have Evo'd up like 10 different
special cards of Messi, it seems, from
all the ones that are in packs all the
time to get a card that looks like this.
Alas, this is the Argentina kit Messi.
So, if you do want to get this SBC done,
of course, it is very craftable. But,
the big SBC yesterday was, of course,
the 98 plus player pick refreshing, and
I got it done, and we're going to open
it. I'm a little, I guess, disappointed
to see that this is not unlimited
repeatable or even like multiple times
repeatable per day. And, of course, if
you take a look
at the expiration date on this SBC as
well, it is out until the end of the
game. So, that tells me that EA has no
intentions of changing the
repeatableness of this. I guess they
could out of nowhere, but to me, this
looks like it's going to be seven squads
a day until the end of the game once per
day. Like, why not? Why not let the lads
just grind these to get the 99 rated
cards? I don't know, but we're going to
open it. I still like it. It is the most
fun player pick and the most must
complete player pick that we have right
now. Let's get a 99.
Uh a dupe.
Oh, King Cantona 98. That's a bit of the
problem I'm seeing with these as well as
as we get to do them more and more and
more, the duplicate 98s and even some of
the dupe 99s are going to become a
little bit annoying. So, again, it's
nice to have that, but at the same time,
I was kind of hoping that it would maybe
be less squads, and it would be more
times than just one completion per day.
Now, speaking of SBCs and trying to pack
99s, I think that is the one thing that
EA is waiting to drop, or I hope it's
the one thing that EA is still waiting
to drop on this game because every year
we end the year with a 99 rated
guaranteed pack or player pick. And, we
already have that in the season pass,
but they need to drop this as an SBC as
well. That is the one last SBC, a
guaranteed 99 pack or player pick inside
of an SBC is the last thing EA needs to
do. Now, how much would this even cost
if they were to drop it? Well, if
they're requiring seven squads for a 98
plus player pick, this one's probably
going to be like 10 or more. But again,
fodder's free, 85 by 10 grind, 86 by 10s
that we can do every single day. We know
this, right? The grind is easy, fodder
is everywhere. We would do it. We would
absolutely do it for a guaranteed 99
pack pull, even if that one's like you
get to do it once per week. Like EA,
just do it. The pack is in the code,
you've already given us those packs
through the end of the season pass, like
level 20 something, I think you can get
a guaranteed 99 pack and potentially a
99 player pick as well. There is a
player pick in the end of the season
pass that gives you just players from
the Spain World Cup winners team, but I
think that is one last SBC that we all
want that EA just need to drop. Because
guys, 10 Today again is August 30th.
There is one more day of August, and
then we are in September. And when the
clock strikes September for me, the
gears shift, and it is new FC time.
Right? Like FC 27, I know, it's been
close for a while. We've been kind of
done with FC 26. We've been in the end
game.
The number of people playing this game
is declining. My motivation to play this
game is declining. Just give me FC 27,
and that's why I think EA should give us
this 99 rated pack. We got 99 rated
cards and Evos. We're getting 99 SBCs
all over the place. We're packing more
99s kind of. Just let the floodgates
open. There's no more holding back, EA.
It's the last couple of weeks in this
game. Who cares? Let it go. I hope that
SBC is coming. Now, would it come today?
I doubt it. It They could just drop it
on like a random Monday or Tuesday. They
might wait to drop it until like this
upcoming Friday with the second week of
this preseason promo, which looks like
it's going to be the last week of any
promo inside of this game, by the way,
because it doesn't look like this is
going to be a three-week promo taking us
right into 27. Looks like EA is going to
start with their
less promo weeks, maybe early before FC
27, since this seems to be, like I said
again, only a 2-week probably cuz that
is what the website has said and it
doesn't kind of mention anything beyond
what is going to be happening after this
Friday. So, fingers crossed that an SBC
like that would be coming. Other than
that, you know the grind. We're still
doing the packs, still hitting the magic
wand, if you will, as well, using some
of those abilities out there to build
the packs super quick. And really, what
else do we have to look forward to,
guys, besides a 99-rated overall
guaranteed pack cuz we have 99-rated
everywhere else. Now, let's take a look
at content that could be dropping today.
And also, reminder,
if you want to trade, and again, just
flex that muscle, that's the analogy
that I've been using, flex that muscle
heading into FC 27, go do it. Like,
seriously, you're going to be like,
"Mate, it's so dumb. Who cares?" Right,
games dead. You're literally just
getting ready for the game that is about
to come out and that's an advantage that
you're going to have over others. If
you're flexing that muscle again and
thinking in that way of supply and
demand, I even find myself wondering
like, "Wait, how is the market going to
react because of this, that, and the
other?" And I'm like, "Well, we got to
think back to how it normally happens at
the beginning of the year." But also, at
the same time, think about the new spin
on things that's maybe going to change
this year. I mean, I love it. The
strategy of the early game is the best.
Now, what is happening today besides the
market that you could get involved with?
Chris Richards is expiring. The 94-plus
icon pick is expiring. Do we really care
what replaces that? Not super much of a
care unless it's like a 98-plus or
97-plus icon or hero-only player pick.
If there's something that high-rated,
that specific, I would be interested
because that would give you potential
for the 99 R9, the 99 Gareth Bale, and
even some of those 99s that aren't in
packs right now. If it was just like
99-plus Festival of Football or sorry,
97-plus Festival of Football or footies
icon or hero. So, that's one thing that
we could potentially
be getting today as a part of content.
That's a guess, but that is an expiring
SBC. So, I would look out for that. And
then we still have a number of 99 rated
that are expected to be in this first
week of preseason. We've got the
Anderson, Laquois, the Tonali, the
Beckenbauer, and then of course the
Lamin Mall and Pedri 99 rated Spain
players. Of course, a lot of people are
looking forward to that Lamin Mall card
and are expecting it to be pretty
expensive. He's a lot more expensive
than Messi, right? He's like 2.5, 2.6
mil in the market. Messi was less than
that. So, how much would that Lamin Mall
cost as an SBC? We still don't know the
answer to that one, but that's kind of
crazy that they didn't drop him as a
promo Friday SBC player. Like, I get it.
Diomande, big transfer. That's one of
the main parts of this promo is the
transfer SBCs. Sure, but also like Lamin
Mall, too.
I think that's the biggest name out of
all those SBC players there besides
Messi who dropped today, you know. Lamin
Mall, Messi. They could have dropped
them together. That would have been
cool. A fun, interesting way to drop
those two cards, but we'll be watching
out for that SBC today. I don't really
think we'll get too much else other than
that unless we do get a surprise of
something else in SBCs or evolutions. No
more FC 27 rewards to chase until this
next Friday. Once again, guys, don't
forget to get that objective done.
That's the whistle, final whistle
objective we were just talking about.
Team of the Year Nuno Mendes. That's a
fun one right there. So, yeah, that's
just a reminder to not forget to get
that one done. And then also, I know we
mentioned it in some short form content
just a couple of days ago, but don't
forget to get Maradona because Maradona
is going to be giving us some sort of
reward in FC 27 as well. It was on EA's
help website. They never really
publicized this and what the reward is
even going to be. Like, they haven't
even
told us that, but they said completing
this Maradona and playing one game in
the world's game mode, which is outside
of Ultimate Team. But if you play one
game in the group stages of that game
[snorts] mode, which is still available
on the game. I don't know why it's
spazzing off of me right now, but you
will be eligible to get some FC 27
rewards as well. So, again, that's the
motivation for me. Maybe pack a 99 here
or there, but get all of my objectives
done, get all those carryover rewards
done, and get into FC 27. Short video
today, guys. Actually, one more thing.
Speaking of FC 27, this tweet kind of
went out yesterday. Breaking, Bruiser
has been massively nerfed in FC 27.
Spamming from behind doesn't work
anymore, which we talked to a gameplay
producer, and I literally asked him that
question a month ago when I was in
Vancouver. Um I mentioned Bruiser. I was
like, "Yeah, everybody is not happy with
Bruiser in FC 26 because of how OP it
is, even after it was patched and uh
nerfed, like it's still crazy OP." And
he was like, "Yeah, one of the things
that we implemented this year is a uh
penalty to the defender
who is spamming Bruiser. Like your guy
could potentially even get a foul, but
we'll just try to like grab on a jersey,
and won't even get the jersey if you're
actually spamming uh that Bruiser
button. So, that is not a new piece of
information, in my opinion, but I don't
know what the Bruiser has been massively
nerfed part here. I don't know where
this came from. Um from my experience
playing 27, again, very early build, is
not final build. They probably were
still tweaking things. Um Bruiser still
seemed to be usable. It definitely
didn't seem to be as OP, but it did
still seem to be usable. Um even with
stronger players who didn't have the
Bruiser play style or play style plus,
like you could still get that animation
and get the ball off of somebody. Now, I
will be interested to see the counter to
that, which is like the new agile
dribbling or off-balance dribbling for
players that have 85 agility, balance,
and in-game dribbling stat um or more
because that seemed pretty OP. We saw
that in the trailer. We talked about
that in the trailer and I even talked
about that in when I was experiencing FC
27 gameplay myself. So, very interesting
to see how that goes, but this tweet
yesterday kind of came out of nowhere.
It sounds like there was another guy
YouTube video posted by the guide FC 26
tips and tricks
where this gameplay was kind of seen and
posted and everything, but I don't know.
I mean
it's kind of weird because we had the
beta. We were able to experience that or
some people will and now we're just kind
of waiting for the real thing to come
out. Back in the day, if you guys
remember this, there used to be a beta,
then there used to be a demo, which was
like you could stream it, you could
record it, I think if I remember
correctly, but it was free and everybody
played the demo and it was just
kick-off, but it was like everybody
could get their hands on the new game
before it came out. We don't get that
anymore. I wish they would do an open
beta as well because sure, yeah, it
would destroy the hype for the current
game, but why not run like Call of Duty
is doing right now, an open beta weekend
for
literally just 3 days for like Friday,
Saturday, Sunday. Just run an open beta
weekend and then instead of having to
patch the game
1, 2, 3 weeks and a month into the full
game being released. If you do an open
beta like that, you're going to find out
so many bugs because so many people are
going to be on the game experiencing and
playing the game in a different way.
You're going to find those mistakes and
find those bugs and you're going to be
able to fix them earlier like straight
away with a day one patch or a day one
update before everybody else is out on
the game instead of fixing some of those
things that could be super duper
annoying and detract from the playing
experience
2, 3, 4 weeks in. That's kind of the
thing I'm just thinking of after seeing
this and I want to talk to you guys
about there. So, that's kind of the FC
27 gameplay news that we have of the
day. There's really no other leaks
besides the SBCs that we looked at.
There will be a lot of information and
news, I'm sure, still to come about FC
27. Um you know, things about pitch
notes, things about play styles. We
still don't know all the play styles for
all the ratings. Like they've got the
ratings database up, but we don't know
is Claudia Pina going to have finesse
plus? Is you know, [snorts] who's going
to have what play styles, base play
styles? Who's going to have what play
style pluses? We don't know any of that.
Anyways, I'm yapping, guys. Have a great
Sunday. I will see you on a video
tomorrow. Might be our last FC 26 video
or maybe we'll have two more, we'll see.
And then we'll transition into FC 27.
Maybe we'll call it this. When the
September month starts, we'll transition
to FC 27. How about that? So, we'll have
a last FC 26 video tomorrow. And then
after that, whoop,
into FC 27, into the real excitement, at
least for me. At least for me. We'll
still be on 26, but like
27 mindset. Anyway, guys, have a great
Sunday. It's been Nate with the Can.
I'll see you later. Peace
out.
