WE COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED THIS ABOUT THE RAVENS DEFENSE! | IT'S A HUGE DEAL!

We already got millions of reasons to be excited for this upcoming Ravens season, but you know what? Let me allow you to have yet another one. Now, we know this defensive line, it should be getting a tremendous upgrade just from the personnel alone and certainly the coaching staff, but just to peek at the coaching staff a little bit deeper. SAID, "Another question, more of a comment. It was brought to my attention recently that Madab had 13 sacks in 2023. Yeah, that man balled out that year. That helped him get a contract. So, what you telling us that for, Jada? She said, um, that was when Anthony Weaver was the Ravens defensive line coach. And I said, "Oh boy, I like that. I love it." And I didn't even realize. So then I had to look it up. I said, "Well, when was Anthony the Weaver the defensive line? How long was he in the building for?" So, I found the following information. It said he was the Ravens defensive line coach since 2021. So, 2021, 2 and three. So, he's been with Nambdi Matab for the majority of his playing career. He literally got to see how and exactly why Nami Matab became Nambdi M. Well, actually, he went from Justin Matabke to being Nambdi Matabke and he went crazy. He broke out. So, now we have the 92 that we have right now. So, [snorts] with Anthony Weaver being back and him being our defensive coordinator. Oh, man. [laughter] [gasps] He And it ain't just it don't stop at Ni Mana BK cuz we got a big part of the reason why Ni Mabk also became Nabk. that being Kasa's Campbell cuz he was somebody that served as a mentor to Nami. He was somebody that served as an example to Nami and now he's back in the building too. So now Anias people's got to be looking around like, "Oh my goodness, I got Kas Campbell. I got Nami Man BK. I got Travis Jones. I can learn from them." And I I seen that those boys got paid. Oh yeah, I'm about to get paid too cuz I'mma work my way up. SO, THAT'S SUPER EXCITING. BUT IT doesn't stop there. She also said the following. She said, "With him being back and having someone like Jesse Mentor who did his thing with Adaf and that's our head coach and he's going to be like a head coach defensive coordinator cuz he's going to be calling the plays." But oh man, I ain't even talk about Trey Hendricks again. I ain't even say nothing about him. I ain't say nothing about Mike. I ain't say nothing about Zion. I a say nothing about our edge rushers. We only been talking about the interior of the defensive line. And that should be upgraded in such a big way. We talked about personnel, but from coaching alone, that's going to make the world of a difference. Boy, them Ravens. Boy, I can't wait, man. Uh, but anyway, she said, uh, having someone like Jesse Minton who did his thing with a way, do you think Mata Big could get close to 10 sex? Oh, she kept it humble. She said close to 10 sex. I think so for sure. I I I think that Jesse Mentor and Anthony Weaver, like you brought up and mentioned, that they can not just have this defensive line being disruptive. They should be able to have this defensive line just going crazy being bullies. Like really getting at like really really getting after it. Not like, oh yeah, we'll get to the quarterback. No, really getting after it. And we talking about pass rush, but also in run defense, too, because that's a big part of it as well. You can't have no pass rush if you can't stop the run first cuz the team, they just be running all over you. Now we are in such a good position with our defensive line and that can put us in such a better position with our entire defense. He [snorts] said, "Hope all the flock nation is doing all right." I was looking at the Denzel Ward news about being the highest paid quarterback in the NFL on a per year basis. He's getting 31 M. Really? He getting 31 mil per year? [sighs] Wow. That's crazy. these players, boy. I mean, and I know they they put their bodies on the line every single play, every single snap. That's a lot of money. Like, man, I still got some time to get to the league. Do they need somebody? Do they need a long snapper? They need somebody to punt a punt the ball, a kicker. Like, what? What you need me to do? Like, 31 M a year. What? I'd take half of that. I think a quarter of that just just to hold the ball like a long s whatever. Anyway, he said uh Marlo is getting 17. My point is 17 mil for Marlo isn't a bad deal at this point. He's still a top 20 corner in the league and a top five in the slot. Now, uh yeah, he got he just got to play up to par. And again, last year, the last couple years, so many of our defensive players, they went downhill. But I just I I really got to believe that it was because of the scheme. He said um in 2024 where he primary primarily played in the slot, he had seven interceptions including a game ceiling pick six against the Steelers. And he taunted a little bit which made me very heavy. Oh, see he liked when he talked that trash, man. Uh he said um forget the Steelers, man. This also got me thinking about Rocoan Smith. And to be honest, I think this is his last year in Baltimore. After this year, he heads into a contract year. And if he doesn't play well, he could get traded mid-season for the low. Uh when Teddy Buchanan comes back. Oh, you you think he could get traded like during this season? You ain't even talking about offseason next year. You talk Oh, I don't see that happening. Um I don't see that happening. next off seasonason may but during this n anyway continue he said we can save money by resigning Tren Simpson for the low end or restructuring Roan's deal so if we restructure Rocoan's deal that wouldn't be saving money at all that just be pushing it farther down the road it wouldn't be saving anything anyway he said he's a great player and he has been but he's not $20 million great so do you really consider him a great player then he's saying oh yeah he's a great player But he ain't $20 million great. So it doesn't sound like you really think that he's great with Rocoan Smith, what I'm really hoping that it was was a scheme because even like in that scheme in that that Browns game, that was my favorite Rocoan Smith Ravens game ever was against the Browns last year. That man flew. And again, even if he did not have that fumble recovery for a touchdown, even if you throw that out the window, you can't, but even if you throw that out the window, that was my favorite game for Rocoin ever because that man was literally flying everywhere. He never flown like that with the Ravens before. That man was everywhere. I couldn't believe it, man. I was like, that that's the Roan that we want to see every week. Anyway, continue. He said, "Buchanan played well last year and can eventually become the next Roan Smith for a lower price. Simpson has athletic upside and under Jesse Mentor, I believe he will strive." I believe that too. I agree with you there. Um, but yeah, so I I I I agree that I think Trent Simpson is going to price his way out, though. I think he's going to have a phenomenal season this year. I think Jesse Mentor is going to find a consistent role for him, something that he hasn't had for these past two, three years. And I I think he will make a lot of money somewhere else. But we'll see. He [snorts] said, uh, he's built like Derwin James. And for those sets where we have 4-3 defense with Hamilton back at safety, he'll be a real asset in pass coverage. Uh, run defense needs work, but once again, Jesse Mter has had a top five defense in the NFL last year with the Chargers. I can't name four players on the Chargers defense last year, and I live and breathe NFL football. Let me see if I can try. Did they have Joey Bosa last? No, Joey Bosa. Oh, yeah. Joey Bos was with the Bills last year, I think. Um, Derwin James Adaf. Okay. Um, defensive lineman like Lupatutu some I I forget his name. So, you know, I can't even count that. Um, did they have Dell Pman? I don't know. Oh, man. Oh, Khalil Mack. So, Khil Mack, Derwin James, Adaf Way. Oh, this kind of cheating. Aloh Gilman for a little bit. Just just for a little bit, but then we end up trading for But [sighs] I feel like Adaf that's kind of like a cheat code, too, cuz he was here with us first. But hey, he did he did his thing over there. Um [snorts] I So yeah, I'm I'm I'm struggling, man. I'm I'm struggling. So hey, I I guess me and you on the same page. Anyway, he said, "I think Rocoin would be a great asset for this year alone. Still not $20 million great unless he takes a pay cut. Maybe around a little less than what Aziz Alshah is getting at 17 mil. Rocoin should be out of here in my opinion. Sorry for the long message, but have a good one. Oh, okay. So, my guy, he sound like he's ready to move on from Rocoan Smith. He sound like he love him, but he sound like he looking at the business side of things, looking at the salary cap and all that. He like, you know what? I think we should spend that money in some other areas. Hopefully, Rocoan Smith could have a nice bounceback year and we could be looking at that 20 million like, man, that's cheap. Next question came from my guy Jeron. He said, Lamar has an agent. He said, what's up, brother? I had to do it. But I had to do it. My last question was, "He's my guy, don't get me wrong, but do you think because he doesn't have an agent, that's why the Ravens haven't put much attention on getting him help?" I feel like if he had an agent, they will push for this along with getting him paid. See, your answer was no. Well, because of your answer, I had to take this to Chad GPT. And I asked this question to Chad GPT. Okay, so [snorts] me versus Chad GPT. I'm going to let you know from jump. I'm probably losing that all day every day. But let's see what they had to say. Uh, he said, "If Lamar Jackson had an agent, what would his agent say to the Baltimore Ravens that would help him win a Super Bowl?" I want you to write a letter to the Baltimore Ravens as Lamar Jackson's agent. Somehow, we're going to have to get this letter to Lamar. To see Vashi area, head coach, Jesse Mannon, and Baltimore Ravens football leadership. I represent Lamar Jackson. But today, I'm writing as someone whose only concern is winning the next Super Bowl. Organizations spend generations searching for a quarterback capable of changing the course of a franchise. The Baltimore Ravens already have that player. Lamar is not a project. He's not a question mark. He's not a quarterback who needs to prove he belongs among the NFL elite. He already has done that. The mission now is simple. Build a championship around him. Every decision made from this point forward should answer one question. Does this increase our chances of winning the Super Bowl? If the answer is no, it isn't the right decision. Championship football in January isn't one by asking one player to carry an entire franchise. It is one by eliminating weaknesses. Protect Lamar like he's the most valuable investment in the National Football League because he is. Great quarterbacks make plays. Elite offensive lines win championships. Boom. Defensive coordinator should lose sleep trying to stop Baltimore's playmakers not spend the week focusing solely on eight. That's true as well that keep investing in a defense that forces turnovers and short fields. The greatest teams complement their quarterback instead of asking him to score every drive. Another great point too said challenge your culture to evolve every offseason defense to spend months studying Lamar Jackson. Baltimore should never give them the same offense twice. Oo, I really like that one, too. Encourage Lamar to continue being who he is. Don't coach the instincts out of one of the most dynamic athletes football has ever seen. His ability to create the impossible is exactly what separates him from everyone else. Oh, I like that definition. his ability to create the impossible. He said, "Most importantly, build a culture where everyone understands that championships are earned Monday through Saturday long before kickoff on Sunday. The margin between winning the AFC Championship and watching another team celebrate is often one play, one player, one decision, or one offseason move. Don't leave those margins to chance. History remembers organizations that maximize greatness. Baltimore has an opportunity to define an error. When people look back 20 years from now, they shouldn't simply remember Lamar Jackson as one of the most electrifying players in NFL history. They should remember him as a quarterback who delivered multiple Lombardi trophies to Baltimore because the Ravens committed from the owner to the front office to the coaching staff to building the best football team possible around a generational talent. This city deserves another championship. Your fans deserve another parade and Lamar Jackson deserves an organization that matches his commitment to excellence every single day. The window is open. The question is not whether Lamar can win a Super Bowl. The question is whether this organization will do everything necessary to help him bring one home respectfully. Agent for Lamar Jackson. But see the Ravens, they haven't gone about it like that as an organization and that's been a big issue for us. Ravens have treated Lamar Jackson a lot of times like a project, like they weren't fully invested in him, like he hadn't proven himself to them multiple times. So everything that Chad GPT said again, it was right, but it would solely be up to the Ravens to make stuff like that, right? To to it would it would have been solely up to them to make stuff like that happen. And this we're going into Lamar Jackson year 9. We shouldn't even be having this conversation right now. This should have been a conversation where all those questions and all those statements, they got taken care of years ago. Not even necessarily in 2018. He was a rookie. Not even in 2019 because that's when he proved to the world, oh, oh, this is Lamar Jackson. This we Okay. Okay. We see you now. Unanimous. 2020 and onward. The Ravens should all this stuff should have been getting taken care of from 2020 and onward, but it wasn't. Ravens ain't treated like that. And that was the biggest issue.
