We talked yesterday about the story
about Netanyahu
uh getting a warning from the UAE uh
before October 7th. This was published
by left-wing uh newspaper Alitz
um that uh during a a a 45inut call uh
the Muhammad bin Zed of the UAE UA
president warned that Sino was preparing
some major operation.
Netanyah's office today says that it has
reviewed his telephone logs and found no
such call. It also says visitor records
show no entry by the Emirati
representative who would ordinarily
deliver the encrypted telephone used for
private leader to lead a call. So
they're denying this call ever happened.
Haritz is
as of this afternoon standing by the
report. The UAE says it doesn't comment
on private conversations between leaders
and has neither confirmed nor expressly
denied the alleged call.
Uh
Netanyahu is also claiming that he is
preparing he's a defamation action. He
he plans to sue Harit over this
disclosure and claims that it's all
politics given that the elections in a
month. Now, Netanyahu has in the past
uh claimed that he is preparing a
defamation action. He did that with
regard to a story in the New York Times
a few months ago. He did it with regard
to another story by Alex, I think a few
years ago. This is, you know, popular
and preparing.
No defamation lawsuits have been filed,
but he is preparing
u and and of course he has to deny the
whole thing. It's a month before the
election. This is why you need an actual
actual right um
investigation which nobody has done.
Somebody needs some third party needs to
look at the telephone logs and their
visitor records and see if they've been
tampered with and see if they're real.
As I said yesterday,
it wouldn't surprise me at all if these
warnings, if Natano received these
warnings and chose to ignore them, chose
to ignore them because he valued his own
strategic assessment of the situation uh
higher than any anybody else's um uh
alleged u intelligence. A separate
allegation
uh also uh uh made yesterday by a
different newspaper uh not one
necessarily affiliated with the left
says Netanyahu
um
you know was warned by the bet chief
baal about a possible kamas earthquake
we talked about that yesterday uh that
claim I haven't seen the Netanyahu
office deny or reject
So hard to tell. It is interesting that
they went after Haritz because it's an
obvious target because it's a leftist
newspaper, but they did not go after the
Jerusalem Post and they did not go after
the Shinbet chief, although he has not
commented directly on this either. Uh
former Prime Minister Bennett, Nefi
Bennett says Nino received multiple
domestic and foreign warnings, but has
but he has not Bennett has not released
any evidence
establishing the Emirati call or any of
the other allegations.
Again, my view is I would not be
surprised at all if Natano received
these warnings and chose to ignore them
and and chose not to take them as
seriously as they should be taken.
uh the military also claimed in in
months past that they had submitted
reports to uh the prime minister's
office and and they were told that these
were not serious and and and uh you know
none of this none of this rose to the
level to to for Netanyao to order the
military to to increase increase its um
vigilance
uh before October 7th. So, I mean, look,
any way you turn this, and I don't want
to repeat too much what I said
yesterday, but anyway you turn this, any
way you twist it, any way you look at
this,
Netanyahu was the prime minister when it
happened. And Netanyahu was the prime
minister almost exclusively
for the 15 years before it happened.
You cannot erase his responsibility for
this. And again, I urge anybody voting
in the Israeli elections to vote against
Netanyahu. And by the way, that means
also not voting for political parties
that would align themselves with
Netanyahu. Not voting for political
parties that are going to create a
coalition with Netanyahu. It means
making sure Nathaniel will not cannot
lead a government in in in Israel's
future. Hopefully, I mean, I think this
would this would be a major positive
event in Israel and for Israel's future
is if Nataniel just retired from
politics after this election and uh and
and let a new generation of of liquid uh
leaders take his political party. I
think that will also make possible a
right of center a political union and
and a a a majority government in Israel
that excludes the crazy nutty
nationalists uh the religionists the
ultraorththodox party and basically
forms a secular uh right of center right
of center big with a significant
majority in uh in the parliament So for
that to happen, for that to happen,
Nathaniel has to be out and he has to
lose and hopefully then retire.
