Video summary

Kyra opens her vlog by sharing a significant transformation in her wellness journey, emphasizing the importance of treating one's body with care and dedication over an entire year. She highlights bone broth as a foundational element of her routine, using it to support digestion before meals and maintain regularity throughout the day. This commitment stems from recognizing that internal health directly impacts external appearance, leading her to prioritize clinical guidance through Medi-Health's AgeWell virtual visits. These services allow her to manage complex issues like hormones, thyroid function, and inflammation without leaving home, offering a convenient solution for busy lifestyles while ensuring she receives personalized lab tracking and real medical support rather than relying on guesswork or self-diagnosis online. The narrative then shifts to Kyra's unexpected trip to Los Angeles, where plans changed dramatically upon arrival due to logistical issues with her rental car and accommodation. Instead of feeling discouraged by these setbacks, she reframes them as divine redirections that led her to a stunning Airbnb featuring a forested bathroom area and koi fish ponds symbolizing good luck in Asian culture. Despite the rain in Atlanta forcing an urgent pivot to LA for summer-themed content creation with L'Oréal, Kyra embraces the chaos by hiring local experts like "Energy," a coconut specialist she brought along for her shoot. The video captures the behind-the-scenes hustle of preparing natural makeup looks while managing tight deadlines and organizing spring cleaning projects, illustrating how she balances creative passion with professional obligations even when overwhelmed. Kyra's Los Angeles adventure continues with an exploration of Erewhon Market, where she samples gluten-free Goop Kitchen products including spicy kale chips and a healthy oat milk chai infused with spices like cinnamon and cardamom. The highlight of her trip involves filming dramatic shots involving fresh green coconuts that require cutting open with a machete by local workers due to their hardness compared to white resort-style varieties. Following the shoot, she returns home only to immediately head out for Juneteenth celebrations at an event hosted by MAC Cosmetics and The Black Beauty Club, where she showcases her stylish outfit featuring yellow Chanel pieces and dark lip tints that perfectly match her mood. Throughout these events, she expresses excitement about upcoming Botox appointments while maintaining a grounded perspective on beauty standards within the industry, celebrating inclusivity and community among black women in the fashion world.

[music] [singing] [music] [music and singing] [music] >> Hey girl, welcome back to another video. If you're new here, my name is Kyra. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe. Thank you. We looking good, girl. Sometimes you don't notice things until you actually look in the camera and be like, "Wait, SHE'S LOOKING REAL SNATCHED, OKAY?" >> [screaming] >> THIS transformation has been It's been like a journey throughout this whole year, and I'm really just so proud of myself for being so dedicated and sticking to the program, okay? And not my moves. This made me some bone broth. Bone broth is the first thing I like to put in my belly before I eat any food because it relaxes my digestive system. So, you can go to the bathroom throughout the day. Think of it as like you're helping your body digest the food that you eat throughout the day. You know what I'm saying? You prepping it for it. Digestive support. I like to make sure that I am treating my homegirl, aka my body, as such. She comes first. Of course, my mind wants something else, but my body needs what it needs, and that has been my mindset this whole year. I just feel so good. This is a lifelong [music] lifestyle. This is just not temporary. This is a lifelong lifestyle cuz y'all know I've struggled with like my gut health, my skin, and my appearance because how I was feeling on the inside was definitely showing on the outside. But now that I've been taking care of myself and doing like the necessary steps, and I ain't going to lie, y'all, life can get to life. But one thing that I've been consistent with is my health. But this shift came when I started my AgeWell visits through Medi-Health, and Medi-Health is sponsoring this video. But y'all know I love Medi-Health. I've talked about them so many times because the care I get at Medi-Health is insane. I'm just so happy I was able to find real clinical care in the comfort of my own home. I'm not going to lie, y'all, I can get really busy. So in the past, I tended to neglect my health because I just couldn't do the in-person visits anymore. I just couldn't catch a flight, go back home to Wisconsin, try to get an in-person visit, and then I'm talking to these people that don't even hear me. They're like, >> "You're too young to be feeling like that." >> But I know me. I know my body, and I know how I feel, and it wasn't making sense at the time anymore for my lifestyle. I need to come up with a different solution, and the AgeWell visits were exactly that. So when I found Medi-Health, girl, that changed everything. So I'm able to stay on my health journey because Medi-Health is virtual clinical led care, right from your own home, girl. Y'all know I work from home, and sometimes I can't leave the house sometimes. So this is just convenient for my lifestyle. No commute, no waiting rooms, and no rearranging my entire day. Y'all know I don't play when it comes to my labs. I always encourage the girls to make sure you go get your levels checked to know where you're at, and the AgeWell visit does exactly that because it gives you real guidance on lab, prescriptions, supplements, and more for a variety of issues as women as we age. As women, we go through so many transformative stages, everything changing. They're here to guide you through that. Age well visits are important because I get my quarterly checks, and this is important because you're never guessing for my hormones, my thyroid, cholesterol, blood sugar, inflammation markers, cuz y'all know I don't play when it comes to inflammation. Because honestly, I want clarity. I don't want guesswork. I did guesswork in the past and it did not do me good, girl. I know y'all try to diagnose yourself, try to Google symptoms you may have. We don't do that anymore, okay? We book a Midi Health Age Well visit. Best part is that you get to track your progress. Midi will be able to retest your labs, to walk you through on what needs improving, and what needs tweaking. Real numbers, real changes, real proof. And one thing about it, we cannot fall off track, so I have to follow up with my visits always. Because that's a part of taking care of me. The best part about Midi Health is that it's insurance covered in all 50 states, girl. So, it's easier to stay consistent. Hello. So, girl, if you've been wanting support, clarity, and a plan that revolves around you, make sure you click the link down below to book your first Age Well visit to get results that really actually matter. You are your biggest project, so make sure you take care of yourself first before anything. Cheers to that. Anyways, y'all, I am about to get ready for the day, um finish my bone broth, and we have a lot of plans going on this weekend, and I can't wait. I'm super excited. It just started raining. Boo. Got to get ready for the day. I look good, feel good inside and outside. But, I'll check in back with y'all once I get ready for the day. >> [cough] >> Mhm. That's it. >> All day and all night. >> [music] >> All day and all night. >> [music] >> All day and all night. >> [music] >> All >> [music] [music] >> Y'all, so I teleported to LA. Kadence here and y'all this Airbnb is crazy. There's a forest in the back of the bathroom. And it's a whole pond with koi fish and turtles. And I'm like, "Oh my god, what do koi fish symbolize?" And Kadence like, "Oh, good luck. That's why they're like really popular in Asia." And I'm like, "Hmm, no wonder I was rerouted here because I'm out here shooting content, y'all." And I was actually supposed to stay at a hotel or a house. And a lot of things were just going wrong and sometimes I don't be tripping when things go wrong because I feel like that's just God rerouting me to better. I had to find this house last minute cuz we were supposed to come We were supposed to be here yesterday, but I had to do all this planning and stuff, rent a car cuz I really wanted to rent a vintage car for the vision I had in mind for this project and it wasn't working out. Girl, they said the car that I was originally supposed to get was damaged so they couldn't rent it out to me. So, I was like devastated, but you know, in these situations, I've done got used to them. Honestly, I know how to pivot. Let's think of something new. Let's go with something different. And I honestly feel like I just seen this post today, and it literally said you cannot be get upset or mad when things don't go right. You have to really trust that God is going to lead you into how it was supposed to go. I feel like during the last couple months, I feel like the beginning of this year things were going wrong, but then they still felt right. But yeah, everything works out how they're supposed to cuz now I'm in this beautiful house with my best. Hey. >> Hey. >> I had hired a coconuts person cuz she has a coconut business, and I wanted some coconuts for this shoot that I'm doing. And I'm doing my makeup really, really quick, y'all. We just landed, and I'm just doing a really natural beat because the brand likes um natural. It's for L'Oréal. I'm doing just a natural beat cuz I want to showcase the Infallible setting spray. It has a natural finish, and I'm doing natural makeup anyway. I don't I wouldn't say this is natural. Honestly, this is going to be a full coverage beat, but I still want to look like something to show that I have a full face of makeup on for when I butter myself with coconut. I am doing like a summer splash because it's summertime. That's why I came out here because I really wanted summer vibes for my video, and it was raining in Atlanta, so I was like, "No, we can't film here." That's why I'm in LA. Y'all, this house is sickening. Like I said, I literally had to jump right into this glam session. The coconut girl, her name is Energy. She'll be here um in a few minutes to set up. My time management, I'm trying to get better at, and I'm just trying to uh I'm just trying to hurry up and get ready so I still have the sun cuz I don't want the sun to go away. And then by By time she's done, I'll probably hop into the first shot. But yeah, I wrote my script on the plane. I already know what shots I want to do and I do have to get my face wet, but the face getting wet is going to be like one of the last couple shots for the most part. But the whole thing is summer splash and I'm going to get my face wet regardless, but I still want some dry shots in there, too. I'm excited to be here in LA though. Y'all know I love LA. I love coming out here. It's just so fun and just I just love that health and wellness aspect of the city. And it's just a a breath of fresh air when I come out here. But even though it was sunny in Atlanta when I left, I don't think I'll be able to get the vibes that I'm about to get for the video. And honestly with these projects, I'll be having to tell them the concept and once the concept is approved, they're like, oh, okay. Well, we need the video like ASAP immediately. And that's what happened in this situation, girl. They're like, okay, we love the concept. So, when can we expect the video? We want the video like tomorrow. Not tomorrow, but it felt like tomorrow because it's like I'm on a time crunch and y'all know I don't do well with time. So then, I really wanted to get my house together this week, but work comes first and I just have a couple projects that I have to do. And it's just like I'm really a one-man show. I feel like this is why people pay for convenience because if I could pay somebody to like go through my whole closet and organize and all this stuff, I would, but it don't make sense because I have to be there to physically be like, oh yeah, I want this, want to keep this. I'm doing like a a spring summer clean out so I can donate, give away, or whatever. Um and then also allow my friends to go through the gently used things or things that still have tags on them. And then also probably give away to the girls. Yeah, I wanted to do that this week, but girl, I had to pivot. They said, we want this in the next 2 days. I said, okay. Let me start planning it out and it does get overwhelming sometimes. I do feel like sometimes when I get in those moments that I'm overwhelmed like I'll be like, "Uh, am I doing too much? Should I just not? Should I just half ass it? Should I just not even do it?" But then that is just the feeling of confirmation for me that I should be doing it. I should be doing what I love to do, which is creating. And just cuz time is playing a factor in it shouldn't stop me from doing it. That's where we're at with it. Yeah, sometimes I'm just like, "Uh, should I even do this?" Like am I doing too much? But I love doing stuff like this. It's so fun to me. Like I have a ball planning things that comes to my head. Being out here is going to get the job done. That's all we out here getting the job done. All right, period. But yeah, let me finish getting glam, soaking up the vibes in this bath. Girl, what? It look like a green screen. Crazy. Amazing. But yeah, once he told me the koi fish mean good luck I'm like, "Oh, okay." It [clears throat] makes sense. But yeah, I'm about to finish getting glam. And I'll talk to y'all once I get dressed. Y'all, so I just got dressed. We're looking cheetahlicious. >> Yeah, it looks good. >> I think it looks so beautiful. >> Yeah. Okay, can we do that? Do we have Oh, he's just going to Yeah, just keep going backwards. Right there is good. Oh, when in LA, we got to go to Erewhon. Are you excited to be popping your Erewhon cherry? I've never been to Erewhon. We're going to see what the hype is about. We're going to see. We're going to get a smoothie and I'm going to get me something to eat. I am trying Goop kitchen cuz Goop kitchen is gluten-free and they're made with clean ingredients and they have vegan options. Yeah, it's giving whole foods but like I'll try these kale chips. I'm going to get the spicy ones. I'm about to get a combo plate but I also like I said I got Goop kitchen so I'm just going to get some vegetables and some cauliflower and I think they have these brown rice balls. It's sweet. Mhm. What? They have a oat milk chai. That is crazy. I wonder how it tastes. Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and clove. This is like a healthy chai. This like a healthy chai. Should we try it? No. Fine. Y'all, it is the morning of day two. I put the exact outfit back on because I have to show the resistance or whatever cuz I have to get some more clips but the most important clip is getting this shot with the coconuts. So, like I said, I did hire a coconut queen. She brought all these coconuts. She ended up renting them from somewhere which I'm so happy that I hired her and yeah, and it's just so amazing when the people show appreciation when you involve them in your projects and hire them and just stuff like that. So, yeah, we were having a long conversation last night. So, if you're in LA and need some coconuts, hit her up. But, yeah, so we're doing this shot with the machete over there. Y'all see that knife? Y'all see that old dang dang dang? So she didn't have a machete cuz she's used to the you know those white coconuts that you'll see like when you're on vacations or a resort or whatever. She's used to those coconuts not these green ones and these green ones are a little bit harder. So good morning. So we're going to ask somebody if he can cut it with the machete and they're over there working. So that's where we're at today. But the makeup looks good. Mhm. Good morning. Oh hey boo. I was telling the people if you y'all need some coconuts in LA. >> Thank you. >> Hit energy. >> Come see me, the coconut queen. >> Um so I'm just going to have like a man do the machete. >> Why? >> Because >> I've been practicing. >> Okay. >> Let him do it. >> I just don't want you to hurt yourself. >> Tony saw me cut myself almost three times. >> Yeah. Mhm. >> I did I did so he listed us a real machete. >> Yeah. >> So we can get it through. >> Period. >> It tastes so good. >> You want some? >> No. Later. That's crazy. >> Do you want to cut one open now? >> Just to see if he can do it. Okay, do it. >> Well it's already This one's ready. >> Okay, hold on. Hold on. Let me He might get it on the first try. >> Yeah, no no no. This one's ready. This one's ready. It's It's dripping. So if he just goes here it's going to be ready. >> Okay, hold on. Wait. Wait. Tell him wait. >> And not with this one with this one. >> [music] [music] >> I don't see no fire. >> [music] >> Off-white sun seeker at the marina. [ __ ] a phantom, hot like the Maybach when I get the fever. Wine cooler spill on my white t-shirt the sight see ya. Trifecta [music] money, morals, and culture. That's my leisure, my visa, passport data, that's your hub in Ibiza. New Cali dwellers in Brooklyn just to put me some pizza. Who could reach us? Only [music] God could teleport this type of freedom. >> [music] >> I discover myself with not far sure. [music] Raise my hands to a full of sky. I fantasize me jumping planets immortal class. I correspond three angels watching me all the time. Put my children to sleep with a prayer. Then close my eyes. Definition [music] of peace. >> Tell me who going to stop me. Yeah, somebody's lying. I [music] can see the vibes on act. Either you looking compromised. Let's kill the lights back. >> Hello y'all. So, I'm back at home and girl, I'm already on my way to another event. So, thank God for the closet guys because baby, I did not know what I was going to wear. But, luckily I've been on a shopaholic high and I forgot I had this Boohoo on outfit black owned and that's where my yellow outfit was when I wore it to Ulta Beauty World, too. And I just picked up this purple one as well and we're celebrating Juneteenth. Juneteenth, black people, purple, royalty. It all makes sense. Okay, thank you. So, yeah. I just have on this set and then I paired it with this, my yellow Chanel. She's making her debut on the vlog. And then I just have on some black heels. And then these earrings are from Same. And I kind of did a dark lip today with a Huda Beauty lip tint. I wasn't too sure about it, y'all, but like I said, the closet gods was looking out for me. I was like, "Oh, the dark lip actually matches the outfit." What do you know? So, but yeah, I'm about to make my way there now. Um I'm only 10 minutes behind. I'm not trying to be too too too too late. So, I'm going to see y'all once I get there. And I'm going to log off my phone and yeah, I'll see y'all once I get there. But yeah, I just had to show y'all the fit. Let's go get this social hour on. >> [laughter] >> No, but have you seen the Are you on the side of TikTok where they're injecting the peptides? Yeah, like the red light. Yeah, they got beauty peptides, they got weight loss peptides, and they get them on the gray market.
