Video summary
The video begins with the creator addressing her tired appearance before diving into a review of several new makeup launches at Sephora, noting that while fall and holiday collections are approaching, she is eager to test the latest products. She starts with the Beauty of Josee Daycreen Tinted SPF, praising its affordable price point of $20 and its ability to provide light-to-medium coverage with a subtle glow. Although she notes that the formula sits slightly on top of the skin rather than melting in completely, she is impressed by its pore-blurring capabilities and overall performance for the cost. She follows this with the One Size Ultimate Color Corrector Stain, a waterproof product designed specifically for oily skin types to neutralize discoloration. While she finds the scent unusual and somewhat unpleasant, she is highly satisfied with how well the correctors set down and stay in place under foundation, making them excellent for covering acne spots or dark patches without moving around.
Moving on to eyeshadows, the creator expresses significant disappointment with the new Makeup by Mario cream shadows in a shimmer finish. Despite having received these as a PR package and being excited about the launch, she found that the shimmers separated easily when layered and did not blend as smoothly as the brand's matte counterparts. She feels they are too flat and lack the metallic intensity she was hoping for, suggesting instead that users might get better results by applying just one shimmer shade over a matte base. Next, she reviews the new Nars Notorious mascara, an Ulta exclusive claiming to offer lift, length, and volume in one go. Her initial impressions are mixed; while the black pigment is deep, she struggles to get enough product on her lower lashes with the thin wand, requiring multiple layers that eventually make the lashes feel heavy and clumpy before they finally hold a curl.
The final segment of the video focuses on lip products, where the creator finds more success with Huda Beauty's relaunched lip stains and Kofi's new matte lip stains. She tests the updated Huda bottles to see if the improved filling process solves the issue of running out of ink when stored flat, concluding that while the formula is similar, the new packaging does hold slightly more pigment. She particularly appreciates the addition of cool-toned shades like berry brown and rosy mauve, which are refreshing alternatives to typical warm tones. Finally, she gives a strong recommendation for Kofi's Glossy Lips Mattler lip stains, highlighting their unique color palette and long-lasting transfer-resistant properties. She notes that while her naturally pigmented lips sometimes alter the perceived color of stains, the matte version provides excellent hydration without flaking and leaves a beautiful stain even as it fades, making it an ideal choice for busy individuals who need low-maintenance makeup throughout the day.

Oh, I'm looking a little rough in these
videos now, guys. I've started over this
last month. The first thing that I do
during my day is film. So, wake up, I do
my skin care, and then I film. So, I
look real tired every morning. So,
that's why I look like this right now.
I'm not apologizing for it, but I also
just picked on something, so ignore
that. Anyways, today we are going to
talk about some new products at Sephora
because there have been a lot of
launches lately. I guess fall makeup's
coming out, but like before you know it,
the holiday stuff is going to start
coming out. So, it's going to start
being revealed this month. And then come
September,
full force. Get ready for it. Even
though it feels like it's earlier every
single year, no, it does happen at the
same time every single year. So, I'm
trying to get ahead. I have some new
Sephora products that I wanted to try,
like the new Beauty of Josan tinted SPF,
the one size stain color correctors. The
heart and soul of today's video is
definitely the new Makeup by Mario cream
shadows, the new shimmer finish. Nars
has out a new mascara. Huda Beauty has
redone her lip stain line as well as
added three new shades. and Kofi, who in
my opinion has the best lip stains ever,
has launched the Glossy Lips Mattler lip
stains. So, if you've been curious about
any of these products, come on in. Let's
see what they're all about.
First things first, we have the Beauty
of Josan Daycreen Tinted SPF. This has
SPF 30. And the best thing about this is
it's only $20. and four. Sephora, that's
pretty amazing. There are plenty of
drugstore foundations that cost more
than this. So, I can't believe that this
is only $20. I love Beauty of Josan. So,
this is a tinted mineral sunscreen. It's
supposed to be lightweight, silky, have
a nice easy application, and be poor
blurring. We'll see how much extra
coverage I'll need with concealer, but
I'm going to use the shade 23N.
Wait, that did blend in really nice. And
I feel like it's giving nice enough
coverage. I mean, it didn't claim to
give a ton of coverage. And I'm not
looking for it to give a ton of coverage
just based on the style of product that
it is, but it's definitely giving more
coverage than I thought. I would say
it's a light coverage for sure, but it's
like leaning towards medium. It's not a
medium coverage, but
it's leaning in that direction on the
light coverage scale.
Wait, and I do feel like it kind of
smoothed everything out a little bit.
Nothing miraculous, but I mean, looking
at it, it made everything look better.
It evened everything out. By the way,
this is a fantastic color for me. Does
have a little bit of a subtle glow. The
only call out that I have with how it is
sitting on my skin is that it is sitting
a little on top of the skin as opposed
to just melting in. If you know what I'm
talking about, some foundations, they
just have this smooth finish that looks
like it becomes one with the skin. And
then some foundations, they kind of sit
a little bit more on top of the skin
where you feel like you can see the
product a little bit more. So, I do feel
like it is sitting a little on top of
the skin, but it's not horrible. I'm
going to see if we can build up a little
bit of coverage on the cheeks. It's not
necessary for it to. It advertises
itself as a tinted SPF. So, if it's just
a tint, that's okay. But, it is always a
bonus.
If it can add more coverage, then you
also get a little bit more SPF
protection this way, too, if you layer
it on a little bit thicker. I feel like
that did give a little additional
coverage. Nothing crazy, but for it
being a tinted SPF, it also isn't too
glowy, greasy, or heavy feeling.
It really feels more like a lightweight
foundation as opposed to an SPF. It's
not the most beautiful thing that has
set on my skin and that I've worn, but
you know what? It's looking pretty good.
It's giving more coverage than I
thought. It does blur pores and it has
evened everything out. and my skin. It's
looking good. So, we'll see how this
wears. That's the most important part.
But for $20, I am not mad about this at
all. Now, this next product is extremely
interesting. It's not a product that I
need really, but I can definitely see a
certain type of person who does need a
product like this. Oily skin, you listen
up. So, this is the one size ultimate
color corrector stain. It's $28. It
comes in six different shades like
green, orange, peach, light pink, all of
those. And it's a 12-hour waterproof
color corrector that corrects, evens,
brightens, neutralizes. Obviously,
discoloration, the point of color
correction. So, I kept three shades for
myself to play around with. Let's see
how they work. So, what the directions
say is to put it down and then to blend
out the edges and then let it dry like
that. I'm not going to do that just for
my swatches to see if they really do set
down. Here is the light peach shade.
They feel pretty creamy. And then green,
which you'll use for redness. So, it
says you have like 20 to 30 seconds
before it dries down. Also, let's try it
on me. So, right here is where I'd want
the color correction.
And they also demo that you can get a
little bit of lift here. And then we're
going to blur
the edges.
I'm going to do the peach shade
on the other side. So, I'm thinking this
will be great for somebody with oily
skin who really does need to color
correct. But you see even on me like
that light pink really helped
with the blue that I had. Salmon I think
is a little bit better for that. Pink is
more brightening. So I do have this
light peach shade.
And I was worried it was going to feel
really dry and that I had to work really
fast, but honestly it's blending out a
okay.
This product I think smells a little
weird. A little funky. Smells like funk.
Yeah.
Okay. That's something I haven't heard
about this, but it it smells a little
funky. I was like, is my brush
disgusting? Am I disgusting? No, this
product is funky smelling.
It's I'm still
Yeah, it's this. Okay. I don't know why
it smells like that. They need to make
this scented. Sorry for my people who
don't like fragrance, but I'd rather be
smelling some cupcake vanilla than smell
this.
But obviously, I mean, I feel like it
did a fantastic job with color
correction. Let's see. Did these set?
Okay. Yeah, it does set down. I'm sure
if I really put a lot of I'm sure if I
put a lot of pressure, I could get it to
blend out more. But these do really
stay, which is really great because if
you color correct, you know how
sometimes when you put the color
corrector, you blend it, and then you
put your concealer or foundation over
top, it kind of moves the color
correction. This would be really lovely
for acne in that situation because it's
stuck there. You know, the foundation is
not going to move it around. So, there
is absolutely a purpose for this. I
think it did a great job. And even
though I did on my under eyes, it
doesn't look too dry. Like when it dries
down, it still feels like sticky and
gummy. So, it should still have that
flexibility and hydration. So, I think
this is an interesting product.
Actually, I'm liking it more than I
thought, minus the stank. But yeah, now
that I've gotten a feel for it, I think
it's even better than I thought it was
because I didn't even think about that
for like acne spots or dark patches,
right? This isn't going to move when you
put foundation over top, which makes the
product even better. I'm excited, guys.
I got every shade of the new shimmer
finish from the Makeup by Mario cream
eyes shadow line. Most of the products
in here were from PR, but this is the
one I was so excited about. I was
absolutely going to purchase these
regardless, so it was a good day to
receive this. These are $25 each, and
his original launch of these were all
matte eyeshadows, and they were
incredible. So, now we got to see what
the shimmer shadows are all about. And I
think these are a godsend for oily
eyelids. This is honey crystal. Honey
crystal.
Ooh, that's pretty. It's not super
metallic. These look definitely subtle
ballet blush.
This is supposed to be a rose gold. It's
not as pinky as I thought it would be.
Pink pearl.
Okay, that one's a little bit more
pinky. Mauve Magic,
a little bit more depth there. Fizzy.
Oh, shoot. Fizzy fig. That's a beautiful
bronze. Definitely thought it was going
to be lighter based on the packaging.
Plum pewtor.
Ooh, that's gorgeous. There's like a
little bit of stronger glitters in
there. Bronze Batty,
beautiful. And brown sugar.
Really pretty. These are definitely
pretty. But I will say these are more
flat than I was hoping. I was wishing
these were going to be a little bit more
metallic, but these are pretty subtle in
the shimmer department. But I still bet
you they're pretty and these are going
to be more flattering for more mature
eyelids. So, let's see. Not going to set
my eyelid or anything. And I'm going to
go all shimmer.
Not even applying a base. So, I'm going
to start off with a little bit of bronze
baddy.
And I'm going to use this
in the outer corner to start. See if
these blend just as easily as the
mattes.
Mhm. And since these are softer, I would
say it's definitely safe
to use these in the crease like I am.
They're not flat like the matte shades.
And they seem to be shearing out a
little bit more. Like that sheared out a
lot.
So,
but I mean it seems to be working out
just as easily as the matte shades. And
if you want the shimmer to be more
concentrated, don't like pick a brush
and smudge it out like I am. But I'm
just trying to create a background with
this. I would say I've got the
background that I like. So I'm going to
continue with bronze buddy.
And just leave this more concentrated.
Taking a smaller brush.
Just diffusing the edges
and letting this dry.
Gorgeous. Then I'm going to do pink
pearl all over the eyelid.
And that added a really pretty sheen all
over the eyelid.
These aren't layering as well as I would
have liked.
I do think the mattes are absolutely
superior to the shimmers. The shimmers
are separating a little too easily. It's
easy to fix, but I think there's a lot
more superior glowy liquid shadows out
there. These are not my favorite,
unfortunately. I think he still has the
matte department. That's his specialty.
But these shimmers just kind of mushed
together. They did not layer well. What
I'm thinking is these might perform
better if you use just one shimmer. So,
if I put down a matte, whether it be
Makeup by Mario or just a regular matte
eyeshadow,
and then just pick a shimmer and put it
all over the eyelid, I think this would
be a better experience.
But it doesn't matter. Like, they should
be able to be used multiples at once.
But I think the best way to use this is
to do a one and done kind of vibe.
Yeah, I'm a little underwhelmed by these
if I'm being honest. They're pretty and
I think as I continue to use them, I
will absolutely get really pretty looks
with these and I'll pick out my favorite
shades for you and and you will hear
about that from me. But just using two
was a little bit difficult. They didn't
agree with each other. They were
separating a little bit too easy. Over
blended a little bit. Like you can see
it looks a little patchy on my eyelid.
I'm going to continue using these. I'm
not writing these off yet, but I am
disappointed with my first impressions.
Oh, you guys. I think you'll be able to
see better. I just took a step back and
looked at my eyelid. These do not look
good.
Oh no. I'm going to give these a second
chance. They need a second chance. But
what the heck, right? Okay. So, I'm
actually quite disappointed in the
Makeup by Mario. I don't know if it's
just the way I applied it today, but
we're going to have to figure that out.
But we'll move on. Nars just launched a
new mascara, the Notorious mascara. And
even though this title is Sephora, this
is actually an Ulta exclusive, but it's
supposed to do it all. Lift, length, and
volume. Allin-one high performance. It
is $29. I don't love spending all of
that for a mascara, but it claims to do
everything. So, I have Starruck Black
and Infamous Black. No, infamous brown.
Okay, we'll use Starshoke Black. We have
a spiky long skinny wand.
All right.
I feel like it's not depositing a lot of
product to my lower lashes.
And it might just need to dry out a
little bit. That might be what's causing
this, but
I'm not getting much
product on my lower lashes. So, after
it's been used a few times, some air
should have entered the packaging. So,
that'll thicken up the formula.
This is quite black, though. Okay.
Yeah, I'm just not getting a lot of
product on my lashes.
So, this is a bad first impression.
Mascaras though truly need multiple uses
to be able
to be reviewed,
but
I'm just not getting a lot of product in
my lash.
Okay, it's building up a little bit more
now. It is giving volume. Not too much
on the length front, but it's giving
some definition,
but we're definitely missing some length
here.
I don't know. I feel like it's just kind
of coating my lashes. It's not really
adding anything.
Oh, I'm not liking this mascara.
Oh, it's getting heavy. I'm having to
keep layering it on to get some of the
product on. And it's getting some chunks
in some part. Okay, I got to stop now. I
don't like this. Uh, I'm going to let it
dry. Maybe I'll put a little bit more my
lower lash, but I'm going to let it dry.
See how it curls.
That second coat did really help though
with the lower lashes.
I will clean up as well. But while this
is drying, let's move on to the new H
put beauty lip stains. So, they
relaunched their entire range. She said
it's like the same formula. It's
literally just a new fill where they put
more of the liquid in. So, it doesn't
matter if it's laying flat or sitting up
straight, you're going to get a good
amount of pigment. So, for her regular
ones, like here's baby pink. The issue
was if it lies flat, it doesn't have a
lot of ink. So, this one has been lying
flat. This is my old formula and I can
get some ink out of it, but it's not
great. So, let me try one of the new
ones, which has also been lying flat.
See if there's more ink from this.
I don't really notice a difference. They
both look the same to me. These are both
the same shades. They were both lying
flat and they both give the same amount
of pigment. So, um I don't really know.
This these were laying flat for me.
Here's another one that's been laying
flat of the old fill rosewood.
Okay, here's one of the new rosewoods
that's been laying flat. Okay, there we
see the difference. That one has a lot
more pigment and they've both been
laying flat. Okay, so we might be on to
something here. I'll do
cherry red.
This one has been lying flat. This is
the old one and it seems to just be
doing aok. Okay.
And then here's the new one. Cherry red.
I mean, I think this one, yeah, it's a
little bit more wet for sure. I guess
there's an improvement there.
I'm I'm going to be stuck with these for
the whole video, aren't I? By the way,
these are $25 and they launched three
new shades. So, I thought I'd swatch the
new shades with the new fill as well.
You know what I got to say with HA? This
is a fairly new product, like the first
launch of these, and she very quickly
fixed what the problem was. So, I do
like that they're in tune with what
people are saying. So, this is berry
brown, rosy mauve. I'm going to like
that one. Very cool. And then mocha.
So, berry brown, rosy mauve, mocha. I
like these. They're not too warm.
They're nice cool shades. I'm going to
do rosy mauve just a little bit. I don't
love these style of products
because
I don't like liping products because my
lips are naturally quite pigmented. So,
I find the color completely changes on
my lips and I typically don't like the
color that the stains stain my lips. So,
when it comes to these lip markers, I
have to keep them outside of the lip
line in order to get this true to color
swatch.
Like, I'll see where it's seeping onto
my lips. It's just not nice looking.
Okay, I was able to keep that pretty
subtle.
I'm happy with that.
I mean, you can see where it touches the
lip line, it completely changes color,
so it ends up looking patchy. That's why
I don't love this style of lip product,
but I know so many people do. But as
long as I'm able to keep it a little bit
more sheer on the outskirts, I don't
need to layer it on too much. Um, I'm
actually pretty happy with this. So, so
I just wanted to show you the new
colors. Apparently, if you lay them flat
now, you shouldn't have any issues with
the ink. It's the same formula, just how
they filled it is different. Uh, so
yeah, I mean, that's great news if
you're a fan of this because I know a
lot of people really do love the Hood of
Beauty. And if you were noticing with
the originals they were losing ink, it's
because probably you were storing them
flat. You can fix that by just flipping
them top down. And when you run out of
that, get the new ones and they have a
little bit more ink in them. So, your
problem should be fixed, which is great.
And the new shades are lovely and cool
toned, which not a lot of lip stains
are. So, I'm really happy about that.
Okay, now let's move back to the lashes.
Are we dry yet? No. They're still really
soft feeling.
Oh my gosh. I like it when my mascaras
dry so that I can give them a good curl.
Just trying to clean up some of my
smudges that I made. My lashes look
really crepey from the Makeup by Mario.
G. Okay, curling these lashes are the
last thing we're going to do. So, we're
just going to move to the next product.
PFI just launched these LSY Lips
moisturizing matte blur lip stain. There
are six shades. They're $24 each. A
silky smooth matte lip stain that blurs
and lasts for up to 8 hours.
Comfortable, lightweight, buildable,
never flakes or stains. So, I used this
yesterday and I didn't notice much
staining. So, I want to swatch them to
see. One thing about the Kofi staining
products is they're my favorite. Like,
they have the best most unique colors.
So, I'm hopeful for this. So this is
noon chai.
Really pretty. A more bold pink. I wore
this one around yesterday. Earl gay
masala soda
totty. Now these look like they have a
shine, but I did wear this yesterday.
They are matte on the lips. Juju be fizz
and mold wine,
which these will be fun in the winter. I
think I'll do Totty because it matches
my lip liner today. But I want to see if
these really do stain. But let me show
you these. So this is Totty.
So it looks like when you put it on,
there's a glow to it, but you can see it
kind of dries down and becomes matte.
This lip shouldn't go anywhere.
So, the idea of this is you're supposed
to let this sit on the lips, wear it,
and as it fades down, it's supposed to
leave a stain underneath. So, you're
always going to have a lip color on. I
just find it interesting that the
swatches on my arms, they have a glow to
them
because on my lips, it's matte. And it
feels nice and lightweight. It honestly
feels pretty hydrating. Yesterday when I
wore a round Earl Gray, it did feel not
drying, but almost powdery, but it's
feeling thinner today, I guess, the way
that I applied it. See if these left a
stain behind.
Ah, they did. And so, this is what I
love about Kofi products. The stains
don't turn warm. They stay really true
to color as the original product. And
Kofi also has unique colors that they
use for staining products. So, I think
this is amazing. So maybe when I wore
Oral Gray, this I think might just be
close to my lip color and that's why I
didn't notice a stain. But see, I love
how that actually stayed brown. But I
love how this is matte because they do
also have a glowy version, but the matte
should last even longer. But for science
reasons, let's see if it left a stain
behind.
It did.
Again, because my lips are naturally a
little bit more on the pigmented side,
it's going to look really warm and
bright on me. But that's just the way
my lips turn stadium products, which is
why I'm not a huge fan of them,
honestly. But yeah, so even when this
color fades, it's going to leave this
color behind. So I'll always have color
on my lips for a long time because you
see
transferless stained lips. Very cool.
Okay, so Kofi does have my favorite
staining lip products. So, I love that
they have this matte version, but if you
want something more hydrating, they also
have a staining lip oil, which I think
is one of the best on the market, and
this continues that. I think this is
really, really cool. So, yay. I wanted
to share that because Kofi really does
have the best staining products with the
best colors. I would have loved to have
seen even more colors on the scale of
like Earl Gay, neutral, wearable colors
that stain, but I think these are a hit.
I think these are good, too. Now, to
finish off, have my lashes dried? No.
They're still a little sticky, but we've
given them long enough. We got to give
them a curl. I got to see if they hold a
curl today.
Sticking to the lash curler. They
curled. Okay, let's see if they hold. I
mean, overall, my lashes don't look bad.
They definitely added product. And after
I
them brushed them out a little bit, I
don't have any clumps and we have good
separation. I don't know. I just didn't
love the application of this mascara.
You saw me struggling. It looks pretty
good at the end of it, but I I know of a
lot of other mascaras that look pretty
good. So, I'll continue using these, but
I really need the air to change this
formula a bit for me to actually enjoy
it because I don't have all day to wait
for my lashes to dry. I don't have all
day to layer this on because it's not
applying product to my lash because the
formula is too thin. So, we will see. As
always, I was talking about a lot of
first impressions throughout this video.
Make sure you subscribe to my channel
because I do have a series called Speed
Reviews where I will keep you up to date
on how these products actually worked
for me after using them multiple times.
So, I don't feel guilty about doing
first impressions on my channel because
I do come back and update you. So, you
will hear about these again. But just a
little overview of how I'm feeling about
these products so far. I do think the
beauty of Josan is a great price for
Sephora and I do think it overall it's
made my skin look really nice. It gave
it a light leaning towards medium
coverage and with all the product on my
face. It's looking good. I do think it
blurred my pores. I do think it evened
everything out. It did everything that
it was going to do. So, I'm liking this.
It's not the best thing I put on my
face, but I think it's very good. I
actually am very impressed with the
color correcting stains from one size. I
think these are phenomenal. They just
smell really funky. So, that is a
turnoff. Was very, very disappointed in
the Makeup by Mario shimmer eyeshadows.
They just h
I'm going to continue using these, but
they didn't layer well. They're not
sitting nicely on the eyelids. So, we'll
see. I just I there's a lot of other
shimmer lid products that I like a lot
more than these so far, but
I'm hoping maybe it's just the first
impressions. For me, I'm not into the
Nars mascara. Uh, overall, my lashes do
look good, but the journey to get there
was too much of a journey for mascara.
The Huda Beauty lip contour stains, I
love the new cool tone colors. I think
that is really awesome. And assuming
that the fill really is better now.
Thumbs up on those. And then a big
thumbs up on the Kofi matte lip stains
as well. They do the best staining
products if you ask me. So, if you want
a longerl lasting matte lip where the
actual product stays on the lips for
even longer than a lip oil and then as
it fades away, you'll continue to have a
stain on your lips, that would be a
great product for you. Stain products, I
think, are great for people with 9 to5s
or just busy people. You know who you
are. If you don't have time to touch up
and check on your lips all day, that's
when these products are really great.
So, I hope you guys enjoyed this video
and found it helpful. Like I said, stay

good one.
