Video summary

The lecture emphasizes the critical importance of establishing local connections and building a robust database before officially launching a church plant. Speakers advise reaching out to existing believers in the target city, such as senior pastors or long-term residents, to gather insights and identify potential locations for ministry. While it is essential to inform these leaders about your vision, one must never ask them to leave their current churches; instead, growth should be organic, allowing individuals to come when God leads them directly. Furthermore, the speaker stresses the necessity of creating a digital database from the very beginning to track new attendees, manage contact information, and facilitate future invitations for events, ensuring that ministry efforts are organized and sustainable over time. Financial prudence and practical planning are presented as non-negotiable foundations for successful church planting, countering the misconception that faith alone removes the need for preparation. The speaker argues that God honors faithful stewardship and often provides supernaturally only after a person has diligently planned their finances, much like the Apostle Paul who worked as a tent maker to support himself and others. Practical examples illustrate that relying on divine provision without securing funds for rent, food, or equipment can lead to unnecessary hardship or even legal trouble, such as being arrested for holding services in an unpermitted space. Therefore, ministry leaders are encouraged to save money while working secular jobs, budgeting for personal needs like housing and family expenses, and only approaching others for support after demonstrating financial responsibility and a clear plan. Beyond finances, the lecture details the administrative and legal requirements necessary to operate a church effectively within the local government framework. This includes registering a religious trust with the appropriate authorities, opening a dedicated bank account separate from personal funds, and maintaining transparent accounting practices that comply with national laws regarding taxes and employee benefits like provident funds. The speaker shares a specific case study where a potential venue was rejected despite its size because it lacked adequate parking for families, highlighting that practical considerations often outweigh purely spiritual impulses. By treating church administration with the same seriousness as a business—hiring accountants, keeping digital records, and avoiding cash transactions—leaders ensure longevity and integrity, allowing the ministry to focus on growth without being hindered by regulatory issues or financial mismanagement.

All right, welcome back. So, we're picking up from u develop a contact list. Now, um few things. Number one, if you know people in that city, reach out to them, right? Ask them for ideas. So, for example, what I did was that uh gentleman who was in church, he said, you know, I've I've been living there for from the time I'm a child. He said, I said, you're the best person. Go find one place. Right? You you develop contact, right? Uh then additional information about the city, recommended recommend places where a church plant can be useful, connect with a senior pastor of that city. So again, I I shared this before, but if if you are planting a church in a new place, try to find a good church there, contact the senior pastor and just let him know that, hey, this is something that God has put in my heart. I want to start a church and uh you know this is something that I want to do. Uh now you're not taking permission from them but you are just informing them of what you are going to do. So something that I did was when I was in Mangalore um during the first month itself I found out uh there's a nice church in Mangalore. I went I contacted the pastor. I went I spoke to him right I told him that I'm come from Bangalore and we are here as a church we wanted to build the church and uh even though he was very discouraging I don't know why but um thankfully I was not discouraged because what he said was no Mangalore is not like Bangalore Bangalore you can do all this Mangalore you can't do anything and he kept saying things but I told him so as a church we're going we are here we're going to plant the we're going to build the church and we're going to use different strategies and uh you know I just want you to pray for us just make it in a way that you know [clears throat] eventually he invited me to his church to preach and he used to ask me how the church grew to 100 for me 20 years it took we are 120 130 people what did you do I said I did what you said you can't do that I did and church grew and then look I heard you started a new church in yeah how many youths come there 30 25 30 youth how do you how did you do that what you said I can't do we God did it right but the point is you inform them right uh whatever they say don't be don't make it let it become a discouragement in your heart keep focus on your vision okay now if these people are already part of a local church in the city do not ask them very important do not ask them to leave their church and come to you if God speaks to them directly, then let them come. But you should never be in a place to tell people to leave that church and come to your church. Never make that mistake. Be happy if there are five people in your church. Be happy with that five. Don't get into the habit of going and telling other church people come to my church. Don't do that. So much so something that we have incorporated in APC is we say I'm sure you've heard it right if you're part of a church where the word of God is being taught we encourage you to be faithful there but if you're looking for a home church come back see if this is where God wants you to be planted never force people again ministry church leadership is never by force it's influence people watch people some people catch it they stay back they serve they grow some people don't and they move on that's all right right [snorts] so when you I also like to share about building a database just quickly uh uh it's not here but building a database as you are planting a church learn to build a database in the sense example you have like a worship evening and you have people coming in right you have new people coming in take down their names and numbers, right? Or maybe email address as well, right? Tell them, hey, can we get your name and number, email address so that we can contact you for any future event. So, what you're doing is by the time you do that over the years, you have built a database, right? And that database is something that you can, you know, keep going back to inviting people, conferences, events, programs. Everyone with me, right? Uh now this database don't have one notebook and write name number. Now everything is digital. Okay. Have an Excel sheet or something. Just put it in. Right. So if you example you start a church, there are five or 10 people in your church. Next Sunday two new people come, right? You should have 10 plus new people, one column, right? These are the pe new people and maybe a way that you have connected with them. And if they're coming, you can take those two put it back into this main church database. It's very important to have a database right. So if you look at our uh the way we over the years initially we had it on Excel sheet name number email address and residential address APC location right uh for many years we had it on an excel a Google drive right so anyone our main pastoral team could access it if we needed any information we could call them but now we have we have you know with technology improving we have something called as CHMS which is a church management uh and you'll learn more in administration church administration so we have an whole tool right so put all the data into that anytime you want you need any information just pick it up remember this information is very confidential never take church information and give it to everyone else right that's also important so as you're building a database only share it with people that you trust and let it be confidential. Okay. Now, next point, relocating to be on site. After you've done the preparation and if it's done from far, now you have to go Bangalore to Uttar Pradesh. You've done the research maybe a year or so you've taken you found a place to stay you found the place for uh ministry you've tried to done you know figure out where you'll go how you'll do ministry some kind of you know background work you have done so now you're going to relocate what are you going to do discern God's timing for the church planting th to move on site right discern God's timing don't be in a hurry. Ask God, God, is this the right time I should go? Should I move from this city now? Is it something that you're leading me towards or should I wait? If God tells you to wait, doesn't mean that you get discouraged. Doesn't mean God is stopping you. He just knows when is the right time and when to launch you. Okay? Keep doing what you're doing. You may be working here a 9 to-five job. Keep doing it. Right? There will come a time. Discern the time he will send you out. Right? Have a plan on when and how you would go about the survey phase, the preparation phase and the launch phase. So that is chapter 9 onwards. We'll see these three phases. Everyone say survey phase. So you're doing a survey. We'll talk about that from next class. Then two, the preparation phase. say preparation phase. Third, the launch phase. Survey, preparation, and launch. Three main phases, right? So, we'll we'll break that down from the next chapter. But let's look at if you are moving from one place, one city to another and you are planting a church, remember this. Don't be super spiritual about it. Remember this. Plan your finances. Don't say my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus and just take one bus oneway ticket go and say okay God now where should you where should I sleep today. God will say search one fly over and sleep under that. I didn't tell you to come. Why didn't you plan? You know, right? You're coming. You know you need a place to stay. You know you need food. Don't take me for granted. That's what God will say. You I've given you a mind. You think no. Did I tell you to go immediately? I gave you the vision. Nemiah got the vision. He didn't go immediately. Oh, king. You know what? My heart is burdened. I want to build the wall of Jerusalem. I want to build the gates. What do you think the king would have said? Go and do your work. That's what he would have said. What happened? Four months. You're stinking and pondering and keeping it in prayer. So much so he only didn't speak. The king said, Nehemiah, why is your face so low? What is wrong? Something's wrong with you. What is wrong? He got the chance to speak. Right? So here's the thing. Be wise. Nine out of 10 times people in ministry are not wise and what they start stops because of finances. Now we're not discounting who God is. We're not saying God won't provide. We're not saying God won't bless and multiply. He will. But God is also looking at our faithfulness and how we do things. He's not going to give more to us immediately because that's not how God is. Look at the character of God. He gives you little. Is he a good steward? If he's a good steward, I will give more. If he's not a good steward, I'm not going to give. I'm going to wait. So, [snorts] how do I plan for finances? Number one, personal finances. You may choose to work professionally for a period until the until the church grows and as it financially viable you uh for you to be fully supported by the church. Now, think of this. Imagine God tells you now you're going to Uttar Pradesh. You go there. You say God I don't know what to do now. Can you send an angel to look after me? God will say I angels are in charge over you. Don't worry. So what should I do Lord? I don't know. I told I didn't tell you to go now. So God will say what is it? What is important here? What would what would be the right thing to do? Okay, if I have to go to Uttar Pradesh and start a church, firstly keep you're a single person. Okay, for example, you're not married. Okay, one single young man. Okay, I should have some money for at least the next maybe one year to help myself. I don't want to sleep under the flyover. So, I need a place to stay. So, there's a certain deposit amount rent. Now that should have been done in your survey phase. What is the you know where you're planting church, where you want to stay, what is the cost of a single room, single house. Now this may not be very spiritual. Okay, this may not be like oh I want to do ministry, forget about room, forget about food, I don't want that is called foolishness, right? No, even we now when we go for missions we have to see no room where to stay everything we booking we don't go there and say now God show me where the steps of a good man are ordered by the lord and he delights in his ways so now you show me the step god will say I'm not showing you anything so now I prepare myself okay financially I should have so much money one year of rent at least Then so much money I need per month for myself alone. Now if you're a married person with wife and two children everything changes. You have to think okay four three people you have to support children school right children no god I don't believe in all that I believe you have called me for ministry. What will happen? You'll be calling people, sir, can you please give me 5,000? Can you give me 10,000? Your ministry will be begging boldministries.com. Don't do that. And it's true. Uh, can you give 10,000 I need for my uh, you know, my son's fees? I need for this, I need for that. Stop it. Right. That's Don't do that. I think we need to get over this right in ministry especially now we do understand uh it can be difficult but we can get a job we can work we can do it right I decided initially I will not ask a penny for Bible college I worked for two years saved up money I'm just giving an example right don't feel I didn't do that I'm just saying right and I paid my fees up front I paid two years fees done I didn't worry about it two years fees is paid one year hostel fees I paid it finished right I didn't have to worry about it after that I didn't have to go on begging bowl ministries.com nothing right the same way prepare your finances right prepare and go don't ever come to a place where you have to ask somebody give me this give me that God will send people that's a different story right but don't come to a place to ask people that's why in church also till date till now we always say do what your heart pleases you never say give have you ever seen an ad announcement for building fund give money have you ever seen from the time you're here maybe you have seen an update this is what is there this is what we're going to do this Have you ever seen Have you ever heard from the pullpit saying we need money for building fund please donate? Have you ever heard that? Amazing. No. Don't you feel that's amazing? And God has given everything for us. We're ready. We're ready to build and complete. Just some paperwork is being done. Don't you feeling that God is amazing? 12 people we started with 12 people from that time we've never begged for money more than that we have people who give we don't have place our own place sometimes I think what kind of heart is this we don't have our own place but we are buying churches for buying land for people helping them build amazing that's the heart of ministry you know you should always think okay what can I give and receive right so prepare yourself financially say okay prepare this much this much money I need it may take one year it may take two years it's okay but I'm never going to be a person who's going to go on asking people for money right now if you are doing work you are saving up money in the journey you may have lack there may come a time when you know you need for example you're working and you want to buy some music speakers right sound speak sound system and it's maybe very expensive two lakhs they say example right two lakhs sound speaker and this now you can pray say god I'm doing my work I'm working I'm putting in for the church but I can't I don't have so much then god steps in you don't worry you're doing the work you're doing the hard work I will provide for you supernaturally and he will provide for you that's what is beautiful. Don't sit do nothing and say God you will you provide. That's not God's God doesn't like that. He sees the seed. He sees your hand and he blesses your hand. Example, it's 2 years, 3 years in church. Church has grown and now there's a new place you have to go to. You're saying, "God, I'm working hard. I'm I'm doing my best for the church, right? But financially now I'm not able to take this bigger space because it's out of our budget. it's too much then God steps in supernaturally providing that he will do right but he wants to see you prepare your finances well then he'll bring in the supernatural everyone with me right yes or no this is very important okay prepare your finances okay um you see that the apostle Paul and his team worked they took care of their own needs while they were planting churches can you believe that Apostle Paul He he didn't sit there and say, "Okay, I'm on the verge of becoming the greatest apostle. I'm better than Peter, James, John, all those people there. Um, so you serve me. Plus, I'm old now. I've been beaten, shipwrecked, all of this. You serve me." He said, "No, I will do the work." And it it shows that Acts in Corinth in Ephesus, what did he do? He worked as a tent maker. He got money and he survived himself. Paul didn't say I am an apostle. You give me money. He said I worked to the Thessalonians. Later on he says you're all busy bodies. Y'all are all you know some of you are not working. If you don't work don't eat. Why? He could say it because he was working. Powerful right? So apostle Paul, Aquula, Priscilla, they were tent makers. Apollos also was working. They were Luke was a doctor. Work and ministry is biblical. Doing it together. Nothing wrong. Our senior pastor also did it for so many years up to 2014. You know, he would come. By the time 2014, the church was well established, planted, right? But he had his own business. Business he would handle business. He would come to office two two days a week, meet with us, meet with the church staff. Few we were very few that time about 10 12 of us where we were and meet with us. Have one-on- ones with us. Yeah. So he was doing that for so many years, right? Even though we were self sustaining by the time we were 2014, but there was a vision in his heart, right? Nothing wrong in working and doing ministry. Nothing wrong in it. Right? So get it out of your mind that hey I'm doing secular job. I'm doing secular work. All the devils of the secular job will come and sit on me. No, you are the light. You go make a difference in those dark places. Right? And eventually God may slowly bring you out and put you into full-time. Okay? Then you may choose to continue to work professionally throughout and have other leaders in full-time roles in the church plant. Right? If you feel that actually there are some people that I know in towns where they are working Monday to Friday they work but they are the church planters right and they have a team of people and on Sundays he's there to preach but Monday to Friday he you know appoints like you know them to go for Bible study fellowship house visits all that so three four of them are there in the team they go and do all the house ministry work because he's working m he's not able to do much but this church is doing well because they have the finances you know eventually he also called me he said can you come preach and uh you know we'll hire this hall and I was so happy right uh because he's just a small young person small church he's planted and uh but he's got the ability to book a hall do a two-day conference I was very proud of him I said very good you have saved up money he said I saved up for 6 months so that I can do one conference 6 months he saved up for one conference two days conference the hall food everything I was so impressed I said very good your your your ministry will be blessed right and his ministry are really blessed right they he doesn't get much in offering or poor people right they don't get much so he works he saves up and he wanted to do this conference right so you see that mindset we need to change are thinking we need to be financially supported. Then finances for the church plan. First is personal finances. Finances for for the church plant. Now when you go to Uttar Pradesh, Bangalore, Uttar Pradesh, you've gone there, you need to book a hall. Now you can't have church with some 20 30 people making sound in one house and then they'll come and arrest all of them. All 30 of them will be in prison. Then you say, "God, what is happening? God, why am I in prison? God will say, what will God say? Book a hall, [laughter] right? So, you book a hall, right? Take a space, a church plant until the um you know, eventually you can start off small in a uh house or something, but then as you grow, you should have finances to step into a hall, right? So for example when we wanted to do the the relate church plant I had all the things needed right okay this is the deposit amount this is the rent this is maintenance fees so monthly this will be the amount everything was on paper right and only then we went forward to for approvals right so that way you can you can choose to be you can be supported by the sending church that was for example here from APC uh we started the Mangalore church that's the sending church that's here and then you can choose to do the church plant without any support putting your personal finances to get things going and let and then eventually becoming a self- sustaining church right look at that personal finances it's your vision it's what God's put in your heart so you should have some kind of sacrifice don't say hey I'm doing God's work no God will provide It's God's kingdom. So God should provide for me. Your work you're doing, the finances that you get, the money that you get from the work is God's only. God has given you the ability to work. So everything is God. Look at it that way. Right? So you can start off either the main church can send you out and say go and start. They provide finances or some kind of support. Or second option is you start and you say I don't want any support. I'll start it on my own but I want to prepare myself prepare financially and then get in right now for example you're in a house you have 10 15 people church is going well then they say hey we have to move to a hall what is the first thing you need to do if you were have to move from a house church to the hall tell me one or two things you have to do okay yeah survey get okay say for example You done the survey. What is the next thing you have to do? Sorry. Budget. Okay. Uh yeah, just before that what one one small thing that you have to do >> people >> whether people will come. Okay. Think that it's you know don't take the same example of delicat but think that they all are willing to come. What is the first thing you'll do? Huh? Yeah. All of that is done in the spiritual. You'll pray and all that. First thing, so you need to look out for the right hall, right? Will you look out for a 200 seater hall? How many people in your church? 15 people. Will you look out for a 200 seater hall? 100 seater. Good. Right. 175 100 seater hall. So you have to do that research first. where can I get a 100 seater hall right? Uh so you do some research you start preparing for that. Now you should also have understand the finances deposit amount and rent all these things. Okay. So that will get you going. Now example you've got all of that ready. You [clears throat] move to the hall maybe in 6 months after 6 7 months. What is the thing that you need in the hall? Sorry. Yeah. You said equipment, chairs, uh, sounds. Yeah, sound system. Chairs. Basic. Or if it's a town, if they want to sit down, that's easier. Okay, no problem. At least sound system. So if you're going there, what you should do? You can't tell these 15 people in your church, all of you give 10 10,000. They'll say sir I don't have 10,000 you can't tell them then don't come to church that's what I meant this is not begging bold ministries so what you should have should have some finances okay when we move to the hall we can manage for some time right maybe maybe two or two months 3 months we'll manage but when more people come we need a sound system so you start doing research How much is in your account? Nothing. But you're doing research. It's okay because you have invested a lot on the hall all that you have spent. Now you don't have finances. It's okay. Don't worry. Right? You're just doing some research. Eventually you can save up money. Right? And you can ask God, God provide supernaturally. Right? Why? No. No. You're not saying God nothing is here. Please. No. You've done your part, right? You have put in your seed of the, you know, booking the hall, getting the space, and now you're believing God for a good sound system and plus you're working, you're doing both. God will bring the people. So, you need a sound system. Then eventually you need, you know, maybe whatever small small things within the church, right? Musical instruments, mics and stands and all of these things. Okay. So, one by one slowly you start buying it, right? One month you buy a Okay. Drum kit costs example 10,000. Okay. Okay. I'll save up. I'll buy that. Think of it that you're buying it to build the church, right? Then you can then slowly you'll see okay in a year or so not only are you fully set up you have like people also playing instruments and your church is growing. So the moment you move to this 100 seater now the church has become 50 people 60 people right and you have that place to do a lot of events uh you'll have young people joining the worship team right and so you have to buy instruments right for them so that's another thing slowly right and god will bless the finances of the church right but never come to a place of forcing people to give Right? You can put it out. You can tell them this is what I need. Uh so let's pray together and may believe God to do it for us. Right? So careful carefully think through the pros and cons of each option. Right? That means if I move to a new place, a new hall, what are the pros? That means what are the benefits? What what are things that can happen? These are the benefits. What are the cons? These are the ones. Let me give you an example how why it's important to be wise when your church when you're planting a church. 2020 APC East we had closed co happened everyone went away right to their hometowns and all right 2022 when we wanted to restart the hotel that we used to meet in they said no we can't meet here because the you know there was some maintenance work happening so we began to look out for places and I remember 2022 I had just come back from Mangalore right I was 4 years in Mangalore I came back here and we began to search for places so many places. Here's the thing. We are getting many halls, commercial spaces, but no parking, twocar parking they're giving. Hall is beautiful, 300 seater hall within our budget. Very nice hall. The owner said, "We will do up the hall. We will fix ACs. We'll fix ceiling, make it look nice, everything." I was I was thinking, "Wow, he's willing to do everything. false ceiling, fans, ACs, everything. But in my heart, something was disturbed. Why? Why am I feeling disturbed? And I realized two car parking. If I take this beautiful hall and you have two cars to park, where will my church people park the car? Knowing that most of them are family members. So when we restarted, we were about 40 people in 2022. 40 45 people. Right. Uh so where will they park the car? At least 10 cars will come and that place was on a main road commercial. Nice place to do ministry, right? It would have really picked up. But what will happen if there's no parking space? I thought to myself, if there's no parking space, they will not want to come to church. They'll be struggling to find a parking space. It'll be diff. So I said, no, we don't want your hall. Now it was a hard decision right and I remember you know speaking with pastor and I was telling him no because we need a good parking space and I was talking to our uh team uh events head that time uh Stephen was our events head so I was talking to him saying hey you know what no matter what uh we need at least a 30 to 40 car park so I was looking ahead 30 to 40 car park should be and he used to tell me where will I get that kind of place 30 40 car park I said it's better to get that kind of a place only then we can expect church growth. Now I'm not depending on car park for church growth. But it's a practical thing. Yes or no? They're not going to you know use their wings and fly and come to church. They need to come by car, right? The angels are not going to carry them and come. They have to go. Is it spiritual? Is it very spiritual? What I'm thinking? Not even spiritual. Very very practical. And we say hey you don't have faith that God will give the parking space. God God will give the parking space. Now you go park in a no parking place. Then the person will come to the pastor. Pastor I parked here. The they've taken the car to the police station. Then I'll have to follow him to the police station to get the car back. You get what's happening? Yes or no? So I said okay. Then after I think about 2 months or of searching, we found our place. We found the place now uh which is a beautiful place. It's easily a 60 car park. Nice. It's a 300 odd seater hall that we meet in. Initially, it was weird because 40 people used to meet in that hall. 300 seater hall. 40 people used to meet. But now we're grown, right? So, we're about 140 150 people on a good Sunday. So, uh so here's the thing. Think through everything. Everything. Write down pros and cons. Now this place that we are in is 5 kilometers away from the old place. So some of them said we are not coming here. It's okay because they went to central. It's okay. But then we said hey there's a whole different avenue here. This side there are IT parks. There are apartment complexes. There is you know paying guests and uh so much of ministry that can be done here. So we focus our attention this side. Right. Ultimately, you need to do what God leads you to do. Okay? Planning for other personal needs, special needs of family members, right? Schooling for children. Think through on these matters. Especially when you're moving from one place to another, right? Don't say I am taught of the Lord so my children also will be taught of the Lord. So, no need school. Then you'll figure out they're 12 years old. They don't know how to read the Bible. What will happen? God you said you will teach God will say I know I said I will teach but through the school through the school right so basically be prepared for all these things then very important portion I want everyone to focus on this right planning for legal administrative and regulatory matters especially in a time we are in now in this season in our nation we should be on point and we should know the law very well. When it comes to legal aspects at some point of the church plant maybe when you move from the two choices you can either start the you know the church the the trust immediately with a few trustees. They could be your core team members or you can just start the church slowly and then you know once maybe you move to a hall before that open the trust don't ever say I trust in the lord so I don't need a trust here I trust in the government please don't do all those things legally you should be a valid religious organization recognized by the government. Okay. Now I understand if it's North India it's maybe a little difficult right but do it the right way. Okay. You should become a legal entity a registered religious trust. It should have other administrative systems in place like a bank account and accounting. So the moment you open a trust you'll get a current account right a bank account which is a current account. So for example um you nowadays whether wherever you are you open a trust you get a bank account number now you have these QR codes and all that. So easy you know people can just uh give to the church. So all of that goes into the church. It doesn't go into your finance personal. Don't say I'm the owner of this church the money should come to me. No, don't make that blunder. Open the trust. The trust will have a current account. Let people give into the current account. Once you have that uh amount, you are in charge of it. Right? Be wise. But as the amount church grows and the amounts increase, set in place an accountant or you can even you know nowadays you can have consultants from accounting firms to come and set in place. Okay, we got example right we got one lakh this year this month your church is now 100 people example right one lakh you got this month okay rent 20,000 electric bill 5,000 maintenance 5,000 that's 30,000 remaining balance 70,000 now by the time you're 100 people you may have staff maybe an accountant or maybe an administrator or maybe an assistant pastor. If you have one or two stuff okay salary salary 1 a salary to b everything is there remaining balance so much overflow to next month it'll all show on paper then if you are also serving you can say salary to yourself salary to employee one salary to employee two and have everything on your paper so that have everything on documents so that as your church grows, as the income in increases, people start giving to you, you have everything in place. So if you go to our website, go to abcwo.org/financials from 2001 or one or two I think every amount that has come into the church is available there. every all the amount right this month if you want to know 2005 September how much finances came to the church you open it you'll see it and you'll also see where it was spent what it was spent for everything is being accounted for okay so you can set that in place I'm not saying do it immediately let the church grow right once you have you know 50 100 people 50 people, you know that finances are coming in, right? Be very wise with the money. Not saying don't pay yourself a salary. You're working, pay yourself a salary. Make sure you're working 8 hours. Don't just pay yourself a salary and sleep, right? Work for that 8 hours. And you have employees, you're building a team, be there to support them, train them, and you know, build them up as well, right? Pay salaries on time. So you have a good accountant, right? Then it should comply with local government regulations, right? So for example, income tax, uh, provident fund, these are things, there are certain rules, right? Uh, so make sure that the accountant is following those rules. Now you may think, okay, what who's we we always going to start a small church? Who's going to check all this? No, don't think small. What if your church grows to thousand people? What will you do? Good thing or no? So, you should have this in place, right? Imagine you have 10 staff, you have to pay them all salaries, right? You can't tell verbally, no, I paid all salaries. No, you should show it on paper. Now, the the the employees will say, uh, what about medical benefits? What about, uh, you know, provident fund? These are government rules. It's not church rule. government rules. So you being in our nation, you have to follow the government rules. Daniel, he was the administration, he was doing administration in Babylon, he followed the rules of Babylon unless it came against God. They said, "Whoever bows down to any other god will be thrown into the lion's den." They found Daniel himself doing it. Daniel didn't say, "Hey, I'm the admin. I'm the leader of this." No, he said, "Okay, bring the form." He would have put his signature. Okay. He knows he's not going to do it, but he followed the rules, right? So, you follow the rules. Government rules. Government rules I think right now is if you have 20 staff and more, you must have provident fund. It's a must. And so, certain things are these government and you may not know it, but it's good to have an accountant who can help you keep your accounts right. Right. um somebody who you can trust. So we also have an accountant right we have an external auditor we have an internal accountant as well. So everything is being audited the right way. how money comes and money goes out, bills, um everything, right? And so we don't do any cash transaction, no white money, everything is on account, it's on document, right? Um so that we have an account of it, right? All our payments, even the tea and the snacks that we buy, it's all online. We tell them online only bank account transfer, no cash. Even if they say we'll give you know 20% discount and all no need everything is on statement on bank account. Okay. Become aware of these matters and have a plan on how these will be done on site. Right? Important. Become aware of it. Don't be ignorant. If you don't know, learn it. Right? Maybe today you can go back and read what are the in your own state. What are the requirements to start a church, right? What documents you need? What is uh you know what are the uh maybe land or certain certain things that you must show? Read about it, right? To start a religious trust. Some of them say you need two people in the trust. Some say you need seven, right? So what kind of trust are you going to start? Right? So all of that you do a good research. Typically the sending church will provide guidance on these matters. Right? Now if you are not a part of ascending church if you're doing this all alone by yourself with your core team read prepare learn get help from people and I think now in a time we are in it's very easy no just go to Google go to YouTube you have enough of things right so like you can listen to videos and listen to read things online and you can start a trust nowadays you can even do it online Right? It's so easy. Right? If you want an accounting firm, just go online accounting firm near me. They you get in touch with them. Tell them you want to start a religious trust. They'll say these are the documents. Give it to them. You can get it done in 10 days. A religious trust can get done. Certain documentation and uh but prepare yourself. Read up right. Don't feel this is not spiritual. No, it is spiritual. It is fulfilling the bigger vision that you have and you're doing it the right way. Okay. When Joshua went into the they sent into the promised land, they scouted the land. They saw the land. They said, "Wow, this land is really flowing with milk and honey." And to prove it, they brought grapes from there. Right? So there has to be the practical work. And then God will give us the wisdom to build effectively. Okay? We'll stop here. Any questions? >> Okay. Fraudent fund is uh uh they deduct okay they deduct a certain amount of money from your salary which goes to a fund uh a provident fund which later it's yours only. So the organization will put a certain amount and from your salary a certain amount is removed and both together it gets into a separate account provident fund account you'll have access to all that account always so that's used for there's a certain lock in period but it's yours it's the go it's a it's a benefit for us because the organization is also giving a certain portion and from your salary a certain portion is given and it's for your future. Yeah. Right. Read about it. Everything's online, right? Read about all these things, right? Any other questions? Was online. Any questions? We have only two minutes. Okay. So, what we'll do is next class we'll we'll break it down. Survey phase, preparation phase, launch phase. And we'll look at each each phase. And it's really exciting. I'm sure the Lord will give us a lot of ideas, a lot of thoughts. I hope you're learning. Yes. All right. Okay. We'll stop now. Uh have a great week ahead. We'll catch up next week. God bless you all.
