Video summary
The video centers on a creator's journey toward returning to YouTube content creation after taking a significant hiatus to address doctrinal errors and refine his understanding of Scripture. The speaker explains that during this break, he stepped away from being a teacher to become a consumer of other ministries, realizing the importance of humility in admitting when one has been wrong or holding false beliefs. He recounts how interactions with younger believers who were influenced by certain teachings sparked a desire to return but also highlighted his uncertainty about how to approach it without compromising integrity. This period of reflection led him to recognize that being publicly corrected is not shameful; rather, acknowledging mistakes demonstrates growth and truth-seeking, which ultimately strengthens credibility among viewers.
A major theme discussed is the difference between engaging in sports commentary versus theological debate on YouTube, where stakes are significantly higher due to eternal implications. The speaker contrasts lighthearted banter over team rivalries with serious doctrinal disagreements that often escalate into personal attacks and accusations of evil or demonic influence when people feel their beliefs are challenged. He emphasizes that many individuals react defensively because they tie their identity tightly to specific doctrines, making correction feel like an existential threat rather than a helpful opportunity for learning. This dynamic creates toxic environments where dialogue shuts down quickly once someone questions another's interpretation, preventing genuine spiritual growth and unity within the community.
The conversation also explores the concept of secondary versus primary issues in theology, using analogies such as medical symptoms pointing to underlying diseases or high blood pressure indicating heart problems. The speaker argues that even seemingly minor doctrinal points can reveal deeper foundational errors if left unchecked, so addressing them is essential for overall spiritual health. He shares how his own views on topics like the Trinity evolved through careful study and confrontation with scriptural evidence, leading him to repent of ignorance rather than prideful stubbornness. By treating every disagreement as a chance to learn from God's Word instead of defending ego-driven positions, he encourages viewers to adopt an attitude of openness where truth can be pursued together without fear or hostility.
Ultimately, the speaker concludes that love should drive correction just as Priscilla and Aquila gently guided Apollos in Acts 18, pulling him aside privately rather than publicly shaming him—a practice difficult but necessary on platforms like YouTube where public discourse often lacks nuance. He expresses hope for more "mini Corey" style channels that tackle false teachings with depth and grace while remaining accessible to average believers who may not have advanced theological training. The dialogue ends with mutual appreciation between the two speakers, affirming their shared commitment to truth-seeking despite differences in opinion or background, leaving both feeling encouraged to continue studying Scripture diligently and sharing what they learn faithfully moving forward.

Were they wrong for pulling Apollos
aside and correcting them?
>> Not at all.
>> Today, if Apollos was on YouTube and
Priscilla and Aquilla had a YouTube
channel, Apollos would have said he
called me out, man. No, he pulled him
this side and corrected me.
I I kind of want your thoughts. I don't
know if this something you can help me
with or not, but it's just kind of like
uh thoughts I've been having.
I've been wanting to get back to doing
content on YouTube for a while and I've
kind of dipped my toes in the water,
started and stopped and um mainly just
because I just didn't know really how I
want to approach it. So,
>> just for context, I took a huge major
hiatus because
>> Yeah, you did. And this might be
something good for somebody watching um
and even a content creator, but like I
was and I I don't have a problem saying
it like I was preaching false doctrine
and not necessarily on my channel like
entirely. Like there were a few videos I
had to remove like but I was uh one is
apostolic for like the first couple of
years of it and I came to realize I was
in era around like 2021
edging into 2022 and I just made the
decision to basically like stop doing
content and get my doctrine together and
actually understand the scriptures, how
to read the Bible and all of that. And
so I took a step back and just became a
consumer. I was like, I don't need to be
uh making content just because uh even
if I made a major doctrinal change. Now,
I didn't promote that heavily, but it
was something kind of just uh that I was
working through, but I still felt
conflicted um and felt like I didn't
need to be in a position of a teacher
unless I really took the time to study
study and really feel like it I can um
at the very least be really great on the
essentials and then everything else I'm
a little more open-handed and willing to
like continue and studying. But I guess
that kind of threw me a little bit for a
loop as to whether or not I should be
doing it to begin with. But I do see a
need, but I just don't really know where
I need to be directing that need to as
far as cuz I do feel a lot more
confident in my ability to teach. And I
will tell you this, I won't say his
name, but the young brother who probably
is like my age, I'm 33,
>> and I don't know, he he probably might
be a little younger. He might be right
age for all I know. uh that you've been
interacting with the last few days for
several months. I'm not saying I'm leave
his name out of it, but like something
about that inter interaction and my own
background. Now, I never was into
deliverance and all that, but just I had
overlaps in some of that with people I
was in ministry with.
>> Something about that just really fired
me up to like really want to get back. I
was already kind of filling that pool to
get back to it. But that really just
kind of fired me up to really get back
to it. But I just kind of don't want to
I don't want to I don't know what to how
to approach that though. And so I just
kind of wanted some counsel and wisdom
on that. So um
one you do you or you did what people
don't tend to do
that is to okay this is where I was
publicly now I'm not that way. That
shows humility. Most people don't have
that, right? To be able to I was on this
side of the track. And so now I I'm I I
step back in recognition that I I was in
error and I got to fix some things.
That part is okay. That that that's
good. That's to be commended.
So you got to figure out, well, if I if
I come back, what am I doing and why? or
am I just doing it just because? Or and
by the way, you don't necessarily have
to have a a solid purpose or guiding. I
just enjoy talking about God.
>> Heck, if you want to come back and just
talk, you know, do do the sports talk
stuff that that you're doing.
>> Amen.
>> Yeah.
>> Amen. That's cuz listen,
>> I watch two things
>> on on on uh uh on YouTube. Something
about God and something about sports.
>> Yeah. Yeah. you know, uh, and some of my
greatest arguments, you all don't know
this, my greatest arguments over sports.
>> I I I would agree, man, sports and
theology, I've spent a lot of time
talking kind of
>> I don't I talk trash to UT fans and I
talk trash to the&m fans cuz, you know,
in Texas, we hate UT and UT act like we
don't exist and they always talking
about us. We on your mind. So I like,
you know, so I enjoy that. And it's it's
just a way of just kind of relaxing and,
you know, it's no big deal. The Bible
talk though, you have the same passion,
but there's more meaning and so somebody
can get in their feelings even more.
>> Yeah. Like you can talk trash kind of
and and I think that's been kind of like
the relief for me with doing sports
recently was like I could talk about
sports. Um it's always clean. A lot of
people love that it's clean content. Um,
I don't necessarily take anything too
personal and there's a lot of personal
shots. So, it kind of has Oh, yeah. On
one end, it built up a lot of thin skin.
I mean, it fixed any thin skin I had and
built thick skin, but it also is the
stakes are so low. People that are
calling out name calling over sports
things. It's hilarious to me that how
personal people can get. But then I
think like with theology in the Bible,
um the stakes are so much higher than
any
>> it just feels like people have such a
hard time of like like they hold on too
tightly to things that um especially
when the scripture may say the opposite.
And I'm like I don't understand that
coming from the p perspective of a
person that lost an entire church
community to get away from false
doctrine. Like I never realized how hard
how tightly people hold on to stuff. Um,
>> oh man.
>> When they have when they're public
evidence that
>> if you publicly disagree with them, um,
they take it so personal, so much so
that you're the devil, you're going to
hell, you're evil, or you got a demon or
whatever.
>> Yeah.
>> That that's what we keep seeing
unfolding to the point to where I don't
even want you're dead to me. You don't
even exist. And everyone else, he
shouldn't exist or she shouldn't exist
in your eyes either. But you get so
personal as though you can't be wrong.
And the good part is, heck, if you're
still young,
it's cool being wrong when you're young.
It really is. No, that's not good.
>> I agree.
>> It's cool being wrong at any point in
time. Truth be told, because if you if
if you realize that you were wrong, you
have found out something new that you
didn't know before.
>> That's a good thing.
>> Some people take it like that's a bad
thing. I'm I No, I don't cuz it it it
makes me look bad.
I don't know. I I think in the last year
there's probably been two or three
things I've changed my opinion on
publicly or no big deal. I think it
makes you look good. Matter of fact, I
think I think it draws more people when
you can say
>> I was wrong. Now, you don't just say I
don't I was wrong just to draw folks.
No, you you were wrong. You meant it.
But um um I'm I'm seeing uh now I'm
doing my due when I'm when I am told
that I'm wrong about something, I seek
to do my due diligence to figure out
where I might be wrong. Okay, I I see
that point. Let me give you an example.
I just happen to look up something.
>> I just said earlier there's no such
thing as revival.
That's a shock to people's system
because hey, we're having a revival next
week.
We we've got these crusades that are
going around the countryside in the
1800s, 1900s, these revival.
And so where my sister take me to? My
sister Prica took me to Isaiah 85:6.
Text says, "Will you not yourself revive
us again that your people may rejoice in
you?"
So what's the text saying here? Because
in English use the word revive. Now in
Hebrew it's the word or in this way in
this way toai or to which is to make
alive
but it uses the word now it uses the
word um again or return to or to return
to living to return to be alive. So the
word alive again is fine
and the word alive again in our
vernacular is revive.
Well, here's the problem.
We're talking about a nation.
>> Yeah.
>> We're talking about the nation, not the
person, not the individual. And so, this
nation would have God and then leave
God. Have God. That's why I said earlier
there's only uh the only the only way
that you can remotely use this
biblically is in relation to Israel.
>> Yeah. I was going to say it's a
different uh understanding of siriology
like they weren't born again like we
are. Um, so a nation being revived is
connecting back to God because they've
forsaken him. So like in the context of
the Old Testament.
>> Yeah.
>> So the So the reason why I use that as
an example to piggy back off what you
just said,
>> someone says, "Corey, you're wrong. I
don't take that as a slap in the face or
a shot. I take that as as as marching
orders to go back to the text and look
and vet what I said. You might be You
know what? you know, you might be right
there. You might be right there. So,
that's how you do it rather than just
turning around and saying,
"You going to hell for disbelieving me."
>> And and can I if I could chime into
that. And that's kind of like why I want
to talk to you because I feel like um
although I think you get grouped in with
a lot of brothers that are like um
more I guess you could say not exposed
ministry but like constantly pointing
out falsehoods or false teachings and I
think you get grouped in with them a
little bit more haphazardly because I
think
>> um you the way I've always consumed your
content is that you kind of like use
kind of like a case study of someone
teaching something and then use that as
an opportunity to teach the truth of it.
And you'll go deep. You'll go into the
Greek, the Hebrew, and you'll do a deep
dive on what the Bible says about set
topic. And it's less about exposing the
person's false teachings. You do that,
but it's more so taking claim by claim
that they make about the scriptures and
then saying, "Where is that in the
Bible?" What they're trying to say is in
the Bible, isn't. And I thought you
always done well with that. Um, but I
think people group you in with just like
he's his only motive is just to expose
what is false and that he is right. I've
even seen people not understand like
even the old the two the oldest they was
like your channel name and they'll say
he's the smart Christian versus like
smart Christians just that small
distinction
>> and and just continue to kind of like
straw man like I think
>> that's always been something that
bothered me Brad. I it just
>> Yeah,
>> I'm not a heresy hunter. I'm not a
discernment channel. Um but if you're
teaching heresy, um I'm not hunting you
down. I get so many videos every day
sent to me, cover this, cover that. And
I and I just can't and one I don't want
to. And so I don't hunt anything down,
but a lot of stuff just comes by. All
right, you know what? I don't like that.
And and we've kind of maybe me and some
folks in the chat have been talking
about or I seen some other folks bring
it up. So, let me yeah, let me go ahead
and address it. Address it. And I do
want to kind of go a little bit deeper.
I don't want to just say, "Yeah, that
guy's going to hell. That's just
horrible." Whatever. Well, let's look at
where this is where this is in the text
and how we how we flesh it out. Um, and
then I want you to see my work cuz I
might be wrong. I don't I want to be
teaching even if there's something that
bad has happened. I want to use it as a
teaching um as a as a teaching moment.
Yeah. Or as you said, as a case study.
And I I I know I get grouped in a lot
with a lot of like, okay, fine. All
right. It is what it is. I'm not g I'm
not gonna cry about it. You know, they
>> um and I don't have a problem with with
with the the quote discernment
um ministries, the um um oh, what's his
name? Um Shine on Revilian Truth or um
uh the uh the messed up church and
others
all things theology. Yeah. I don't have
a problem with being grouped in with
them. I I I really don't.
>> And a lot of them, they'll throw in, you
know, some teaching.
>> Me, I want to go further. And so, I may
not have I'm doing less and less of the
five and 10 minute, five minute videos
over there on biblical response and
doing more of the
>> it might be 15 20 minutes just to add a
couple extra. The other day we covered
something that the guy who shall remain
nameless and there was a person in the
com in the comment section. This is
exhausting. I'm we're doing a deep dive
in it. That's this exhausting. Okay.
Well, fine. I don't tell you.
>> So,
>> yeah, people just don't Yeah. I don't
know. I think people
I didn't get it early on. And I'm
talking about early on. I didn't realize
how much time went by. I've been
following your work since like really
early on um when you were in the other
location and before you upgraded all the
quality and all that stuff. And I
>> the same location. I just I just turned
the desk around. Actually, I got a desk.
I didn't have I didn't have a desk. I
had a child's desk.
>> Uh it's the same room. Same room. Same
room.
>> Money. Well, there we go. Since you
upgraded the way it looked though,
>> I I bought a can of paint and some
lights and that was it.
>> There we go. No, I love that. Um, yeah.
I I think my biggest thing is I don't
necessarily there is an area and a place
for um dealing with false teachings
because it's we're called to um deal
with them because they hurt other
Christians. And then there's a lot of
Christians that are just ultimately
deceived. But I guess and I so I take
that passionately because I really was
passionate about something that was
false. And um it didn't really take that
much for me to be um persuaded out of
it. But it did require kind of like
small little moments of chipping away.
Like someone would say something. I
would watch a video. Someone would send
me a video on something. I'm like, "Oh,
I never thought about it like that."
That's kind of like like I thought I had
silver like uh like the person we
mentioned. I thought I had my own silver
bullet verses to prove oneness. I'm
like, "Oh, you can't convince me out
because I have these silver bullets."
And then I see people address those
silver bullets. And I'm like, "Oh, well,
I guess I don't have any more. I had no
more silver bullets." So, I had to
really consider maybe I was wrong
because I just wasn't the arguments that
I did have were not holding up to
scripture when they were really dealt
with. And I think there's a place for
like dealing with the text of when it
comes to these false teachings that are
out there. And like again with the
brother, it really bothered me cuz here
was what I here was my thought. I had a
whole plan if this would have worked out
where I know the guy's not going to talk
to you. So I'm like, "Okay, I' I
understand pretty much how to deal with
this topic.
>> Talk to me then." And I'm I'm nobody. I
don't have a page. I don't have a
thousand videos talking about this,
this. I'm not part of any type of
discernment or exposure ministry per se
of anything like that. But hey, I hold
to the same view that Corey holds to or
I wouldn't even have mentioned it, but
I'm like, "Yeah, I have verses. I have
silver bullet verses pertaining to
this." And I literally was just going to
take the same arguments that you would
make and make him have to basically deal
with it. And that was really all that I
was hoping. So, I was a little bit
discouraged that he kind of backed off
of that. And so I'm just like I just
want so for my heart I'm just like we
need more um mini Corey type channels
out there that I feel like that are
dealing with some of these teachings.
>> Uh and we need to continue to hold their
feet to the fire. I don't know enough
about Abedo to know whether or not he
is. I said his name but whatever. I
don't know whether or not
>> where his heart is or whatever. I don't
know if he's authentic or not. That that
really doesn't matter to me. That
matters more to him and God. It matters
the people that are influenced by the
teachings he has. And
>> for me,
>> that matters way more to me.
>> It matters to me. He thinks that I am uh
against him. I'm really I'm really not.
I'm really not. As a matter of fact, um
if anyone were if anyone cared to just
think about it for a second, think about
the people who have been the most
vitriolic towards me, whether we're
right whether whether they were right or
wrong. every last one of those people
that have been vitriolic towards me. Um,
I've all every last one of them I I've
extended my hand just to hey, let's
let's let's speak. Let's see if we can
uncover some stuff. Uh, most recently,
uh, me and Jay Williams of of Global
Impact. Now, we sitting there just
sending stuff back and forth to each
other, you know. So, man, listen, and I
tell folks, listen, I'm I'm I'm the
coolest person you'll ever know. I'm you
you'll love me more than you love your
parents. I'm joking. But I say what I
say. Now I think also by the way and
it's probably a little bit on me.
>> Um there is a new breed of males today.
>> They just really are.
>> We talked about this and I agree with
you.
>> See me and uh it's not like me and
Marlin go way back or me and Marlon
Brown go way back. No. No. But Marlin's
the type of man I can say something play
around and kick and and and and jive
with him. Doesn't bother him at all.
Nobody. Because he recognized, hey
Corey, I don't mean nothing about that
or what. We just you know we just
talking, right? Right? I said the man 28
years old, he just look rough, right? He
he know how he knows how old he is. I
know how old he is. So, but nowadays
when you disagree with people, they take
it and I mean the males, not the
females, but the males
>> take it as though you have stolen their
wife and kicked their dog. It's like I
just I disagree. Hey, but if I'm wrong,
>> why don't you show me? Why don't you
They They're so emotionally wrapped up
and and and they cause themselves to Let
me just say this. They paint a narrative
that's not there and it's and it's born
out of feelings. I like I'm I don't want
to talk to you. I don't have to talk. I
would love to, but I'm not after you.
You literally talk you you literally
brought it up first. You said that on
Marlin's channel, I'll I'll I'll debate
you. Marlin said, "No, I don't want to
debate you." And then he put in the
chat, I'd be willing to debate Cory.
We'd probably have a better better
debate if I debated Cory. I'd ra I'd be
willing to do that. And then I'm in the
chat. I said, "Well, listen. I'll take
you up on it. I never asked you for a
debate or anything like that. I would
love to talk to you. Hey, let's like I
talk to anybody.
>> I'm not after you like I'm handing you.
And so it's it's a this is where you are
a better example. I'm not going to say a
better person, but a better example of
how it should be. Your pride is not in
the way. Heck, you take down ver uh uh
videos of your channel and take a step
back because pride is not an issue.
>> So that that that's how that's how it
is. I can disagree with a person
vehemently and then love you. And as a
matter of fact, if I disagree with you
vehemently,
>> uh, and someone talk trash about you,
move, Brad, I'm I'm I'mma knock this
dude out. That's That's kind of how I've
always been. Um, I talk direct and frank
and firm, but we're men. Why is that Why
is that Why do I have to explain this to
you nowadays? I I get the perception I
get the perception that it's not what
they make it out to be where it's like
because you could talk about my doctrine
all day blah blah blah is no problem.
I'm like, "No, I don't believe that for
a second." Because that is like 98 to
99%
of all that Cory deals with. And maybe
Cory, cuz he's funny. He has a sense of
humor. He's actually being very
lighthearted about something that's
serious, which is pushing false
teaching. But he makes it more
light-hearted, fun, probably belittling.
Yeah.
>> And sometime the one or two% of like
little remarks people just kind of take
a little bit I think
>> too personally. But I don't think that's
the issue. I genuinely just think they
don't like their their um doctrines
being put out to the forefront and what
it does to their cuz what this is what I
think they're not saying but if it's
really happening you and hopefully
eventually people like me will equip
people and then they're going to start
to challenge him and you get more and
more commons. You don't get like the
typical 98% 99%
of your videos getting liked when they
deal with these false falsehoods you're
pushing. You start getting more and more
comments disagreeing with you. You start
get more and more comments saying this
is false and holding your feet to the
fire and you start to see the influence
of somebody like maybe you giving people
truth and then people questioning and
making things a little bit less
comfortable um for people that have
falsehoods. That's what I that's kind of
what I think is really and again I don't
know but that's kind of what I think is
going on is the is causing more push
back to them and it makes them
uncomfortable even though they maybe
really do sincerely hold to something
that's false but they want to be
comfortable in holding to something
that's false and I think you don't allow
room for them to do that and I think
that's a good thing because had there
not been people like you for me I would
have been held comfortable in oneness
heresy with looking at it now I'm like
questioning okay people that I'm
teaching this to am I sending them on
the road to hell because I'm teaching
them falsehoods now I don't even know
for sure I wouldn't even been able to
guarantee that I was myself because I
had such a false view but it's just to
say like the fact that I had such error
and was comfortable in teaching it not
getting much push back but running
across brothers like you other guys um
your other friend Damon Richardson
uh back when uh that dealt with the
oneness heresy man I'm telling you
changed the game for me um I don't think
I'm more humbled than anyone else. But I
do think it forced me to have to
confront whether or not my doctrine was
solid. I'm like, I kept on seeing it get
challenged. So, here's the problem.
And the only people if if if I had a
rule, if YouTube
said, "Corey, you can change a rule."
I would say we need to institute a
personality test so that no insecure
person can have a channel.
>> That's funny. Yeah,
>> because the people
I started thinking about the people who
who I have or they have issues with
every last one of them. Insecure.
>> Yeah.
>> Listen, love Damon Richardson, but
insecure. I can't disagree with you, and
if I disagree with you, I'm racist and
I'm beholden to to white supremacist the
really insecure. Um the the the the
Young Prophet in extremely insecure. The
guy in Houston has made 100 videos about
me. Extremely insecure. Super insecure.
You can't disagree with him for nothing.
Really? Really? Chaplain Trey in the um
in the chat now. He's he he disagrees
with a few things about me. He's a
thousand% wrong, but I'm not so insecure
because he's wrong.
>> Yeah.
>> Right. And I'm talk to you about it
>> and I'm saying it that way. So, let's
say let let me put up Trey. We can put
up Trey for a second. Chaplain Trey
thinks I'm wrong.
>> I think he's wrong. Now, not on the m
the the 90 plus% of the things we agree
on, right?
>> Yeah.
>> I think he's wrong on on how he's trying
to tear apart my little hermeneutics.
That's that's fine,
>> right?
>> I must not I must not believe what I say
I believe to be torn up because he's
covering and and trying to go through
what I'm saying.
>> That's exactly how I can't believe what
I believe cuz I'm torn apart and upset
with him. best insecure.
>> It's insecure. I'm And I agree with you
and this is what I was saying cuz the
more you've challenged it and I've seen
every dynamic of somebody that holds to
egregious falsehoods. There are some
things that we might not we might think
is wrong or error, but like doesn't
amount to. So like you might be if
someone's a Calvinist, someone's not.
You may think that their sitiology isn't
is wrong, but it's not like as
consequential as uh can a Christian have
a demon or do you have to speak in
tongues to be saved or do you have to be
baptized in a certain name to be saved?
Those are much more consequential
conversations. And so yeah, I I but what
I've noticed is every time it starts out
cordial, it starts out like there's door
open and you're engaging with their
beliefs and then more and more it just
seems like
>> they push you away. And the only thing I
can conclude is they're no long once
they open that door up, they're no
longer allowed to be comfortable in
their beliefs without getting push back
and they take it out on you. That's how
I've perceived it cuz I've seen it
happen more and more and more as if they
open the door to you initially and then
after a while or not just you but people
like you and then
>> when it happened with Pagani
>> when it happened with Pagani by the way
Pagani y'all I haven't said this but
behind the scenes
>> Pagani acts a lot better than these
other guys do. So let me let me give him
his flowers on that. He act he acts
better than a lot of these people do. He
he really does. And I've seen him you
let me let me adjust this. Let me change
that.
Well, at first though, we were talking
and I said, "Guys, if I can't push back,
if I can't ask questions, then then we
not we're not really friends. We can't
be friends. I can't ask you a question."
Right? Um, with with Mike Signarelli,
I'm trying to be cordial,
but I can't ask you a question. So,
there was a time where it was me and
Signarelli and I think Marcus Rogers,
um, JP, and it was somebody Oh,
Abendigo.
>> Mhm. and I'm going to ask them
questions.
Their biggest point, and there was one
time where Pagani was on there, so it
was twice where their biggest issue was,
"Hey, Cory, you said this and the way
you said it." All right, y'all forgive
me. I apologize. Isaiah Salvar's in
chat. Isaiah, can you forgive me? I
apologize. Listen, I'm not trying to I'm
not trying to just be mean to be me. I
don't I'm not a jerk.
>> Not always. Sometimes I could be. No
problem. No problem. So, y'all forgive
me? Good. Yeah. So, we So, it's almost
like we just want to be friends and no
push back. Huh? I got a question. No, we
don't want your qu No, I got a question.
Me, I can't ask you a question. All we
can do is just be cordial so that we
don't ruffle anyone's feathers. So, we
ought to be comfortable going off a
cliff. If I see danger coming and you
don't tell me, see, I believe this
wholeheartedly. If you see I got some
lettuce in my teeth or something in my
nose or something on my back and you
don't tell me,
we can't ride together. cuz I need you
looking out for me. I don't I can't I
don't have a mirror so I can't see what
I look like in the front and I can't see
what I look like in the back and you
don't tell me and you see it.
>> I'm going to a restaurant that's known
for having food poisoning or roaches and
rats and you don't tell me the bridge is
washed out and you don't tell me. You
see me going, you don't tell me, I got
to leave you alone. We We're not We're
not friends. You don't want to help me.
I'll never forget. I'll never forget. I
was in high school
>> and
um this before I had a car or did I have
either I had a car? No, I had a car.
Yeah, I had a car. I wrecked my car.
That's what it was. And so after
football practice, I'm riding there's a
late bus that would take us home.
>> Mhm.
>> I'm messing I messed around and got off
on the wrong one because I thought my
buddy uh was going to get off um No, no,
I was going my buddy's house, but he
went home so I had to walk a good ways.
I had to walk about I don't know 2 three
miles and I'm tired. So I'm coming down
the street. This I'm on 56th Street. I'm
going to 39th Street.
>> So it's a good wave for me. Right. It's
in the evening and what happens? The
rain starts coming down.
>> Dang.
>> Some buddies of mine are driving by and
they honk their horn and wave at me.
>> Mhm.
>> That's crazy. I was getting up my hand
and been waved back and like and I now I
wasn't saved so I I'm cussing. I'm
cussing. Wait a minute. What you waving
at me for when you can stop?
>> Like all they were all kind of blankly
blanks.
>> You didn't even love me enough to stop.
Matter of fact, you should not have even
acknowledged me.
>> I'd have been cuz I didn't know. I
didn't know it was them. I see him
tomorrow. I said, "Where were y'all
going?" "Oh, we was going to so and so."
So they even drove by my house. It's
raining. They have their windshield
wipers on.
Hey, Corey.
Man, I wonder I should have gave them
the finger and and and went to their
house. Oh,
>> yeah.
>> You can't help me. That's fine. And
sometimes helping you tells you
something's wrong,
>> right?
>> Tell me my breath stinks. Tell me I have
an odor.
Tell me, you know, you you missed a spot
when you shaved. Tell me you whatever.
Tell me,
>> am I your enemy because I tell you the
truth? Well, for some people, yes. Yes,
Paul, you are my enemy because you told
me the truth and I don't want to have
anything to do with you. Okay, fine.
I've never I've never went out to hurt
that young man. I've never set out to
say, as a matter of fact, I think he's
an error. I don't want to see you an
error. So, I want to pull you aside and
talk to you. You know, kind of like the
way that that that that happened with
Apollos. Were they wrong for pulling
Apollos aside and correcting them?
>> Not at all.
>> Today, if Apollos was on YouTube and
Priscilla Aquilla had a YouTube channel,
Apollos would have said, "He called me
out, man." No. He pulled him this side
and corrected me
>> privately. We don't know what hold make
this point.
>> We don't know everything Apollos was
saying and we don't know everything they
corrected him. In other words, the
conversation was help was kept private.
But Apollos is now one of the guys who
people in the church saying, "I'd rather
be like Apollos or like Paul or Peter."
>> Oh yeah.
>> Put him to the side personally,
privately, and just say, "Hey, all
right."
>> So, we can't do that nowadays on
YouTube. You got my number. You can call
me. You can ask me a question or if you
want to make a video, that's fine. I'm
not going to be bothered by it, but hey,
you want to talk?
>> No. Okay, fine.
No, that's good. That's real good. Yeah,
I don't I don't disagree with any of
that. The the Apollos example is Yeah,
that's fire. I I completely agree with
you. I just think that um
yeah, I I think I think it's really
helpful for people to just question how
they view certain things with doctrine.
Like I don't see how like when people
just try to relegate, oh, this guy's
caught up on a secondary issue. It's
just a secondary issue and he's making
it into something bigger. Like if it's a
secondary issue, doesn't mean that you
can just, you know, be I guess
willy-nilly and wrong about it. But
there this whole contention that like
secondary issues are just something that
you just kind of let just leave hang
like you can be a lot you can make that
about anything. You be like oh living
with my girlfriend is a secondary issue.
Uh you can make a lot of things like the
argument of secondary issues is
dangerous sometimes because it's like
God does care about like you say our
walk. So it's like I can create a bunch
of things. Am I going to go to hell for
living with my girlfriend? Not
necessarily.
>> So let me say this. Let me say this cuz
you're on something good.
Secondary issues indicate the primary
issue.
>> Yes.
>> So the secondary issue, I'm cool with
with with living and sin. I'm all right
with this. I'm fine with that. Leave me
alone. Let me this. Let me alone.
>> Y
>> that tells us that maybe the primary
issue hadn't been taken care of. So the
secondary issue of let's say it's demons
or generational curses. You're good with
that. That's going to be that's going to
be an issue relating ultimately to the
primary issue. I got you, Miss Smith.
I'm gonna get you. That's an issue
relating to the primary issue and it
might indicate something wrong with the
heart.
>> The secondary issues almost like these
symptoms when you go to the doctor. Hey
doc, I got some swelling in my feet.
That's a secondary issue that's pointing
to a primary issue. That's a symptom of
the primary issue.
>> So, I need to go and check and see what
why is your blood pressure so high? The
fact that your blood pressure high is a
problem,
>> but it's secondary to a primary issue
that might be your heart.
>> So
>> that's the issue. Man, I'm so tired. I'm
lethargic. I got these headaches. Well,
that might be an issue relating to the
brain.
>> So this is why we cover those things cuz
it'll point to, oh, I see why you think
that because of so and so. So the reason
why you think you can have a demon
directly is tied to your view of
salvation which clearly is a primary
issue.
>> Exactly. Exactly. And I'm going to let
you go ahead cuz I know you got more
questions. The last thing I was going to
say is just like I use that same line of
reasoning for why I denied the trinity
or did not subscribe to it. I'm like
that's a secondary issue. I believe
Jesus is God. I believe in the father,
son, holy spirit. They are all the one
God. We have no issues there. like the
primary matters I feel good about. But
guess what? When you dug deeper, you
started to realize that I wasn't certain
on if the son was eternal. Was he born
because he was born of a virgin? When we
talk about the son, are we talking about
the eternal son? So the more you dug
deeper into my theology, you started to
learn, oh, there was a part of me that
was ignorant and denying
>> was Jesus fully eternal as the son of
God. And it was it was some partial
denial in there that I had to repent of.
And so that's why I'm saying like
>> somebody asked me yesterday I think it
was yesterday somebody asked me um can
oneness be saved? I said well yes and
no.
>> Um here is how a oneness cannot be
saved. Even that oneness believes that
Jesus is God. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Here's how you can't be saved.
>> The Jesus that saves you determines
whether you go to heaven or hell. Which
Jesus? the Jesus who is God
and if he's God, how long has he been
God, right? He he just became so was he
always eternally that way. So yes,
that's why it becomes important. That's
why you have to believe certain things.
Now I said this and and I I might get
some push back if a person is still
stuck on and concerned legitimately
and I think he's still I think he's also
the father. I think he is. I'm not sure.
He seems like he is.
>> And they're wrestling with that. Okay.
Cuz don't we have some 8-year-olds and
nine year olds that can't explain the
Trinity?
>> Yes, we do.
>> Right.
>> Mean I got to be of a certain age and a
certain intellectual acumen in order to
be saved. No. No. Or else you wouldn't
be saved in the first place. You big
dummies. All of us. Big dummies. We all.
And so he there are some areas he wants
us to grow in grace and knowledge of the
Lord, but some things
>> it might take a bit might take a little
bit little bit time to kind of fully
comprehend all of that.
>> And I think I sincerely was just
ignorant. So for me it was an ignorance
but it was in an echo chamber of
ignorance. So when I was out that echo
chamber I immediately started to like
well I can't reconcile this with
scripture. I can't reconcile this um
view anymore. But yeah thank you so
much. We didn't act we didn't get to
like any specific recommendations for
me, but believe it or not, everything we
talked about literally kind of gotten me
in the right frame of mind. I think I
know what I'm going to do. You going to
start the channel back up? I appreciate
it.
