Ukrainian Special Forces carried out a daring operation near the border; Russians surrendered

Following the initial capture, the interrogations of the prisoners yielded valuable intelligence regarding the specific positions of Russian army units in that sector of the front. This successful raid is not an isolated incident but part of a series of effective operations conducted by the 6th Regiment this summer. In a previous mission within one of the operational sectors, special forces secretly infiltrated enemy lines, killed one soldier, and captured three others while confiscating their documents, weapons, and communications equipment. During that same operation, the team also discovered a fawn and successfully evacuated it to a safe area, highlighting the dual focus on military objectives and humanitarian concerns. The unit has also detailed a significant operation aimed at liberating the village of Andriyivka Klishchiyivka in Donetsk Oblast, which was previously known by its Soviet name, Iskra. Russian troops had attempted to seize this settlement on the Oleksandrivka front for an extended period using small groups that gradually infiltrated and held positions within the village. A comprehensive operation led by soldiers from the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces, in collaboration with a psychological operations center, successfully displaced the Russian forces and reestablished Ukrainian control over the territory. The footage released shows the ground phase of this mission, including the advance of special forces and the surrender of 30 Russian servicemen, while those who continued to resist were eliminated. These recent successes contribute to a broader strategic shift on the battlefield, as Ukrainian forces have regained control of almost the entire Dnipropetrovsk region. Currently, Russian troops maintain positions only near the settlement of Dakney, where fighting continues. The ongoing operations by Ukrainian troops are focused on driving remaining Russian forces out of the occupied areas and restoring full Ukrainian control over the region.
