Video summary

In this episode of Fanatics Live, host Joe opens a fresh case of 2026 Eminent Baseball cards for a "Take or Pass" Hit Draft, marking the third installment of this series. The unboxing begins with a roll of the dice to determine the opening position, which lands on six, forcing the group to start from the right side of the cart. As they pop open the first pack, the excitement immediately rises with the reveal of Wyatt Langford, a unique one-of-one art card that is celebrated for its artistic design and rarity. The atmosphere shifts between the thrill of discovering these special items and casual banter about the new studio space, which offers significantly more room and parking compared to their previous location. The draft proceeds with several notable picks and strategic passes, including a gold Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Jason Dominguez, both of whom are passed on by the chat participant Hippopotamus before eventually being claimed by others. The group also discusses the current performance of players like Guerrero Jr., speculating on potential injuries or pressure from his large contract, while noting that the Eminent product line has evolved with improved photography, better design elements, and new features like baseball-themed attributes and team logo patches. Throughout the process, they highlight various short prints and numbered autos, such as a gold Marcelo Meyer and Tyler Soderstrom, emphasizing how the checklist continues to improve year over year with more creative possibilities for collectors. The unboxing reaches its climax with the reveal of Roki Sasaki, Fernando Tatis Jr., Matt Olsen, and a standout Starbound card featuring Daniel Rodriguez in red ink for the Cardinals, which is noted as a rare short print likely numbered low in the organization. The final pack yields Jackson Merrill in green for the Padres, completing the case with a mix of high-value hits and strategic passes that define the "Take or Pass" format. By the end of the session, all cards have been distributed among the participants, concluding another successful break where the group enjoyed the enhanced quality of the Eminent releases and looked forward to potentially doing more drafts in the future.

That is really cool. All right. Well, yeah. I don't know who the artist is. Oh, this is the artist on the back. Yeah, good call. I was like, did Wyatt Langford sign here again? >> All right. Well, Hippopotamus, you're up. Is he trying to big time why Langford BTW is already trying to big time why Langford I think >> Yeah, we're I mean we're just going to keep asking until you can pass pass pass and then take or I guess you would have to we'd have to the other guys would have to pass too but you could pass three times and if these two guys pass then you can take take it there. >> Okay, we have to go in order. >> You'll take at three. So pass pass take. There you go. That's also That's also a one of one. All aboard the Big Hit Express on a chew Tuesday. >> Nice. That is art. All right. So, we're starting from the right. So, we'll keep going from the right. All right. Next up, some gold Vlad Guerrero Jr. 17 out of 50. Hippopotamus, you're up. Yeah, he is having a kind of a tough year. >> You think there's some like some injuries? Pass all. So, Hippomotamus says pass all palm. >> Palm will take here. >> Yeah, maybe it's the case of it doesn't I mean, does it seem like he's lost a step just because he got paid? Or maybe it's the pressure of being paid here. >> Perhaps he's like, "Now I got to live up to this big contract." >> All right, so Oh, sorry. Pawn's going to take at the number four spot. >> We're going from the right. >> Yeah, maybe. Yeah, I I wouldn't be surprised BTW if like in the off season they're like, "Yeah, he was carrying some shoulder injury or something like that. Just show." Oh, so you should I linger on this a little bit longer for you guys? Here is Jason Dominguez. 82 out of 99. >> Linger a little bit more. >> All right. So, hippopotamus Pass on all. Pass. Pass. Death skis. >> Pass. And then Hippopot said pass all. Pass. Pass. Back to death skis. >> Pass again. Palm. >> I guess it would go to you whether you take or pass, >> right? So Jason Dominguez will go to We'll just say spontane. >> It sure is. Yeah, BTW. I realized it was going to go to him anyway. >> Yeah, this is my first time doing these, so got to cut me some slack here. Cut me some slack. BTW breathing down my neck. You dummy. Why are you asking him? >> That's what BTW is saying. God, you idiot. What about the last two? He's going to get it by default anyway, >> stupid. All right, next up is Marcela Meyer. >> I know we got to write all these names down eventually. Marcelo Meyer gold 44 out of 50. Hippopotamus says pass all in the chat. All right. So, desks Pass all. Pass. Pass. Pass. >> Pass. Palm. >> All right. Spot number nine, ASU Rick, we got a hit draft going on here. Hit draft. Except you you have the option to take or pass. A take or pass draft, whatever you want to call it. Oh, the if you were wondering about the product, this is eminent baseball. Yeah, these are kind of giant cards. They are 8 by10s. All on card autos, all numbered art possibilities, short print possibilities, Tyler Soderstrom, possibilities here. 93 out of 99. >> Yeah, they got patches now. I like the the the half the baseball. I haven't seen one of those yet, but those look pretty cool. All right. Hippopotamus says pass all. So pass pass deskies. I guess you would get it anyway. Yeah, they've done football, baseball, basketball, even hockey. >> All right, so that's for spot number eight. Yeah, I feel like the design, their approach, the checklist. I mean, here are the few different short prints that you can get in dimensional impact starbound. The attributes now have like pieces of a base or a baseball in it, right? Multi-ign autos. Everything's numbered to at least 99. I think this the design looks a lot better this year, too. They keep improving that. I mean, these have always look cool, but they're like, you know, continuing to put more work into the design, which is nice. >> All right, next one is Roki Sasaki for my Dodgers. Yeah, I think so, too. I've I've really enjoyed all the Eminent releases, but they seem to really take it to another level. Like the photography and how they designed that is a lot better. You know, they're adding more like, >> you know, team logos with the team name to it. >> 22 out of 99. >> So, yeah, I think that there's like there's under wraps stamps for like debuts and rookies as well. So, Yeah. So, this has been pretty enjoyable. All right. Uh, Hippopotamus, >> the Roki. Oh, did was that a pass all on the Roki hippot? I'm sorry. Can you reconfirm that again? There was a lot in the chat. Oh, that wasn't this round. Okay, that's what I thought. All right. So, you're going to pass on all these or you're going to take. >> Sorry, I saw Desky's take and then you said take. >> Sorry, I just want to make sure I get get this right. You'll take so hypopus will take We'll give that to spot number one. >> That's the row key. Detroit. >> All right, Padres's Fernando Tatis Jr. 74 out of 99. >> All right. Hippopotamus >> pass death skis >> pass. So hippopotamus by default you'll get the >> junior Draft spot number seven. >> Two more to go here. It's kind of strong here. Let's see what we got. All right, good luck, guys. Here is >> Matt Olsen 82 out of 99. Uh, hippopotamus passes. Desks passes. Hippopotamus gets it. >> So, it'll be spot number six. All right, one more right here. >> Right. Good luck. Good luck. Good luck. Whoa. What's this? >> Whoa. Starbound. Rananiel Rodriguez, starbound for the Cardinals. Look at the red ink right there. Man, that looks really nice with the debut stamp right here. Yeah, I haven't seen a lot of Cardinals in the cases that we've been doing. >> So, that's a that's a short print. That's pretty sweet. >> Yeah, Terry's saying that he's like one or two or three in the organizational ranks. All right, Hippopotamus. What do you think? >> One in 35 odds hit those, says Rick. AK saying all team inc color match on those star bounds. Nice. I want to see some more of those. Yeah, they did a good job with the shore princess here. >> Passing red hippopotamuses take. >> All right. So that's the starbound. And so death skis you're going to get the last one. that was uh oh check that that's spot number two and then death skis at spot number five will be this one right here. All right, Deskies. Good luck. Let's see what we got here. Big finish here. Big finish. Come on. All right. It's green. Green Padres's green. Jackson Merrill. >> 10 out of 99 on that one. There you go. Death skis. There you go everybody. Another fun draft break in the books. Appreciate everybody getting in. I'm Joe and I'll see everybody next time. Maybe we'll do another one of these later tonight. Thanks.
