Trying ALL of the Godzilla Collab Crisps In Japan

Hello everybody and welcome back. Well, I I'd say welcome back. This is the first of maybe the second in this series. The first episode we ate all of the Godzilla burgers. And this time we're going to eat all of the Godzilla crisps because apparently in Japan there's a promo on at the moment which you could basically get like crisps that already exist, but this time they're limited edition packaging and maybe flavors. I don't know. I don't eat crisps that much. So I set out on a mission to go around all of the combinis and supermarkets to see if I could collect all of the Godzilla crisps. Out of eight of them I got a whopping three. I got three crisps. Every store I went to either had two or one type of these crisps. So I don't know what's going on with that. So I was like, well, that's that video scrapped anyway. Not doing it anymore, I guess. And then Whitney MVP Whitney managed to find the uh website that makes the companies and you're like, "Oh, you could just order it on there." Makes the compa- Did I say makes the companies? Oh my god. She found a website of the company that makes the crisps and you can just order them all on there. So a massive ba- massive box of uh of crisps from them. And would you believe out of the eight limited edition packets we have seven. With three duplicates. I don't know how this happened. You see You see the limited like the crisps here. You see You see those two in the bottom? Those two in the middle? They're the same packet of crisp. But there's two variations of packaging for said crisps. So then I was like, "Oh, wait. Hold on. Well, I've got three duplicates, right? This is the one with one other alternate uh packet." They only gave me one of this packet of crisp. And they gave me three of a different variety that have the same packaging. Um I don't I've I've ordered from the company and I still don't have all the packets, but I do have all the flavors. Really, that's the important part. This is part of the collaboration Godzilla versus Karamucho, the spicy and tasty showdown of the century. Sriracha, it's Sriracha chicken? I don't know. Let's try this one and rate it how many Godzillas out of 10. >> Cuz I want to keep the top I want to keep the front with me. Yeah. >> It smells like barbecue crisps. Money money money money shot, ridged for more flavor. They're not spicy. So, I don't think Godzilla's winning this one. Where do you want to go here? You go, you want to have one? Godzilla, do you want one? It's nice. It's not particularly crazy on the spice, although after a second one, it's starting to build. >> Have two little ones. >> I know what the ladies like. >> It is nice, isn't it? Mhm, okay. I gave the Sriracha packet the one that has supposed to have two alternatives, probably for a good reason cuz it's very popular. I'M GOING TO GIVE THAT like eight out of 10 Godzillas. Yeah, I'd say I'd say it's pretty good. Pretty good. It's not like there's always room for improvement. We have I don't know what what what's on this packaging. Is this What kind of Godzilla is this? Show Shonen Shojo Godzilla? I don't know. It's the one that ends up becoming like volcanic, I think. Sweet and hot yang yang yum chicken flavor. Yang yum. So, this is Korean? Okay, so we got another chicken. We've got the packaging lovely. I like the presentation. So, let's open this up. Bag shot. Does it look good? Yang yum chicken. Oh my god, this is big. Sweeter. This is nice. [clears throat] It's not as savory and it's not as spicy. It's definitely sweet. I've never had yang yum chicken before. Have I? Oh, never mind. Godzilla, do you like yang yum chicken? He likes Young Gamera chicken. The thing with Japan is normally the crisps you get are sweet. Yeah, they're they're just like not what you were expecting. Like you get choosing on your crisps over here, they're sort of like sweet. It's like no, I want the tangy savoriness. And this is kind of falling into that category. I'm going to give that I'm going to give that five Godzilla heads out of 10. It's not offensive, it's just kind of meh. I'd rather have something else. Next one. Now we've got the volcanic Godzilla. There he is in all his flaming glory. I can't remember what happens with this. Does he absorb the power of an active volcano? I think it's something like that. Hey, what's up? Another long day? Just try our yummy spicy Karamucho and say hi with three eyes. >> [laughter] >> This is one of the packets that I was actually able to find on my misadventures. I like how he's got little little character. I think that's their character. This It's No, it's not Shin-chan, but it's it's the same style as Shin-chan. Crisps out. Crisps out. Look, there's like millions of them in there. Three different packets, three different styles. So, I mean that's a single crisp right there. You know, you're you're not going to have one. That's what you you'll grab a big handful of. And um Oh dear. Yum yum yum. No, don't spit them out. Come on. Spoilers. I've actually had these ones before. I think the only difference is they have Godzilla packaging on them. These are really popular. These are the ones that I also found everywhere. I think generally most convenience and supermarkets in Japan sto- stock these kind of crisps. On a sandwich, they're quite nice. Although that that ridge one we started with that's the texture you want. It can sit like the the structural integrity for a packet of crisps that's what you want. I'd have to give these ones seven Godzilla heads. They're more messy. Like the best way to eat these is just like down the packet. You know, but you can't do that in public, can you? You can't run around. And you wouldn't do that anyway cuz you're IN JAPAN. NEXT PACKETS. This is a good one. I like this packaging. 90s um I don't even know like style pattern that you see you know if anyone's like we're doing a 90s party and they always do that and it's on the bottom of the top which I quite like. No yeah this is this is the one that I I was able to track down one of the three. BAG SHOT BAG SHOT BAGGINSES BAGGINSES. Okay so this time look at the crisp Whitney get a good look at that crisp. Oh that's nicer. I think it allows to cover the palate of the tongue I'm pretty sure that it is exactly the same it's just a different cut but the way it just covers your tongue better. That's nice. Same crisp different cut better packaging in my opinion. I love that Godzilla's looking you straight on. Well then eat your grace oh I think I'll give this one seven and a half Godzilla heads. Just it this shape just edges it out as well as the um the better crisp packaging. And Whitney wants those ones. All right only three left to go but it's about to get wild. Wagyu wasabi beef. It nothing says Japan then Wagyu and wasabi. Umami of Wagyu beef meets sharpness of wasabi. A fascinating collaboration that will not let you go. And then it says something about it being like 100% I don't know I'm assuming that says like Wagyu beef or something. OH NO THE PACKAGING HAS FAILED ME. BAG SHOT. >> [laughter] >> Pretty sizable like Wagyu wasabi. Okay I got the beef first. It was quite sweet. Mhm oh here it comes. Okay. After is the wasabi. Mhm felt that hit my nose. Ooh. Wow it actually did exactly what it said. It's interesting because it's it's sweet it's not that savory. Godzilla do you want one? Oh that's a lovely one. Yum yum yum yum. Oh you didn't even finish your little french fry version. It's not a crisp I'd probably have five and a half Godzilla heads. I want to give it six, but there's just nothing really there that's like, "Ooh, I could imagine that going well with anything." >> [laughter] >> It's it's such a strong flavor and it's more sweet than savory. Oh, okay. But the better version, we have the same sort of situation. This is the same Was it Wagyu beef with wasabi, but instead of crisp form, it's in like french fry form. The packaging on this looks way cooler. I think that one screams to me more wasabi than the other one that was more meaty flavor like a like black and brown reddish. Whereas this one says, "You're going to get wasabi from this." Oh, it doesn't it doesn't say Wagyu. >> [gasps] >> This is just meat and wasabi. All right. Bag shot. Look at the crisp yard. In the bag. So again, same situation. You get these single single crisps that are quite condensed. Ooh, okay. Oh. Oh, that is strong. Oh, it's tingling my lips. Yeah, that that one's wasabi. There you go. When you have a big mouthful of that. Although as soon as you finish the packet of crisps, or sorry, the mouthful of crisps, the taste dissipates almost instantly. >> [laughter] >> It's it's so strong, isn't it? Got some more. It burns. >> [laughter] >> OH, THAT'S IT. THAT'S WHAT THE Godzilla is. Burning Godzilla. That's the one that's got like all the fire and stuff. I don't want to rate it lower than five cuz it's all right. If you like wasabi, oh, these are the crisps for you. But I don't know anyone that particularly likes wasabi. When I was growing up, wasabi was all like, "Go on, try some of that." It was never like, "Ooh, I can't wait to have some wasabi." They could work if they're put in a sandwich or something, but that's my Britishness showing, I suppose. >> I don't even know how to do it. >> [laughter] >> WHAT? THAT'S WHAT YOU DO WITH CRISPS, YOU PUT it in a sarnie, and it's lovely, right? You get the You get the softness of the bread, the crisp crispiness, and the You don't You don't get it. 4 and 1/2 I want to give it five, but out of all of them probably the one I would least pick. Although, we have one last crisp that could seal our fate. THIS IS THE GOLDEN PACK. King Ghidorah versus What is it? I don't know. Uh Super Mucho. Cuz on the back, their little character not only is Burning Godzilla, but he's also I don't know, somewhere there. He's dressed up as King Ghidorah. Seafood all out attack. This is going to be interesting. I mean, look at it. You see like freaking I was going to say Shellder. >> [laughter] >> Clams, mussels, and shrimp kind of waiting for an explosion of shellfish smell to emanate from this packet. Money shot. Uh but, these are the same crisps that are ridged, which are the first ones, which I rated the highest, which is eight out of 10. So, what's the crisp look like? Well, it looks like that. It's pale, and it's got flecks of green stuff on it. Does it have a smell? Mm. Ooh. Ooh, that's tangy. Ooh. It kind of reminds me of um prawn cocktail. And it almost instantly dissolved in my mouth. Huh. Strange. It hit me like prawn cocktail. Like that's what it tasted like. It was like boom, and then it went >> [laughter] >> and faded away like instantly. All right, Godzilla, do you want to eat that one? If you didn't tell me that that was seafood, I'd probably be like, "Ooh, it's like got a zesty tomato nest to it." I would give this one you know, for the king, I'd give that maybe six. It's still not like one I'd pick, I'd say. But, it's okay. I'm starting to now get a build of some weird aftertaste that I'm assuming is shellfishy. So, out of all of these, the first bag is >> [laughter] >> I think, just because of the texture, spice level, Oh, I have another one. It's Sriracha crisp. So, this one I couldn't find anywhere at all. But, you know why this wins? Because it has like lovely texture, and it also it hits you with a zesty Sriracha taste. Not only is it hot, you get a nice mhm bump of like juiciness. The forbidden crisp. Every crisp the Godzilla rate I'm about to eat now. No, I'm just looking at the dust. I think I'm going to make a new one. So, I'll make my new sandwich. One of you, yeah, and that one, and then the seafood one, a sprinkling of some wasabi, wagyu beef and wasabi on top of that, and finally the the spicy arigato. Wow. I don't taste anything. Yeah. I'm supposed to be like hit by all these flavors. I think my taste buds have just been overwhelmed. I did get like a juicy flavor on point. Quite a strong That was nice. But, I don't know if that I don't know what that flavor was. It was just like my tomato >> [laughter] >> taste buds went, "Ooh, this is nice." And then they just died. They were like, "Oh, oh." And they just passed out. You see if that if that was a crisp you somehow condensed that all into a crisp and be like seven? >> [laughter] >> I wouldn't be like wow that was amazing. I was expecting to go down a bit of a roller coaster there. That's why I was a bit disappointed. I got to the front of the queue and they went rides closed. I mean if you're in Japan I don't know how long they're going to be around for cuz I think they've been out for a while. So by the time this video is up PROBABLY STOPPED THEM. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. ALL OF THE Godzilla crisps out on display. Well yeah I think I still think my favorite one was that one. Sriracha one. Took a second there to read that. But let me know in the comments which one you would like to try. I mean by the time this video is up collaboration might be over but good thing is normally I mean most of these flavors exist in Japan. They're just having a collaboration of limited edition packets. Which even when I ordered the full thing I got three packets that don't have alternate air covers and the one that does have an alternate cover I didn't get. There are other things that I kind of want to cover in Japan has loads of like dinosaur candies and other animals. So maybe we'll check those out. Maybe we'll check those out. I don't know.
