Video summary

In this session of *The Ghost in the Shell* tabletop RPG, the operatives shift from a successful hostage rescue to investigating escalating gang violence and illegal arms trafficking within Newport City's Entertainment District. Intelligence gathered through police reports and GIS data highlights "The Carnival" as a primary hotspot for crimes involving military-grade ammunition, potentially linked to government corruption or new external suppliers following a recent power outage that sparked civil unrest among refugees and local fans. While some players choose solitary analysis of the situation, others leverage their backgrounds as former bouncers to gather intelligence from bars and nightclubs in the area, ultimately deciding on specific disguises like Hawaiian shirts and concealed weapons for an undercover mission into the district. The investigation leads Hero through a series of tense interactions, beginning with a visit to Hosshi's restaurant where he learns about local dangers posed by cybernetically enhanced gangs like "Blue Eyes" and rival factions such as the Crimson Patriots. After being escorted past visible damage from recent drive-by shootings at a bowling alley, Hero meets low-level enforcers who are actually defending their turf against escalating violence before learning that an organization called the Exchange plans to acquire heavy weapons from a dealer named "Psych." Navigating The Lock Box, a rundown bar filled with drug dealers and armed patrons, Hero uses hacking skills to manage the environment and observes two suspicious individuals without triggering a confrontation, successfully gathering information while avoiding immediate legal entanglements. The group then infiltrates Psych's retro-themed apartment in an old low-rise area outside the city, utilizing drones and signal jammers for distraction before securing entry through a rusted fire escape. Inside, they encounter armed associates from the Blue Eyes gang who are neutralized by Hero using tranquilizer darts after being shot or hacked into submission, while also discovering evidence of Psych's wealth amidst general decay. Upon realizing his apartment was breached, Psych reveals that he purchases weapons from an arms dealer known as "Lost Patriot" near the trolley tracks and provides encrypted codes to access heavily secured warehouses and boats where goods are delivered rather than stored locally. The group secures immunity for their actions during this interrogation before cleaning teams arrive under the guise of health inspections to seize evidence while the players head back to headquarters. The session concludes with the arrest of "Lost Patriot," who admits to dealing high-end military equipment sourced from international trade hubs like Fukushima and resold on both sides of the street, rather than being Japanese-made. During his interrogation, he describes a mysterious arms dealer in his mid-to-late thirties who facilitates these transactions through encrypted codes for secure locations, while expressing fear that Blue Eyes agents are coming for him; consequently, he agrees to cooperate with community service instead of prison and offers to set up a meeting as leverage against his former associates. As the episode ends, the team reflects on their dynamic within "Team Ghost," noting that resolving this specific arc opens new mysteries regarding street flooding with cheap weaponry rather than providing a complete solution, setting the stage for future investigations into these persistent criminal networks.

Right, welcome to the third video in our Ghost in the Shell tabletop roleplay game. And so the if you follow the previous videos, in video one, we've done the character creation. And video two, we did a bit of a kind of a hostage situation. We we liberated a couple of hostages. And this next session is going to be a bit more about investigating and uh finding out more information and possibly getting we'll see where we get to. But in any case, I hope that you've seen the other videos. If not, go find them and um we'll try to show you how the game works and uh if the campaign is still on, please support us on Backer Kit. Thank you very much. >> Awesome. Uh yes, having pleased your assessment officer Barto with your first live operation, uh you came out flying colors. All rescue, all hostages rescued. Uh obviously mental trauma inflicted upon them due to flashbang and armorpiercing shotguns aside. uh a resounding success. Um >> and in the bit that we cut because of spoilers, I was even more amazing with that hammer. >> Oh yeah. >> Uh it's amazing what a a half Nord can do with a hammer and a wall. Um uh anyhow, uh continuing against the backdrop of a hot summer, uh problems in the city of Newport city. um refugees, an influx of violence, protests in the street uh against a European contingent uh led by uh Elliot Lloyd Cook from uh um England who is bringing over new uh weaponry uh for civil uh suppression, I think is how the pol the politicians would phrase everything. Um there is a definite level of unrest. Um, BTO has asked you to come into the recck room once you'd finished showering off after your initial exercise or just smothering yourself in yet more gun oil and sulfur. Do you imply that I smell? >> He is. >> No, he's not. He's not implying at all. >> He's not implying. >> I'm not I'm not sure I am intelligent enough to observe it. >> I am flat outstating. >> I'll let you know when he is that Anderson needs needs to not bathe in in gunpowder. Um, >> wait a minute. So, you're not supposed to bathing on. Is that what you told me? >> Well, you certainly won't get any infections of your wounds if you're rubbing it in. I'll tell you that. >> Who gets wounds? >> That's true. >> Yeah, that's true. >> Apparently not you. Even after trying to stab you four times. Uh, >> you heenous giant. Uh, I need to change my dice. >> You're not having these ones. >> Oh dear. Uh as you enter you enter the restroom, uh the neon glow from the lights burning bright. Um the big jar of uh of cheap coffee gently bubbling at the side. Bart has a huge mug of his own stuff. Uh his his mug um a display of various dogs on it, a gift the major has given him. Uh he gets quite tety about anybody touching uh his personal uh porcelain area. Gentlemen, thank you for joining me. Um, well done with uh that uh an impressive selection. High marks and all of you. Um, I'm very happy with my recommendation to move you directly into field operative status. Uh, I look forward to many more successful operations and you climbing the ranks uh and delivering what this city's needs uh a detached view of justice. uh leaving no thread unturned. Investigation. Um and it is investigation that I need you to turn your attention to. Um now that the hostage situation has been dealt with, um we have other concerns that are below the table for section 9. Uh this is not a hostage situation I'm asking you to go into. This is a a direct investigation of street level crime. Uh we would not normally bother ourselves with the r rising gang violence. Um however it is the arsenal is the correct word. The arsenal being used is of concern. We are seeing a rise in the grade uh of weapons rather than roller um small pistols. We are seeing a rise into the Betta area uh and where some gangs are able to deal with arms into the the the lower end of submachine guns. maybe a snub 2000. We are starting to see extended magazine clips in the gang hands of gangs. Uh we have even seen uh some larger submachine guns on the streets uh uh of specific interest. The Kateshi uh assault rifle um has been cited and rounds recovered that would indicate being fired from their caliber. This is of distinct worries. If they're in the hand of gangs, if rioters get hold of them, we need to understand who this new arms dealer is, where they are come from. That is all we have to go on. Bar and his his eyes lock on you, uh, Sakai. Um, a series of police reports, um, all centered around the entertainment district. um he he double tap double taps up on uh his his comm unit and starts to uh ethereally throw files at you just you've seen you've filed so many police reports in your career um it's just a long string serial numbers locations GIS coordinates um CSI reports there is a heap ton of information that you are going to need to sift through to try and pull out some theme of investigation Um if you have any contacts in the police still, please reach out to them. But this is, as I say, section 9. This is a below the table operation. Um we have no official remitt, but it is possible um especially with the weapons that are being dealt that someone in the government is taking bribes and it is coming from the military branch perhaps a revenue raiser. And this is the exact thing that section 9 investigates. Uh we will not allow corruptions in the halls of government. Do you have uh any questions? >> The entertainment district. Any anything more specific on that? >> You'll need to scan through. Uh to unfortunately with his family u otherwise I've asked him to go through this and short list the ones the files that of interest. Uh I'm hoping you'll be able to do some data trolling. Um I I understand the firearms reports. I can see that things are escalating. Um, but this is not my field. This is why we have uh operative units like yourselves. >> We should get started then. >> Yes. >> The entertainment district. Now I'm familiar. >> Well, so the entertainment district in Newport city is not where the football stadiums are. It's not where the baseball stadiums are. It is much more the strip where um people go to party in the streets, where the bowling alleys are, the nightclubs are of the general people, not um places like the Astral Heights that is very much at the other end of town. Um the entertainment district covers a wide spread of the you know the wider entertainment that you get you know >> general public would go to >> the general public arcades bowling alleys laser tag arenas these sorts of things cyber arenas. >> Yeah. >> Um it is a large sprawling area that covers quite a few city blocks. Um >> it's a place where they can be like their hero. Yes, the the average general public could aspire to the heights of your most boring day, which would be >> flights above the hero. >> Uh a stack of electronic police reports. Um as I say, listing various things, all of the GIS coordinates in um the entertainment district. Um gang names, numbers, you'll need to start reading. Uh police work is not all done for you by others. You are the bottom of the food chain. you need to do this stuff, >> right? Because we'll plug ourselves into into some reports and see if there's any any common threads, something that is recurring, you know, a location, a name, a a bar, a a restaurant, a a gambling, then whatever, some place or people or area is more of occurs more often in this report as if there's a common link between these reports. >> Yeah. Could I start by mapping which precincts and areas for crimes have taken place and see if I have any ex-colagues there? >> Yes, you can definitely start mapping it against districts. Um, do you take uh any contacts in your >> I did not know. >> Okay, that's cool. Um, gentlemen on the right hand side of the table who have a different MO to the conformist uh standardized way of doing things. I have u previously uh in between kind of active I've worked as a bouncer here and there. So I probably know some of the people on doors that could go around actually physically on the street while these guys do all their cyber techy stuff and speak to some people. I heard pick up donuts. >> I'm great at carrying donuts. Apparently I've got a an exclusive group of people that are inspired for me to take donuts. >> You two head off in some donuts. Talk to >> to do your stuff. Uh you head to um one of the larger offices with the big display screen so you can start to throw stuff up. >> And Ku, you are left in a familiar situation, a quiet room alone, solitary. Wow. >> The rest of your companions that you have just forged a deep bond in a heavy firefight. Grenades, explosions, crushed walls around you. And you can feel that sense of belonging starting to drift away. How do you feel in this exact moment? Is it your desire to stay with your compatriots who you have forged a a bond in combat with or do you seek the comfort and solitude of data trolling? Something you've done for years of your life? >> Most definitely. I think the experience of the world out there. because people they they I mean the most uncomfortable thing for me in the whole firefight was that lift when we were deciding the plan and and and some people were saying one thing some other people were saying another thing and I didn't know my place I didn't know where it was my if I could speak out what I thought or not and it was so uncomfortable far worse than the firefight I mean you know >> you got shot in the chest about five minutes before >> yeah that was that just a just a flesh wound It's been speaking of food. I guess I got I got that looked at and healed. Yes. Some medical attention and patched up a bit. >> So you're seeking the belonging of the rest of your compatriates. So you head into the main ops room. >> Sorry the other way around. No, no, no. I'm very happy to be in front of a terminal. >> Oh, you're seeking solitude. Okay. >> I don't like terrifying. >> Okay. You are terrified when you of when you're in a group at the moment after the firefighter terrifying terrified running through wall with a hammer was quite standard normally nice. >> Two sad teams here. >> We call it team go and team shell. It >> it does seem to land that way. Please increase your solitude level uh by one degree uh as you decide that now is the time to just to do all of this stuff alone. Um and feel free to lean into that and ignoring a people's advice to help them do other things. >> Um as is that is how your yeah that is where your aspect is leading you and your conflict is to avoid the conflict of the belonging team and peace solitary. I'm a bit concerned with Ku at the moment because I I think there were sort of times, you know, when we were in that mission that um he did just sort of drift away from us. So, every so often we're out in donuts. I just >> like to give him a call just to sort of check out there cuz I I think there's such an rigid structure that he needs a sort of element of freedom just to become himself. So, I'll just give him a shout. I was going to say, >> yeah, I can I can already see just goes Yeah, as he drop he drops into clothes. >> And can you get rid of C? Can you contact him? I I seem to have just dropped out of >> Just check he's okay. >> I don't even know how to call phone him. >> No. >> Still paying. I love it. >> All the number. >> What's all this electronic? >> Can I have a reverse charge call? >> Reverse charge. >> That's uh for the older generation. Oh dear me. I need to get back to the page that has all the skills on it so I know all of the skill names off by heart. There I go. Skills and selections. Cool. Uh right. Uh we're going to do that thing that I enjoy doing in all of these games and no player ever bothers to take any points in bureaucracy. No, this is bureaucracy. Um >> no. >> And whilst it might seem outly a boring skill, the head of section 9 is >> get really cheap. king, the emperor of bureaucracy, and that is why your department is where it is. Um, alas, even with another unit of operatives, it appears there is no one to follow in. I can't say his name properly. Carly, no one to follow in Caramaki's footsteps. And you quickly, half an hour into this situation, realize why you need people that can deal with the the channels and why the people can deal with the vast amounts of paperwork. So, um, plotting everything up on the wall. Uh, make me a flat, uh, awareness roll. >> Okay. Awareness is just D6. Six. >> Okay. I'll, uh, you know, my job as a games master is to describe the challenges in front of you due to your decisions. And your job as the players is just to ignore these problems with exploding dice rolls. Dice rolls. Let's get it as a six. It's quite a good mechanic though, isn't it? >> Very appropriately fun. >> Thank you for all that you've done, but it just doesn't. >> Clearly, the base operating system in the main control room as you start to throw up all this information has an underlying AI. Perhaps when the Fukushimas are stabilized and and equalized at night and their programs bleed off each other to create a normalized subruine, all those little weird bits end up here. those unusual bits of behaviors that that exists in some of the think tanks. Perhaps some have bled off here because the data just seems to fall in front of you. Um there is a clear hot spot of area uh within the entertainment district itself. There is a large amount of uh reported gun violence. You can see where BTO has earmarked a few um to say military grade ammunition much higher than it should be. uh a quick overlay relative to previous and you see the hot spots where the crime is exp is is is heating up. Um there's a line effectively drawn through part of the entertainment district where the majority of these crimes are. There are several others here and there, random hotspots, but there's a definite line where there is more than than others. and it cuts straight through an area called the carnival uh which is a very specific street uh within the entertainment district. Um Hero would know about it. Um but but you know he's he's had his situation turned off because uh Ku had nothing. He's been muted. Hello. Can't get back on. Uh but yeah, you have identified it down to like one about half a block. Um a certain specific area. Um, but with the six you don't Yeah, you don't get any names, gang names or anything like that. But you go, right, we've it is definitely going to be here. I >> I'll uh patch myself through to Anderson and Hero bits and say that I'd like some donuts from that area if they're going. >> You gentlemen are just down in the requisition area. So, we will swing back to you in just a second. Um, there is no reason why you can't all go out together. Uh, heaven knows I love a split party. >> Oh. Oh, it's it's it's more to try and get any immediate Oh, over there is type response. >> Okay. Yes. Well, hero can share his experience. >> Hero can turn his experience back on. >> Yeah. >> Um, make me a hacking and uh >> I have a logical test which is about investigation. >> I think >> logical >> it is def. Yes, logical definitely over insightful because you're looking at data trends. Is it possible that we could be on site and then they come in in a van with some equipment in a building? You're just downstairs. I think >> uh they are not allowed to requisition your equipment. So you'll be outside in the buff. Uh >> that's just a normal day. >> All right. Yeah. Great. Great. Two. The guy the guys the guys with a huge presence and muscles like you're in the buff. It's all right. >> Just waiting for our gear. I could have I could probably have hacking the the trait tech expert and another D8 which is logical. >> You can only combine one skill and one stat. >> Okay, >> cuz you're you're looking down a specific investigation. If you spend even longer here, you could have another roll on the other skull. >> Oo, that's po. >> Uh three. >> A three. Um >> finally amazing. The rise in violence picked up 6 days ago. Um quite quickly from it went from zero to a lot of problems and it was 6 days ago. Um beyond that it was just normal kind of you know there's a binomial distribution of gang violence over a certain area breaking entries versus you know motorbike ram raids. It's you know almost city norm down at the carnival as you'd expect. six days ago it's just it's just gone up with gun violence. >> Well, as logical I would look for a coincidence any big event on national level that would coincide with with that any anything that changed? I don't know the corations of war something. >> Yeah. Okay. You start a second kind of deep dive to start to pull in all the information and go, you know, related topics within 6 days that have geographic referencing to this area. Uh hero. Yes. The carnival um is known for its very uh almost Spanish Riviera attitude. Uh it's a very large uh through strip road. Um where most of the entertainment takes place place on the street. Uh you have street acrobat, street magicians. Um the buildings themselves are a little rundown. Um you're not talking high-rise blocks, beautiful. It's It's kind of at the outskirts of Newport city, but yeah, acrobats, >> street edition, street food, people with handcarts selling food that they've got as they go. Um, yeah, it's a great time to have fun. Relatively cheap uh booze and entertainment to be had in all in all areas. Few bowling alleys that you might have gone to. Um, yeah, the buildings are a bit run down. Um, no, you got nothing kind of gang orientated in your background or skill set. So, yeah, that's what you know. It's a nice place. Cheap, rundown buildings. >> Yeah. >> People just community people that go out, work their day job, and then just enjoy each other's company afterwards. >> Yeah. Lots of people. They do their day job, they come down here, they blow off steam, they go drinking. Yeah. Yeah. >> They might hit the cinema. They might go to the bowling alley. You know that >> classic working man. Grab some tacos. It's that classic working man area but with a very vibrant almost Spanish feel to the great the big strip. If you ever been to Barcelona, >> uh that kind of >> kabuki kabuki cho in in Tokyo. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yes. That beautiful strip just stuff's just happening and everything for a giant running man sign. >> Well, there's namba. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yes. That is what you would know down there. You wouldn't have trucked with a criminal elements down there when you were a big name. >> I still am a big name. Just Just push that out there. >> Remember, you you retired peacefully with no encouragement. >> None whatsoever. None whatsoever. The establishment, well, you know what? They just grind. >> You have a destination, a place to go, a general outlay that there's not a huge number of high-rise buildings. um general workingman area, pubs, bowling alleys. Um if you wish to head out to do the footfall investigation, you're going to need to give Kazu just a few uh more minutes if he wants to attempt a reroll on his second investigation. Or you can do it in the car on route. It will be a 20-minute drive. >> I thought you going to say a few minutes for him to pull himself together to actually stay with us. Get in the car with us again. >> Well, yeah. you all get in the car and he gets in the boot of the pulls his knees up and just sits there with his fingers out on his hollow projected uh keypad and just starts to dive into the net >> own trailer. >> Um just leaving the three of you with your tray of donuts and coffee from the wreck room. >> Um please requisition your equipment for free. You are all given >> a outrageous Hawaiian shirt in an attempt to blend in. I almost wore my Hawaiian shirt today. >> Very. We wouldn't have noticed you. >> Very, you know, they pull out a nice clothes rack of Hudson Hawk like uh Hawaiian shirt. >> I've got something my size. >> Oh, you're huge. >> Okay. >> Hawaiian. Hawaiian. Yeah. >> Stitch a couple together and wrap it around myself. >> You look like that ridiculous jock from a frat party where someone says, "Couldn't you get a a a bigger t the smaller t-shirts like no we tried >> what was the name of the wine suma wrestler that was grand champion for a few years there certainly because it was in a wine so it would have been it came after it was Tiana Fuji then Fuji the SL over >> so yeah it was after him >> it could have been yeah I I remember distinct >> yeah but certainly in a wine >> there you go so yeah they would have a wine size shirts >> appropriate for you >> very Limited selection. >> Is it going to fit over me and my armored suit? >> No. >> None of Yeah. So, this is not where armored armored goes. This is the strip for the general public. You are an undercover >> covert unit. I am going to assume no one's walking down the Well, you feel free to take an armor-piercing shotgun >> uh with an extended clip uh reloading barrel. >> I'll have to send that out to my fans. see if that's highly inappropriate or appropriate and they'll let me know by the latest poll. >> Best thing to do. >> Kuing >> blocked >> as the section 9 internet traffic network please scope not happening. >> K I was thinking just just to add to your bureaucratical report looking people as well. So people that appeared on the scene six days ago as well. >> Appeared where? at Newport here. >> New people. >> Oh, anyone. So, for instance, um there's the guy Elliot Lord Cook. So, that would be someone. So, anyone of significant importance because happen like that. >> Yeah. So, not just events or world events, but something that like focus down here that somebody turned up. >> Yep. >> Yep. You dive in and troll the >> How much money have we got? How much do we >> That will take a bit of time. You'll be done by the time you finish the drive. >> Every bit of equipment we're allowed, are we? Are we? Yep. >> Oh, we got no points. Or is it 12 points to go? >> 12 points to provision yourself for >> however you see this part of your mission going. >> Breaching hammer full body. I don't know. It is. >> I'm quite attached to that breaching hammer. >> Yeah, in a bar with a Hawaiian suit. This will stand out a bit. I think the breaching hammer could leave it in the car, I suppose, and park the car not far, but >> Okay. So, it's nearby. So, you know, cuz I'm quite attached to I don't want to be too far away from >> Yep. >> Uh yeah, the requisition officers. Yeah, absolutely. I'll keep it here for you. This This is the exact breaching hammer you had last time. There's there's like a wall of six of them. >> No, I'll put my name on it. >> You get out Sharpie. >> This one is my >> It's been near to me for long enough that it's got my odor on it. And I was the one accusing your character of uh I went for full info info settings. Bug drone laser microphone digital lockpick data collection. I've got a familiar >> all the Yeah. All the information >> my back drone here is called Michael >> is my familiar >> looks like a color >> like a big >> So pistol and tranquilizer arts. >> What time of day are we going to this thing? at night, >> probably early afternoon currently because you you spent a little bit couple of hours doing some data trolls um you know putting up the maps working out which police district uh this is in. Um the carnival is firmly in district 72's area. It's not like a juris jurisdictional bound or anything like that. It's not known for riots. You probably haven't served in this area. Uh mostly the rioting happens in the more built up areas or down in the um industrial complex where all the refugees are used as very cheap labor with no labor with no rights. >> Yeah. So I've gone with a stealth suit, hand cannon with a silencer and a disguised weapon casing. >> Hand cannon with a silencer. It's like contradiction in terms there. >> It sounds regular pistol. This this magnum 45 silencer >> now it really sounds like a normal gun. >> So be like >> it would appear that the uh the ghost side of the table understands how to deal with these these sides of the mission. How is the shell side of the table doing? >> It's complicated. Um, obviously like within my character now, I mean, I've got a significant audience who consider I should have a shotgun with arms piercing round and and if I didn't going on any mission, then I I could lose people. >> Yeah. I could lose followers. >> You you could lose followers. >> Yes. >> And it's it's important to have a defined character. Otherwise, people will think, "Ah, he's just, you know, another section 9 operative, and I don't want to be known as that." If only it was legal to carry a shotgun down the street in Newport city. >> If only anybody would be known as a sectional producer. >> Nobody is >> for the first the first. Yeah. The public demand things and you can't not, you know, work with the public and these things. >> Imagine if they rock up and go, "Oh, these these little kids in the street will go have enjoying their tacos and and they oh hero, where's your shotgun?" And and I do you know what it mean? I just start dropping off. >> Yeah, it's very important to me. >> Makes me feel like a hero. >> The willing suspension of my disbelief >> does not stretch out. >> Does not have the uh the suspension needed for that. >> Walking down the streets with a shotgun is absolutely doable. You will cause a fra and panic around you in all directions. Unless you have a like a a cold big great, >> you can leave you could leave it in the parked SUV so it is nearby. >> Yeah. >> Uh but yeah, walk with your hammer. Walk down with your hammer. >> Yeah. >> That >> they just cut you take this from a cold dead hand. >> Uh but you will not be able to walk down the street, >> you know. Wow. With with a shotgun >> in realistic terms. >> Okay. Why? Why are we walking down the streets? Why are we walking down the park? >> Just drive to drive the car off. Just drive down. >> Some Some might suggest the ghost side of the table that an investigation requires talking and and investigation. >> Can they do that? We'll find out shortly how good they are at doing that sort of stuff, shall we? We are. >> Considering hollow point, >> come to this side of the table. Come to this table. to the dark side of the >> just because we're going for a peaceful investigation, but things occasionally do go wrong. >> Yeah. And because of that, I've got peaceless alternatives. Yeah. >> Peaceless >> alternatives. Yeah. I mean, I'm think universal advanced attack coupling. >> Yep. That's >> Sorry, I'm probably on completely the wrong page. >> We have to do that. >> Digital lock picker. Have we got one? >> I got one. You've got Wow, he's stopped taking all the equipment because it leaves him only with guns left. >> That's what I was looking for. >> Two people with each level are fine. You don't We can duplicate the same place. >> So, I'm going to drop the stealth suit. >> You've got a data injector. >> I don't It's certainly a little more than a glo because the back drone is 10 points. So, pretty much all went into the back drone because the bug drone is better than me in combat physically speaking. It's got a lot of shank. Tran darts. I like those sort of things. >> Tran dart. There is, heaven forbid, there is a thing called a concealed holster. >> Only costs one point. Concealed. >> Is that the um disguised weapon cases? >> Yeah, disguise weapon. >> Yeah, you might. >> So, you could take a disguised weapon case and be walking down the street with uh what looks like a painters kit. Uh this is the carnival strip after all. There are street painters and street performance. So, you could be walking around with a shotgun inside, you know, what looks like a canvas roll. You just need to spend the extra little points to get there. I >> I like that. That's what we're going to go with. Yes. >> Why did I suggest that to him? >> Is it my own fault whenever this unravel? >> I guess the pistol you bought me is a very small pistol that I can clearly just holster. No problem. >> Don't have any concealment bonuses, but it is small. >> Shield holster pistol. I like that tran dart. >> The hand cannon. I like tran darts. >> Brilliant. I like this >> handle subtle. Uh I'm going to have the same beforehand. The the uh smartweave ballistic suit. Is that >> Yeah. Yeah. You can do it. >> Yeah. We're in there. >> Hawaiian shirt edition obviously. >> Yeah. It's the only one. It's number one in the marketplace at the moment. Kaken two for that. Uh laser sight armor pierce. probably unnecessary at this stage. I'll be able to do, >> but we're in. >> You all heard him. He's not well. >> We just found a a typo. Excellent. >> That's good. Good. >> Remote charge. >> Yes. So, he's the bug drone. 15 or 10 points. I think it was carry a remote charge. >> Did play test and we brought it down to >> Yeah. I mean, it's only a few grams of plastic. >> Take it. >> Everyone Everyone needs that. >> But I seem to remember that we kind of got >> Oh my god. 20 as well and the hacking investigate whether we want focused >> we are investigating things focused >> we can't donate points to equipment so 15 would mean you'd have to complete silencer >> like free adventures to gain the points to take it >> so very I don't know whether we for that but if we go for the silliest weapon >> yeah okay we can arbitrarily right now decide it's >> I'll put it this way canon got the name all over it. >> It is 15, >> which you know. >> Yeah, they're really good. But yeah. All right, let's bring it to 10. >> Good. >> And you found another typo. >> Kind of. >> Do you think we need flashlights? >> It's daytime. >> Yeah. So, it's daytime on page 78. >> Yeah. Did you say you've got like the laser microphone goggles and stuff like that? >> 78. Yep. >> Have you got night vision goggles? >> Uh, no, because it's afternoon. Okay. As long as it's not afternoon when we're doing our investigations. That's true. Cracking. We got a signal. Jammer. >> Nope. >> I'll get one. >> No. I invested everything pretty much everything into the back drone here. My friend Michael. He understands me. I like you. >> Good. Yes. So, on the drive to the carnival, uh, Kazu is displaying some distinctly concerning psychological tendencies. >> Don't listen to them. Have >> you got a tech tool kit? >> No. Okay, I'll get one. >> You're just coming with the van is just a workman's man. >> Yeah, >> we'll get one. Uh, chain one can one pistol two. Back drone. Back bug drone is all about the back drone. >> That's just that made your life a lot. I'll just have a bug drone. That'll do. >> No, one bug drone. >> B one >> is annoying enough for a for a GM to have one familiar in the park. >> Right. Are we there on equipment? >> The car is revving desperate to get away. Trip mind claymore. I'm sure >> it will come in useful for investigation. >> Tran dolls. Trles fitting crystals and guns. Yes. Okay, good. >> Addison fully spent up. >> Yeah. >> 4 5 6 8 9 10 11 12. Yes. >> 12. You're fully spent. >> Yeah. >> Ghost side. Are we fully spent up? >> Oh, we are now. >> Oh, yeah. I even got some some equipment from my friend here because I spent too much with the this friend of mine. >> Got a lot of friends. >> Yes. You jump in the black SUV and you drive down to the entertainment district heading off into the carnival area which has been correctly identified uh by uh Sakai as uh the the main hotspot area. Um you find a car park and park up leaving your van with uh any residual equipment you want nearby not but not being carried. Are you able to be parted from your breaching hammer for more than 10 minutes? I don't know whether is it a is it a support breaching hammer. >> Leave it in the van for now. We can come back for it if things get dicey. >> We are workmen so it might be appropriate for some of the work we're doing on the property. >> Yeah. >> To carry a 3ft long 30 kilo tube of metal. >> Only 3 >> because it's a reach hammer, not a sledgehammer. Sledgehammer. Yeah, >> if it was a sledgehammer, you could say you're doing renovations, but raing hammers are distinctly uh not not civilian use. >> Oh dear. >> It was early afternoon. And it is now progressing somewhat after the drive in your extended period uh in the uh requisitions area which has given uh Kazu enough time to have his secondary role uh for him to try and >> tie off um media reports and related topics in the in the local in the in the media area. Go >> from six days ago because we said that the spike in the spike in weapons was six months or so. What could have been the five >> five uh a sharp decline in hero's uh follower count uh clearly a related topic uh in that kind of 8 through to 5 day period ago because obviously whatever happened might have been just before the the the crime started to spike Um there was a power outage uh to the carnival to the main strip of the carnival 7 days ago. Um this caused the standard problems you would expect in a in a in a grid orientated cyber group of people where advertising is pumped into your head. Um a bit of a street party occurred. the lack of neural advertise being advertisement being thrown at people uh gave a very much a crash back to anarch anarcheronistic anacronistic ways. Um people remembering what it's like to use actual fireworks and and rather than augmenting their performances electronically. Um it lasted a good 3 hours far longer than any grid outage has ever lasted in in recent years. Um there was a a big street um procession. Um the baseball season has just come to a close. Uh that was very nearby. It came through the entertainment uh edged on the side of the carnival. Um there was a bit of a a street brawl. Um the the local refugees in the area um took exception to this opulent display of wealth and a bit of a a riot broke out. um versus the the local baseball team that had won the division. Um and that and the only else that kind of worked on from there that that that same kind of refugee problem um it's kind of continued to steamroll and that hot weather that I've described that's been laboring in the area, the problems with the food and the water shortages due to the increase in people. And there is a there's a a new new civil unrest movement called the Crimson Patriots uh who are demanding that um you know external forces be moved away. The refugees need to be taken care of. Um the government is purposely locking down access to cyberware and and neural network um to keep the downtrodden downtrodden. And there's a a definite ground swell movement by these this uh this group called the Crim Crimson Patriots. A new they've yet to be labeled terrorists, but you know, they're definitely labeled by civil unrest as far as the police are concerned. Um you know, anyone displaying their colors, it's arrest on site. Um you know, it's a police state. There's constant. And that was 6 days ago. >> Colors. I mean, I do remember that we were told that there were some colors on the terrorists that we confronted, didn't they? >> Uh, yes. Uh, they did have an unusual uh streak. You thought initially it was just kind of lines. Uh, but now that you think back to it, it was almost like uh a striped red and white flag where the inks maybe almost kind of >> lazily melted, been slashed, you know, rather than going across, it's come down. Um, it's possible that those terrorists there, they had a very similar MMO to these Crimson Patriots, power back to the people, stop the ingress from abroad of all of these uh civilian repression weapons that are being brought in, you know, this hardening riot foam gun that there's been rumor of. Um, you're probably eager to see it in action being an ex- riot police. Yeah, possibly related to the hostage situation. >> All right, I'll relate all of this, guys. From the from the boot of the of the >> from the boot of the car. Yes, my pretty soon the drones will fly. >> Uh you park up in a multi-story car park. Um it's only three stories high, two into subbase. As I said, this place isn't massively built up. It's a little bit more rundown ramshackle. Um you head out. It's early afternoon. Uh there is a strong smell of sweet corn in the air that is being steamed uh in various hand cards that are going around. Uh and the normal eclectic collection of people selling meat on a stick. And when something is described like that, you generally don't ask what kind of meat on a stick. Performance are just setting up. As you look around the strip, uh the neon lights just starting to come up as the light is slowly dimming. um eager to get some early business in. People are hawking outside the pubs and the nightclubs. Come in. Music retro occurring. Electric sheep. See your fantasies brought to light on the hollow stage. Um the strips coming alive. People are hawking. Entertainers are just setting up. There's no one doing back flips or any kind of magic at the moment, but you can see that they're working out their their street area. There's that frigen in the air of a populace about to come to life and um what would you like to do? >> Well, said you knew somebody here start with that. >> Yeah. Well, I think um in my backtory I was a part-time bouncer. So, I know some of the guys on doors of places. So, I could just start calling some bars, asking some questions to the bar staff. even though subtly about maybe I could ask for say that I'm looking to get hold of some weaponry see if they know anything would be believable considering if they know a bit of your background >> me I'm a bouncer from two years ago got a submachine gun >> uh you start to cruise the strip to find a nightclub where you have possibly worked before and there's a somebody there that still recognizes you because there's no point walking up to a door that doesn't know you. Um, make me a presence roll to see how uh add advantage. Well, it's advantage plus one level because of your hugeness and you are a hard person to forget. Three. Uh, it's too early in the night. The bouncers that are used to the bigger stuff, the, you know, the edgier violence have yet to get on site. They might need to wait a couple more hours before they turn up. >> Yeah, they'll know me. >> They'll obviously know me. Oh dear me. >> Me for sure. I was aware of that conversation. >> Police background. Please make me an awareness and insight roll. >> Uh I have no insight. So it's just my awareness with D6. >> Uh street wise. Apologies. >> Oh, that's okay. Still still. Nope. Just free. >> Cool. >> We don't take those. >> My street wives was putting gas grenades towards the crowd of people. >> He was very wide. Street quiet. >> Um cool. You buzz up and down the street. People hawking their wares. time ticks by. Um, other than the roles that I just called for, which are just background observations that might have dropped in due to your character's history and backgrounds, what does anybody want to do um, for this kind of segment of action, which like a halfhour block of investigation, >> dive into security cameras, pull up old footage. You're trying to find a bouncer. >> I I'll pop into, you know, a restaurant, something I can chat to people. >> Cool. You're going to drop into one of the smaller kind of like cafe restaurants. Yeah. >> And have a chat with what's going on. Okay. Uh yeah, cool. So make me a uh that is presence and >> I mean surely they must know something. So >> yeah. So persuas persuasive and uh presence, isn't it? Presence. >> Another D8, please. >> Uh and Kazu breaking off from the rest of the group wanting to just stand around solid in solitude. >> Boom. Tell me everything. >> Day 10. Chris. >> Oh, day 10. I can't count going up, can I? Thank you very much. Cheers. >> Yeah. >> Yes. Why are we bothering us? We like it. >> An eight into a 10 into Okay, it's 10. >> Just a 10. >> You're not going to go for a triple explosion. Okay. >> Uh you have a chat to some nice uh cafe owners. They got a good side in Tapus and Taziki. >> Uh not quite sure where they get this stuff from for the cheeses. you don't ask. Uh and what is Kazu doing uh in his >> Well, I mean considering that obviously any interaction with people is unpleasant. I will just walk around looking at people and while scanning in my brain completely, you know, remotely. So basically what I'm not really looking at people. I'm in there looking for uh the latest place where there was a disturbance. this area the records. Was there an alleyway, a place where something happened? >> Not a problem. Um, yes. So, make an awareness and and logic role and upgrade your logic one step because you're still in that kind of solitude moment where you're able to process data quietly in your own mind. You're not being distracted by the this the group dynamic that is drawing you off. Six. Exploding. Six. Getting to an eight. Seven. I managed to bring it to a not a problem. >> Uh yeah, you start to chop through the various police reports, the nice GIS map, geographic information systems that you've laid up. You start to bring it down to the current time uh and you rapidly uh hone in on um a bowling alley uh where there's been a fair amount uh a very two separate driveby shootings within the last kind of 36 hours. It's one of the few places where there's been repetit repetitive place within, you know, kind of a 50. It's a very hot area. Two crimes >> in the same building, so to speak. >> I will obviously tell my friends after the the time spent on research. I will cuz I'm not going to go there alone. >> Just put a pin in that man leaning into solitude. >> Uh as we fly back over to the other side of the table. Um >> yeah, this nice little cafe place with some tapas and hummus. Uh you haven't had a good chat to him. Um he's a classic native of Newport city. Got that nice little kind of shave back hair. He's got it up into that little kind of monk little ponytail. Uh very cl Yes. No, an actually nice looking ponytail. Uh not your weird man. >> I will check how many followers he's got. Less than mine. >> He does. He does. does have less followers than heroes, but he's kind of gone for that kind that classic uh sushi chef samurai kind of feel. All drawn back, clean, shaven up on his back wall. He's got lots of sharp knives. Although it is tapas, it is not sushi that he's cooking. UH HERO, come in. Come in. >> Going in here. >> Do you remember? He points up at the wall. There's a picture of you with three of your your mates from the offensive line leaning in, smiling with some tapass plates in your hand and the chef in the middle. A you bring me much luck. Come take a seat. Come take a seat. >> And some halumi slices land with some chili prawns on. >> I remember these. A such a great taste from before. >> Amazing. Amazing. Your reviews did so much for my business. I cannot thank you enough. I give you a nice hug. He's a small guy compared to you. I cannot thank you enough. If I keep this picture as a as a keepsake. What can I help you with? Where are you? Where? He looks around for your other football teams. Oh, a new linebacker pointing at Anderson. Oh, he's like his neck cranes. Look at you. He's like this little 5 foot poo guy. Yeah. Bring the steak. Bring the steak. >> I like him. >> Well, >> how can old Hosshi help you? What a >> well things have have turned a bit for the worst actually in being able to do it. Um a few struggles for me I will say a few struggles for me. So >> he's not a linebacker. He's here to protect me. >> Oh really? >> Yes. They're out to get me. >> Who? >> them. They It wouldn't be right to mention who they are >> and be able to do that. We >> do. You mean the exchange or the blue eyes? >> I I I'm paid up with the exchange. I don't want any trouble on my street, but there's been all those problems down on the corner where the B over there where the exchange have set up. >> Yeah, we thought >> there's been so much trouble down there. I've paid my protection, money, you'll be fine here. Don't you worry. And he's looking out the front of the window making sure there's no one around. You watch out. >> Orange armbands with the yellow stripes there. The exchange. You stay on this side of the street, you'll have absolutely no problems. You want to watch out for those blue eyes. >> They're the ones >> horrible glowing blue eyes. Cybernetics. They're the they're vicious. They've been causing all sorts of trouble around here in the last week. >> It's not safe. It's not safe to cross. And he's pointing down as you can see Kazu randomly walking up to a bowling alley >> with lots of gunshots side of it. Utterly oblivious to what's going on. >> I just uh Ku um if you could come back to this. >> You're still on mute cuz he got annoyed with you. Ku me. >> Oh well. Yeah, that's >> Ku. Ah, I much appreciate that. Especially this side of it. And well, this seems to be the right place, you know, to know the high life and really have any experience of that. >> I don't think that's me anymore for it. But no, no, no, no. We haven't issues that we've got besides them with the blue eyes on the other side of the Crimson Patriots. >> Are they? >> Oh, they're down. They're down more towards the docks, the industrial area. I've heard of them. They they are talking to many people trying to just people who are downtrodden and and feel that life is unfair. Oh, which it can be. But you know, if you put your back in and you work hard, even I with almost nothing, he sort of taps his head with his neural impuls. I have set up this gorgeous business. If we are friends with everyone such as wonderful people like you, I can succeed. My family is being educated. Uh >> that step up that level that you've got from being the foundation. >> Work hard to get that step up. >> Those those crimson patriots down by the docks. They just there's rabel rousing. There's been lots of trouble. I've let my children go down. >> Pushing people down. That's subjugation. Having the freedom to do what you want, have opportunities. Absolutely. For that >> it's all it is about the freedom to make your own choices. It is not about crushing other people power. >> Absolutely right. And that's what they're doing down in the dock. >> Pick up your freedom one level cuz Yeah. >> Rud tell me more about these blue eyes over here. >> Well, that's not that's not where they're based, but they drive by. That's the exchange. I pay my protection money. 50 uh news and and it's all fine. I don't have any problems and they keep all the drunks out and they deal with you problems. You know, clearly this is a guy that doesn't have his own bouncer like a nightclub that you would have worked at. But if there is some drunken punchup, >> that's what street gangs do. They come in and they stop the trouble. >> Not in a particularly nice or legal way and they'll leave the person with a broken leg, but >> that is how it works down this end, you know, in the bulk of the town where the police can't marshall their forces. But the blue eyes, they're horrible. The very large guns. Um I mean, just look at the walls over there. And he points down to Because where are they getting large guns from? I don't know. I don't know. You would you >> All I know is that that the exchange and the blue eyes. Oh, the the violence they're having. >> The blue eyes. >> I'm going to do a little go straight into your shoulder as you suddenly realize you've walked almost straight into somebody. big guy, leather jacket, various um little pins of bowls, the symbols for a strike, three strike, goosees, you all the various bowling paraphernalia, the high scores down one side and on the other just a big painted band of orange with yellow stripes. What are you doing in here then? I I really flick back to reality. Uh who me? Yeah. I I just was looking for a a a bar. >> Yeah. A bar. Yeah. >> A bar. >> Yeah. >> He looks you up and down. >> That's his shape. >> And he leans ever so slight to the left to look under your armpit where your holster is. It's not concealed. I don't think we're uh that's the situation. why don't you come inside and we have a nice talk? And you will see him at this point being led into the bowling alley uh by a large gentleman who just puts his arm around him as perhaps being solitary isn't the thing that we should do our entire life >> and he's there to help you make friends. >> You get a secret help help no this isn't even here. This is just random activity that's occurred. There's nothing help. >> Sometimes things just go wrong for you. >> Help. Help. Help. >> I can't hear. >> How far away? Cuz I've just seen him walk down the street. >> Yeah, it's like a 100 foot away. Three or four or four buildings down. >> I'm going in. I'm going in behind him. >> He's off down the street. You're off down the street. Come back later. We have a drink. Another picture. Give us a good review. Yes, >> we'll absolutely. Every time, actually. Every time. Thank you. It's got a halumi taco in one. >> Violence breaking out. >> Okay, let's make more friends. >> You roll up to the bowling alley. Um, it is on the corner. As you rock up, you and you would immediately clearly make out the signs of uh gun sprays across the wall, thick uh wide fractured pieces of concrete um which would indicate a high caliber bullet. not armor piercing because that would make a small deep penetration. Um, and as a policeman, you recognize the the the, you know, the the drive by spray and prey >> fall over the wall. >> People have just gone past in a bike or a a car and just, you know, maybe tried to take somebody out. Um, possibly two hits. One of you knows it was exactly two attempts. Uh, unless he is inside the bowling alley. Um it is exactly like any generic bowling alley. Um lit up. You can hear that clang clang of the the balls being bowled. There's 20 lanes here. Maybe six are currently being used down the far end. There's a nice little bar. Uh little restaurant area. A host of arcade games and holographic just inside the front door. There are another two of these gentlemen, not anywhere near as large as the first who is blocking the door. So, >> he's already been taken inside, has he? >> Yeah, he's just been taken inside. Um, and he he looks at you deep in the eyes at this point. >> He's not got any blue eyes, chaps. So, let's let's not stab him right up. What is this? Stab him. Well, just >> you uh know how to use that motioning to your pistol under your arm. >> Oh, no. Not really. No, my boss told me to carry it. I >> Your boss. Who's your boss? Anything we need to worry about? >> Oh, no. >> Am I nearby? >> Yeah. At this point, you're probably first through the door. You can clearly see that this is not >> This is not He's not being stabbed and moved into the air. >> I'm his boss. >> This big chap wheels round. Clearly, he's not used to having to elevate his neck up all that often, but he is he is a large unit. >> I'm just going to ignore him a bit though. going. Everything all right, Kazzy? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hi. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. >> Making new friends again. >> Yeah. Want to play golf? Bowling. Not golf. Bowling. Sport. All the same. They don't often they don't often have big enough holes for my fingers. >> Who might you be then? A boss. Don't look. Uh and he checks your arms. Don't see any gang colors. >> No, I'm on my own. Apart from him. >> All right. which point you two probably bundle at this point. Hero with half a helumi taco still like sucking it down. Um Oh, there's this big gang then, is it? >> And they they start to back up and fan out a little bit as if they are they are worried that anyone could pull a concealed weapon. They're clearly used >> to being concerned about violence. >> No concern, >> but they've all got the orange band with the yellow stripes of the the exchange. Well, you would know it's this. >> Yeah, exchange. Yeah, not the blue eyes. Then >> Ku goes, I better [ __ ] turn his com back on. Your >> is now back on. Back on. Back on. >> We're not here to cause any trouble. >> That's good. That's good. We don't we wouldn't want to [ __ ] you up. >> You can see he really don't think he could [ __ ] you up at all. But, you know, he's clearly he's clearly got a front up because, you know, this is obviously the gang territory. You can see that there is quite a few more guys back out down the end of the bowling as they are coming down there putting on their jackets. Um there are probably about three or four more gang members. The others are just general public people who are bowling. Yay. You know, chicken in chips in a bucket is being brought out from the restaurant. Um it's a bowling alley. This is just where they happen. The exchange happened to set up. >> We're we're not here to Well, I've had a chat with Hosshi actually to be honest. Oh, you know Hosshi? >> I know Hoshi photo hero. >> You're on the wall. >> Yes, >> he's hero. >> Yes, they know. >> I remember him. I remember him in the 72 long pass. I got 100 creds off of that that bet. >> That was it. >> What a catch. The man was in. Yes. >> Oh, right in stride. Straight in. >> [ __ ] [ __ ] My wife took all the money from me that night. I tell you, >> she was wrong, too. Well done. You still got for jazzling her earlobes or something. I don't know. Anyway, still got the memories on my arm, though. That's what matters. That is what the matters. That does indeed. >> So, was your gang with a guy gang? We're not a gang. What's going on? >> You called us a gang. We're not a gang in being able to do that. >> All right. You just out for You want a pie? You want a bowling lane? >> Oh, that might be. >> We're always happy to make money. You know, four four creds for a game each. >> Sadly, we need to be on our way. >> Is the alley not good enough for you? The alley is exceptional. >> Have I been here before? No. I don't know. I've got nothing to compare it against. >> How about this? We leave Hero with you. You guys have a great time with your your idol and we'll just take this associative friend here >> and put him back in his comfortable space in the dark room by himself. >> Touch me, it all right. It's all right. There's been a lot few problems down there in the area recently. >> He's clearly trying to like size you up if he thinks he can take you. He says every every time he looks over he's like no. Then he looks over maybe I could go in like no >> weird the problems of the blue eyes guys. We had those issues. Well what's that problem? What's occurring? >> Yeah you can see a lot of like internal like grimacing couple people kind of massaging what might be a wounds as they were put their jackets on you to hide the injuries. Been yeah you know we've uh we gave them a damn good kick in a few weeks ago and they they're getting they're getting their own back. You know, we we'll lay we'll we'll lay the uh the law down. >> And they get bigger guns than you. Is that what's happening? Cuz I saw the shots and it wasn't pistol chance. >> You're going to have to make me another persuasive role to see how well this is going. >> You're in a dangerous face situation. >> Pull the gas grenade. >> There will be no need. No need. >> Bag and run. >> No need of any of that. >> He'll have this charm. Yeah, I mean it's not all about the it's not all about the dice roll. It is just a dangerous situation that you're you're negotiating. >> Uh well, we while we sit down, have a have some fries, chat about it. >> Yeah, I think that would go well with the hilumi I've just had and the tacos. I think that'll be a nice follow on meal. >> Oh, she's got some good food on. Do you think it's too risky to try to hack this guy and very likely to try to gather information? Nothing else. Just very likely. Maybe wait till we're distracted with the chicken. >> Yeah, >> I would. >> Quite a bit been a >> It's been been difficult time. Been a difficult time. Yeah. >> Oh, drink. >> But we've we've put things in place to uh deal with it. Um but yeah, the blue eyes have uh they showed up recently with a lot more firepower than they used to have. It used to just be couple of pistols and a molotov on the back of a bike here and there. Um, we don't bother with all of the the the diesel and the gasoline and all that stuff. We just look after the strip. It's our patch. Keep it nice and quiet. I mean, the police can't bother to come down here. We're just taking a wage like the like the like the coppers do, aren't we? Keeping it safe and stuff. But it's been, you know, this is that road and yet that on the exchange of the bowling pen. That's that's our territory and the the blue eyes trying to move in on our turf. So, >> you don't think they've stepped in there with the Crimson Patriots, do you? >> Who are they? >> They're down by the docks. I don't know about the docks. If it's not it's not on the strip, it's not it's not our concern. I don't know anything about the gangs down there. All I know is Blue Eyes trying to move in on territory. We've we've you know been a rivalry probably for the last nine months, maybe a year, but the last last week or so they've just they've been having some firepower. Been been splashing it about, but uh someone's got >> you know, we've we put things into action to level the field. Put things into action. Yeah. >> What is that tonight? Is that going to happen? >> No, no, no. That's not what we're about. We we don't do V. We're not we're not going to go after them. That's not what we do. >> Okay. You >> This is the the carnival with the strip. This is our area. It's what we look after. >> If they come down here, we will there. Well, >> he he kind of come points out the door. Not in any particular direction. >> They just uh you know the old Helter rink uh where the motorbikes clash naming a sport that you've got drive school. You might have played in it. Um, it's kind of a cross between dodgeball and motocross. Uh, it's a >> like a drone, but it's a bit more assaulty, coarsey. Uh, and you you drive around baseball bats in a ball. So, it's a Yeah, it's that kind of dodge ball, but a motorbike situation. >> Um, they play >> fun. I should give that a go. >> It's a wound in his knee starts to act up just thinking about it. They uh they play they play over there. They're pretty good on their bikes, but that's where that's where they're based. But um you know that's that's not where it's not what's that's not what's happening. There's and you know and you can clearly see he's trying to judge you and he's not quite sure how to go. He doesn't know your faces apart for some media star that's like licking halumi hot sauce off of his lips. >> Oh [ __ ] it. I'm going to try to hack him just just as a readonly just as a readonly thing. Just as Yeah. What's what what's what is he thinking about? >> Uh okay. His barrier is nothing more than three. He is a low street ganganger that has the, you know, basic Wi-Fi capability to reset the bowling pins. He's not anywhere near a barrier bills and run the bowl. >> Yeah, exactly. >> It would be the 88, but because I have that enough sight is the 810 because I'm so close. And how about a seven critical success double his barrier more than double barrier. >> Yeah, that is double his barrier. Uh, very good point. Um, cool. His surface thoughts are, um, >> that halumi look great. Where did he get it from? I need to get down to Hosis for some s. >> So, actually F4 penetration is is quite a thing, isn't it? >> Basically, everything apart from ghost line. Yeah. >> Yes. It's the whole lot. >> So, I could control. >> His surface thoughts are um >> he's worried about you being cops. You're carrying a gun. He looks like a [ __ ] cop even, you know, cuz he is a cop. And yeah, they carry themselves. Uh but his but beneath that very quickly uh he's he's thinking about uh a ch a guy called psych in the lock box. Uh he he needs to he's making a weapons pickup from there in a tomorrow and that's going to even the score. Um these guys don't go out and it's not it's not uh the Jets and the Sharks where they're going after each other. These guys are pretty nonviolent. They're just looking after the local area. Um they just they're in a defense mode, but they need to level the score. So they they have made a deal. They've cashed out all of their protection money that they've been bankrolling uh to talk to this site guy down at the lock box where they want to get he's going to even score with some larger weapons. The deal is to go down tomorrow. Um big success. He knows nothing about the Crimson Patriots. He's never even heard of these this refugee gang at all. Uh but one name does pop up here which is uh a name the lost patriot. Um this appears to be you got a massive success. He is an arms dealer that has hit the town very recently. Um yeah I mean you got a total success. Prices for arms have dropped. they've gone through the floor because the market is not being flooded. It's it's almost as if this stuff is being sold cheap. Um or at least his gang uh the exchange would never normally be able to afford, you know, the the Keshashi 12 whatever semi-achine guns, but then now they're able to afford it. They can get it from Psych. Psych's always been a low-level arms dealer, but now has this higher level of weapons available. And that's where he's going to even even the score tomorrow. is going to go. They've made the payment. They just got to get the weapons. >> I find the location of psych. >> Uh it's called the lock box. Um it is in the direction of the um motor arena arena drrome. Um it's actually closer to where you are now than all the way into the blue-eyed territory. It's about three uh two streets away. Um yeah, again the buildings come down as you go out of town. The high-rise descends to lowrise. Um, you get into that, yeah, dilapidated building sort of situation. But yeah, the Lockbox rundown pub apparently that is where Psych lives. They're going to go there tomorrow, pick up some arms at the paper. >> Okay. Well, I kind of say to the guy, thank you very much uh for showing us the I mean, Hero will make a great report, a great uh great post on this play and we it was lovely to be see your thing. >> Tell them just tell him it's safe down there. We, you know, don't mention the stuff that's happening at the moment. We'll have it all sorted out tomorrow, day after, maybe we'll have everything leveled out here and we don't want no bad reviews. You say you had some nice chicken and chips. Uh, >> very much did. Yeah, very much. And our good friend Hos comes here and you go to his and >> Yeah, we look after all the time. We don't let any trouble up and down on our >> And we'll send someone to come do bender outside for you. >> Oh, >> so we are community focus. >> It is our Yeah. and he stands up towering over you. You got you got a friend with the exchange and he gives you a big meat cleaver handshake. You got you any need any trouble? You got any trouble? You need some help down on the streets? You let us know if it's scenario. We'll we'll if you could sort that out and put it our way. So, you know, we're just trying to look after the area. >> See that boys? Freedom to the people. Let us look after ourselves. >> Tweak his serotonin in his brain to make him feel really happy. >> Tell you, man. Great. Such friends like big big bear hug hugs as you're heading out. They catch a quick They've got selfies. They put on the CCTV camera for a nice little posing picture. One of them whips out a bowling ball from nowhere to hold up. >> Fantastic. Great. >> They're loving you in there as well. >> Keep tweaking the brain chemistry. Yeah. I mean, these guys can't afford proper cyberware to guard their brain. Um, but yeah, 20 minutes later, you roll out, the night's starting to drift in, performers are twirling their ribbons. Um, the strip has firmly come alive as you walk out of what could been a very tense, difficult situation. Um, having with a hot lead, >> fed on chicken and chips and new friends. I have to say this is strange. I feeling that >> I was not wanting to be with these people, but these people just came and rescued me and helped me out when I was terrified in that place and I didn't know whether to hack this guy and run away or not. But I was definitely >> Do you wish to reconsider your solitude versus belonging? >> I feel belonging took a bit of a >> Please level up your belonging. Um >> you're probably in an emotional fragile state though because you are swinging in a roller coaster. >> Uh you know emotions are being provoked and it's probably very unusual. >> This feeling of relief when I saw him in that situation. It was just like thanks God in here. That feeling very strange. It's almost like I need other people. It is weird. >> Um, yeah. Two streets away. It's uh it's a it's a stakeout. Or is it not a stakeout? What is the plan? How do you wish to proceed? >> I mean, it's a bar. We're getting into early evening. Why don't we go in for a drink? >> Yep. I suggest we stuck at our entrance. >> Yeah. You know, four of us, including yourself. I think potentially if you're last in as the distinctive member of the party. >> Well, so actually playing the the the the football star with a bodyguard is not a bad thing. So it could be the two of you and the two of us as the geeks going to the other. >> Yeah. >> And we go to different >> We are the ones that have weapons and they don't is very strange. >> Yeah. Actually, that's something as we know where it is. Uh should we move the SUV park near to it so that if you guys need it, you have your equipment? Yeah, that's a good plan. >> I I have a concealed weapon on me. Don't worry about it. >> Is it a concealed breaching hammer? >> But what about Gertrude in the van? >> Oh. Oh god. Grew. >> Yeah. >> Concealed breaching. I just ch >> I think moving the van closer to the place like a a 3minut walk around. >> I have made a ping hammer now. I'm sure I'm sure Aramaki will f the bill of that. We parked in a very expensive park. >> You uh run down. jump back in. >> So, we know we know where this is. >> Yes. So, the lock in a side alley, right? >> Yeah. You know, it's a lock box. It's a cheap rundown bar. As I said, as you head out of town, the li rides become low-rise and you're you're heading into that disused, becoming a bit derelict squatter district. Um, it should have a high crime report, but you can't pay enough police to do the policing to do that. So, gangs. >> Yeah. >> Unless there's some major shootout. This is the gangs area. Major. Oh, sorry. The major. >> I thought like I have a bit of a fun live for the major. >> A little flutter in his emotionally uh >> said major >> a bridge state. >> That's a friend you'd like. >> You repark the car. Um the driveways and the the pavement are cracked. Weeds are coming out of them. Um you know there's dust and silt all over the place. It is this is you know you are heading into the area where the policing does not happen. Um it is gang territory. You can see skid marks all over the street. Clearly bikers are prevalent here. Donuts uh and the such like. Plenty of signs of uh red light districts nearby. Um black market tents starting to go up. Uh yeah, you as a policeman, you know, you're getting into that area where you can start to buy illegal limbs, you know, stolen kidneys. This is getting into the dangerous area. Clearly, these blue eyes are the other end of the gang spectrum compared to the exchange. Um, >> this is a scene that again, you think of those shirro illustrations of those streets, you know, computers, black boxes, tanks from the war. >> Yeah. Broken up cars. It's that total dilapidation. It's the outside of Newport city. Uh, you park up mounting the curb. Uh, get out. Um, and and take in the street. Uh, cool boys. I wouldn't be leaving a be like that around here. That won't even have wheels by the time you boys get back. You know, >> I'll put the insectctor on and go. He's going to look after her. Make it fly on top of the set Sentinel boat. >> What? What? What's that? Don't Don't worry about it. How much for a meat on a stick? >> Well, if you I'll be happy to keep you fed and hungered all night if it, you know, a simple thing of just a one meat on the stick. 10 10 creds, which is an outrageous price for a kebab on the street. Clearly, he is offering to to stop people robbing it. Uh, if you want 10 creds for a stick, I mean, if you be looking for some drugs, I'm Hey, pleased to meet you. I'm the Mac knife. You want some reds? You want some droppers? Some uppers? I got some party poppers, some bill goes. What? What do you need? You need anything? Oh my Oh, oh my my sweet little boy. These aren't sweets. But if all you want is meat on the stick, then he he takes the uh the the the credits and he he hands you out. I mean, you just had an halum a beautiful halumi taco. He is now handing you questionable meat. Cofter >> as he hands you all one. >> I'll eat to him. I'm a big guy. >> Issue, boys. Any uppers, downers, pills? You want the night to go high or you want the that to just stay nice and chill? Brain chemistry is the best chemistry, boys. >> Mhm. >> Hey, hey, I think we should go and have a drink. >> Just just going to slowly pull his uh coat open to reveal the pistol rather than revealing mine to the sky. >> You are stuck in a position at this point, Sakai, because he is clearly a serious I'm green. >> I am a light. >> I'm green. >> Okay, perfect. >> You have a problem here. >> Yeah. >> Police procedure, major drug dealer. You need to report this guy. Reporting him before he can move on means your car's going to get stuck and is likely to gonna get because a bug's not going to save someone from jacking the car. >> No, it will alert us being busy. But if you're in the middle of a stakeout, that's not going to happen. And you are stuck >> with either conforming to police rigidity and pulling this in and getting this guy arrested on, you know, within the next two or three minutes picked up >> or you need to have an innovative attitude about how you handle this. What are you going to do with this situation to break away from or do you adhere to what your police procedural training wants you to do? >> I I think I'm going to have to break away from my training. Be innovative. >> The light is turn off. >> How about now? >> Yep. >> Green. >> I'm green. >> Green. Green. >> Green. >> It was green. >> Okay. >> Yep. All talk at the same time again. All talk at the same time again. Same time again. >> This is great. >> I imagine to check the continuous feed through to make sure that all five. Hello. >> Where's my hammer? >> I'm going to assume we're good. Oh no, he's coming back in. >> It was Chris. Hey, Chris. >> You are Are we doing bloopers? We love some bloopers. >> Great. I'm the entire outtake. Really? >> Oh, dear. What? Thank god. Me, too. All right. Oh, dear me. So's the guy. Do you conform? put this guy in and put your mission in danger with the car potentially being rolled and Gertude the breaching hammer being lost forever. Uh or have you an innovative solution about what needs to happen? >> I think I'm going to have to be innovative. I can't jeopardize the mission for this. You know, these especially in this area of city, there's so many of these low-level drug dealers. Uh he might be a conformance, but he's also not so inure to the system that he thinks anything will change if he stops this happening. Okay. Raise your innovation by one level. Uh remembering you can flex these things when you want to bring them into a situation where you feel innovation. If you're going to do something inventive like throw a Molotov cocktail, you could ask to bring innovation into the dice roll. But yes, you choose not just to arrest or have arrested everybody that you are meeting. Maybe he will have use at another time. The Mac knife. >> Yeah. um having refused all of his drugs, the uppers, the downers, the betty boops, and the blibbles. Well, we're not ready for that yet. We want a drink first and we'll we'll come back later when we decide in which way the evening is closer. Party is a party club. >> Yeah. >> Uh you head over the streets meandering around some wrecked old trolley. >> Retrieve the drone and go like a minute. You know, you are important. You could have defended a car. He doesn't understand. He just doesn't have the level. He It just Don't Don't worry. Don't worry. I put him back. >> Uh and you can see in front of you um a bar. It is not particularly big. Maybe an occupancy of 60. Uh, it does have some, you know, that as every bar does in in a rundown street area of music blaring out from a disco that has been started too loud and too early because they are too few people. >> Too few people cuz they are trying to convince you that it's popular and you should come in. Um, yes, the lock box. Uh, >> ground floor. There you go. Street doors going. Um, you two heading first. Whereabouts did we leave the car? >> So I imagine we've parked it just kind of Yeah, like somewhere out >> somewhere nearbyish. >> Okay, we can't leave it like close by. >> Here come down the side street where you're breaching. >> Gas has her own parker. >> Yeah. >> So I suggest >> Well, we go in you draw attention to >> Sorry about this, J. Should we take a Do you want to just take in 5 minutes? There's another battery pack has gone out. So I'm just going to go. I don't have enough recharges. I'm just going to go and grab some more. >> Uh the lock box. You two have chosen to go in first uh as uh a sports star and his bodyguard. Uh going to a dive. Who knows what things you're up to at this late this hour of the evening in this section of town. Uh as the >> I imagine you've been in worse places >> personally. Uh the bar is sparssely populated. You know, it's early afternoon heading into evening, maybe 7:00. Um the boos over here in front of the DJ area with a sticky carpet. It always exists empty. Uh there's a couple of bar flies standing around the bar drinking and chatting to the two bar staff. Um there's uh clearly um a tattoo theme to this area. It's called the lock box, but there's a lot of weird keys, not just your classic kind of Yale or Porter trellis locks. There's those kind of hellraiser twisted unusual keys with flanges in all directions. And there's a definite feel of art here with the tattoos of various different boxes and unusual locks, you know, cipher wheel locks, all that kind of stuff. Um, the private seating area has got a few people sat down uh nursing their drinks. Uh they're wearing overalls. They're a bit scraggy and rough around the edges. Clearly, they've done a hard day's work and they've stopped off here for some unknown reason to have a beer before they can get going. The DJ uh is absently chewing on a horrible meat stick, probably from the same Mac Knife Shack that you've just frequented. Uh he did buy some uh blue dingo pills as he pops one into the back of his throat, cracks down on the te down on it like Gary Oldman and just chugs back whatever narcotic is going down his throat. He twists and dials. The music continues to pump out. He starts to play with the neon lights. Uh it's it's >> I don't know why you said they're two of them are trying to trying to make a self populace but they just don't know what to do to change their trade. A few people glance over at you. You're not recognized. This isn't your your main cut through area. >> This can be >> it can be it could and can be your main area. >> Uh you you stand in front of the door like two out of town cops looking desperately out of place. I don't think that's us. We're both reckless. >> We'll be straight in. >> Straight to the bar. All right. Okay. Straight to the bar. >> However, as I am acting as his bodyguard, >> I'm going to stand back a little bit >> and uh I'm going to be sort of giving the case in the joint, making sure he's okay. Uh, okay. Case in the joint. Uh, we'll go for an athletics and perceptive test. an athletic awareness and perceptive test which we will we will round back on if you get a great or a bad roll. Get bad bad bad picking up. Nice. >> One second. >> Damn you die. >> One second. >> Oh yes. Double explosion. >> Hey. What we learned is that we don't need a cool IP or anything. We just need to have the the exploding mechanic. >> Hours of we call this game GM trauma. Inflicts on a setting of your choice. >> Exploding GMs. A dear me. Um you you shuffle up to the bar. Uh the barman uh bar lady in fact gives you eyes you lock down. You have no tattoos of locks uh on your skin art. Um, so she's just she's going doesn't even say what you want. She just kind of looks at you and nods as if to say so. Yeah. >> Ah, then we'll start off as we mean to go on. Let's have a double. Yeah. Yeah. Whiskey. Well, I'll start off with a What bourbon? >> Bottom or top shelf? >> Top shelf. >> McKennith McCain. Uh, they've only got three whisies here. Uh, not a massive selection. This is, you know, not the kind of place you're used to, but you do, you know, the their most expensive is probably your bottom end whiskey that you would allow yourself to drink. >> We we'll start off with that. Yeah. Yeah. >> Cool. Uh you flash the credits putting it on the company uh expenses card. Uh you clearly Glender in accounting is going to be coming up asking if you really need to spend working. >> But you got Blender in your back pocket in accounting. You you can you'll be all right. It's expensive. She'll let it go. Uh, she puts down um and then almost as an afterthought, she goes drops an ice cube. >> Well, >> with her fingers, not >> she passes you over whatever it is that that that you are after. >> I I've wand I've wandered off. I'm wandered off. >> Yeah, >> I'm I'm having a look around here. Making making sure there seems to be nobody around. >> Checking the corners. >> Okay, fair play. Yeah, corners. >> She serves you the drink, she takes the money, kind of looks you up or down, clearly sizing you up as a piece of meat. Um, and goes back to talking to her regulars. >> Cool. >> I'll take the can across to the uh the area. >> What's um this area over here? >> So, we got the DJ's got some obvious tables where you said there's not many people. Uh dotted lines are dictating zones if we need to get into if a fight happens. Obviously behind the bar is a zone because you got cover and all these things. Um this door has got private marked on it. Um there is a door marked office that leads to the office here, but this is just marked private. Um it does have a fairly reasonable lock on it. Um, unlike with a very good perception test, uh, unlike the Office, which is just kind of a it's just a very simple mag, you know, people just have it attuned to their SIM chips and they just they're opening it through Wi-Fi. That is an actual old-fashioned mortise lock and key. It is not the kind of thing you can just flash open uh with a Wi-Fi signal. >> Something that a breaching hammer might be quite >> something that a breaching hammer might come in useful for. If I were you, >> Gertude's ID. >> Yeah, Gertude will be able to get in there. >> Gertude would get in there in uh the other room. >> Um what did you get on your perception test? >> Eight. Eight. Uh yes. Uh there are a lot of people that look uh say there's about six people in here that look rough, um tired, they're hardworking, and this is the rundown area. This is a manual labor district. Uh there are, however, two of them. Um, and you spot uh that both of them have got cyber eyes. Um, they're not blue or anything. Um, but they do both of them do have cyber eyes. Um, and one of them has a concealed gun. Um, you know, as he reaches over to get a pretzel off of the table, you just catch a flash of a strap of some kind of holster internalized uh to his clothing. Um, and they are talking on one table and the other four people are talking table. Other than that, it's just a DJ who's wildly out of touch with modern trends, playing some music that was popular 3 years ago and is just not going to cut it in the modern cutting edge world. >> I can't beat box. >> Uh, you two, I think, would probably walk in at that point. You know, you'd give each other time to uh get their drinks and head off. Um, you swing in to be met with the the same situation. A glance from the bar. Um, the DJ uh more people coming in. Yeah, his fingers got it. He's got it. He turns the volume up just a little bit. He starts to do some uh mixing as he blends in the next tune. I'm just going to make dice rolls myself cuz I fail everything against you. Seven. See, I can make rolls for no reason. Uh, he does a beautiful piece. He bleeds in some subharmonics from another track, comes up in a polyhonic crescendo before going on into the next track. >> And he starts to give you the whoop whoop kind of hand signals as he he clearly believes he's cracked it tonight. >> Just just across the network. I'm going to say, "I'm going to get a drink. Go sit in that corner and turn him off." I >> I thought I was I was wondering whether I have to return his hand gesture. No, no, no. Go sit over there. Make him turn down my music. The nerd team has arrived. >> I'm going to be wandering over this way as well. And I am going to although I'm working, I'm still going to give a a nod of appreciation. >> So he can feel some love. >> One love. >> I sit in a corner, darkest corner there, and angst whether he meant it literally or not, whether I should act or not. >> Just turn make him turn down my music. You sure? You mean it? >> Yes. >> Are we on these? Are we on these coms? >> Yeah. Like >> you party poopers. >> Okay. >> To hack the guy. >> Absolute sponges. >> It would help me. >> Oh no. I kind of assumed you go for a hack. >> You don't need to even hack the guy. You just need to hack the PA system. Okay. >> You know, it's it's the same as hacking the security cameras. >> Let's see what we got. >> No. No. The DJ, not the machine. Otherwise, if he works for machines, tell him >> barrier two. This is this is a bottom end establishment. They would have been they barely carry >> I'm just going to send a single two-word message. Fun sponge. >> The volume just starts to drop down. >> I don't know what that mean. >> I mean, you soak up all the fun that's around you. Yeah. >> The volume starts to drop down. The DJ suddenly looks panicked. Uh he from nowhere pulls out a a soldering kit and a screwdriver and starts to pop the covers on the PA systems just assuming his wiring's gone. Um but the volume does drop all the way down the blaring neon pulses uh drift away and as the light rescends slightly uh and you know there's less UV in your faces. Uh, as you arrive at the bar, uh, you're like, "Oo, that's some nasty ink work." You know, it's only the UV. It's clearly been designed for UV, but in daylight, it's just a bit of a It doesn't look good. It doesn't It's not a smear, but it's it's clearly designed with UV links. It's designed to look good only in a nightclub. Um, yeah, it's a bit more of a blurp. Uh, and she she looks at you, uh, pops an ear pod out because you to blot out the noise. What? What do you want? >> Uh, just two soft drinks, please. And uh, >> I told you soft drinks. >> Yeah. >> Do you like pina coladas? >> That's not soft. >> It's about as soft as I'm going to get with you, hun. >> I guess I'll have to do >> shakes her head. >> Yeah. What she does then she turns back >> sour grape juice. >> Thank you. >> Two four creds. >> Yeah, I said over. >> Thank you. >> Just shakes her head at the idea of soft drink. She whatever this whiskey sours is she's put in front of you. Clearly she is dis disgusted at herself for having served it. >> I'm liking this place more and more. You got your sort of crowd. I'll send across the network and I'll uh >> The volume starts to come back up as he's uh sorted everything out, rebalanced his electronics and rebooted some system. >> Has he just turned off the Wi-Fi? >> Quick reboot. Everything has been He doesn't know. He's not very technical. Got a nice wiring kit though. >> It depends. >> It depends if it was actually attached to the network in the slightest part anyway. But yeah, disconnect the network connection. the UV lights start to uh come back up and uh the the ink jobs and tattoos of the people start to, you know, come back. Um >> beautiful keys, you know, all those various different forms of keys from across the ages. Mythology and science fiction. >> While all that was going on, can I have a bit of a lean on that door to see if it is locked? >> Um >> yeah, you're a big guy. It doesn't require a roll. You would know if there was just one lock at this level. There is a lock here and there is a bolt at the top and there is a bolt at the bottom. Um, and as you yeah as you kind of look around there's kind of a a classic yale at the top and a Yale at the bottom to retract the bolts and there's like a normal and then the door handle. We really need a shotgun and a >> So you either need to you either need to do >> some picking uh with a distraction to get through that door or you need to give aggress with a bit more affirmation, shall we say? >> Or you could push it harder. >> I I was being subtle just as an investigation. Yeah. >> After dropping off a drink which you absolutely hated making, I'm going to go make a friend again and come back to the bar. Oh. >> Oh. She rounds on you, uh, shakes her head, and then the other bar lady intercepts at this point as she just kind of leans down, you know, kind of classic biker leathers of the area with the tassels tied up. How can I help, hun? >> Sorry for my friend's drinks. Um, I I'll have a beer and uh know where Psych is. >> Uh, Psyche's He's not in yet. He's uh probably be around about an hour, hour and a half's time. been out a lot lately coming back. Um, >> yeah, not a problem. >> Blaming you for transfer money. Although to be fair, he did have two of them. So, you know, >> well, the first one was for him to drink and the second one was to get him over the jitters of what happened to the bowling. >> Very thoughtful. Friends of >> Yeah, she pours you the beer. Uh, she is very happy uh to do so. >> Yeah. Sounds good. Okay, so we know that Psych is theoretically not here yet. We've got a locked door with a lot of precautions for the place. Um, do you want to go make some friends, Hero? Go start chatting to people. You seem to be good at that. >> No, I'm good, thanks. Nah, >> nothing in this place. I want really be able to do that. We've got to cause a distraction if we want to get in the the lock room or go upstairs. I think they uh probably if Psych is here in in an hour or two about an hour you said just wait for him right before make him scare him off and he doesn't know I'm going to go upstairs. >> Where's his dad? >> Where's upstairs? >> The stairs outside of the building. >> The fire escape outside. Yes, it is an oldfashioned ramshackle rusted old uh fire escape just like the streets with trolley just used over the place. It's >> a bit crapped out. Uh, what's your body or your muscle? >> D4. Yeah, you're not big enough to reach up and grab that. It's going to need a fair amount of weight to pull it down. It's probably going to squeal. >> D4. >> Do you want to send your bug? >> What? Have a war ever looking. >> Yeah, you could. You can make a jump. It's a muscle test with athletics to reach up and grab it. Um, cool. Have you gonna >> Your question is whether you have the physical bal I'll send my friend >> run down rust. >> Yeah. Yeah. Good idea. Yeah. >> You know, it's it's going to it's rusted. It's going to need a bit of effort. >> It'll get a lot of people's attention if it makes a loud clatter. Yeah. Potentially just a bug. >> So, I'll the idea of bit of the fresh air just going. Uh, okay. Cool. Grab a blue porn. Um, which is going to be your primary bug. >> Michael. >> He's my friend. >> Uh, >> I look so much like Gertude now. >> Okay, cool. As I said, it's a rundown low-rise area as you go out of the city. Um, this is the fire escape. The drone just goes up. Um, this is the first floor building here. Um, this area here, there is a spiral staircase which clearly connects to whatever's behind that door. And this is actually an open air ver. There are two really grim white plastic tables covered in mold. Clearly, this guy site guy does not bother to clean up at all after himself. Uh, there is a barbecue there. Um, the the probably pulled out of some old disused camper van. The hose looks really dodgy and could probably cause a gas explosion at a moment's notice. >> Not bothered to be clean. >> I'm a demolition's expert. >> The you you could just go down this spiral staircase. This is obviously open to the elements. There might be water down there. Uh there's some rubbish, broken plastic seating around this verander area. Um detritus in the alleyway from the barbecues as this person has. Uh there's a set of doors here. little doors. >> Um, >> okay. >> This is all kind of patio window, so you can see into the main living area. Apparently, Psych is quite a fitness buff. He's got an exercise bike, uh, a running machine, and a rowing machine. Um, considering this rundown area, and that's the the quality of that equipment, Sykes has come into some good money. >> Cash. Okay. >> Guess I'll be arm stealing. We know that's his drone. >> Go down the >> Yeah. >> Michael Michael will try to go down the stairs a bit and have a look at the room downstairs. >> Yeah. Okay. You come out into this room here. It's feeding. Um door off to one side. Uh lights on. Um all ozone buzzing kind of uh strip lighting. There's storage boxes up against one wall. Um the the words all over it would declare boxes of glasses, bar towels, you know, beer mats, that kind of general supply. Um but there is uh to the north of me, um there is some heavy plastic sheeting. Um this is the eight point drone >> 10. >> Yeah, the 10point drone bug. Cool. So the thermal sensors on the drone are telling you that it is much colder in that room. um >> anything in there or just >> you you you'd have to move the sheeting out the way and it's quite heavy sheeting like if you ever been into some it's a cellar sheeting freezer freezer space so a little bug is not going to get through >> supplies boxes of glasses beer towels >> right right >> nuts pretzels >> in your in your comics could I do something more risky like sending the drone under that tooling thingy or >> did we see anybody through the patio window and beard only had a brief look. You haven't kind of come up to the corner to get a, >> you know, the full angle. You'd have to have a >> Why don't we do that? >> The other angle. >> The door there, by the way, is that physical lock or tech lock? >> Uh, physical lock. >> Okay. So, I still have like padlock style. >> Uh, yeah. Um, unlike this door, which is obviously multibbolted because they don't want people getting into the cellar where all of their supplies and whiskies are. >> Um, this is just a kind of a classic French patio door. Panes of glass run down paint coming off here and there. Just a single chick kind of lock. Um, all of that wall here is glass. As I said, you can see some very nice new uh sport training equipment. Mini gym here. TV on the wall. Very expensive. Clearly, again, totally out of place. Um, the armchair has been replaced, but the sofa is still old and nasty. Clearly been in existence for a long time, but the sofa is one of those easy boys lie back moments. Um, you can see no sign. I mean, in the the 3 minutes that it's hovering there, I'm not going to take up tell you how long you're you are in any position. There's no movement in the area. There's no lighting on. Um, you're just you're what you can see is from the general sus lighting of the around area. There's no street lights, so you're very rapidly going to lose vision in this building. >> Y Okay, we leave the leave Michael there to look at, you know, cover the the entrance. And >> do we want to do >> quick rotation of the building as well? Like where is the normal entrance to to this flat? Is it is the only way up the spiral staircase? If there are any other entrances all around, isn't it just fly by around? >> Do a rotation. Do a rotation. >> Trying to stay in the dark because it definitely doesn't look like a normal insect. Like, what the hell? >> Uh, okay. So, the drone does a fly by of the whole area. Um, there are no adjoining buildings. This is a standalone event. Two twostory rundown. Um, >> are these not adjoining buildings here? >> They're not adjoining. No, there's an alleyway close, but there's a gap. >> Oh, a joining. >> Um, >> an alleyway. >> Make a Yeah, make an awareness and a perceptive test to see if you can spot anything unusual. >> So, I would use awareness D6. >> Are you using yours or the drones? >> It is the drones. >> Uh, which is probably better than me from any point of view. All right. Get >> into awareness D12. >> Awareness D12. Exactly. And >> yes, what do what do your drone eyes player dice? >> Oh, I fumbled an ice cube. I got older. >> So, there is no other um entrances or exits from the first story. But what you do notice is, you know, the French doors are run down, paint chipping off. Um the outdoor verand area is run down. It's horrible. Well, it's just it this whole place has that end of life feeling apart from this section of brick wall from there to there. >> Um, >> it's solid been re you wouldn't know what the [ __ ] you would It's a different color than everything. It's not run you knows. >> You don't know what repointing is. >> It has been repaired, repointed. The bricks there are much cleaner. >> Looks newer. >> Um, looks much newer. That section of the wall is very well cared for. >> I'll report a bit of an anomaly >> up there. That's just on the first floor kind of above where the door is for this one. >> Yeah, there's nothing that associates with that area from the ground. >> Above that or above? >> Uh, right. Yeah. So, I've slightly misdrawn my map. So, um, that big block there doesn't exist. This is directly above that. AP that's just directly above the guys with the cyber eyes. Yeah. >> The cyber eyes are on that middle table and the workmen are on this table. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, as far as still, the only route up is via that fire exit or via the spiral staircase off of a rander. >> So, if we want to get upstairs, we need someone to pull down that fire escape or to go through that door. >> Yeah. Stick them on there. >> Is this This is a door. Yeah. DJ push shove some basement jacks on. >> Oh, old school >> mixed with run DMC. Oh, it's just a it's a it's a it's a late naughties hell in here. >> It's just a collision. >> Clearly, he's decided it's retro night. >> Yay. >> He's brought four people in. >> I I love this. >> He's going to ask ask for a raise. >> So, we're thinking that's where he's storing the armaments. >> Be we do need to talk to him about where he's getting them from, though. Yeah, the guns are one thing, but actually it's the source of them is what we're here for. What we're trying to clamp down on. So, >> should we go into the first floor and wait for mr physical, do you want to try and pull down that fire escape outside? >> Sorry. All I heard was let's get that part of the music. >> Can you get >> Cuz you're tall enough to just kind of grab it. >> Yeah. Now, I'm I'm thinking that um if if you could hack the DJ system again and get it to make a big amount of noise just at the exact same time that I pull it down. >> All right. Like spike it to 11. >> Does this one go up to 11? >> Just make 10 louder. >> Final time. >> 11. >> Uh yeah, you finish off your beer. Uh you head out. Um you are continuing to lean on the edge of the bar just kind of listening to stuff. Please make me a awareness and perceptive role. >> Cracking perception. Uh we got 2D uh D8 awareness. So D4 and a D8. >> Five. Five. >> Well, no explosion. Nothing. >> No explosion. >> You sure those are your ducks? Are they not my dots? No. No. One and two. No, that's fair. It wasn't one and two. Um the guys that the two guys that have got the cyber eyes um but they're not blue or anything um but have a concealed gun. They have whilst they've been this 20 minutes has been going on they have rejigged themselves around to give themselves a different view cuz you're kind of blocking the view into the bar area. >> So they've shoved themselves this way a little bit so they got a much better view. Um, they seem to be getting a little their body language. They're getting a bit not just impatient or fed up. Um, not worried or anything. They just, you know, maybe they're bored. But, you know, when you're bored, you go home. >> Yeah. Yeah. That's how it works. >> You don't kind of carry on hanging out in the pub, do you? >> Just a bit unusual. Uh, okay. Um, >> you you reach into the Wi-Fi and prepare to give it a nice big scratching noise. >> Maximum firepower. >> Make Make me the tech expert in hacking roll. Uh, make me your muscle athletics test. It's not difficult. You are the huge fan. >> Can I uh turn on my signal jammer? >> Oh, uh, yeah. Um, >> you said that after I declared rolls, so that's going to happen. Then the signal jammer is going to kick in. His decking rolls are now his hacking rolls are now going to come harder. >> Yep. >> Nine. >> Uh, yeah. Cool. There you you time it perfectly. You're on the closed cons. There's this massive like ra screech. >> Um, >> you reach up. >> I think it's got a three. >> You just got a three. >> Only a three. >> Oh my word. so fast. You reach up and grab and you pull and it Oh, it can't quite Oh, it's so rusty. >> And you're left hanging there, Anderson. Your reckless huge muscular bulk swinging. >> I'm just I'm just doing polar ground. >> Yeah, I'm doing pull-ups on it. >> It's You're going to have to give it another big yank. >> Another check. >> Uh, another check. Are you going to feed back the system a second time, Ku? Everyone is looking up going, "OH, I [ __ ] SAW IT OUT. WHAT'S ALL THIS?" >> IT'S FULLY LOST. Apart from the bar ladies with their ear plugs. >> Seven. >> Yeah, it's not a problem. You can see the feedback. One of the speakers starts to spark and blow. The subwoofer goes, the bass is gone in it. There's just a lot of treble at this point. >> Just manage the wide pull up. Got the wide pullup. >> There is this screeching rending noise. Um, you've destroyed uh the springs. There's no way this is going back up. Hiding what you have done here is impossible after a failed roll into a just success. Um, it is very obvious that this has been lowered and it is going to stay lowered. And then your closedcoms cuts out static uh brawl bands into the ether as you look over to Hero uh who's just kind of giving you the nod as he taps on his signal jammer. >> Okay. >> Which does nothing to the music or the PA system. It just it just interrupts you. Why wideband transmissions just get uh cuz the speakers are all wired. You can't interrupt that, but you can override it. >> Okay. >> Um you're down to verbal communication. >> Does anyone else react to the signal? Jammer going off. >> Uh make me a awareness and intuition role. >> Bit intuitive. Insight. Insightful. Apologies. Insightful. >> No one reacts whatsoever. Adely I'm only just dead eyeing just >> looking at this music. I'm not paid enough for this. >> I thought I told someone to turn that off. >> I'm trying. I'm trying. It's just not stopping. >> Did you activate it? Where are you now? We can always speak. You are >> the queen has activated. >> You're over there. You're over there, right? So we can Yeah, we can. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> Is enough to cover that one zone area. Oh, >> six zones. Yeah. Six. It's big. It's big, isn't it? So, yeah, it's only one zone. I knew it was big enough for that. It's the whole building. >> Um, cool. It is down. Um, it is screechy. >> I'm going upstairs. >> Rust goes everywhere through your hair. You're sure Bart is going to demand it. You just need to clean up. Look. >> Uh, I splashed myself in the sink, Kelly. What you need? >> And obviously, it comes up here and gives you just enough. There's a platform that you just step out onto and you're on the ver on the ver. I'm just gonna move Michael sitting on top of the bar. >> What happens to Michael without any signal? >> Uh, he goes into auto, which means he just kind of hovers. Um, >> auto land. No, he wouldn't auto land cuz he might get trotten on. He probably rises up to like a minimum 2 m off the ground. So, he's outside of jump and snatch or getting hit by a truck range and then just goes into self-control mode. >> Yes, he's in AI mode, which is actually makes him more intelligent than me probably. So, >> just just sits there hovering. continue to record stuff and it will upload it to the core module that you hold when Wi-Fi comes back. Uh, you're up there. Um, those two gentlemen get up and the yellow pawns start to leave. What do you do at the top, Anderson? There's a rubbish patio, French patio window. flake, paint, putty, just pull um chipped away from lack of care. >> I'm just going to give it a kick. >> Yeah, it Okay, make me a muscle test. It's It is not difficult. >> Eight. >> Yes. Back to normal roll. I see. >> Uh it goes through. It rattles. Some of the window panes crack but don't smash out. Uh yeah, it's not designed to hold uh against that kind of brute force. And in you go. What is anybody else doing at this period? You are out of coms. You've no idea what We're losing coms. Anderson left. I will go and try and support Anderson so we have at least one ghost and one shell on each story of this building. >> All right. So, you want me to stay here? >> Yeah. You stay here. >> Okay. >> So, I'll head out. >> These guys come out and head right over towards the drrome area where the Viking gang is. You know that the the um the blue-eyed gang live or at least frequent as their base of operations. You come. >> Are you coming in behind me? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just coming. You're not in combat. Who's >> I'm already over here checking out the kitchen by the time you walked in. >> What? What are we cooking? >> As as with the rest of this flat, it's in this weird state of rundown, dilapidated, you know, not able to end make ends meet, having to live on top of a horrible club pumping out heavy bass till 2 in the morning. Um, but it's now changing. Beautiful comfy boy. chair, the big TV, the row machines. The kitchen's an absolute mess. It's horrible. But as you open up cupboards, there's like actual food, proper rice. In the fridge and freezer, there's actual meat. Um, clearly psych has come into some good money. Um, that's yeah, cupboards, kitchens, cutlery, knives, and forks, plates, a fair amount. Obviously, he likes his barbecues. There's packs of of burger grills. Um, pre-fired onions. He's lazy. I'm going to go upstairs as well. >> You go upstairs. Uh, leaving Kazu on his own in the club. >> You waved like that. What you doing? >> It's a disco thing. But I'm going to I I just signal like that and then we go upstairs. >> Okay. I will sit in my corner sipping be my pina colada with your whiskey whiskey sourc the the bar lady you know just did not enjoy making for you >> uh up we go into the stairs cool mix around the next room along is a bedroom he has changed his sheets he's upgraded uh but he's you know he's not gone for mental fluffy pillows or upholstery cuz he's not a girl. Um but in the corner of that room there is a serious door um just there. It is metal heavy set. The frame has been totally replaced. Um this is a serious piece of equipment and this is going to need a breaching hammer minimum possibly a breaching charge. >> Okay. Um, so as we can speak verbally and nothing else, go get Gertrude. Turn off the signal jammer, please. >> So anything once we breach through there, it will alert whoever is that we're that we're So at the moment, no signal has emanated from this building to say we're up here. >> Kazu, the chap walks in quite wiry, um, thin, a bit gaunt, doesn't look after himself, stubble. Uh, but he is wearing some very new nice clothes, a new biker's jacket, uh, real jeans, boots that are the correct size, not scuffed. Clearly somebody there that's, you know, got a reasonable amount of money. He waves at the the the bar lady and she goes, "Hey, Psych. Yeah, there's some guys in here for you at le Oh, they gone. Oh, no worries." She goes, "Don't worry, darling. I'll be back. I I'll be in upstairs all night." comes up to the door. Static floods your comm channels. >> Do you want these two back as well? >> Not just yet. Two guys come through the door. Uh, blue light pulls out of their eyes into the room. um they're wearing their biker jackets, you know, armored coats, Kawasaki cycle symbols all over them or the modern um the, you know, the Newport equivalent. Um they have no pretense of covering their guns uh on suicide holsters used to swing up an SMG on a motorbike where it can just drop it. It will hang loosely with no actual holster. Oi, psych. Uh, at which point he blitzes through the door, slams it. Uh, yeah. What are you doing as you stand around? Are you eating his pot noodles and cringles in his kitchen >> as you uh What are you doing to with the door? You going to rowing machine? >> Fun. Smash open this. I think I'll go that way and go into the far corner. So close to you. Try to duck down. Stay out the way. So, whoever's coming up, >> you duck down having heard the slamming the door and the you know that if you ever heard somebody go up a metal spiral staircase like clang clang clang clang clang clang clang clang noise >> I going sit in the easy boy easy boy just put my feet up just put the gun across my arm underneath yeah ready ready for this conversation >> I've been waiting for you >> I think it's white >> Anderson I'm going to stay in the room kind of tucked in behind the doorway So I can see outside but duck out of sight anyway. So >> okay. Yeah. Total concealment not being concealed at all. Stealth check with reflexes please. >> Yeah. So reflexes is a d8. I did not take any other abilities. >> Where is he? Oh my god. He's just pressed pressed himself against the wall. >> Just an eight. >> I'll I'll I'll make my awareness and perceptive roll. No. Three and a five. Well, at least I got a five. >> Big times have arrived. >> Just loading a tran dart as well. I'll just tran dart as well. TR dart ready for Yeah. How expecting trouble. I will also drop the disguised weapon casing from my hand cannon. Fair play. Fair play for the Sykes comes up through the the area. As he's doing that, he's bringing out a key. Um he rushes straight up to the doors. uh before he realizes the doors have been blasted open by, you know, a 6'4 semi Norweedic uh Japanese chap uh who's got, you know, who's pining for his breaching hammer uh before he comes to a screeching halt. We will then go uh to uh casual initiative um a casual initiative role >> cuz we're not 10 anyone. Yes, it's reflexes. So, it's no one's shooting each other just yet. >> Four. >> Four. Are players allowed to get less than a six? >> Uh, you said you heard the derision. >> Oh, don't worry. I got a three. I'm still lost. >> I got a four as well. >> Um, the blue the members of the blue eye gang are in motion across the thing. Um, they are clearly going to put their shoulders down, KU, and they they intend to just take the door. Um, seven just >> and then the pina colada here, please. >> Seven. >> What would you like to do on seven? Uh, he's clearly come to a halt going, "Oh." And he goes, "Oh shit." As he's out his clearly his apartment's been broken into. >> Yes. Obviously, I can't I have no awareness of this. So, all I have is someone has smashed through and they're coming in. Um, so I think I'm going to ready my hand cannon for if anyone else comes up the stairs cuz I have two friends inside to deal with him. Um, or if he charges me, then I'll uh shoot him. >> Okay, not a problem. You hold action to deal with what may be pursuing the person who is at pace. Six, five, four. >> Yes. Four. Uh, I'm just going to trank him >> or bring out the laser. >> Yeah. Here. Is it even a power play? Do you just shoot him whilst like lying back in the easy chair or do you even do him the grace or do you do you even stand up? >> No, I just ch you just do it with him lying down in the chair. >> You're not going to talk to him first. >> No, no, no. He's got a gun. >> He's just going to shoot him as he comes. >> Has he got a gun? >> He's got a gun out. He's drawing a like a big magnum as he's coming in. You know, but he's got to come in as you just trank him in the face. Okay. Make it to hit roll. He is in the same zone. >> Uh so there's no range penalties. >> Brilliant. >> All my care plan. >> So you got reflexes on pistol. >> Yeah. >> Shall I assume Psych is moving fast though? >> Uh yeah. Do you know what? Yes. He's hard to hit. >> Rolls. >> He's You need a six. >> Yeah. Two. Yeah. Yeah. How How's it feel? >> Flirt in the in the doorway. >> The dark as the drugs get injected into the wood. >> Three. >> Hang on. No, I was also >> um Oh, heaven forbid I get an action. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm going to get my SMG out. >> It's escalated quickly. of its control thing. But I'm also I'm going to prepare an action again. So if it looks like my colleague is under threat, I will fire on him. Otherwise, he's going to hold off. >> He he is running straight that way. Uh he is going to shoot at the man with the tran gun on on his three. I'm going to go psych stop and just point my gun in his direction using a bit of my intimidation as a big >> presence. Uh presence is used for intimidation. >> Um >> do you have any kind of ability to flex on that uh with your skills or anything? I'm going to step you up one level with huge cuz I think huge is just genius the way the games have been playing for. I do have a criminal thing which allows me to do rerolls if it's of a criminal nature. >> Oh, this is definitely a criminal nature. You're in the middle of his house robbing it, breaking the entry, eating his Pringles, li sitting in his easy chair. >> I don't think I'm going to need the right roll. >> Why am I here? Uh >> these dice are never normally this good. Probably when it's funny. >> So to answer your question, to narrate. >> Yeah, I am here to narate. Uh uh he does have resilient so he's used to a bit of street violence so he's going to >> got a five. Yeah. That's not a bad role for me. >> He comes to a screeching halt. You're not blue eyes. >> We're here to help you put that gun. >> Whatever you want. Just help. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He uh he he doesn't drop it. He just kind of lets it loosely. >> You just holster. >> He's holding it by the by the finger guard. >> He's not he's not stupid. He he knows that you could snap his finger off. So, he's just kind of loosely, but he's just kind of holding it. His eyes are focused on that door over there that the armor >> I I just say just don't point that in my direction and we'll be fine. >> Or >> these two guys go into the door. Um, >> at three. Is that three? >> That is three. >> Three. I am three as well. >> I am on D6 reflex. You are cool. So, I'm going to say I go first cuz I was I was always at a run. Um, now when it's my NPCs trying to catch my NPCs, I get a six and an eight. >> Well, the DA and >> the double explosion. >> It's It's of no use when I'm trying to hurt you. When the baddies are chasing the baddies, >> they surely don't want to hurt us. >> There we go. I'll take my eight. The door cracks. Um, there's two of them. Uh, so the second one goes in. A seven and a five. Of course, now is the time my dice roll hot. Crack, crack, bang. Um, every you would definitely hear that. I'm gonna say you two don't cuz you're in the middle of kind of a hight tense conversation. You're focused on each other. The door goes. Um, it swings open. Um, you can see the spar staircase, everything in that room exactly as your bug had a look. Um they are not going to be able to go up this round because obviously uh you would hear that explosion of of metal and um bolts coming out of the wood. Um that is the end of that's their turn. Yours on three. >> Okay. Yeah. I'll attempt to hack one of them because obviously they're so distracted that even if I fail, you probably won't notice. So >> Okay. I am going to give you minus two steps which you can apply to one dice or one to each dice because the signal jammer is on. >> Okay. Uh, so normally it's a D8 and a D8. >> So can I have two D6 or a D4 and a D8? >> I'll go D4 and D8. >> I'll let you worry about the statistics of the best way of doing that. I just >> I have no idea. >> I can't make him fail roll. >> I can make him fail. >> Explode. The six explode. >> Uh, now another eight. >> Oh, >> six. >> Just a six. >> Just a six. Uh, their barrier is three. Again, it's street level gear. There is nothing incredible about it. Um, >> Yep. Okay. >> It's pretty basic. >> Yeah. So, this is I could slow him down, but I don't want to. I just for the moment I just use that because in the next turn I will be upgrading because basically I want to go. >> You put your hand in there. You've got the access to his codes. Uh, you you've peeled back the firewalls. >> I start to download these memories, but I don't affect them for now. >> Cool. Yeah, you start to download like the this is the where we came from. This is where it's going to take >> memory damp and chase them and keep a >> cool um back to the top. You're on held action. So just shout whenever you want to go otherwise we go five four. Sorry. I will continue for movement. I stand up and slowly kind of you know walk slowly. >> Did you finish your drink? >> I'm the Oh my god. Did he not even finish one of them? >> He didn't even finish one of his whiskey. S I mean strong staff, man. >> He'd never come back to this bar. You just >> What would you like to do? >> I don't think he's going to be welcome. >> Innovative problems are quite innovative solutions. Uh I'm going to put the gas mask on now. >> Uh and then I will just continue holding my action with uh my hand cannon again. Now, I've heard even more violence occurring downstairs, preparing for whoever's going to come up there. >> Um, >> uh, okay. Fur five. >> We'll move like over here. >> It might it might line. >> Well, no, cuz he's coming this way. He's coming across this way. So, it doesn't matter. I mean, I think he's slowed down a fair bit now. He's >> Yeah, he he has he has come to has come to a halt. >> Yeah, we we'll we'll usher him against this back wall. We'll usher him against the wall for the kitchen. >> Oh, yeah. uh presence uh role cuz you just you know you can intimidate him into a >> a mugging against the wall effectively. So you know it's >> four or I can use deception or persuasiveness. >> You can use persuasiveness cuz that's all part of like convincing someone that they should stand against the wall and being mugged. No. >> So it's a four. >> Yeah. No, he is tough on the streets. Uh and he does not back into the kitchen. Uh so he just kind of rotates around you a little bit. is >> leaving himself exposed in the open to the field coming out. That's his choice. >> I guess not to be his choice. He doesn't Yeah, he doesn't he doesn't want to be cornered. That's his main thing. >> Um that was probably feels he apologies. Apologies. Apologies, Anderson. >> Um >> what is your operative training telling you now is the right time to do? >> Where are the guns? S >> I'm sorry. He just he just points in the safe room pointing in this general direction. >> Okay. I swear my breaching hammer. What What do I see over there? >> I'm going to go this way. Behind a reinforced door. >> Okay. Now, I'm just going to stand around here with my gun pointing at him. I don't want him running off too much. >> Cool. Uh okay. So, on three. Um you you would hear echoing up. Psych. You said you weren't going to sell to anyone other than us. I'm going to gut you. Uh as these boys uh and start coming in this direction. Um >> double move. They have pulled their their SMGs from their kind of slung suicide holsters, I think they're called, cuz they're bringing it up. They can't fire this round cuz having to do a full double move. Um they are coming very quickly. >> Yeah. So readyied action. I'll shoot the back one. >> Okay. Um it is make the Oh, no. Did you make the stealth roll, didn't you? Yes. What was the It was the seven. You made the stealth. They do not spot you. Um, so it is a two to hit and because they are totally unaware of you, you automatically max your damage dice and it explodes. >> No, sorry. That's if you got if you got max. So, so it's four to hit. I get plus two to my roll or sorry, negative two to the target number because they're unaware of >> totally unaware. Yes, >> but they're still at max. They're still running, aren't they? So, plus two again. >> Unaware running cancel each other out. They're not they're not going to be at full speed coming out of >> SP. If you were shooting this guy, you'd have the problem. But this guy, you'd shoot him as he kind of crests. >> So yeah, just a two to hit. Uh I don't have any firearms back or anything like that back at this point. >> I will just hit on the two. >> Yeah, cuz that's all players need. >> Just a hit. It could have been a critical hit. It would have been worse. >> Uh one location. It's his left leg. left leg >> because I was smart enough to write down the uh damage >> D6 I think can I think I'm not sure >> maybe a D8 >> hand cannon is a D8 and it's >> Oh my gosh thank you Clint Eastwood >> they're wearing bike levers >> uh five >> uh five so he's got one armor from his bike levers so that blows through the right leg all three hit points he goes to injured two right leg injured two. Uh, he has resilience and he has muscle. Oo, okay. Seven with an explosion. He does not um bleed out and suffer immediate blood loss. However, his leg is gone. He spins, collapses to the floor. He can now only take a half movement as he claws himself across the ground. His right leg um is gone. Well, no, it's not dead. It's not destroyed. It's just absolutely a right off. But he's passed his bleed out test, so he's >> I'd like you all to know you didn't hear that. >> You can't hear it outside range zero. >> Yeah. Apart from this biker spiraling through the door, blood bouncing out of his leg. >> Yeah. >> You see his tibia explode. >> Uh that was seven. Six. Five. >> Five. >> You were four. >> Four. Four. Four. Four. Yeah, I was four. I was four first. Yeah, I'll shoot him. The guy at the front. >> You shoot the guy coming through the door. So, he is fast moving, but he is unaware of you. So, those net off. It's a four to hit. >> Sorry, just one thing. This is They moved on three, right? >> Uh yeah, we're about three. That was my um >> That was your helpies. Apologies. >> Yeah, we go we go back to the top again. We haven't got mountain. Apologies, Sakai. That was your held action. >> Yeah. So, we're still >> Yeah. Apologies for threes to apologies. >> One move here. >> It's either another move up or just do something. >> So it is another move up area thing >> increasing your hacking attempt. >> Well, I I he's no longer in sight. So he's not upgraded and he's degraded twice because of the signal jammer. So trying from here is a bit like that. But I will because I'm already in. So at least I get an upgrade. Which one of the two? We should randomize it. >> Uh evens it's the guy at the front. odds. It's the guy at the back who's been shot. >> Odds. >> It's got the back bit shut. >> All right. So, the guy at the back I'll So, let's work it out. It's normally 2d8. >> 2d8. We stepped down twice, which went D8 D4. >> Step down once because of already. >> So, D86. >> Yeah. Yeah. Cuz you're already you're already accessing >> Exploding. >> Okay. He locks off. Let's There's no need to put me through the the pain of your never ending What do you say the bar was >> three? Oh, he's not quite he's not quite to seven line. >> I've got him. >> He's a puppet now. >> He is however either fully paralyzed or fully puppeted. He won't commit suicide. You will be a struggle to get him to kill his mate because they're gang members. Um but yeah, he is he is a puppet. You >> What about throw his gun over the balcony? cow. Uh, your go. You just see the guy locked up >> when he activates >> back to the top of the round seven. >> Yeah, I'm going to shoot the non-locked up guy now in the back. >> Cool. He is fast moving. Um, let me just see uh if he heard his mate scream in pain. I'm going to say probably yes, it's not. Yes, he he has looked round and has, you know, clearly cottoned on that you're in the corner. So, unfortunately, your target number is now six cuz he is fast moving. >> Okay. Um, >> and aware of you. >> Yeah, considering I'm only rolling one dice. Need for six. I'm actually >> around that way to see him. How has he seen him on the other side? >> He's glanced over his shoulder. >> It's fine. I'm going to join the train. Everyone else has gone on. I'm going to burn my ghost whispers. >> Get with the party, baby. Yes, >> Jo. Join in with the crowd. Join with the crowd. All the cool kids are doing it. >> Yeah. Join us. Join us. How many points? Two, three, four. >> I mean, the thing is, so I've only got one dice, so one and two are exceptionally helpful. >> Um, >> so I will roll the d8 with the assumption I'm going to spend at least two to do the roll and upgrade uh before r-rolling. Do I succeed on the first? >> Oh, come on. >> Another explosion. So, it's it's an eight to hit. I >> However, I did declare the ghost whispers. So, um, let's burn those. So, >> yeah. 10 with the reroll. Sorry. Upgrade before reroll, isn't there? So, it's >> I >> Yeah. >> Can I get it? >> No. >> Only a nine. >> If I jump for cover, I'm going to die cuz there's another two huge operatives in the room with guns. >> He is going to attempt his dodge. So, you got to what? To hit eight. Nine. So, I need to get 18 to dodge missile fire. I may explode all the way up. It's worth seeing how it goes. >> Go for it. >> I did get a six on the D6. >> Go on. Go on. Go on. >> I got a three on the D8. Three tries. Uh, he takes the bullet straight into the >> So, D20 location is a 15. So, into the torso. Only for two. >> Only for two. One goes into his armor. This is the other guy. Body one. a small flesh wound uh as he barrels into the room at high pace. Uh 76 5 4 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll shoot him. >> Shoot him. >> Yeah. He's barreling into the room. >> Cool. Here. Reflexes. I got >> Take your mic off. Thank you. >> So it begins. >> Yes. And always amazing. >> They are great. D8s, aren't they? >> Oh, just an eight. >> D10s a lot. >> Yeah, but you have doubled the target number. So, you do automatic max damage on the gun. >> Yeah. >> So, uh what is your gun? D6. >> D6. Yeah. >> So, it automatically is a six and therefore automatically explodes to a D8. >> Cracking. So, we need another eight. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Just the six damage to the D20. 18. Oh, >> just we're spreading it out. We're going to torso again. Yeah. Yeah. That was six damage. Straight to the torso. >> One comes off his armor down to four. Uh which take one, two, takes him to his four hit points. He goes injured one. Uh he does have body and resilience. Yeah. No, because that's when I roll another double one. >> Critically fumbling. You shoot him into the kidney and whilst he does survive the next 30 or so seconds, uh, black blood starts to pour out and poison him and he dies a very unpleasant death as his kidney is shut shot down uh, uh, with a fumble on his resistance roll. Uh, so he is a dead porn and this gentleman is just, you know, they're moo bikers. They're not >> they're not highly trained optive and he's locked up. So, we will we will draw that combat to a close because no one can offer you any more resistance. >> I will definitely walk up the ladder, that's the stairway, sorry, and plug in directly and like I say, you're not going anywhere. You're staying here. >> Yeah. You you you override all the controls and take uh take >> is mine. Resistance >> admin access, so to speak. >> Resistance is futile. >> Both of your fingers into your nose now. >> Um, who are who are you guys? says says Psych. He's backed up a little bit. He know he knows he's got nowhere to go, but he's, you know, he's he's not going to jump. He might jump out the window. Who knows? Depends how much of a lunatic you are. >> Who who who are you buying your weapons off? >> I uh who who am I buying buying them off? There's there's uh and you know, he's he's nervously looking left and right at the whole situation and then just kind of you just see his shoulders slump a bit as he realizes this gig is over. I'm I'm buying him off a there's a a new guy on the streets, Lost Patriot. He's uh he's he's selling So, he's selling guns. Cut price, man. I'm I'm just I'm I'm just a small arms dealer to the gangs, you know. >> Where do you meet him? >> Down by the down by Can I get some kind of deal here? I mean, you clearly you're police or or government or something. Is there going to get some immunity? >> Yeah, absolutely. Can I give you some immunity? Not a problem whatsoever. >> Something we dealing We know people. >> Yeah, you know people. I need to see some kind of documentation at that point, man. I'm not just going to give everything up. >> I'm going to show my old police badge cuz obviously it's not got dates on it. >> That's true. That's true. >> That's fine. That's who we are. Yeah. >> I've got deception if you'd like me to. >> Yeah. Make me a deception. >> These are these are my CIS. >> You know, you're saying this is like an arms sting situation. So, it's presence and deception. >> Kraken. So, we'll go for that two. >> I'll assume you what? No explosion. >> No. Disappointing. >> I'll do the presents as well. >> Still that is to come. >> Five. >> Oh, just a five. >> Just a bad beverage. >> Awareness. He doesn't have insight. Uh, actually, no, he's a street level guy. He deals with lying and deception. He have a dancing inception. My four explode careful >> literally can't make a single roll. >> That's who we are. >> Doubles everyone's stats. Okay. Right. Yeah. So like uh I'm going to record it and then then that's that's the deal. Yeah. The police is making a deal. I get I get community services tops and I just hand over all my weapons and and >> it's like we've got no interest in you. We've got an interest in the lost patriot. >> All right. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> Walk free or all we care. You can walk free. He >> he reaches over and like picks up a half empty can of of some whatever energy drink he's been laying around for for a while. He's just chugs it down. You can clearly see he's is way over his head. I just Yeah. You you got to get me out of this place though. I mean the the the blue eyes they're they're coming for me. I I started to sell both sides of the street and the exchange they're coming for me. Yeah. >> I guess also in the meantime he says that well I was dragging in a body of dead blue eye and the other one the other one is walking like this with me plugged into his back here. >> He's seen street gang violence before. He supplies guns, but seeing someone ghost hacked to that degree, walking in on a broken broken tibia bone. It again, his his shoulders slump and he just turns pale. So yeah, the lost Patriot he turned up about uh 8 days ago, couple of days to to sort out the deal. Um the the docks is is where where where it all goes down. Um just just cheap cheap for the stuff I got. Akoshi 200s out there. I got some of the the larger Magnum hand cannons. There's, you know, we're talking good stuff. Um, and the ammo extended clips. You just can't get that stuff on the street. >> It's a warehouse down there or a boat? >> No, it's delivered. >> He delivers it to >> Yeah, I we went down to the docks to make the deal. Uh, but then the everything just gets gets gets delivered. And, you know, he just he just throws the codes to the doors. They're all sealed, you know, proper uh encrypted combination doors. This is a very serious serum. But he just he just hands over the codes. >> What does he look like? >> I I didn't really get a clear sight. You know, these arms dealers like to try and keep their personal, you know, who they are a bit of a mystery. But um from the accent, uh I'd say maybe uh five 5'4, 5'6, probably mid to late 30s Japanese guy. natural, you know, naturalized Japanese guy, you know, nothing nothing like that. He says, "Looking at Anderson." >> Yeah. >> So, tell us what you set up a meet for us with this guy and we'll get you off the hook. >> Deal, I think, is the word you're looking for. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Deal. Yeah. That's that's that's good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Deal. Deal. Deal. If that's what you need. Yeah. Yeah. You should take me to protective custody. I'll set up the deal. I can act as the >> Come on then, my kid. Come and meet Ba. We We'll make sure you're not found. >> Yeah, but the blue eyes are pissed, man. I started selling to the exchange on both sides of the street. But, you know, the money is too much. >> These two. I mean, were they any problem? No. But our concern cuz you were here, man. I need you. You need to be looking out for >> You'll be looking after. >> You can have a whole new life. You even forget about all of this ever happened literally. >> That'd be great. That'd be great. I thank you. So, yeah. I mean, you guys got to look after me. you know, yeah, I got to I got to pay you out. Uh, and he starts to pick up wads of cats from under the sofa. Just [ __ ] wads and wads of it. Not interest. >> No, just leave it here. Someone will come and collect it. >> When's the deal? So, how long do you set it up? And can you set it up for >> Well, I'd need to set set one up. I mean, I've got plenty of supplies. I got boxes and boxes in there. I'll be selling for weeks and with what I've got there. Let Let's check. Open up the >> doors. Maybe switch off the signal jammer so we can call in the vans or the people that do the cleaning the cleaning personnel to collect. >> Yeah, this section 9 has teams for this. They turn up in in vans and the place is dealt with. Um >> do that. Yeah, >> you go through the first door um into the next door. Uh it's it's nothing so ridiculous as to having like um automated guns to kill you in the corridor. It's just a two-stage door to make it really difficult for you to get in. >> And there are boxes and boxes. Um, you're a mil, you're a military man. They are sprayed here with the serial numbers, the weapon types. These are military containers. Um, metal sealed. You pop them open. There are uh heavy machine guns, SMGs, extended clips, heavy hand cannons uh you'd use for corridor clearing. This is seriously military uh military edge equipment. This stuff should not be readily available unless you have a military contact. Um none of them are Japanese guns. You Japan itself is known for more uh the Fukushima armaments and the armor plating and technology stuff. The actual >> Fujama sorry armaments. They don't they are not massive gun producers. They you know it's it's a city of trade. They buy these things in from other countries. Um, and that is where these things have come from. Uh, >> okay. Well, I think setting up a deal with this lost battery fella is not a bad idea. Okay. And we will bring to a close that as you head to the debriefing. The cleaning team roll in. Um, you recognize a few of the faces. You've probably been through some of the basic training with them. You've practiced how this should work. They come in, you roll out. Uh the bar is shut down as as the um the health and safety suddenly turn up for no reason to do a kitchen and audit and seller inspection as the place is shut down. Everyone's coming down. It's such bad times. >> It is. >> Uh as you head back to headquarters to see BTO and to give a full debrief of the information you've got, you've got a contact. He's ready to squeal, set up a meeting with a lost patriot. Uh, as clearly there is more going on on the streets if this lost patriot is flooding the streets with cheap uh equipment being clearly undersold um with its street value. It is as if they want the streets to be exploding into violence and we will bring uh that uh to a close there with the mystery not solved uh but definitely unopening opening for you. Wow, that was cool. That was cool. Well, guys, I mean, I feel like I want to keep playing, which is was a good sign. I want to finish this. But yeah, not today. Not this time. So, hey, if you like this, give us a, you know, give us a like and uh maybe if the campaign is still on, check out Bucker Kit. But uh yeah, I hope you enjoyed it. We I certainly did. Thank you. >> I love it. What a great story. I am loving where you guys are heading. A proper team dynamic. Brilliant. I I like the kind of we've had interaction, you know, of like kind of violence fighting in one element and there's like in this one, yes, we've got equipment to supplement but other skills. So then we could just, you know, completely use different skill sets as well that we've got for it. >> It's not guns blazing. It's it's >> good balance of characters as well. >> Team dynamic. It's really good. I love it. >> Ying and Yang. >> Team ghost. >> Yes. Team ghost. >> Team breach. Breach. Breach. There you go. That's the campaign's call sign. >> Bridge. Bridge. >> Cool. >> Off. Thanks very much.
