Video summary

The video presents a detailed preview of the upcoming match between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, with the host outlining his predicted starting eleven for Everton while acknowledging the challenging context of Spurs' recent poor form. The speaker emphasizes the need to move past negative narratives regarding Tottenham's lack of wins and goals, instead focusing on Everton's strong start to the season and their determination to secure three points at home. A significant portion of the discussion is dedicated to the goalkeeper position, where Jordan Pickford is selected after receiving a save of the month award against Crystal Palace, though the host notes his recent error against Manchester United and expresses hope for a clean sheet in this fixture. In defense, the selection leans heavily on experience and stability, particularly at right-back where Michael Keane is chosen over Merlin Collier to ensure a solid back four against a tough opponent. The center-back pairing consists of Tarkine and Jarrad Branthwaite, with the host defending Tarkine despite his mistake in the previous game, arguing that his overall contributions outweigh his errors. The speaker also touches on the potential rotation involving Jake O'Brien for the midweek game against Wolves, suggesting that Branthwaite might miss that match, which adds an interesting dynamic to the squad's depth and management decisions under David Moyes. The midfield selection prioritizes a blend of energy and tactical maturity, with Harrison Armstrong starting due to his relentless work rate and passing ability, supported by James Garner for his experience and understanding of when to press or hold position. While Hayden Hackney is praised for his brilliant cameo last week, the host argues that he should come off the bench to provide fresh legs rather than starting, ensuring strong foundations are laid early in the game. This approach allows Garner, who was Everton's player of the year last season, to continue his form while giving Hackney ample opportunities to shine as a substitute later in the match. For the attack, Juju Soto-Graviat is selected despite a poor performance against Preston, with high hopes that he can find his goal-scoring touch again. On the wings, George Elokobi is preferred for his pace and ability to create danger on the right side, while Jack Harrison is chosen over Brennan Johnson and Tyler Dibling for the left flank due to his experience and ball control. The striker role is firmly assigned to Toney, who is eager to prove himself after a dry spell, with Brennan Johnson identified as the likely substitute ready to step in if fatigue sets in during the second half. The video concludes by encouraging viewers to use the Finalysis app to create their own teams and engage with the channel's broader content.

Hello, welcome to Toffee TV. It is the start 11 show. Tottenham Hotspur versus Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Still haven't sorted that out, have they? Um, yeah, just a tough game. Tough game because everyone, every fan will be thinking because Spurs have not won a game and have not scored a goal. Everyone's thinking it, aren't they? But let's let's let's try and get away from that way of thinking and hope Everton can go down there and get a good result and get the three points. We started the season well on the pitch. On the pitch. Um so let's try and continue that. In goal, Jordan Pigford has just been given um awarded sorry the save of the month for a save against Crystal Palace, which is uh good news. Makes big saves. He he let himself down a little bit last week with that goal, the second Man United goal. So, let's hope um he can come away with a a clean sheet from this game. It would be big if he did get a clean sheet at right back. I'm going for Maitland Niles. I just think that again going somewhere like Tottenham, I think we we need a little bit of experience. We need someone who's a little bit steadier. Listen, Merlin roll don't want to get I I I like really like Men Roll. I think he's a he's a ball of energy, but I just think last week um he was shown up a little bit by Rashford's pace and creativity. And I I I like him as a player and I I think he can play right back. I just think that for a game like this, you could look at it both ways. So you could look at it and go, well, he could get that game out of his system by playing, but I think Maz after a week of training um and having done what he did last week, which really had nothing to do with defending, but we want to we'll want to prove want to prove that he's a good player going up against Tottenham as well um will be a big thing for him as well. So I do think having like a proper back four with you know players who who know the position is is really important. So I've gone with him at right back at left back for Tani Maleno who hasn't had a bad start to the season to be honest and I think has helped massively by having Brande next to him. Um and I think having Jack Gish if when Jack Greish is on that side helps as well. So I've So obviously I mean I've just said I'm going for Micheleno like there's anybody else I could have picked but there you go. The two center backs Taki and Jara Brandweight. Now again Brandweight just walks into the team. There's no issue. He'd be like him and pick for like the first two names on the team sheet. Taki I still this you know I think he made a mistake for the second goal. I've mentioned that a few times this week but I think generally he's done well and I think I think in every game he has had a mistake in him but then when you look at the mistakes against what he does well I think what he does well outweighs it. Um if he continues to make mistakes then the manager will have a decision to to make. I don't think we're at that point yet. Um be interesting on Wednesday actually to see who David Moyes picks for that game against Wolves. Uh and where where Jake actually sits at the moment cuz obviously he didn't start the game against Preston but there was a lot going on at the time with Jake O'Brien. So [snorts] it will be interesting to see what he does on Wednesday night where he goes for like a complete swap and takes both of them out. I I can see Brandway missing that game. Um, so yeah, it's good. But for this game, I'm going for the I'm going for they're my that's my center backs and that's my back four. Inter midfield. Harrison Armstrong starts for me. Now I could see a world actually with Harrison Armstrong doesn't start this game because I think a lot of people are looking at and going it's either James Garner or Hayden Hackne but I could see the manager leaving Harrison Armstrong out because it's It's an easier decision to for him to make, but I'm going for Harrison Armstrong. I just think he's a I think he needs to play as much as he can for me. Um I think he's got energy for days. Gets up and down the pitch. He's got a good He's got a clever passer of the ball as well. Um, and I think there's learning all the time and could be just huge for Everton's future and and I think a lot of other people feel like that and that's why there's so much uproar obviously about what happened two weeks ago. So he starts for me and alongside him I'm going to go for James Garner. Um, I think we need that little bit of experience in midfield. someone who understands when it's time to sit and someone who knows when it's time to go forward and is a good passer of the ball. I think hey Harky last week when he came on was brilliant but that's no reason to just put him straight back in the team put him into the team because we'll need someone to come off the bench and be brilliant in this game as well and I think you're more likely to get more out of Hayden Hackne off the bench than you are off maybe say a James Ger or a Harrison Armstrong. I think you've got to start with strong foundations. And I know Garner went off last week, but he he didn't go off injured. He went off with cramp. And if he'd gone off two minutes before, no one would have even have looked at that. They would have just gone, "Oh yeah, Ghana's coming back in coming back and needs games and stuff." So for me, it's James Garner starting this game and give us the foundation. Um, and then that allows Hayden Hackne to come on. Haknne will get lots of opportunities this season. Of course you will with the size of squad. There's no there's no point just just cuz he's had a really good 20-minute cameo just deciding oh well he needs to start the games. James Garner was our play of the year last season. Let's not forget that. I' I've heard a couple of things this week where people are just so eager to like change things up really quickly and I think sometimes you've got to settle down. There's so much going on at this football club and we've got new players about the squad. You do need continuity and James Garner was our best player last season and you people shouldn't forget that. So it's right that he plays. So they're my two and in front of them obviously Keenan Juju Hall who was it was poor last week by his own standards by his own really big standards. So he starts and hopefully he's got a goal in him in this game. Hopefully does well. On [snorts] the right hand side I'm going to go for George. I think the way he finished the game on that side obviously getting a goal um was fantastic. Really impressive. He's a massive danger to the opposition when he's on the ball. He's got good pace and I'm I'm looking forward to seeing him, you know, play every single game basically because I think that's how good he is. And for all the talk of what went wrong in the window, bringing T George in sometime it is those sliding doors moments. Jack ear gets injured and we bring this kid on alone. He didn't play loads, but we he' done enough for us to keep him. And now it looks like we've got a steal for like less than 20 million. Sliding doors, you know, and now he's fighting it out with Jack Reish and and others to start the games. So, I think that's a that's a really big moment for us, I think. And I think he is the one real positive out of the summer. On the other side, I'm gonna go for Jack Gish. I just think that his experience and his nouse on the ball is so important. Um, and when I look at the other two, I just don't think I think Brennan Johnson, we have to learn how to use him, but I also think if he's going to be the backup striker, we have to hold them back a little bit. And I think this will be a game where we'll be playing Barry in a particular way and I think he will get tired and therefore we will need that sub. And I think Brennan Johnson's that sub and Tyler Dibble who hasn't kicked the ball in the Premier League this season, he's not going to be starting the game, let's be honest, and has done nothing to show that he should be starting the game. So for me it's Jack Gish and I I don't think he has to be like absolutely tip-top fit. And Jack seems to be one of those people who can get fit really quickly. He seems to just jump in and with with with both feet. Um and obviously it's Tion Bar front as I mentioned. Um so you know and he's let's hope he gets a goal. Let's hope he gets back in the goals. Obviously he hasn't scored the last couple of games. Let's hope he gets back in the goals. um because he's very very eager to prove himself and I think he's quite happy that he's the only striker really. So [snorts] it's up to him. These are the games getting those crucial goals to get Everton a result. So that's my 11.
