Video summary

The video documents a fan's journey from Warrington Bank to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a Premier League match against Everton, highlighting both the logistical challenges and the excitement of the day. The vlogger begins by noting the convenience of parking near the train station despite the rain, though they acknowledge that trains from their location often run late. After arriving at London Euston and transferring to the Victoria line, there is a brief delay, but the group eventually reaches Seven Sisters station with enough time to visit the British Museum before heading to White Hart Lane. The journey to the stadium is described as painless, placing them in the away section of what the narrator considers one of the finest stadiums in the league, setting the stage for a match against a team they believe has strong potential but struggled with ball retention earlier in the season. Inside the stadium, the atmosphere is lively, and the commentary shifts to an analysis of the first half, which was characterized by a slow start and nervous energy from the visiting side. The narrator observes that while Everton dominated possession, likely holding over sixty percent of the ball, their attacking threat was minimal, resulting in low expected goals (xG) for both teams. Key players like Brennan Johnson were noted as being ineffective, particularly in the second half, while defenders like Anthony Mlinar performed well until they were substituted. The vlogger points out that the home team gave away too many unforced errors and easily returned possession to Everton, though the visitors failed to capitalize on these opportunities, leading to a frustratingly low-scoring affair where even a single goal could have decided the game. As the match concludes in a 0-0 draw, the focus immediately turns to the race against time to catch the last train back to Warrington, which departs exactly one hour after the final whistle. The post-match journey is described as hot and sweaty due to the summer weather and crowded conditions on the tube and overland trains, but the group successfully makes it onto the platform at Seven Sisters just in time. Once aboard the train home, the vlogger reflects on the game, expressing satisfaction with securing a clean sheet and three points during a crucial period before the international break. They acknowledge that while the performance was uninspiring and lacked creativity, avoiding defeat is a significant achievement given the squad's numerical disadvantages and upcoming challenges against Ipswich Town. In conclusion, the video ends on a cautiously optimistic note as the fans head home around 11:00 PM, ready to push forward into the next phase of the season. The narrator emphasizes that while they missed out on six points from two games, securing four points is still a tremendous result that keeps their league position at seventh place stable. Looking ahead, the team faces the international break with a depleted squad but hopes that the players will continue to pull together as one unit. The vlogger closes by expressing happiness with the current standing and confidence that they can beat Ipswich Town next week, especially after progressing in the Carabao Cup, urging everyone to keep supporting the Blues despite the difficulties of the day.

Right, good morning. It's 9:49 and we're [clears throat] just uh getting in the car for a 10 or 15 minute drive. No, not that long, is it? Maybe 5 to 10 minute drive to uh Warrington Bank Key. Um so where we can catch a train to Houston and head off to Tottenham. So let's hope it all turns out well. Take care. Bye-bye. Okay, so we've got the station. Uh, first good news is I'm parking all day on a Saturday and Sunday at Warrington Bank is only three quid and we're parked right close to the station which is good because it's raining and um the second bit of good news is trainers on time and hopefully it will remain on time and we'll get into London Houston quite early. Well, I have to say generally speaking from Warrington Bank, the trains may arrive a little bit late as a matter of routine. But as the next stop is London Houston, it'll arrive early. >> Platform number two, short 1024 West Coast service to London Houston. This service is calling at London I got my uh wallet, my ticket on my wallet ready then and then looked again. Thank God when we got to Brussels to go fing around sealed back and uh examining it and our phone was in Washington. >> Yeah. >> And the train was the plane was a message night before. So we changed all the arrangements to get there. >> Yeah. >> Woke up in the morning. It was still 10. >> So we the coming at 10 really where we reach our destination. Like please make sure we take all their belongings with them. We'll sign the gap between the train and the platform leaving the service on behalf of the honorable team. Enjoy the journey and thank you for traveling with a Bart train. >> It's very strange. >> Well, we've arrived now. The train was late after me saying before we set off that was arrived on time. It's about half 12. Kickoff is over 5 hours yet. And uh therefore, we've got some time to kill. So, we'll go some to eat. We'll address my wife's um what is it? Obsession with the British Museum. We go there probably in the uh the members lounge for a coffee or something and then head out to Whiteart Lane. Our small challenge coming back is just over an hour after the game is scheduled to finish, our last train goes. So, uh hopefully hopefully we won't be back here again all night and that we do catch the half past 8 train home this evening. Thank goodness. call that cheap We're not ready. We're on the uh hotel seven sisters where we intend to change and then get the overland to White Heart Lane. Um all is good. We've had a nice morning, a nice lunch and an hour or so in the British Museum. So we're ready for the game now. We go the right way. That way. Follow the Tottenham fans. E. He told me that you order. Oops. The station is here. And this station when we uh get on the train, it's 5 minutes to White Heart Lane, which is the station is literally adjacent to the Tottenham stadium. So, we'll be there soon. Right. So here we are outside this magnificent Tottenham Stadium. Um we had quite an easy journey actually from when we got back onto the Victoria line at Houston and uh well I don't know what 15 20 minute tube ride to seven sisters. Waited 5 minutes through Overland train to White Hart Lane station just over there. Literally a few hundred yards from this stadium. Uh we're going in gate 11 which is the away end which is down there somewhere. and it's all been quite painless. Um, the problem we're going to have, I think, after the game is around an hour after the game finishes, the last train back to Warrington, which is where we we need to go, uh, leaves an hour after the game finishes. And although we've just done that journey in around 30 to 35 minutes, it may be a little bit longer after the game. So, I I'll speak to you later and we're going to see how we do it. Um but meanwhile the only thing between now and that it's a football match on your blues. You need a picture and take a photo. Hello. So, here we are. We're inside the stadium now. As you can see, it's well, you can see the South Down there. It's magnificent stadium. As I said, outside probably Well, it is, isn't it? The best in the Premier League. It's the only one we are second to. And of course, that is the largest home end in the Premier League. And we have the second largest home in the Premier League. So, all is good. Um, we're in the bleachers here. I think we're going to be in the sun throughout the game. Um, we know what the team is. Probably the team most of us would have picked, although Greish hasn't started, which again, uh, makes it quite fun that when he comes on and hopefully to, uh, finish the game off for us and, uh, see how it goes. Take care. Bye-bye. I'll take it. Got it. even Heat. Heat. Good Hold on. Bit longer than normal. Heat. Nice. Okay. Z's going to go, isn't it? [music] Hello. [music] Let's double Thank you. [music] >> [applause] >> to the heart. >> [applause] >> You see everyone? Let's run through our starting 11 led by Roberto So in going for person one number 14 number six [applause] number Eddie number 13 number 16 [applause] number 18 number 22 on the loose Well, that was an interesting first half, wasn't it? Um, really slow start from us. They were very keen. Uh, quite active pushing down our left. Savio, the artist, formerly known as Sabino, looked lively on the wall. And of course, Archie Gray, is it Archie? But Gray anyway, he um was certainly having a go at our left hand side. So, we rode that out as as the game went on. I think the first 15 20 minutes it was a bit anxious, nervous, those sorts of things and we've slowly I think maybe very slowly got back into this game. Um good last minute shot from Garner but what the keeper would always expect to save and earlier on in the half I think the xG for both sides must be awful. I mean you know the number of shots on target is probably quite low. would imagine they've had I've not looked at the stats, but I would imagine they've had 60 70% of possession, but I mean it's just one of those games where one goal might be enough. We got some guys to come off the bench. Gish should come on no doubt after about an hour or something. I think Brennan Johnson's being anonymous. So, he needs to do a bit more. Don't know what it looks like on TV. And of course, Barry is having one of those days where he's isolated and he's not, you know, particularly good back to goal and the like. Um but our ball retention and the turnovers that we give from all errors is just too many and too easy for them. From their top perspective, I really can see why they're having issues at the moment. They're trying to stick to a deserving game, I guess, with high press, quick attempt to get the ball back. And I think as I said, Sabino's looked okay, but I can't say that any of them beyond that have gave me cause for concern. So, let's see how the managers debate this at halftime in their respective dressing rooms. And we'll be we'll be kicking towards our end in the second half. And I just think if we can take out the unforced errors and create something, we can score. And if we score, I think we might very well win. Uh time will tell. Let's see what happens. Well, we're queuing up outside White Heart Lane today. Having left the second for went take us about 11 12 minutes to get here. And now we need to get on this train here at White Heart Lane and get to Seven Sisters to jump off the Victoria line. And we've got to do all that in less than an hour. It's possible to do it in 35 minutes or so. if it takes us an hour. We miss the last train over. So, wish us luck. So, we're on the platform now at um White Heart Lane station. And I must say, the people doing the organizing here are very good. They talk very fast. There's a lot of scouts. Imagine us saying that. Um, but uh if we get this train, we've got a really, really good chance of catching the last train home. So, let's see how that goes. Well, hot and bothered. Very, very sweaty. We're being crowded in like people tube train, but we are on the platform at seven at seven sisters. And uh I think it's pretty damn certain now, fingers crossed and all that that we will indeed cast the last straight north. So uh wish we've won. Should have won a couple of guilt head chances there, but I'll talk about my thought again later. Take care. Is it by magic? >> Yes. >> Well, as you can see, we are on the train, which is the good news. Uh, bit hot and bothered. I think I'm a bit uh sticky, so I'm going to have to get myself a beer uh as soon as soon as the shop opens. I think uh train is due to leave at 2031. It is 2030. I think we got on the train probably 8 or nine minutes shortly due to depart. It's been on about 5 minutes uh half pretty much the whole goddamn train seems to be reserved. Lots of people appear to be going to Lisfield. So, we've uh found ourselves some spare seats, which is good. And if we have to flag it with the train manager, we will. Let's see what happens. Um, train's going to take about 2 hours to get home, so we'll be home in our house probably for 11:00 hopefully. Um, the game itself was pretty uninspiring. It's been a long day for us. Um, but the game itself, how they got ball retention, you know this people, if you watched it, the ball retention was non-existent. John Pigford's distribution was awful. kept giving them the ball back as soon as we, you know, we got a throw in, we gave it to them. We've got a free kick, we gave it to them. If we got the ball, we gave it to them and thankfully >> they did very little with it. I have no idea what the stats are, but I'm guessing their xG wasn't particularly good. Um, they got some good players there, but they're not playing, are they, as a team? They had lots of possession. I don't know what they had. Again, not looked at the stats yet, but I'm guessing they had 60 plus% possession. probably had more shots, but I suspect we had higher xG. Um, I think we had two really good chances. They had a good block. I'm not sure live who it was. Was it Jube Hall, I think, but I know full well who the glaring miss was. That was Brennan Johnson in his last action of the game. Um, I think words out on Tyreek George. So, they doubled up a lot on him. So, it wasn't a surprise when he come off cuz he wasn't particularly effective in the second half. and and all the guys um had heart stuck in me defended res resolutely is that the right word um and um we just take the draw would we really keep will be happy with a clean sheet they've had four games without a goal so they've got challenges and I think if you bracket these games [music] before the international rate particularly I think we' have took four points I think we talked on top of TV mess about four points from the two games we were good um maybe even Six will be tremendous. We're not going to get six now, but we can still get four. >> So, it makes the the British game pretty important. They've had a good result today, I think. Again, not totally up to speed or test >> and we'll be over at 11:00. And I very much doubt we're going to be watching the match of the day cuz um that was a game to >> to go get away, don't lose, which we've achieved, and push on to the next game. Oh, my my good lady is telling me what the league table looks like, which is good. Seventh. Not not bad, eh? Um, where's the results on this? Uh, scores and results. Come on. Signal's gone cuz we're coming out of Houston, I think, is it? Oh, no. There you go. Uh, IPS switch. What happened to Ipswich? Oh, they won. 3-2 away. I knew they were leading, but I thought they'd be pegged back, but maybe not. Anyway, that's a good result for them. Um most of the promoted team in fact all three promoter teams um C haven't played yet have they I don't think um commentary obviously struggling but the other two are doing quite well and of course Hull um they've had another good result today Chelsea albeit perhaps they they hope they would have won but anyway for us I'm reasonably happy where we're at and as long as we beat us next week all will be good going into the international break on a quite thin squad and Maybe David Moyes will uh revel in the fact that we got our backs to the wall numerically that the players are all pulling together. Oh, sorry. Um Anthony Mlin Niles, I thought he played really well till he went off. I think it was, you know, really cool to um have a a fullback who knew what to do and he's obviously got some technical skills as well, which is really good. Oh, my my my good lady is a a big fan of Michelenko, so she's telling me that he had a good game as well. And defensively, I think he did. Um, I'm not going to go through all the players. You know, it was a difficult day. I think Tenno Barry had a hard time up front on his top on on his Todd. Um, but listen, we got a draw. That'll do for now. Our heads won't fall off. Um, if that's going to happen, it will be a defeat by Ipsswitch that will cause that. So, let's not do that. Let's turn up next week um and uh beat them at home having already got through to the next round of the Carabal Cup. So take care everyone. Um and uh come on you blues.
