Toffees Namechecked In Marcus Rashford Transfer Race.. | Everton News Daily
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
Former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi has reignited speculation that Marcus Rashford could make a move to Everton this summer, suggesting he would fit well into the Toffees' system. Rossi notes that while Rashford had a successful season at Barcelona last year with 14 goals in 49 appearances, his form has dipped since returning to the Premier League and signing a new contract with United. With less than a year remaining on his Old Trafford deal and the club seemingly indifferent to his future, there is a possibility that United might accept a reduced wage offer or seek to offload him entirely. Although Rossi doubts the likelihood of such a transfer happening, he highlights Rashford's talent and potential to provide excellent value for Everton as they look to strengthen their squad.
In addition to the Rashford rumors, the video discusses several other players linked with moves involving Everton and other Premier League clubs. One notable name is Dario Osorio, a 22-year-old Chilean winger from FC Midtjylland who has been scouted by multiple top teams including Liverpool. Osorio has made 117 appearances for Midtjylland, scoring 23 goals and providing 18 assists, with the club valuing him at around 20 million euros. Another prospect mentioned is Assan Ceesay, a powerful winger currently on Everton's provisional list according to Italian sources. Ceesay has shown great potential since joining Como from Real Betis, though he has faced some injury issues recently; his quickness and strength make him an exciting option for clubs looking to add width to their attacks.
The transfer market activity also extends to the midfield, where Ipswich Town is reportedly interested in signing Everton's Tom Earebunam. The midfielder had initially been set to join Hull City but suffered a pre-season injury that delayed the move; however, he is expected to recover within the next week or so before the transfer window closes. With Everton having strengthened their midfield through the additions of Hayden Hackney and Christian Norgaard, Earebunam's position in the pecking order has diminished, especially with less than a year left on his contract. This situation could present an opportunity for Everton to recoup significant funds by selling him to either Ipswich or Hull City, allowing them to reinvest the money into other areas of need.
Looking ahead, manager David Moyes is preparing for the upcoming Premier League season, which kicks off with a match against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Fans are eager to hear from Moyes during his pre-match press conference tomorrow, where he will likely address various questions regarding team news and tactics after only sharing snippets of information during recent media days. While some high-profile figures like B may not be present at the event, the manager's responses to local journalists and fans could provide valuable insights into the team's preparations. As Everton aims to compete effectively in the league, the combination of new signings, potential transfers, and Moyes' leadership will be crucial as they face their first challenges of the season.

Marcus Rashford should join Everton or
Spurs.
This summer, that's according to former
Manchester United striker and Villa Real
striker
Giuseppe Rossi. He had been talking
about Rashford. He obviously was at
Barcelona last season, Marcus Rashford,
but they've not took the option up to
keep him. He is on big wages.
And I think this is probably sort of in
relation to whether Jack Grealish should
come back or not, but he was talking
about the ability Rashford's got saying
that he'd really fit in at a club like
Everton who they play him and sort of
get behind him.
Um he's got obviously less than a year
left at Old Trafford.
United don't seem to be that bothered by
him. He was in their squad. He has been
in the squad.
I don't know whether Michael Carrick
what would you do with that. I think
United are probably either want him
fully off the books
this summer or at least two thirds of
his wages off the books this summer.
Who knows? Last season at Barca 49
appearances and 14 goals for Rashford.
He's hugely talented. Did score at the
World Cup for England as well.
Just hasn't
it just hasn't happened for him for the
last few year I mean he was good last
year at Barca, you know, fair enough but
in the Premier League. He had an amazing
season for Manchester United. I think he
got 22 goals or something and they gave
him a big new contract and then the next
season it just didn't really happen. And
since then it's just got worse. He he
spent some time on loan at Aston Villa
and that didn't really work out either.
So I think he's an excellent footballer.
If you got a good version of him, I
think
he could be tremendous for Everton. I
don't know if this is even a
possibility. I doubt it. But Giuseppe
Rossi talked about it. He's name checked
Everton and so therefore I thought we'd
discuss it. Just get people talking. Why
not? Why not? But would he be a good
signing for Everton notice it is that
just gone and he sort of diminishing
returns. Was a brilliant footballer.
Still is I think.
I think he I actually think he's better
through the middle as a striker but
I know he has been playing sort of off
the left and England have used him there
as well but
it was an interesting interesting one to
think about. Another name linked to
Everton today is FC Midtjylland Chilean
winger Dario Osorio. He is reportedly
being watched on numerous occasions by
Everton, Liverpool and a few other
Premier League clubs. You do know
Everton have watched Midtjylland a few
times because they've watched his
teammate Franculino as well.
And since joining Midtjylland Osorio has
played 117 times, got 23 goals and 18
assists. From a wide area he is only 22
years of age, very talented
footballer. Like I said, you know, a
number of Premier League teams including
Liverpool have have cast an eye over
them. Midtjylland have thought of value
around 20 million euros which works out
about 17.1 million pounds so
another name, another day, another name.
Yeah, but he's a good player, a good
player. And further on to that another
winger who Everton have been linked with
today but they've been linked with a few
times the last few days is
Assan Ceesay who is on Everton's
provisional list. This is according to
sources in Italy.
Should they not be able to strike a deal
with Manchester City for Jack Grealish
or should Elanga depart the club. Ceesay
has played 35 times for Como and scored
10 goals. He did suffer a few injuries
last season. Was in electric form when
he first joined them from Real Betis.
Only 20 though, 6'1, powerful, really
exciting player, loads of potential.
He's definitely one that Everton should
be keeping an eye on.
And could Everton get him?
Certainly if Allan and James went, he
would be an interesting player for
Everton to bring in. Quick and strong
and knows where the net is.
But yeah, that's doing the rounds in
Italy saying contacts already been made.
And Everton are just keeping keeping
their eye on that situation with their
with Jao Felix, we'll see. And finally,
Ipswich are reportedly ready to move for
Everton midfielder Tom Earebunam.
Earebunam had looked set to join Hull
City, but did get injured in pre-season.
I think it was the game in Germany in
Stuttgart, wasn't it? He got an injury.
And hadn't recovered when Hull were
trying to get the deal done. But he is
expected to be back in the next sort of
7 to 10 days, which is before the window
shuts. So the injury not as bad as what
they thought it could have been.
And Ipswich are reportedly looking to
add him to their squad. That obviously
won't rule out Hull City out there being
buying
And still plan to buy another six, I
think they said, as they try to get
their squad on a a level to compete in
the Premier League.
So maybe if they haven't filled that
position they had for Earebunam, maybe
they come back in for Tom Earebunam
before the window shuts. The latter has
only got something like 10 months left
now, isn't he?
10 and 1/2 months left on his Everton
contract, so Everton,
you know, very very strong competition
in the middle of the park now with the
the additions of Hayden Hackney and
obviously Christian Norgaard. Harrison
Arsmstrong's been excellent pre-season
as well. So it feels like Earebunam's
dropped right down the pecking order and
with only having
less than a year left on the contract,
it it we can't afford to let players
like this walk out the door for nothing.
So if Everton were to get
I think Hull was 15 million plus
add-ons. If [clears throat] Everton
could get something like that for him,
they're going to take it cuz that goes
right back into the pot for maybe bits
that everyone want to do, so
one to look out for there. Um
David Moyes is back with his pre-match
press conference tomorrow as the Premier
League begins at the weekend. It's going
to be interesting to hear from the
Everton manager. We've only heard little
bits. Sky obviously had their media day
the other day and that there's bits have
come out obviously what he said, but
tomorrow will be the first in a press
conference facing questions from
different people, so I'm sure there'll
be some interesting questions. He'll
probably bat
fans fist off away, but hopefully will
be asked by the people in the room.
Sadly B won't be there. Um so I'm
interested to see what his answers are
ahead of obviously Everton Crystal
Palace in the Premier League on
Saturday. That's it for the news daily.
