To Laugh Or To Cry? Bad News From Sweden

Video summary

The video presents a mixed analysis of the recent Swedish election results, characterized by what the speaker terms "bad news" and "good news." The primary bad news is that the Sweden Democrats have lost support for the first time in their history, dropping from 20.5% of the vote in 2022 to an estimated 17.8%. Despite this decline, the speaker argues that the party achieved significant "real political" success over the last four years by forcing reluctant traditional allies—the Moderates, Liberals, and Christian Democrats—to implement policies that improved Sweden. However, the speaker contends that these gains were insufficient because the party failed to stop the influx of third-world immigration, which ultimately secured a majority for left-wing parties if current alliances hold. The good news offered is the possibility that the historic Center Party might switch to a right-wing coalition, potentially preventing a socialist government from taking power. A central theme of the critique is the failure of the Sweden Democrats' messaging and their deviation from core principles regarding immigration and citizenship. The speaker argues that while the party was more open about "remigration" and Swedish identity in 2022, they have since adopted confusing concepts like "open Swedishness," which the author finds nonsensical and unappealing. According to the transcript, the party's allies continued to grant citizenships to non-Europeans despite warnings that these individuals would vote for left-wing parties, a strategy the speaker views as a scam. By the time of this video in autumn 2026, citizenship grants have been restricted mostly to other Europeans and Nordics, but the speaker believes it is "too little, too late" because the party lost the election due to this inconsistency. The author insists that the party must redefine its identity around a clear Swedish ethnicity and majority status rather than trying to appease voters with vague inclusivity. The speaker concludes by urging the Sweden Democrats to abandon passive conservatism and outdated aesthetics in favor of a powerful, forward-looking vision for Sweden. He criticizes the party for lacking "thumos" or aggression, describing their current approach as melancholy and unattractive compared to the desired image of Vikings, palaces, and genius. The core message is that the party's reason for existence is to ensure Sweden remains Swedish by repatriating nearly a million people who do not fit into Swedish society; failing to make this a top priority renders them merely a pale copy of the Moderates. While expressing compassion for the party members who have worked hard, the speaker demands they stand firm in their beliefs regarding remigration rather than trying to please individuals who do not genuinely support their cause. Ultimately, the video ends with a call for the party to analyze its shortcomings and a note that further updates on the final vote counts will be provided in upcoming podcast episodes.

All right. Should I laugh or should I cry? I don't know. I haven't decided yet. Anyway, we have some good news and some bad news. I will leave the good news to last. I will get on to the bad news so I get it over with. The Sweden Democrats, they are losing support for the first time ever. So, the votes, they aren't all counted yet. So, this is just my, you know, initial analysis. So, it looks like they will receive 17.8 8% of the votes and in the latest election 2022 they got um 20.5% of the votes. So actually they have lost support. Now this is hilarious and tragic in so many ways. Now I will say the following that the Sweden Democrats they did good in terms of real politic. They made Sweden better over this last four years. It's just how it is. Sweden is better now than it was four years ago. They forced three very reluctant and stubborn and stupid supposed allies, the Christ Democrats, the Liberals, the moderates. They forced them to make Sweden a bit better. So despite only having 20.5% of the votes, they made Sweden better. Is it good enough? No, absolutely not. It's not good enough. But fact of the matter is that they made political changes for the benefit of the Swedish people. So when I say that the moderates are now the second largest party that the moderates they gained in support and the Sweden Democrats lost in support not really fair but such is life such as politics. It's not a fair game in the list. Now I will also say because I want to criticize I want to critique the Sweden Democrats of course. I have a few things to say that yes they did well in the real political arena. But the great irony here as well is that why did the right lose here? Again, all of the votes are not counted. And there is the possibility, and this is the good news, by the way, that the center party, a venerable old countryside party. They might switch to the right, the right-wing coalition. So, we might actually avoid a socialist government, which is, you know, would be absolutely amazing if we can avoid that. So, those are the good news. But anyway, as it looks right now, if the old alliances hold, then the left-wing side, they are in a majority. And why is that? Yes, because of third world immigration. So if you only look at the non-white vote, yeah, the uh the um the reds are in um in the lid, unfortunately. So what happened? Yes. The following happened, and this is the great irony. The Sweden Democrats, they said, "We don't want to give out any more citizenships." The um supposed allies, the liberals, Christ democrats and moderates, they still wanted to give out citizenships. And anyone with you know a modicum of intelligence will understand that if you give out citizenships to uh people from the third world they will vote for left-wing parties. That is the whole scam. But anyway the uh supposed allies of the Sweden Democrats they didn't listen. They didn't want to you know limit the amount of citizenships being given out. It's only now as I make this video in, you know, autumn 2026, now we've gotten to the stage where citizenships aren't really being given out anymore, unless to other Europeans and especially uh from the Nordic countries. So now the changes have been implemented. But too little, too late, now they lost the election. And so I'm just thinking like should anyone be punished, it should be the other right-wing parties, not the Sweden Democrats. Now that being said, I also want to aim some critique against the Sweden Democrats because they have been very bad with their messaging. Good Real Politically speaking, bad when it comes to their rhetoric. So back in 2022, they were more open about remigration. Authanding target, the remigration train, they were more open about Swedish identity. And now, as of late, you know, I still respect and admire Himokon. He's been taking a lot of heat for a very long time. He's been putting in a lot of hard work over all of these years. So, I'm not going to, you know, he probably doesn't feel too good now. So, I'm not going to be overly critical, but I still want to say it. And if you want to have a discussion, I'm not going to say a debate, but a discussion, a conversation. Let's do it at Ricks or something. We can talk about this concept of open Swedishness because when you say stuff like that, it's just it's a weird odd. I will try to be polite. Had I not been polite, I would have said an insane concept. Open Swedishness. It doesn't appeal to anyone. It's just an odd thing to say. It's just a strange thing that doesn't make sense that you can become Swedish. No, you cannot become Swedish. You can become a valued member of society. But when you start to engage in this really [sighs and gasps] again just weird crazy theories, it doesn't appeal to anyone. When you have this well assimilated immigrants that will vote for you, they will do so because they don't want to live in the third world. They want you to repatriate people who can't behave, simply put. So being Swedish or not, that's not a selling point. It's just an old thing to say. So please just skip that. Skip that for the future. Please redefine your definition. Just say that there is a Swedish ethnicity. Swed should of course be the majority in Sweden. This is our land. This is our story. If anyone wants to come here to contribute to that story, fine. If they don't, they need to live. And you need to be clear about that because now I haven't really heard anything about mass remigration. And also I'm going to try to be as polite as possible here, but if you are a white man, if you are a European man, and if you're not for remigration, there's something wrong in your head. You are insane. Very simple stuff. It's 2026. The game is up. We know what is going on. There's a great replacement. Don't be afraid to say it. Don't be afraid to say that I take the side of the Sweds instead of these insane concepts such as open Swedishness that appeals to absolutely no one. So you need to be firm with remigration. Otherwise you're just a pale copy of the moderates. Then why would anyone vote for you? You need to be firmer. And also speaking of aesthetics and messaging, you need to live behind this dusty old conservatism. You need to leave behind this parochial small quaint aesthetics of a cottage in the countryside. We want a palace in the countryside. We want Jos Grippen. We want Carolans. We want Vikings. We want power. We want genius. We want a Sweden that is going forward, not backwards. We don't want to return to the 50s. We want to go into the future with a Swedish Sweden that is powerful and on top. You need to have some thumos, some aggression, not this passive melancholy. it's not attractive. So, think about the aesthetics. Now, I am a patient man. I know that you have been working hard. That's why I'm very generous here and compassionate that I don't want to blame things on you and blaming your supposed allies for giving out all of their citizenships. But also, everyone in the Sweden Democrats, you need to understand that your reason of being is that the Swedish people, we want remigration. We don't want to be replaced in our own countries. We don't want all of these bad areas. So we need to repatriate almost a million people and you need to be clear about that. So you can absolutely not say that this is not the top of your priorities because if it's not a top priority and if you signal that you're happy with your uh the work you've done now I understand I personally understand because I know many of you you have been working hard but you cannot communicate it to voters that you're happy because then they might think aha you're happy but we still have almost a million people here who aren't a good fit for Swedish society. So you need to be clear to say that our aim is to make Sweden Swedish again and that includes deporting repatriating many people. I understand also it will take a long time. It's not going to go over four years but there still needs to be a clear vision of it at least so people know aha if I support this party this is the end goal the Sweden will become majority Swedish again. So very simple stuff indeed. So anyway, hopefully the Sweden Democrats, they can have um hard look in the mirror and uh you know, analyze their shortcomings. And I would say like don't try to appease the middle. Stand firm in your beliefs. Don't try to appease these individuals because they don't really like you to be honest. So anyway, the good news again is that the socialists, it looks like they might actually be kept out of power should the center party uh do the right thing and form a coalition. Then we'll see how much influence the Swan Democrats they will get. We will see. Anyway, I will update you. I'll make a podcast episode later this week. So do subscribe. If you're watching this on YouTube, which I suppose the majority of you are, you can become a channel member. Otherwise, you can go to Spotify or Substack and you can sign up there and I will discuss everything in depth and then we'll know all of the results as well. So, I'm recording this on a Monday and on Wednesday it looks like all of the votes are uh counted.
