Video summary

The video captures a lively reaction to the third installment of the *Rush Hour* franchise, focusing on the dynamic between Detective James Carter and his partner Lee Lo. The hosts express their hope that the series concludes on a high note while highlighting the film's signature blend of action and comedy. A significant portion of the discussion revolves around the absurdity of the plot, particularly the introduction of a massive, steroid-enhanced martial artist who serves as a comedic obstacle for the protagonists. The reactors find humor in the escalating chaos, from Carter getting handcuffed to women and stealing their car, to the various misunderstandings involving Isabella, Lee's ex-girlfriend, whose injury is treated with a mix of concern and dark comedy regarding her droopy eye. The narrative summary provided by the reactors details the central conflict involving the Triad organization and their secret list known as "Shyishin." The plot thickens when the Chinese ambassador is shot, prompting Carter to take responsibility for his safety while Lee investigates the conspiracy. A major twist revealed during the reaction is that Shyishin is not a person but a woman carrying the names of the Triad leaders tattooed on her back; she is eventually revealed to be a man in disguise wearing a wig. The hosts appreciate how this subverts expectations and adds another layer to the film's intricate, albeit chaotic, storyline involving international espionage, French police incompetence, and a race against time to stop the villain Kenji from claiming his title as the new Dragon Head. The climax of the movie is described as a spectacular and dangerous stunt sequence set atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The reactors are particularly amused by Lee's daring escape attempts, which involve scaling walls, using zip lines, and ultimately falling into the fountain below after a rope snaps under his weight. The scene is portrayed as a mix of genuine tension and slapstick humor, with Lee narrowly avoiding death multiple times before finally confronting Kenji in a rooftop fight that ends with both villains plummeting to their deaths via parachute. The hosts praise Jackie Chan's physical comedy and ability to perform dangerous stunts himself, noting how his presence elevates the action sequences far beyond typical Hollywood standards. In conclusion, the video serves as both a movie review and a nostalgic look back at early 2000s action-comedies that have largely disappeared from modern streaming platforms due to copyright issues. The reactors express a deep affection for the *Rush Hour* trilogy, specifically favoring the second film for its peak chemistry between the leads, though they acknowledge all three entries as essential viewing. They discuss their desire to watch more films from that era and lament the current difficulty of accessing older movies online. The session ends with the hosts encouraging viewers to engage in the comments, subscribe for future reactions, and appreciate the unique flavor of these classic buddy-cop adventures that successfully balanced high-stakes action with laugh-out-loud jokes.

I mean us. >> I know a place. >> I still can't believe that stage in that place is just so open to all the rooftops. >> Mhm. >> Insane. But I guess in real life that's how it is. >> My wife says I can't be a spy and I have to be home for dinner. The truth is I'm a driver, nothing more. >> A he needs to keep that. >> You'll never know what it's like to be an American. Never know what it feels like to kill for no reason. [laughter] >> Oh well. and good luck. >> Oh, [laughter] >> you ought to put on a Spurs hat and tell her to get back in the kitchen. You know what I'm saying? [laughter] >> Some people said it was a myth. >> No, it's no myth. I've seen it, felt it, kissed it, but I didn't French kiss it. [laughter] >> We have to get you out of the country. Would you mind taking off that wig? >> Man, we always got to leave the country. >> We never know where she was. >> Right. >> Hey, did you just hear him? >> Yeah, he never said that. 13 names linked to [music] centuries of tradition. The only real proof that the secret world exists. >> Not really. You could just say that she got it tattooed on for no reason. >> Jier, get your guns. >> I told you he was bad. Didn't I tell you? >> No. >> Well, I was thinking it. The explosion at the embassy. >> Why did you come to my room? >> Jier was going to be killed. Having you die in the crossfire would put an end to the investigation. >> It's over, Renard. You know what it's like for old men in prison? They make you work in the library. Your best friend going to be a mouse. [laughter] >> The green mile. >> Yeah, that's funny as hell. [laughter] >> Hello, brother. I'd like to make a trade. >> Something very valuable. >> Please. >> No. >> Help me, please. >> What do you want? >> Shyan, you and Jungvie will meet me alone tonight. >> Where? >> Jules V Restaurant. >> Oh, the Eiffel Tower. Oh [ __ ] I don't care what happened to him when he was younger. You don't grow it to be the most diabolical villain in the world, dude. [laughter] I don't care how bad it was. >> Couldn't have been that bad if he grew up next to Jackie Jan. >> I feel like he's blaming Lee talking about some you left me. Like I could understand if he was like 60 and still working at like, you know, the Olive Garden, but there's nothing wrong with. But he's a damn super criminal. [music] >> Hopefully she can fight. Welcome to the party, Lee. >> That's what they're going to behead her with. >> Tonight, we celebrate the return of Shaien and the return of my brother. >> Why are y'all wearing white then? >> So, I'm assuming they're supposed to be like an even match cuz they're brothers. >> Hundreds of years ago, the Triers would kill their enemies with 100 cuts to the body. >> Psychos. You have just experienced your first cut. You could never kill me, Lee. We both know that, >> man. Nothing about me. >> Stop pushing him. >> You have nothing. Just like me. I wouldn't say nothing. >> Stop. His brother from another mother. >> Crazy. [music] >> That poor girl. >> Oh my gosh. Do you WANT TO DIE, KENJI? KA, >> drop that gun. >> Get off that damn rope. I'm shooting you and the damn temptations. [laughter] >> UH-UH. DON'T KICK. >> I'M NOT PLAYING. YOU AIN'T MY DAMN BROTHER. [laughter] >> CUTTER. >> Tonight I lose a brother. Kill him. Get the ass Kenji. >> He's just back there hyping him up. >> COME ON. KILL HIM ALREADY. >> OH. OH. >> He might be your brother, BUT TURN HIM INTO YOUR SISTER. [music] [laughter] >> Oh my god, [screaming] man. That ain't fair. This is a brother fight. Stay out of it. OH, you come here. [laughter] Give me that. >> Man, he would have killed you, brother. >> He's going to pull you out, bro. >> Oh, never mind. >> No, you're right. The audience is sitting there like, "Well, [ __ ] duh." [laughter] Guys, sometimes we have to say the obvious stuff cuz if we don't, you guys think we don't get it. >> [laughter] >> Double kill. >> Man, this dude is crazy. >> Y'all have great balance. Just saying. >> Oh my >> [screaming] [laughter] >> He's getting good though. The reality is if you could calm your nerves, you could probably walk around just fine up there. I mean, I know the wind would be a lot, but >> not me. If I look down once, I'm done. >> Hence to calm your nerves. But yeah. >> Nope. Yeah, I would say they're they're fighting in a phone booth right now. Enough. >> Oh my god. Oh, y both going to fall. Oh, [screaming] >> in the water. >> Oh, a net. >> Oh, [screaming] >> I was hoping there was a fountain or something. I've never really been there. >> There ain't no damn fountain under [laughter] the Eiffel Tower. Then it would be the Eiffel Fountain. [laughter] >> She's like, "What the hell?" >> Oh my god. >> Got to let him go this time. >> What are you waiting for? >> Do it. >> You asked for it, buddy. [music] Let go or we're both going to die. No, I can't save you. >> Goodbye, Lee. >> No, catch it. No. >> Oh, redemption arc. When I looked down and saw those lights, I thought that was water and I was like, "Please don't be a fountain under [laughter] the damn Eiffel Tower cuz I'm going to get roasted if there is." >> I've already had about a brain dead reaction. >> Oh, I'm coming to you. [laughter] >> Jackie Chan's running on that thing. [clears throat] [laughter] >> So relatable, cuz that's how I would be. Stay cool, man. Come on. This doesn't this way. >> Don't do it. >> Please put the rope back on the cleat. Oh my god. >> Would you like to know a secret? >> No. >> Oh, >> would we like to know a secret, >> man? Kick her off. [screaming] >> Yeah. >> Oh, she fell in the wheel. >> Oh, she got crunched. Well, she got what she deserved. Lee, you should have seen us, man. We whooped ass. >> I'm okay. >> Oh [ __ ] >> Oh, >> who are these guys even? >> God, >> that was slick, though. >> You better hope that flag's not weathered. [laughter] >> [screaming] [laughter] >> Oh my god. >> Oh my god. Of course. [screaming] >> Really? [laughter] >> Said black people don't fly. Get me out of here. >> Oh my god. >> They're going. >> There is no snow. Hell no. Don't do that. >> A parachute. >> They make quite the pair. A shoot. There's your fountain. There's your fountain. [laughter] >> He's just yelling. >> Tyler, I'm no constipator anymore. [laughter] >> E, >> put your hands up. >> We're police officers. >> And you two just killed this girl. BLEW HER BRAINS OUT. GOD. >> DON'T DO IT. >> OH, [screaming] WHAT HAPPENED? >> Who shot him? >> What? [laughter] The taxi guy. >> I knew he'd be a hero. >> Case closed. >> So, you saw them flying down on that parachute? [laughter] >> Do you think his wife's mad that he's still out? >> Congratulations. It appears we have finally brought down the trials. We >> He didn't do [ __ ] My butt still hurts. >> Together, we can do anything. >> Man, throw his ass in the water. >> You go this way and I'll go that way. [music] >> All right. >> Where's the bloopers? [laughter] >> Is this the end? >> Cuz the bloopers are the best part. Absolutely. [music] >> I'm going make it to where every time you call me the song, please. [music] >> Freeze. >> A the seafood service. Seafood >> secret service. >> The sea >> secret not seafood. Well, everything together become a seafood. >> Yeah. Good. Mohamad Ali swing, man. [laughter] >> I'm sick of you, Kenji. You've been trying to kill us ever since the start of this damn movie. [laughter] >> Action. Okay. [laughter] The mom's gone. [laughter] >> Maybe we should put on the dirty movie. Wait, >> I like the ones with a story. >> What? >> I like the one with a locker room scene. I like the ones with a white girl. I'm into [laughter] I like the one with the horses. What's that mean? >> Why you teach me? >> Oh, people are telling him to say all this. [laughter] >> What's wrong with you? >> I don't know. But right now, tell teach me that. >> And you are not my brother. I'm not your brother. All the stuff we've been through. Rush Hour one, Rush Hour two, [laughter] >> guys. Rush Hour 1, 2, and three has been an absolute blast. I had so much fun watching them. >> Yeah, >> you did, too. >> They were so much fun, man. Like, uh, they were honestly just so different from anything we've seen on the channel. I mean, like, we've seen a lot of comedies and stuff, but >> we don't watch a lot of action, and to me that had an action. It was like action comedy. >> Yeah, the these movies just felt really unique. I don't really know how to describe it, man, because there are a lot of movies with a lot of similar things. Like I even point out the similarities in the reaction, but these movies had a very particular flavor to them. And I really really enjoyed these movies. >> I really love Jackie Chan. I like literally hope he's my grandpa. >> Yeah, he's [music] awesome. >> Yeah, >> not only are they just incredible, incredible talents because they are um they seem like awesome people. Honestly, they look like a lot of fun to work with. But then I think the bloopers really like solidify that for me. >> It was probably a fun set. They There's probably never a dull day, >> you know, like back in the day the DVDs would have like the bonus features and the special editions and all that stuff >> on the on the screen. >> I bet this one was a fun one. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. Let us know, guys, because a lot of you guys bought it on DVD. I'm sure maybe even the first one on VHS. I'm not really certain cuz >> y'all probably watch these like stars and stuff like on like on satellite. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. Oh, let them know what. Let us know what. Sorry. >> Oh, let us know how and when you watched them. And then also let us know of the three which one is your favorite. I'm going to have to say two. >> I like Rush Hour two the most. >> Rush Hour one was incredible. >> I say one because one was good because it got them together, but then two because they were already together, their chemistry, their partners. I love two. That was >> two was so memorable to me. Usually, usually when a movie like u has a sequel, it for the most part kind of feels like the original idea was the brilliant idea and then if the second movie can just be good, you know, usually just a continuation of your relationship with the characters is good enough to get you through. But I thought number two was phenomenal. And there's been a few movies like that. Like I thought Terminator 2 was better than the first one. >> Mhm. >> Maybe that's not a popular opinion, but I I personally liked it more. Um >> and so yeah, I'm really going to miss this franchise. I actually kind of wish that they would make more of these movies, but I'm glad they made them when they made them cuz in today's climate they would just be so different. >> Yeah. And I want to watch more movies like this like during that time period, which is like early 2000s, late '9s. I want to watch more movies from that era cuz we have missed quite a lot of them. We're in our 80s and stuff, but not really '90s. >> We're trying to watch like 70s, '8s. We would We're not really trying to go in in any particular order, but it's always nice to watch an older film, you know what I mean? cuz it's just an olderish. Well, this is kind of an older film. Like this one came out in what 2007? The original came out in like 2001 maybe or something. >> And we were in middle school. >> Dang, dude. Tom Brady was dropping 49 touchdowns this year. >> Oh, and also >> was it? >> I want to see more Chris Tucker, too. I don't know. I don't exactly know what he's in. If he's in standup or I know he's a comedian, obviously he's hilarious, but like >> does he do I don't know. We would put comedy like we would watch a comedy special but guys you know how we have to edit the video. We'll redo that. If you don't know we do it so that way it'll pass copyright. Um it's pretty obvious to most people I think at this point but just in case you are wondering like we have to basically like create clips that way one big clip won't get copyright stricken. [music] And if they copyright strike the movie not really a big deal but the issue becomes when they block the video and then you guys just will never be able to see the reaction unless you go to Patreon. They're always on Patreon. Um cuz there's there's like 30 videos and 30 movies that we've reacted to at this point that are completely blocked and you guys are never going to get to see them unless I eventually re-release them, which I probably will. I'll probably download them and try to edit them a little bit. >> One that was disappointing was Oppenheimer cuz that was a long movie. >> Oppenheimer. Uh another one was um they just said it in this movie. Uh what was it? The Shaw Shank Redemption. >> You mean The Green Mile? >> Yeah, The Green Mile. Shaw Shank Redemption. Is that one block two or is it copyright? >> I actually think he was talking about both movies cuz he said Shaw Shank Redemption. He said you're going to be a white guy at the library and I think that was Shaw Shank Redemption and Green Mile was the mouse. >> Yeah. Oh yeah, that part was sad. The dude at the library he gets out. >> Oh my god. >> Oh man. >> Yeah, but unfortunately I don't think you guys can see that. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe if you look it up they'll be out there. Kind of like Castaway. Is Castaway blocked? >> I don't know. But I feel like the blockbusters and if Tom Hanks is in it, it's probably blocked. Well, I feel like copyright used to be easier and our movies used to pass copyright and now we wake up and our old movies get hit with copyrights all the time >> because they switch like the same. Yeah. And AI tools and all that. Yeah. >> So, let us know in the comments what you guys want to see. But thank you guys so much for hanging out. That was a lot of fun. [music] Uh so yeah, man. Just leave us a comment. Thanks for hanging out. Like, comment, subscribe. Uh [ __ ] I done said that. Hype the video. [laughter] Is that it? Always so short, man. I hate getting off here cuz I get I have to leave all my friends. But I'll see you guys. Come over and hang out anytime. We're always here.
