THIS MOVIE IS ABSOLUTELY TIMELESS!! | Back to the Future (1985) Movie Reaction | First Time Watching
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video presents a first-time watching reaction to the 1985 classic *Back to the Future*, which the hosts describe as an absolutely timeless masterpiece directed by Steven Spielberg. As Marty McFly arrives in Hill Valley in 1955, he meets Doc Brown and learns about his invention, the DeLorean time machine, which relies on a flux capacitor and plutonium for operation. The narrative quickly shifts to a critical conflict where Marty realizes his presence has accidentally prevented his parents from meeting; specifically, his father George was previously bullied into submission by Biff Tannen, while his mother Lorraine had no interest in him, effectively erasing Marty's existence from the timeline he knows.
To resolve this crisis, Doc Brown reveals that a lightning strike at the clock tower scheduled for 10:04 PM is necessary to send Marty back to 1985, but since Marty's interference has altered history, that future no longer exists. The story highlights a significant character development arc where George transforms from a timid slacker into a confident man after Doc encourages him to stand up for himself and ask Lorraine to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. This sequence culminates in Marty rushing back to 1985 only to find his parents have not met, forcing him to return to 1955 one last time to help Doc fix the timeline before the lightning strike occurs.
Beyond the plot mechanics, the reviewers praise the film for its brilliant continuity and iconic characters that make it easy to follow without needing complex knowledge of paradoxes. They commend the movie's focus on social dynamics and life lessons regarding adolescence, noting how Marty's actions successfully transform his father from an insecure victim into a confident "straight baller." The discussion also touches on humorous hypothetical scenarios involving time travel, such as changing historical events or sports outcomes, leading the hosts to conclude that despite having the ability to do so, they would choose not to alter history.
The segment concludes by celebrating specific elements that contribute to the film's enduring appeal, including the charming 1950s town setting with its neon lights and Doc Brown's wacky yet sane personality, which is compared to Kramer from *Seinfeld*. The hosts emphasize the film's nostalgic quality that resonates with both parents and children alike, reinforcing their view of it as a brilliant work with strong cause-and-effect relationships. Ultimately, the video wraps up by encouraging viewers to engage with their content while reiterating the movie's status as a timeless piece of cinema that successfully blends humor, heart, and clever storytelling.

So,
>> Oh, really? Yeah.
>> Well, hopefully this is really good
because I personally have been wanting
to watch this movie for a while, guys.
There's no particular reason we're
watching it today other than I felt like
it's time. We was just thinking what do
we watch tonight and it just seems like
the perfect day.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. So, I've never seen it. Um I
I know what the Delorean the Delorean
time machine is. I know what that car
is. And I know what the flux capacitor
is because I used to see these little
YouTube shorts where people would show
up and say, "I'm here to fix your flux
capacitor." Well, right this way. Before
we watch this, you got any thoughts?
>> Nope.
>> All right, guys. If you want to see the
full uncut reaction, man, we do have a
Patreon. Make sure you guys like,
comment, subscribe if you enjoy the
video. That is for sure. Um, hype the
video. That helps more than you guys
know. And if you enjoy these type of
reactions, hit the subscribe button for
sure because we are dropping a lot of
good stuff. Uh, we've been on a tear
lately. And we're also about to watch
Band of Brothers. So that's coming out.
We're probably watching that now.
>> Yeah.
>> All right, let's go.
Steven Spielberg. I didn't even know
that.
>> I didn't know that either.
>> Sorry, guys. We didn't know. We would
have said something. I mean, that's like
a hell of a surprise, right?
Isn't that from like an old movie?
>> I don't know. But that's the creepiest
one. I The cat one. I always think
there's a devil in it.
>> Oh, there's Albert. Hey, there's a lot
of my heroes right there.
>> Expected to vote on this today.
Officials at the Pacific Nuclear
Research Facility have denied the rumor
that a case of missing plutonium was in
fact stolen from their vault two weeks
ago. A Libyan terrorist group had
claimed responsibility. Officials now
attribute the discrepancy to a simple
clerical error. FBI.
>> Whose contraption is this?
>> Kind of looks like a single man's.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> Living in the future going, that's for
sure. [laughter]
>> Oh,
>> hey, Doc. Hello. Anybody home? Einstein,
come here, BOY.
>> PLUTONIUM. [clears throat]
>> He stole it. It was him.
>> Oh gosh.
He's just turning these things up. Maybe
it's like a amp or something.
>> Oh my god. You're freaking right. It's a
guitar
>> cuz the buzzing. I was like I was like,
he's not just in there turning the
contraptions up. He's a skateboarder. Oh
my god. [laughter]
>> That's what happened to me when I
touched all those wires. Remember I told
you that?
>> Yeah. Waffle House. Mhm.
>> Hey Doc, where are you?
>> I FOUND YOU. LISTEN, you meet me at Twin
Pines Mall tonight at 1:15. I made a
major breakthrough and I'll need your
assistance. You better not hook up to
the amplifier. There's a slight
possibility of overload. [laughter]
>> A little late.
>> THOSE WHITE ARE HERE.
>> YEAH. UH, IT'S 8:00.
>> MY EXPERIMENT WORKED. THEY'RE ALL
EXACTLY 25 MINUTES SLOW.
>> WAIT, WHAT?
>> DAMN,
I'm late for school.
>> Huh?
So he came there to play that on the way
to school.
>> Hey, he just had to rock out.
>> He just messed that guy's house all up.
[music]
>> He skates regular.
>> No, he's not.
>> Oh, he's going to sketch the Ford.
>> That was my first truck, guys. That same
truck that guy just had.
>> A That's good times when you can just
like hop on people's car and they don't
care.
>> Yeah, guys. I know we're talking a lot,
but they sell that same Mountain Dew hat
that guy just had at Walmart right now.
Yo, Jennifer.
>> Marty, don't go this way. Strickland's
looking for you. If you get caught,
it'll be four tardies in a row.
>> The doc sit on his client's 25 minutes.
>> Well, Doc, if you hang around with him,
you're going to end up in big trouble.
>> Oh, yes, sir. You got a real attitude
problem, McFly. You're a slacker. You
remind me of your father when he went
here. He was a slacker, too.
>> Dang.
>> Why even bother, McFly? You don't have a
chance. You're too much like your own
man. No McFly ever am a monitor to
anything in the history of Hill Valley.
Damn.
>> He's snaping him. Has to be right for
the heads.
[music]
>> Hey, not bad.
>> I I like it. [screaming]
>> I'm afraid you're just too darn loud.
Next, please.
>> It was guitar heavy.
>> They just don't understand the vision
yet.
>> You're never going to get a chance to
play in front of anybody.
>> It's like doctor.
>> Yeah, I know. I know. If you put your
mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
>> That's good advice, Marty.
>> What if I send in the tape and they
don't like it? What if they say, "Get
out of here, kid. You got no future." I
mean, I just don't think I can take that
kind of rejection.
>> Jesus, I'm starting to sound like my own
man.
>> At least he's letting you borrow the car
tomorrow night.
>> Everyone's ragging on him.
>> That is hot. Someday, Jennifer.
>> Does your mom know about tomorrow night?
>> Get out of town. My mom thinks I'm going
camping with the guys. Well, Jennifer,
my mother would freak out if she knew I
was going up there with you. And I get
the standard lecture about how she never
did that kind of stuff when she was a
kid. I mean, look, I think the woman was
born a nun.
>> She's just trying to keep you
respectable.
>> Well, she's not doing a very good job.
>> Yeah, you got to look out for this hot
shot.
>> I know.
>> Mayor Wilson is sponsoring an initiative
to replace that clock. 40 years ago,
lightning struck that clock tower, and
the clock hasn't run since. We think it
should be preserved exactly the way it
is as part of our history and heritage.
>> There you go, lady. There's a quarter.
[clears throat]
>> Save the clock tower.
>> I like it. It adds character. That's my
dad.
>> I've got to go. He fully checked out
those girls. Does that say orgy back
there?
>> Orgy American style.
>> When do they throw my movie in here?
>> It's only $5 to go.
>> I'm a cheap ticket.
Oh my goodness. Do you call that
hitchwriting?
>> I forget what it's called. When I play
Tony Hawk on you, I think it's called
like sketching or something. Yeah, it
changed the game when you could start
doing that on Tony Hawk.
>> I didn't know you could do that on Tony.
>> What did you go up and press triangle?
>> No, I try to balance. Yeah, buddy. Hell
yeah. [laughter]
>> Just perfect.
>> I can't believe you loan me your car
without telling me it had a blind spot,
please. I could have been killed. Never
noticed that the car had any blind spot
before when I would drive it.
>> A blind spot. [laughter]
>> Your uh insurance is going to pay for
the damage.
>> My insurance? It's your car. I spilled
beer all over when that car smashed into
me. Who's going to pay my cleaning bill?
[laughter]
>> Since they weren't due till Hello.
>> Oh, hell no.
>> Do you realize what would happen if I
hand in my [clears throat] reports in
your handwriting? I'll get fired. You
wouldn't want that to happen, would you?
Would you?
>> Of course not. I'll uh finish those
reports on up tonight and I'll we'll run
them on over first thing tomorrow. All
right,
>> McFly, your shoes untly
>> car towed all the way to your house and
all you got for me is light beer
>> smacking with that skateboard.
>> What are you looking at buttad?
>> Whoa.
>> Say hi to your mom for me.
>> I know what you're going to say, son.
And you're right, but uh Biff just
happens to be my supervisor, and I'm
afraid I'm just not very good at
confrontations.
[sighs]
>> He ran all over him.
>> You're better off without having to
worry about all the
>> Damn, that looks good. I love peanut
brittle,
>> but a big bowl. I can only eat like
three pieces.
>> The old me would have smacked that whole
box. I promise you.
>> Your uncle Joey didn't make parole
again.
>> BE FUNNY. HAPPY TO YOU.
>> A
pop.
Time to change that oil. [laughter]
>> What was that laugh, dude?
>> You got to rewind it on that one.
>> Hey, Marty.
>> Because he's just constantly getting
roasted and ran all over.
>> I don't like her, Marty. Any girl who
calls up a boy is just ASKING FOR
TROUBLE. WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE, I never
chased a boy or called a boy or sat in a
parked car with a boy. Then how am I
supposed to ever meet anybody? It'll
just happen like the way I met your
father. That was so stupid. Grandpa hit
him with the car. It was meant to be.
[laughter]
>> That would feel me.
>> That guy got hit with a car. [laughter]
>> None of you would have been born. Still
don't understand what dad was doing in
the middle of the street.
>> What was it, George? Bird watching.
>> What? Lorine. Anyway, grandpa hit him
with the car and brought him into the
house and my heart just went out to him.
You felt sorry for him, so you decided
to go with him to the fish under the sea
dance.
>> No, no, it was the enchantment under the
sea dance. Our first date.
>> Oh, that sounds fun, though.
>> Your father kissed me for the very first
time on that dance floor.
>> And she's day drinking talking about it.
[laughter]
>> If you ever feel that way about me, just
divorce me, please. I forgot my video
camera. Can you stop by my place and
pick it up on your way to the mall?
>> Uh, yeah. On my way.
>> He's not going to be able to hitch
rides. It's the middle of the night.
>> Hey, Einstein. Where's the die, boy?
>> The reveal. Cuz it's going to be him.
>> Oh, let's go.
>> Out of time.
For the record, I own this car in Rocket
League.
>> Doc,
>> welcome to my latest experiment. This is
a big one. The one I've been waiting for
all my life. All your questions will be
answered. Roll tape.
>> All right. Is that a devil?
>> Never mind that now. Never mind that
now. Right now.
>> Hey. Hey, boy. Get in there. Now, boy.
>> Oh, no. Don't experiment with him.
>> Einstein's clock is in precise
synchronization with my control watch.
>> Right. Check. Good. Have a good trip,
Einstein. Watch your head.
>> That dog's like,
"Oh my god, it's got a remote control."
That's fire.
>> Poor Einstein.
>> He's out there doing burnouts.
[laughter]
>> When this baby hits 88 mph, you're going
to see some serious
>> Doesn't he kind of look like Evan
Peters?
>> A little bit mixed with damn uh
>> Jim Carrey.
>> Jim Carrey. Yeah. So he must really look
like Jim Carrey if we both think so.
>> Oh, that was tough.
>> That was risky.
>> And now there's going to be time
dilation on the clocks.
>> Jesus Christ, Doc. YOU DISINTEGRATED
EINSTEIN.
>> CALM DOWN, MARTY. I DIDN'T DISINTEGRATE
ANYTHING. EINSTEIN HAS JUST BECOME the
world's first time traveler.
>> Oh, what an honor for that dog.
>> One minute into the future
[clears throat] to be exact.
>> Wa! You're
>> Where's the car going to appear?
>> Are you telling me you built a time
machine out of a Delorean?
>> IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUILD A TIME MACHINE
INTO A CAR, WHY NOT DO IT SOME STYLE?
LOOK OUT.
>> Please be okay, puppy.
EINSTEIN, YOU LITTLE DEVIL.
>> Good job, Einstein. A
>> He skipped over that minute to instantly
arrive at this moment IN TIME. COME
HERE. I'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT WORKS. ALL
RIGHT. You turn the time circuits on.
>> Wa.
>> This read out tells you where you're
going. This one tells you where you are.
This one tells you where you were.
>> NOVEMBER 5TH, 1955.
That was the day I invented time travel.
I was standing on the edge of my toilet
hanging a clock. The porcelain was wet.
I slipped hit my head on the edge of the
sink. And when I came to I had a
revelation, a picture of this. This is
what makes time travel possible. The
flux capacitor. It's taken me almost 30
years of my entire family fortune to
realize the vision of that day. Things
have certainly changed around here. I
remember when this was all farmland as
far as the eye could see.
>> Everybody own all of this. He had this
crazy idea about breeding pine trees.
>> Wait, how the hell do they know each
other? Ain't he in high school? going to
require something with a little more
kick. Lutonium.
>> He has it.
>> It was under his bed.
>> Yeah.
>> Did you rip that off?
>> Of course. From a group of Libyan
nationalists. They wanted me to BUILD
HIM A BOMB. SO, I TOOK THEIR PLUTONIUM
and in turn gave them a shiny bomb
casing FULL OF USED PINBALL MACHINE
PARTS. [laughter]
>> He gave him a dud.
>> He's planning on skipping out of time.
>> I get a lot of Stranger Things from
this.
>> Mhm.
>> Steve Harrington's outfit in particular.
Yeah, with the hair
>> safe now. Everything's lead line.
>> Everything's lead lined. [laughter]
>> Where you going? That's right. 25 years
into the future. I've always dreamed of
seeing the future. Looking beyond my
ears. I'll also be able to see who wins
the next 25 World Series.
>> Are you bet?
>> I almost forgot to bring EXTRA PLURIUM.
HOW DO I EVER EXPECT to get back? One
pellet, one trip. I must be out of my
mind.
>> One pellet, one trip. He almost got
stuck there.
>> They found me. I don't know how, but
they found me.
>> Wait, who is this?
>> No.
>> Oh no. Y'all got to go.
>> Oh my gosh.
[screaming]
>> Wait.
WHAT?
[screaming]
WHOA.
WHAT?
>> SO, I'm assuming this movie is going to
be about saving him.
>> Like, we're going to have to go back in
time to save him.
>> You trying to figure out? Yeah.
>> ARE YOU
[laughter]
[music]
>> damn
88?
>> Oh, where's the date set into? Still 25
years.
Oh, he was close. [laughter]
>> Oh no. Oh no. [music]
>> Chill.
>> How did he get all these guns into the
country? I guess he bought them here.
[screaming]
>> Oh my [screaming] god.
>> Hey, he said it was farmland.
>> Yeah, it is farmland. Oh, what is it?
What is it, Paul?
>> Looks like an airplane. But I wait, bro.
[laughter]
>> They think it's an alien. [laughter]
>> Oh my god. He's going to be wearing that
suit. OH,
[screaming]
>> MISUNDERSTANDING.
>> This turned into signs. [laughter]
>> Sorry about your barn.
Whoa. Shotgun
in human FORM. SHOOT IT.
>> Oh
>> I YOU KILL MY P.
>> But didn't he just
>> Oh my Cuz it was called Twin Pines Mall
and that was You see what I'm saying?
[laughter]
Oh my god. Because it was Twin Pines. It
was Twin Pines Mall. But they made a big
deal about how he ran. So now it's just
going to be called like the Single Pine
Mall or something
>> cuz he was messing with history.
>> Insane.
>> That's his old neighborhood.
>> That's where he skated in like Bart
Simpson earlier.
>> Listen, you got to help.
[screaming]
>> Oh yeah. Noonium. One pellet, one trip.
>> [music]
>> Ronald Reagan. [clears throat]
>> He looks crazy like with his outfit.
>> I know cuz they look all like wearing
hats and professional.
>> Yeah, like the 50s.
>> What?
>> Kangaroo shoes.
>> Those are tough.
[music]
>> So, we're going to get to see that thing
get struck.
>> That's cool. Mayor Red Thomas's progress
platform means more jobs, better
education, and lower taxes. On election
day, cast your vote for a proven leader.
>> Oh, the day he invented it or came up
with the idea.
>> Hey kid, what'd you do? Jump ship.
What's with the life preserver?
[laughter]
>> Roasted. He gets roasted in every
everywhere he goes.
This movie is a trip so far. I love it.
>> They're definitely going to remake this
one.
>> God, I hope not.
>> 40 river. Are
>> you going to order something, kid?
>> Look, just give me something without any
sugar in it. Okay.
>> Hey, McFly.
>> Was that his dad?
>> That's his pops.
>> Oh, hey, Biff. Hey, guys. How are you
doing? You got my fly.
>> HELLO. ANYBODY HOME? HEY, THINK REPLY.
>> Do you realize what would happen if I
hand in my homework and your
handwriting?
>> Unbelievable.
>> What are you looking at?
>> Poor guy. Hey, Biff gave over to this
guy's life preserved. Thor thinks he's
going to drown.
>> Yeah. So, how about [laughter] McFly?
>> Oh, McFly, your shoes are
so gullible. McFly,
>> that sucks. And that's his boss.
>> This dork thinks he's going to drown.
[laughter]
Give him a pep talk.
>> You're George McFly. What do you let
those boys push you around like THAT
FOR? STAND TALL, BOY. HAVE SOME RESPECT
for yourself. You think I'm going to
spend the rest of my life in this slop
house?
>> Watch it,
>> No sir. I'm going to make myself school
and one day I'm going to be somebody.
That's right. HE'S GOING TO BE MAYOR.
>> MAYOR. NOW THAT'S a good idea. Mayor
Goldie Wilson. I like the sound of that.
>> [laughter]
>> What if he inspired that?
>> Well, I think he did. You mean has he
like literally just inspired that?
>> But I mean like because he's going back
in time, but the guy already is doing
it. So I'm wondering like
>> Well, that's the ultimate paradox about
time travel.
>> Yeah, I know.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> So I'm like I'm wondering how it works
in this movie. I guess
>> it's almost like time exists in the
past, present, and future at the same
time.
>> Yeah.
OH,
>> his dad's a peeping tom.
>> I thought he was looking at birds. He's
looking at teddy birds.
He's looking at them little tweet
tweets. [laughter]
>> He's a peeping tom,
>> BROTHER.
They found him in the road OR HE GOT
>> OH NO, he got ran over.
>> Smacked his head.
>> Who are you?
STELLA, ANOTHER ONE OF THESE DAMN KIDS
JUMPED IN FRONT OF MY CAR. COME ON OUT
HERE. HELP ME TAKE THEM IN THE HOUSE.
>> Another one.
>> Here they are now. Just relax.
>> Oh no.
Dream went back in time.
>> I'm safe in town now. Back in good old
1955.
>> No.
>> That's mom.
>> You're my You're my
>> My name is Lorraine. Oh, you [sighs]
you're SO UH THIN.
>> JUST RELAX, CALVIN. You got a big bruise
on your head.
>> Calvin,
>> why the hell does she call him Calvin?
>> I've never seen purple underwear before,
Calvin.
>> Calvin, why why do you keep calling me
Calvin?
>> Well, that is your name, isn't it?
Calvin Klein.
>> Do you see all of your underwear?
>> That is hilarious. [laughter]
Oh, that's a little strange. I thought
she was a little saint.
>> Yeah, remember she didn't sit in the car
with boys,
>> right?
>> That's a a big bruise you have there.
>> Hooray. Are you out there?
>> Oh my god, IT'S MY MOTHER. PUT YOUR
PANTS BACK ON.
>> I guess you're a sailor, aren't you?
That's why you wear that life preserver.
>> Oh, so that's his grandma. That's so
cute. That's Toby. And over there in the
playpen is little baby Joey.
>> So you're my uncle Joey. Better get used
to these bars, kid.
>> Oh, that's the jailbird.
>> He cries whenever we take him out, so we
just leave him in there all the
[laughter] time.
>> Lraine is tripping me out.
>> Do you have a television?
>> Well, yeah. You know, we have two of
them.
>> Damn.
>> Loaded.
>> Oh, honey. He's teasing you. Nobody has
two television sets.
>> Marty, you look so familiar to me. Do I
know your mother?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, I think maybe you do. Do you know
where Riverside Drive is?
>> It's uh the other end of town, a block
past Maple.
>> That's John F. Kennedy Drive.
>> Who the hell does John F. Kennedy?
>> Oh.
>> Oh, I have no idea.
>> Don't you think he ought to spend the
night? I mean, after all, killed him
with the car and he can sleep in my
room. I got to go. I got to go. Thanks
very much. It was wonderful. You were
all great. Uh, see you all later.
>> He's a very strange young man.
>> He's an idiot. [laughter]
>> Parents are probably idiots, too.
>> You ever have a kid who acts that way,
I'll disown you. [laughter]
>> Why did I love that so much?
>> That was so awkward. Hell of a scene,
though. I think Lorraine is a little
disingenuous about her past.
>> Your dad almost run someone over there.
You're trying to hop on a
>> Hey, and by the way, if somebody runs me
over and I'm knocked out for 9 hours,
take me to a hospital.
>> I know.
Mm-m.
>> Stop.
Don't say a word.
>> Wait, how's he so old?
>> I'm going to read your thoughts. You
want me to buy a subscription to the
Saturday Evening Post? No. Not a word.
Not a word. Not a word. Now you want me
to make a donation to the Coast Guard
youth [laughter] facility
>> cuz he has the inflatable
[laughter]
>> the life jacket.
>> I came here in a time machine that you
invented. Now I need your help to get
back to 1985.
>> Do you know what this means? Means that
this damn thing DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.
>> OKAY. All right. I'll prove it to you.
Look at my birthday for crying out loud.
I haven't even been BORN YET. THEN TELL
ME, future boy, who's president of the
United States? Ronald Reagan. Ronald
Reagan, the actor. [laughter]
>> I SUPPOSE JAY WYMAN IS A FIRST LADY.
>> WELL, WAIT, DOC.
>> JACK BENNY, HIS SECRETARY OF THE
TREASURY.
>> That was his first wife, right? And then
he married Nancy.
>> You were standing on your toilet and you
were hanging a clock and you fell and
you hit your head on the sink and that's
when he came up with the idea for the
flux capacitor.
[laughter]
Well, now it makes sense how they know
each other. They met in 1955.
>> Yeah, but of course I still have a lot
of questions about that.
>> I can't answer them.
>> Flux capacitor.
>> It's in there. You made it happen.
>> I finally invented something that works.
>> Your ass. It works.
>> Look at me. I'M AN OLD MAN.
>> HEY, I'M DR. BROWN. I'm standing here on
THE
>> THANK GOD I STILL GOT my hair
this thing I'm wearing. Well, this this
is a radiation suit,
>> of course, because of all the fallout
from the atomic force. [laughter]
>> He doesn't even set the record straight,
>> right?
>> But I need a nuclear reaction to to
generate the 1.21 GIGS OF ELECTRICITY.
>> 21 GIGAWATT.
[laughter]
>> That's a lot.
>> I always called that gigawatt.
>> How am I going to generate that kind of
power? It can't be done. Can't. All we
need is a LITTLE PLUTONIUM. OH, I'M SURE
THAT IN 1985 PLUTONIUM was available in
every corner drugstore. But in 1955,
it's [laughter] a little hard to come
by. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you're
stuck here.
>> Doc, you're my only hope.
>> Mari, I'm sorry, but the only power
source capable of generating 1.21
gigawatts of electricity is a bolt of
lightning.
>> Unfortunately, you never know when or
where it's ever going to strike.
>> Now we do. Perfect.
>> This is the answer.
>> It's going to hit that tower. That's so
cool. NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT, WE'RE SENDING
YOU BACK TO THE future
>> title. [laughter]
>> You must not see anybody or talk to
anybody. Anything you do could have
serious repercussions on future events.
Have you interacted with anybody else
today besides me?
>> Yeah. Well, I might have sort of bumped
into my parents.
>> This proves my theory. Look at your
brother.
>> It's like It's like he's been erased.
>> Erased from existence.
>> A that has to have consequences, right?
According to my theory, you interfered
with your parents' first meeting. If
they don't meet, they won't fall in
love. They won't get married, and they
won't have kids.
>> Sounds pretty heavy.
>> Wait, it has nothing to do with it.
>> Which one's your P?
>> VERY FUNNY. YOU GUYS ARE BEING REAL
MATURE. NICK,
>> JESUS, didn't that guy ever have hair?
>> You're a slacker.
[laughter]
>> What does your mother ever see that?
>> I don't know, Doc. I don't know. I I
guess you felt sorry for him cuz her dad
hit him with the car. Hit me with the
car.
>> Yeah,
>> that's a starting scale effect.
>> I have been looking all over for you.
You remember me? The guy who saved your
life the other day.
>> Yeah, good. There's somebody I'd like
you to meet.
>> What's the dance?
>> I'd like you to meet my good friend
George McFly. It's really a pleasure to
meet you.
>> Hey, he had confidence though.
>> I've been so worried about you ever
since you ran off the other night. Are
you okay?
He hit her with the
>> Isn't he a dream boat?
>> Oh lord. Not the sun.
>> Apparently your mother is amorously
infatuated with you instead of your
father.
>> Wa wait a minute. Doc, are you trying to
tell me that my mother has got the hots
for me?
>> Precisely.
>> Wa. This is heavy.
>> There's that word again. Heavy. Why are
things so heavy in the future? Is there
a problem with the Earth's gravitational
[laughter] pole?
>> So you've got to get your father and
mother to interact.
>> Well, what you mean like a date? I don't
know. What do kids do in the 50s?
>> Drink milkshakes.
>> There's a rhythmic [laughter] ceremonial
ritual coming up.
>> OF COURSE, THE ENCHANTMENT under the sea
dance. They're supposed to go to this.
>> That's going to be hard.
>> What are you writing? Science fiction
stories about uh visitors coming down to
Earth from other planets.
Get out of town. I didn't know you did
anything creative. Let me read some. Oh,
no. No, no, no. I never I never let
anybody read my stories. What if they
didn't like them? What if they told me I
was no good?
>> Not Lorraine. She really likes you. She
told me to tell you that she wants you
to ask her to the Enchantment Under the
Sea dance. All you got to do is go over
there and ask her. What if she said no?
I don't know if I could take that kind
of a rejection.
>> Rejection's good for you. Put hair on
your chest.
>> I think she'd rather go with somebody
else.
>> Not at all.
>> Shut your filthy mind. I'm not that kind
of girl. Hey, relax, biff.
>> She said, "Take your meat hooks
off. [snorts]
[laughter]
>> You know you've been looking for a
bomb."
>> Oh, no. She's going to like this.
>> I'm going to cut you a break. So, why
don't you make like a tree and get out
of here?
>> He meant leave, right?
>> Following me around. [laughter]
>> Damn, George.
>> But I can't go to the dance. I'll miss
my favorite television program, Science
Fiction Theater. [laughter]
>> He says, "Shows before hoes."
>> And now you or anybody else on this
planet is going to make me change my
mind.
>> He just likes to look through the
window. He don't like to actually talk
to him. [laughter] He's scared of
rejection.
[laughter]
That's how I felt the other night.
[laughter]
>> That's how [clears throat] I felt at the
talent show.
>> My name is Darth Vader. [laughter]
>> I am an extraterrestrial from the planet
Vulcan.
>> I need your help. I have to ask Lorraine
out, but I don't know how to do it. Last
night, Darth Vader came down from planet
Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take
Lraine out, that he'd melt [laughter] my
brain.
This movie is so charming in a way.
>> He just tricked his own daddy.
>> Yeah,
>> but I don't know what to say.
>> Would you say anything, George? Well,
whatever is natural, the first thing
that comes into your mind. Nothing's
coming to my mind. Jesus, George, was no
wonder I was even born.
>> What? What?
>> Nothing. Nothing. Tell her Destiny
brought you together. Tell her that she
is the most beautiful girl you have ever
seen in the world.
>> Does this kind of remind you of
Terminator, too?
>> A little bit. Yeah.
>> Not too Terminator. Also,
>> he even looks like the dad a little bit.
They're both 80s movies.
>> Give me a milk.
>> Is that gold?
>> Chocolate.
>> Hey, YOU [laughter]
do it. My density has brought me to you.
>> What? [laughter]
>> I'm George. I'm your density. I MEAN
YOUR DESTINY. THEY'RE FLYING.
>> Leave him alone.
>> I thought I told you never to come in
here.
>> This guy's a douchebag. For real.
>> He can't come to the diner.
>> Jeez.
>> How much you want, Biff?
[laughter]
>> You see his eyes?
>> What's that?
[laughter]
>> Yes.
>> Oh my god. He's a dream.
[laughter]
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Wow. Look at him go.
>> So, he invented skateboarding, too.
Unbelievable.
>> He pretty much invented Star Wars, too,
in a way. He just said Darth Vader.
>> Yeah. [laughter]
>> So, with wheels is an absolute dream.
around.
>> Did bullies back then really do that
with cars? [laughter]
>> You would think not, right? Like not the
way they portray it.
[laughter]
>> Deserved.
>> Where does it come from? Yeah. WHERE
DOES HE LIVE? I don't know, but I'm
going to find out.
She's all huffing and puffing.
I mean, I know that guys probably back
then did that for sure cuz they do it
now, but they do portray it in a very
cartoonish manner in movies.
>> He's running the town, ain't he?
>> Yeah, [laughter] the town's never seen
nothing like him. They didn't account
for that equation or for that variable,
I should say.
>> Passain devices video unit.
>> You know, there's something I haven't
told you about the night we made.
>> Please, don't tell me I know too much
about my own future. I didn't days of my
own existence, just as YOU HAD NATURED
YOURS. Let me show you my plan for
sending you home. Please excuse the
crudity of this model. I didn't have
time to build it to scale or to paint
it.
>> Oh my god, that's impressive.
>> According to the fire, at precisely
10:04 p.m., lightning will strike the
clock tower just as a connecting hook
makes contact and sending you back to
1985.
>> Well, what second does it hit?
>> I'll simulate the lightning.
>> Uh-oh. [laughter]
I hate those things.
>> RELEASE.
[laughter]
>> Or it could do that.
>> That's what Mrs. October pictures the
car doing if she uses jumper cables.
>> That's what I picture when we carry a
gas can in the car.
>> Mhm.
COME ON. SHE'S CRACKING DOWN. LET'S
COVER THE TITLE.
>> MARTY. MARTY, this may seem a little
forward, but I was kind of wondering if
you'd ask me to the enchantment under
the sea dance on Saturday.
>> What about George?
>> George McFly. I think a man should be
strong so he can stand up for himself.
>> We're getting a dog. [laughter] He's
about to pass out.
Don't you
>> maybe it's going to help with their
marriage in the future.
>> Maybe
>> cuz he can give him advice.
>> He's going to have to earn it
>> instead of like getting lucky and
getting sympathy.
>> That's why we got to show her that you
are a fighter. Somebody who's going to
protect her. Yeah, but I've never picked
a fight in my entire life. Look, you're
not going to be picking a fight. Dad.
Dad. Dad. Daddyo.
>> I'm going to be at the dance.
>> Right. And where am I going to be?
>> You're going to be in the car with her
right around 9:00. She's going to get
very angry with me.
>> Why is she going to get angry with you?
Nice girls get angry when uh guys take
advantage of them.
>> She might not low key.
>> You see us uh struggling in the car.
>> You open the door and you say, "Hey, you
get your damn hands off her."
[laughter]
>> You punch me in the stomach. I'm out for
the count. And you and Lorraine live
happily ever after. Oh, you make it
sound so easy.
>> His voice makes me laugh.
You can accomplish anything.
>> He's not a badl looking guy or anything.
He just has like a dorky personality.
>> He's like the villain in all the 2000's
movies.
>> Yeah,
>> he really is that the villain. That guy.
>> You've really made a difference in my
life. You've given me something to shoot
for. Just knowing that I'm going to be
around to see 1985, that I'm going to
succeed in this.
>> A I'm really going to miss you, Marty.
>> I'm really going to miss you, Doc, about
the future. NO, WE'VE ALREADY AGREED
THAT HAVING information about the future
could be extremely dangerous. Even if
your intentions are good. Whatever
you've got to tell me, I'll find out
through the natural course of time.
>> A, that's so sad.
>> On the night that I go back in time, you
will be shot. Please take whatever
precautions are necessary to prevent
this terrible disaster.
>> Well, give them some details.
>> Marty,
>> I would be like, just don't make bombs
for Libyans.
>> Yeah.
Evening, Dr. Brown. Uh, what's with the
wire?
>> Oh, just little weather experiment. No,
>> don't touch that. Some new specialized
weather sensing equipment.
>> You got a permit for that? Of
>> course, I do.
Just a second. I can find it here.
>> Pulled out the wallet. I'm assuming he's
going to bribe him a little bit cuz
you're old his eyes. It is the 50s, you
know.
>> It's decorated. So cute. Do you mind if
we park for a while?
>> That's a great idea. I'd love to park.
>> I thought you didn't like that.
>> Not like I've never parked before.
[clears throat]
[laughter]
>> Great. Right. What are you doing?
>> I swipe from the old lady's liquor
cabinet.
>> You shouldn't drink.
>> Why not?
>> Because you you might regret it later in
life.
>> Don't be such a square.
>> Oh, cuz she's drinking vodka all day.
>> [laughter]
>> You smoke too.
>> She's not bashful at all on a first
date, is she?
>> She's just pulling out all this stuff
from her purse. [laughter]
>> He's looking for
>> Marty.
Why are you so nervous?
>> I feel like cuz you're not nervous.
[laughter] I've been in a situation
where you knew you had to act a certain
way, but when you got there, you didn't
know if you could go through with it.
>> You know what I do in those situations?
Hey, don't worry.
>> Oh, no. No, no.
>> What does that look?
>> This is all wrong. But when I kiss you,
it's like I'm kissing my brother. I
guess it doesn't make any sense, does
it?
Oh,
>> wrong person.
>> Let him go, Biff. You're drunk.
>> Well, look at what we have here.
Right here with me.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> You see how this is shaping? Yes.
>> Hopefully.
>> Dude, Biff is a real creep. But so is
his dad, though.
>> Damn.
Damn. THEY THREW HIM LIKE THAT. WHAT
>> THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO my car? Beat
it spook. This don't concern you.
Who you calling spook?
>> Look, I don't want to mess with no
reefer addicts. Okay, you're home to
your mom.
>> Reefer addatics. [laughter]
>> That's why the band had to go take a
break.
>> We'll be right back. Don't you go
nowhere.
>> He's like, "Dang, he's really selling
it."
>> Hey, you get your damn hands off.
>> I think you got the wrong car. McFly,
>> help me, please.
>> Just turn around, McFly, and walk away.
No, Biff. You leave her alone.
>> Tell his ass
for it. And now you're going to get it.
>> Stop it.
>> A damn.
>> Let him go. Let him go.
>> Oh, there it is. Crack his ass.
>> Oh,
>> he did a spin around.
>> My boy's a southpaw cracking [laughter]
with the left.
Are you okay?
A Now their story is a little better.
>> Yeah.
>> Who is that guy? That's George McFly.
>> I'm proud of George.
>> Hey guys, you got to get back in there
and finish the dance.
>> Hey man, look at Marvin's hand.
>> Marvin, you got to play. See, that's
where they kiss for the first time on
the dance floor. And if there's no
music, they can't dance.
>> Hey man, the dance is over. Unless you
know somebody else that can play the
guitar.
>> Oh no. But how wholesome if it go if it
works like your own son played the
music?
>> That's what I'm saying. This movie is
really good.
[music]
>> George, aren't you going to kiss me?
>> I I don't know. Scram fly. I'm cutting
in.
>> Oh, hell no.
>> Hey, boy. You all right?
>> I can't play.
>> George.
>> Oh my god, he's translucent. Excuse me.
[music]
>> I like that.
>> George has became a straight predator.
>> He's a man out here.
[music]
>> She said, "I just want somebody to touch
me."
>> A
>> Yeah, she like that.
[music]
>> It's when you can gauge if she likes it
or not by the picture.
>> Yeah. [laughter]
>> Yeah, man. That was good. LET'S DO
ANOTHER ONE. Let's do something that
really cooks.
>> Okay, let's cook something.
>> What is it? I hope I know it.
>> Oh, he's going to play something from
the future.
>> What if he coins it?
[music]
>> Okay.
>> Classic.
>> At least they understand his vision.
>> Okay.
>> Cuz he knocked off Biff. [laughter]
What if in the second movie he's in
charge of Biff?
>> That'd be sick.
>> I wonder if that would work.
[laughter]
>> No, he didn't. [music]
>> They're like, "Dang, he's shredding."
>> Oh my god, [laughter]
>> he just jumped off the sound thing.
He looks like that damn dude from Green
Day falling all over the floor.
>> So, no one understands the vision.
[laughter]
>> No, I can't guess you guys aren't ready
for that yet, but your kids are going to
love it. [laughter]
>> They kind of don't.
>> Their kids do.
>> Didn't he just fail the battle of the
bands?
>> He's just talking about rock and roll in
general.
>> George asked if he could take me home.
>> Great. Good. Marty, will we ever see you
again?
>> I guarantee it. If you guys ever have
kids and one of them when he's 8 years
old accidentally sets fire to the living
room rug,
go easy, hunter.
>> Super specific. [laughter]
>> Marty, such a nice name.
>> The old man REALLY CAME THROUGH AND
WORKED. HE LAID OUT BIFF IN ONE PUNCH. I
DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD IT IN HIM. HE'S never
served a bip in his life. change his
whole high school reputation in one
punch.
>> No. WHY? WHAT'S THE MATTER?
>> ALL RIGHT, [laughter]
LET'S SEND YOU BACK AT EXACTLY THE SAME
TIME.
>> I've calculated the precise distance,
taking into account the acceleration
speed and wind resistance from THE
MOMENT THE LIGHT STRIKES. When this
alarm goes off, you hit the gas.
This could be such a boring scene, but
they're adding wind and making them
scream and it's like making it so
intense.
>> I know. [laughter] Cuz the storms are
brewing.
>> Yeah.
>> In about 30 years.
>> I hope so. As long as YOU HIT THAT WIRE
AT PRECISELY 88 mph, THE INSTANT THE
LIGHTNING STRIKES THE TOWER, EVERYTHING
WILL BE FINE.
>> It sounds improbable.
>> It's information. THE FUTURE COULD BE
DISASTROUS. THAT'S A RISK YOU'RE GOING
TO HAVE TO TAKE. YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON
IT.
>> I REFUSE TO ACCEPT the responsibility.
>> Oh, the wire.
We don't have a lot of time either.
>> YOU GET THE CABLE. I'LL CALL THE ROOM.
>> I GOT IT.
>> DANG. When lightning hit the tower, I
thought that he was going to make the
lightning hit the tower and like use it
as like a conduit or something, but it
turns out it was just a storm.
Dog, [screaming] I have to tell you
about the future.
On the night I GO BACK, YOU get
>> that's like that that
>> just like in the beginning. Yeah. I keep
picturing you stuck on top of the Waffle
House screaming for people to come get
you and they couldn't hear you.
[laughter]
>> They just waved
>> like, "Huh?
You got less than 4 minutes.
Oh, that's a sick shot
>> with the lighting.
>> Yes.
>> Careful, Doc.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Do you think in the 80s they thought
this guy was cool?
>> Hell yeah.
>> Like he was just like the coolest like
>> why did he get this part?
>> Damn it, Doc. Why did you have to tear
up that letter? I got all the time I
want. I got a time machine. I can just
go back early and warn him.
Okay, 10 minutes ought to do it.
>> Messing up the plan.
Not this time. Come on. [groaning]
>> Oh shoot. Oh my god. He caught it with
his toe.
>> No, it's really like that clock.
>> Incredible dexterity though.
>> Nice.
>> Oh no.
Oh, nice.
>> Well, let's go.
>> Oh, come on.
Come on, dude.
>> No.
>> Oh, no.
>> That is not good at all.
>> [music]
>> Oh my god, he's going to go 88 right
through.
>> Oh, this dude is a beast. Oh my god.
Come on. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Oh,
>> so lucky.
Oh,
>> that was unbelievable.
>> But they tore up the town. [screaming]
Uh-oh. Whoa. WAIT.
>> I was about to say that wasn't 55. Hey,
why does that homeless guy look
familiar? Does he look familiar?
>> It's a church now.
>> Everything looks great. 124. I still got
time.
>> They're headed there.
>> Yes. Should have had the spikes. [music]
>> Long time all. Did you see that? Oh.
>> Well, this is crazy as hell.
>> I know. [music]
>> Whoa. Whoa.
>> He look like he was diving off the damn
boat, didn't he? With his life jacket.
Die.
What the hell?
>> What if he wore a bulletproof vest cuz
the letter?
>> But he ripped the letter up.
>> Oh, yeah. True. I forgot you're alive.
>> You must have put it back together or
something.
>> I I never got a chance to tell you.
>> Hey, what about all that talk about
screwing up future events, the
space-time continuum?
>> I figured. What the hell? [music]
Hey, fair enough. I mean, if you just
wait like, you know, a couple days
before.
>> So, how far ahead are you going? Go
>> ahead and make your plans and just
a
>> nice round number.
>> Look me up when you get there. All
right,
>> I will.
>> A
I'm going to go face your parents
awkwardly.
>> The sleep position's okay, but sleeping
in blue jeans is diabolic.
>> I know.
Well, if Paul calls me, tell him I'm
working at the boutique late tonight.
>> What the hell is this?
>> Breakfast.
>> Are they richer?
>> It seems like it. They're upgraded.
>> I always wear a suit to the office.
>> I think we need a rematch.
>> A rematch? WHY WERE YOU CHEATING?
[laughter]
>> NO.
>> MOMMY, you you look so thin.
>> Thank you, Marty.
>> George.
>> Damn, George.
>> Oh, MARTY, I ALMOST FORGOT Jennifer
Parker Club.
>> Oh, I sure like her, Marty. She is such
a sweet girl.
>> So different.
>> Well, aren't you going up to the lake
tonight? You've been planning it for 2
weeks.
>> See, there's Biff out there waxing.
>> Oh my god, you're right.
>> Uh, Biff, I want to make sure that we
get two coats of wax this time, not just
one.
>> I'm I'm sorry, Mr. McFly. I I meant I
was just starting on the second coat.
>> Yeah, Biff, what a character.
>> He's part of the tracksuit mafia now.
>> All you have to do is punch him.
>> You knew he was going to work for him
because brilliant continuity, right?
Unbelievable.
>> I'm excited just arrived. I THINK IT'S
YOUR NEW BOOK. OH,
>> HONEY. Your first novel.
>> Like I've always told you, you put your
mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
>> Because of what happened to him,
>> the car he said he was going to own one
day.
>> Toyota.
>> How about a ride, mister?
>> Oh, you a sight for sore eyes.
>> Marty, you're acting like you haven't
seen me in a week. Is everything all
right? Everything is great.
>> Marty,
YOU'VE GOT TO COME BACK WITH ME. BACK to
the future.
>> Wait a minute. What are you doing, Doc?
>> I need fuel.
>> Oh, he's invented that
>> a compost thing.
>> So that way he doesn't have to have all
that uh
>> here. Okay, we're going to take the new
truck for a spin.
>> Well, bring her along. This concerns
her, too. What happens to us in the
future? Do we become or
something?
>> No, no, no, no, no. My kids. It's your
kids, Marty. Something has got to be
done about your kids.
>> Oh, that'd be so stressful.
>> I don't even know my kids.
>> I'm like, dang it.
>> Doc, we better back.
>> Hey, did you see the license plate?
>> What did it say? I didn't see it. It
didn't look like it said anything.
>> That's cuz it's a future. They tried to
show you that.
>> Well, we're going. We don't need [music]
roads.
>> Okay.
Okay,
>> stop.
>> This is like the Matrix with Neo.
[music]
>> That was just like The Matrix, the
ending. That was good, guys. That was
like a 10. Unbelievable. All right,
guys. Unbelievable movie. Some really
iconic characters. We had Lorraine,
George, the Doc, obviously, and Marty
McFly. Um, better known as Calvin Klein,
which is hilarious because of the
underwear, which um
>> you thought they were writing the name
on the underwear a lot. my name would be
Old Navy. That's what that's what you
call me. Um, and guys, that was a really
good movie. I thought it was brilliant.
The continuity in this movie was
unbelievable. And it was like kind of
predictable in a sense that like
everything that was playing out became
easy to guess like if they give you
continuity kind of like in the end where
Biff ends up working like the total
inverse of the dad, you know, and that
just makes for such a like really fun
movie. I'm really excited to watch the
next one. You know what? It kind of
reminded me of like like a now kind of
movie weapons a little bit.
>> How so?
>> Just because like it was just the it was
like told in a we in a way where you
could like kind of predict that the X Y
and Z that's happened because of this.
>> Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. So I don't know.
>> It was a really easy movie to follow is
I think what I'm trying to say. And I
didn't really have to have a um a PhD to
understand the movie which I also
appreciated. Um,
>> I like simple time travel movies where I
don't have to be like knowing all these
paradoxes.
>> Yeah, exactly. Like, uh, there's a few
that come to mind. I guess the most
famous would be like The Godfather
Paradox and [music] stuff, but this
movie was pretty straightforward. But um
I think the movie had a lot less to do
with like uh time travel and science and
stuff and it had a lot more to do with
just like social dynamics and like life
lessons of like growing up and
adolescence and like cause and effect
you know and um you know cause and
effect really kicked us in the mouth at
the end of the movie because Marty's dad
ended up being a straight baller. He
looked like he was straight from like
>> he looked like Veto Coral Gordal. He
looked like he was one of those uh
Orange County dads like from California
or something, you know, like he won a
big mansion. And it's just funny because
all the confidence that he gained,
[music]
you know,
>> all because of Marty.
>> Yeah. Like through his son, you know, it
ended up changing his whole entire life.
And confidence is just something that
you project, right? It's not something
that like
it's not really I guess it's just
something that is like it's all mental,
right? And that can really change your
life. like putting yourself out there
and not being all shy and stuff, you
know.
>> Sorry to interrupt you, but the question
I have is so they they do know Marty
like they met Marty [music]
>> back in the day, but they don't think
like that guy strikingly looks like that
cool guy we met with a life vest.
>> I don't know.
>> That's the part I'm a little like that's
the questions I have. But I know I don't
want to overthink it, but like all time
travel movie makes me do that.
>> Well, time travel is theoretical at this
point. As much as some of us want to
believe it, but not saying that I do.
I'm saying maybe you do.
>> What if he looked so much like that guy?
That's why they named him that.
>> Yeah, maybe.
>> But as a baby, I don't. It's hard to
>> It's just funny to think that like if
you were able to go back in time, you
really could influence culture, you
know? Like I always thought if I could
go back in time like I would take like
the 20 greatest songs from like I don't
know maybe like 1970 to like maybe like
2010 maybe like the top 50 songs and I
would just be known as like the greatest
musician. They would call me like
>> No, you suck.
>> I mean I wouldn't really do that. I mean
I don't really think about that but I'm
thinking about that in terms of the
movie. I would I would definitely uh I
would sports gamble. That's what I would
do. I'd be like, "Yeah, I think uh
believe it or not, guys, believe it or
not, the final score of the 2007 Super
Bowl is going to be 14 to 17, the New
York Giants over the New England
Patriots." And then I would also bet
that in the following Super Bowl, not
the next year, but the year after when
the Patriots played the Giants again, I
would also bet that Tom Brady's first
play from scrimmage would be him
throwing a safety in the end zone at the
f the first play and then going down two
nothing in the Super Bowl cuz I would
bet like $1,000 on that and just be
like, I'm just going to throw something
out there and I'd make so much money
>> cuz that's what happened. It was
>> I would make like psychological Tik Toks
humbly. I would be the first person to
do YouTube. [laughter]
>> You know what I mean?
>> Yeah.
>> But what's up, guys? My name's Hogan
Paul. [laughter]
>> What if you just What if you're Mr.
Beast and you just took all his stuff?
He like had you had [laughter] like
>> chocolate bars and stuff.
>> Oh god. I don't I would never want to be
that guy. I feel like he's got way too
much going on in his life. I'm a family
guy. I'm never going to be that. I just
I my priorities aren't that. I'm trying
to raise my family. Mr. Beast is all in.
I'll give it to him. People like that
are awesome.
>> But like long story short about this
movie, it was just so wholesome because
no one in their life gets to say they
were there to like see their parents
like fall in love and
>> and to like spend time with your family
as they're like adolescence in their own
house and
>> I feel like I would literally hate my
dad.
>> He would be such a douche the guy in the
back of the truck throwing bricks at
people.
>> Yeah. Like dude like he would swing the
baseball bats at the mailbox. I'm like
come on.
>> One thing that killed me though with
Marty's dad is like dude he's been
sitting there h getting you with a look.
[laughter] He's been doing that since
high school and you're still falling for
it.
>> Yeah, your shoes tied. Like you probably
don't even get get a new joke.
>> At some point I'd have to hit his ass
with a brick. I'm not even going to lie.
You can only bully me so much. I think
I'd mentally snap.
>> I know. He He was like bullying him in
life and then immediately it shows him
like he's doing his full homework for
him. I'm like [music] this guy has been
running all over you for 30 years. I
like getting bullied would suck, but
like I would rather get bullied like by
a new age bully where they're all like
calling you cuss words and cussing you
out and being like you're so this and
that.
>> Garrison just got a haircut and he said
he goes to school and gets clowned. It's
like
>> I tried to explain to him he's in he's
in sixth grade so he just started middle
school. But I tried to explain that it
doesn't matter if you're Justin Bieber,
dude. If you get a haircut, people are
going to like make fun of your hair.
That's just what kids do. You know what
I mean? Um
>> really I used to like pray people when I
would get a haircut. I'd be like, "Oh, I
hope someone notices. cuz I hope they
say something.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. No one would ever say anything.
>> Such a different life when you're a
girl. When you're a boy, [laughter]
you're just trying not to get your spine
separated by neck slaps. They're like,
"Oh, your head is skint."
[laughter]
So different.
This movie was a trip, man. I thought
that um the concept of the movie was
really fun. Obviously, I thought the
town, like the prop town, was so
charming. It was so cool. It was almost
like one of those posters or like one of
those pictures you would see at like
Hobby Lobby. I like how it had a square.
>> Yeah. Well, yeah, that part was cool.
Like, we live in Georgia and a lot of
towns here have squares. I mean,
>> Donna is one in particular.
>> I know. I know towns have squares. Like,
duh. I know that towns have squares all
around America. I get that. But I'm just
saying like that's something that was
like really big, particularly in our
region. Um, and I just thought it was
beautiful. It looked like one of those,
you know, like those uh like Route 66
posters or something where it's like the
garage and everything's all neon lit up.
This movie and this town was like that.
And I honestly just thought that
This movie was so rewatchable because I
could literally watch the the key lights
with the different neon colors flashing
off the car, all the neon lights in the
background flashing off the skin tones.
It was just a beautiful movie. I really
think this movie was just a work of art
in that way.
>> I think it was a marketing genius. And I
say that because like you could you and
your kid could watch it and you would
both have nostalgia.
>> Oh, 100%.
>> Like back in the 80s. You know what I'm
saying?
>> Yeah. Those movies are always fun. Yeah.
I thought the dock was great because
like that one time he like broke the
fourth wall and he like looked at the
camera and then went [laughter] and then
like looked off. That part was so cool.
>> Yeah, the doc was like my favorite part
just because he kind of reminded me of
Kramer on Seinfeld.
>> They did just enough to make him like
>> kooky but not crazy.
>> Like he was wacky but trustable
>> but sane. Like he was wacky but sane.
That he he did just enough. Like you
could tell that like he's been shocked
in the outlet too many times probably.
Yeah. But uh but you know um I was
thinking when he got shocked then like
fix them.
>> Yeah.
>> You know what [laughter] I'm saying?
>> Fix them.
>> And then all and then it begs the
question if you could literally go back
in time and change things and then get
back to the Well, I guess if you went
back in time with the intention of
changing things because you had the
desirable outcome, then I guess that
just, you know, gives the answer to the
question. But hypothetically, if you
could snap your fingers and wake up
tomorrow to a reality that's better than
your reality, it'll be completely
different, but you know it's going to be
better, would you do it?
>> That That's a hard question because like
we know all these answers. Like we could
literally go dive in front of John F.
Kennedy's bullet with a bulletproof vest
and be the hero for like ever, but like
none of us are going to do that. But
like that is a really good question. But
no, I wouldn't change anything. What
about you? I don't think I could jump
and dive in front of John FK's bullet.
But yeah, I'm saying you'd have to time
that better than this movie.
>> But I'm not trying to be like I'm not
I'm not trying to be like that. I'm
saying like maybe you could have went up
to Abraham Lincoln and been like, "Hey,
>> you could have been like duck.
>> It's canled, bro." Like the the the
movie theater, it's not running today.
>> Okay, you're being dark over here. Like
people from getting their heads,
>> but you know what I'm saying? Like you
could I'm just saying they're historical
events. Like
>> why are you trying to alter history?
Like, [laughter] how do you know, dude?
If you do that, who knows? Like,
>> what if I went up to in 1776 and signed
the document as me?
>> You're taking [laughter] Get out of
here.
>> You're taking things to there. You
wouldn't be able to drive there. You
probably You wouldn't [laughter]
>> My horse would be running around the
>> Your your horse would hit a curb and
break his leg.
>> Stop. [laughter]
>> And then you wouldn't [snorts] be able
to back talk me when I tell you.
[laughter]
>> You can't be hitting the curb no more.
>> It's okay. I'm signing the independence
and you're not the declaration.
>> I just don't think I I don't think I'd
risk it. Like if I knew I could change
things and things would be better
hypothetically. I I I'm so good in my
life, man. I don't think I would change.
>> But what if it was like something just
yesterday like let's say you broke your
toe today and you could just fix you
could just like not step in that spot.
You would still break your toe. Why? It
builds character.
>> Well, it just you know every I've broken
my the reason she said broken my toe
guys cuz I've broken my toe several
times.
>> He breaks his toe every time he goes
outside barefoot. Cuz I run. I get hyper
and run. I'll hit my toe and it'll just
be hanging off my foot.
>> But you just put a little tape on it.
No, you just break the toe and then
you're good to go.
>> Okay. What if it was something as simple
as like you just had an at bat? It was a
bad at bat. Would you go back in time
and like redo that?
>> No, cuz I'd be batting a thousand cuz
[laughter] that I'd be abusing that
>> You sound like my dang dad.
>> I'd be the best hitter of all time.
[laughter]
>> They like he just won't miss. Johnson,
every single home run's a every single
at bat's a home run dead center.
[laughter]
I'd break every record. I'd have 14
Super Bowls.
>> Okay. So, you would abuse it is what
you're saying. [laughter]
>> That's like if I was Spider-Man. If I
was Spider-Man, I'd play wide receiver.
Like I'd be I'd be bringing in like 24
million a year
>> and the crowds would come [laughter] cuz
they'd be like, "What in the world?"
>> I know. They would think I was
different. Unless I was uh unless I was
Tom Holland and then I'd have to play
slot receiver cuz [laughter] he's short
as hell.
But if it was me, I'd be playing on the
outside.
>> What if it was the Toby Magguire
version?
>> He'd be playing quarterback [laughter]
with his little nerdy ass. He ain't
about to be
>> Wait, why why are we digressing? It's
Back to the Future.
>> I just had a lot of fun with the movie,
guys.
>> It's thoughtprovoking in a fun way,
though.
>> I just sometimes when I just This movie
just put me in a good mood. It just made
me want to talk with my wife. Hope you
guys appreciate that. But guys, I guess
we're going to get out of here. We will
be back.
>> We do that a lot in our free Sorry to
interrupt you, but we do that a lot in
our free time. We like just shoot the
whatever you want to call it.
>> Please tell them your [laughter]
>> She don't use phrases like that.
>> Didn't Didn't you say something?
>> No, I knew you were going to bring it
up. Stop. No, my son told me. Stop. My
son said it.
>> Miss October said
it. No, my son said it. I was copying
him.
>> All right, guys. Like, comment,
subscribe, hit us up on Patreon if you
guys had fun with the movie. Let me know
in the comments if you guys like the
lighting in the video. I know you
probably can't tell at all, but if you
do watch our movies a lot or if you do
watch our videos a lot, you probably can
tell that the lighting is different. Um,
>> I look like I'm a soul sucker in this
one, though. I'm not even going to lie.
So,
>> I like the light. [laughter]
>> Okay, we got to get off here.
>> Yeah.
