to Christ. You know, I I just think that
whatever I go through, you know, until
the time that, you know, I'm called
home, I'm okay with that. Double cancer
at one time. And they said, "Oh, that's
so, you know, I'm so sorry." I said,
"No, that was the best thing since
sliced bread."
>> Mhm.
>> Because that's what brought me to
Christ.
I said, I was the one who sent that
question about the football.
>> Mhm.
>> Um
the reason why I sent it is cuz I had a
question.
I really didn't believe in it. And the
reason why I say that, well, I was just
in the hospital just recently and uh
>> Mhm.
>> Um
a person came with some oil
and a prayer cloth and, you know, said,
"Well, you know, anoint yourself daily."
And
and pin this to your shirt or whatever,
piece of cloth or whatever.
>> Mhm.
>> And but um it was a family member, close
family member, and uh
um I didn't want to hurt her feelings,
you know,
because
um
I'm a believer, but
I just didn't [clears throat]
you know, in my reading of the Bible,
you know, I just didn't see
where that was applicable to
um
present day, you know, um
>> Mhm.
>> you know, I have a lot of health issues
or whatever,
but, you know, when I go through these
things or whatever, you know, my thing
is is just, you know,
um
my faith in God, you know, um you know,
I had double cancer and uh
2 years ago, man, uh
uh
that was that's what had brought me to
Christ.
Was that
>> Can you hear me?
>> Yeah. Um
he actually told me I had I was going to
be diagnosed before the doctors told me
and um
um
you know, and that was my beginning of
uh
my
journey with the Lord. So,
um
because of the chronic conditions that I
have,
you know, I never
get down about it. You know what I'm
saying? I just figure,
you know, um
if the Lord want to keep me here,
then I'll be here. You know what I'm
saying? And
um
when it's my day to meet him, then it
it'll be my day to meet him. I I I don't
believe that me anointing myself daily
or you know, doing [clears throat]
something special other than living my
life for Christ
and you know, having him at the head of
my life is
is what it's going to be. You know what
I'm saying? I I I know I have a
designated time, you know, to me, you
know, I feel like I'm on extra time.
>> Mhm.
>> Because of uh
uh surviving the double cancer or
whatever that I had. So,
I just figure, you know, the Lord is
just going to continue to use me until
it's my time to come home, you know, and
and I
I don't think nothing's going to
interrupt that. You know, I just feel
that special something doing something
special is not going to keep me alive or
or
uh necessarily keep me
faithful to the Lord. You know,
>> When people are healed in the the
there's always there's there's one
element, definitely, but sometimes two.
It's our faith, but not always our
faith. Sometimes it's um
the sign or the power in whatever God is
however God is showing himself, like you
see the the aprons and the handkerchiefs
and things like that. But all of those
things would be to point to God, right?
And if if a person um when Jesus said,
"Your faith has made you well," it's cuz
you're pointing your faith is pointing
you to God. I believe you are the one
that's going to do it. And so
um but after that
um we're not promised to be healed of
everything or really, truth be told, any
physical infirmities. It might be that
God want I'm not saying in this case I'm
not I'm not saying that. But for some
people it it has been and is that God is
using you to be a wonderful example of
how to be godly while still suffering,
sometimes suffering in silence,
sometimes suffering openly because the
faith that you exhibit while going
through that
what do you think he's going to do? How
do you think he's going to How do you
think he's going to treat you or reward
you? Because again, our goal ain't to be
here. I'm not trying to have a mansion
here. I'm not trying to be to living I'm
not into living
high off the hog here. My goal is to
live there forever. This ain't my home,
you know what I mean? And so
>> Yeah, I think that my my
You know what?
Um
Before I got sick
I made $92,000 a year as a truck driver.
Now that
uh
I'm disabled and I can't work and
the Lord I had I live better now than I
ever have.
>> Mhm.
>> Um off of way less than you know, I made
and
um
I just think that you you had a video
today
about the questions that we should ask.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Um about how
the Lord
sometimes allows us to go through
things.
>> Yeah. What if everything is better?
>> Yeah. Yeah. For the benefit of others to
draw them to Christ. So, you know, I
you know, I I just think that whatever I
go through, you know, until the time
that, you know, I'm called home, I'm
okay with it, you know?

>> Um you know, somebody asked me while I
was in the hospital and when I told them
I had double cancer at one time. And
they said, "Oh, that's so, you know, I'm
so sorry." I said, "No, that was the

Christ.
The cancer, um
and my wife,
which is a total 'nother story, but
>> Mhm.
>> just just just to add this in.
Me and my wife, I was supposed to get
married when I was 18.
We separated.
30 years later in a loop,
she was the one
that witnessed to me
about Christ.
And
uh her and my daughter,
uh my first daughter, and
>> Mhm.
>> I told them that I
I said, "I'm going to hell and I'm proud
of it."
>> Mhm.
>> They kept getting on my nerves
witnessing to me. So, I told them to
leave my apartment.
And they went and prayed.
Four weeks later,
uh six weeks later,
I got a uh kidney stone,
which led to my diagnosis of cancer.
>> Mhm.
>> So,
it was her
witnessing to me that brought me to
Christ and
of course, you know, God telling me
about my cancer and everything else that
and all the things he told me that would
happen that brought me to Christ and uh
I love God.
I could never go back.
Never ever ever ever.
Because he
he's just awesome and um
but that's that was the main question I
wanted to ask because to me
I just didn't believe. You know, I
about whole night and yourself every day
with oil up and up like that was
supposed to be like a special
shield over you or something, you know,
and
you know, I just
I just didn't see
>> You already have what you need. You have
all that you need and you just don't
know just just your testimony is a
blessing. The people who who aren't
going through half of what you're going
through and it encourages people. You
don't have to go through what you're
going through to be encouraged, but
there are those that are going through
what you're going through who will be
encouraged, but those of us who don't
who aren't going through the the
physical things that you're going
through are encouraged. Man, that's the
that's the kind of faith that I have.
Um that's faith right there. That's
loving God.
at your worst
>> You know what's really good
is that um the Lord and with my first
cancer
my kidney was removed.
And the right side. A year later
the Lord told me that I had cancer
again.
It was on the left kidney.
>> Mhm.
>> And took half of that kidney.
But it works like a whole kidney.
And I have no dialysis. Mhm. Diabetic,
[clears throat]
I got heart condition.
Different things, but
that's what to me that's where the power
of God is at.
You know what I'm saying? And I I I just
try to tell people
you know, for somebody who used to think
that God can use them.
You know, like you said, my story helps
other people. And your story helps
people because of what you went through,
how the Lord brought you through. You
know what I'm saying?
Through your time, you know, that you
asked for things going in your life and
where he's brought you from and to where
he's going to bring you to.
You know, and
I I I really think God that, you know,
uh
that you break down the word and you
show people exactly what the word is and
it's not your own opinion.
It's what the word of God says and
that's what it's all about, the word of
God.

Man, listen.
>> But I won't eat up too much of your time
>> You listen, you you took up just enough.
You are You are That was perfect. That
was perfect. Father God, I just ask you,
Lord, that you would just touch our
brother Jeffrey
and that people who would hear this,
Lord God, that his faith would resonate
uh in them. They may not be going
through the same thing or they may be
going through worse. Don't know.
Um he's got all sorts of problems, but
Jesus is not one. And so we thank you,
Lord God, for his awesome
uh demonstration of faith.
And we God know that whether or not you
heal him physically, spiritually he's
