This Is NOT the Horror Movie We Expected! | Tucker & Dale vs. Evil | Movie Reaction
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video reaction centers on the film *Tucker & Dale vs. Evil*, where two hosts watch the movie without prior knowledge of its plot twists to explore a central theme of misunderstanding. The story introduces Tucker and Dale, two friendly but socially awkward men from West Virginia who are mistaken for a murderous duo by a group of college students. Clad in work clothes and wielding tools like axes and scythes while wearing a "Giver" hat, the pair attempts to be hospitable at their dilapidated cabin, only for their appearance and mannerisms to trigger immediate fear. This initial setup highlights how prejudice and stereotypes can cause innocent people to be perceived as terrifying threats simply because they do not fit societal expectations.
As the narrative unfolds, the situation spirals into chaos through a series of tragic accidents rather than malicious intent. The hosts accidentally kill several individuals, including a police officer, by misinterpreting actions such as using a wood chipper or digging graves intended for friends who have passed away. Despite these fatalities, the college students remain convinced they are being hunted, illustrating how fear and bias can blind people to the truth even when presented with evidence of kindness. The film humorously depicts this escalating conflict, noting that both sides are equally at fault; the students refuse to give grace or understand the characters' intentions, while Tucker and Dale struggle with their social anxiety and lack of communication skills.
The core message of the movie is revealed as the hosts discuss how judging people by their appearances leads to unnecessary tragedy and misunderstanding. The film satirizes the harshness often found in real life and on social media, where individuals are quickly labeled based on limited information or stereotypes, such as mocking Tucker and Dale for calling a carving fork a pitchfork. Through absurdity and dark comedy, the story demonstrates that fear can be self-fulfilling and that listening better and offering grace can prevent conflicts from escalating. The reaction concludes by praising the film for tackling serious themes like prejudice and social anxiety while remaining hilarious, ultimately encouraging viewers to improve their relationships by giving others the benefit of the doubt.

>> I've never even heard of this movie.
Like, don't get me wrong, the
suggestions throughout like the
suggestions I've heard of this movie,
but a lot of the times we watch these
like Top Gun for example, like I've
heard of Top Gun several times. It's
been brought up and stuff, but I've
never heard of this movie at all. So,
this is about as blind as it gets. Yep.
>> All right. This is kind of like on
Pokemon, the original Pokémon game when
you go into the the bat, the cave with
the Zubat.
>> No.
>> Yeah. You don't got the flash yet. You
guys know what I'm talking about. All
right. Let's watch this.
>> Let's go.
>> Are you sure we should be doing this?
This is still a crime scene.
>> Back up, Billy. It's called
investigative journalism for a reason.
You know, the police missed something
here. I can feel it. You won a Peabody
award. Look great up ON YOUR
>> [screaming]
>> OH MY GOSH.
>> Is that the evil?
>> Yeah, I guess so.
Okay. West Virginia.
>> People have their opinions about West
Virginia.
>> Oh [ __ ]
>> Who does?
>> Oh, they're just like common ones that
are obviously not [snorts] true.
>> No, a lot of them are true. Chad, just
cuz you're not in your future doesn't
mean that freaks.
>> Well, it actually does. Allison, you see
you're [music] either Omega Beta or
you're A FREAK.
>> OMEGA BETA.
>> HEY, CHUCK, speed up, man. They're going
to pass us. Oh jeez. Wa. Jesus.
>> Bear. [laughter]
>> That guy's got a real staring problem.
>> WE FORGOT THE BEER. [screaming]
>> NO,
>> HE had some. [laughter]
>> This feels like the Texas Chainsaw
Massacre or something.
>> Yeah,
>> guys, I love West Virginia. Beautiful.
There's a lot of poverty and stuff up
there though. [clears throat] You ain't
born to that.
>> Can I help you?
>> Where's your beer at?
>> Beer's in the back.
>> Why don't you look for it first? I would
think that's weird.
>> Why is it so creepy?
>> 3/4 in nails, hacksaw,
bailing hooks, brush clearing sides.
>> What? [laughter]
>> Condo,
hand drill.
Stone B.
Excuse me. [laughter] Let's get out of
here,
>> man. I'd have been out of there.
>> Yeah. We need anything else?
>> Pick a leg.
>> Six pounder.
>> Oh, hot dog Tucker. Have you ever seen
anything like that in your life?
>> Just your average college girls. Nothing
average about that.
>> You know something, Dale? She's just
human. Why don't you go over there and
talk to her?
>> What in the world would I say?
>> Tell her that she got a vacation home.
That'll probably impress her.
>> These are college girls, okay? They grew
up with vacation homes and guys like me
fixing their toilets. [laughter]
>> Girls can smell fear now. Come on.
>> Yeah. Get over there, big guy.
>> What? What's the worst that could
happen?
>> She can say no. That's it.
>> You're right, Tuck. I'm going to do it.
>> All right. Just smile and laugh. Oh,
he's [laughter] got a siphon.
>> I know. He looks like a dang psychopath.
>> You guys uh going camping? [laughter]
Smile and laugh.
>> We don't want any trouble. All right.
So, just
Okay. Okay. [laughter] Okay. I'm sorry.
He's a good looking cooler. Uh
>> a He just got misunderstood.
It was creepy. It was creepy.
>> His hat says giver. He's a
[clears throat] giver, not a taker.
>> I'm a zero with the ladies. They hate my
face.
>> They hate your tactics.
>> Yeah, they hate the scythe. The scythe
ain't cutting it.
>> Literally.
>> I always get all stupid. My hands get
clammy and I just act like a big fat
idiot. You got an inferiority complex.
>> No, I don't. [laughter]
>> I think it's that he eats pickled eggs.
>> That's true, I reckon.
>> Oh [ __ ] What are you doing? We got a
cop.
>> But the beer falls in.
>> The cop's head [laughter]
over.
>> Oh no. Awkward.
>> You think they're going to get
misunderstood again?
>> My hand is stuck.
>> Unstuck it. Then he's got him out of his
car. He's out of his car.
>> He's out of his car.
and his shirt open. [laughter]
Sorry, officer.
>> He says, "Give her."
>> It's a beautiful day, isn't it? I lost
my wallet a couple weeks back. New one
is in the mail.
>> Where are you two headed?
>> We are headed to our vacation home up by
Morris Lake.
[laughter]
>> He's been striking out with the ladies.
I figured a little man time might do him
some good.
>> This awkward
>> up there, but pain is suffering on a
scale you can't even imagine.
>> Oh, shoot. I pulled you over cuz you got
a broken turn signal.
>> Oh, get that fixed.
>> That was very helpful.
>> He said there ain't nothing up there but
pain and suffering.
>> They said that dude's weird.
>> He was jealous cuz he can't afford a
place of his own.
>> Was that it? [laughter]
>> Pretty good life, man.
>> That's kind of wholesome that they just
want to go drink beer together at their
little spot.
>> That cop thinks they're about to be
doing all kinds of stuff in that cabin.
I love how they switched shut the
characters on us. That was cool.
>> Creepy.
>> It looks fun, but considering this is a
horror movie, that looks creepy.
>> Feels like meth has definitely been done
in there.
>> Oh my god. It's perfect. And what they
call this, a fixer upper?
>> I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS OURS. OH MY GOD.
>> It says keep out on the door.
>> It's just a little dusty is all. It's a
mansion.
[laughter] Now, whoever used to live
here must have been a an archaeologist
or something.
>> Yeah, my ar Yeah. Must have been a real
news junkie, too.
[laughter]
>> Chili Dog Depot. Buy three, get two
free, no expiration date.
>> All right,
>> that's a good deal.
>> But that's what you got from that.
[laughter]
>> Dreams really do come true.
>> Oh, I thought that killed him. Oh my
gosh.
>> You have a reoccurring dream about
[ __ ] a dick, but you never do it. Are
you gay?
>> Yes.
>> Yes. [laughter]
>> Hey, that's that guy from No,
>> she's the man.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Now, do you [ __ ] want to hear a real
story?
>> Okay.
>> Has he got a wristband on?
>> Feels like Leon. No, we don't want to
hear
>> right here. It was 20 years ago today.
What the [laughter]
>> how a bunch of college kids they came
out here to have a good time. They
weren't the only ones in these here
woods.
>> Dang. They were having a good time.
[laughter]
[music]
>> Oh god.
>> Uhoh.
>> Put that back on.
>> No. This is cool. This is cool. I like
this.
Oh my god. What a throw.
Oh my gosh.
[music]
>> She's going to TRIP
>> or jump to her.
>> It bothers me that that's a duo.
>> Only one person lived to tell this story
and their bodies are buried beneath us.
>> There's a lake back there. Who wants to
go skinny dipping?
>> I do. Let's go.
He said, "I [laughter and snorts] do,
didn't he?"
>> And he pointed to him. It was like,
"What the heck?"
>> That's okay, Tuck. You You take that.
That's yours.
>> That's why you're never going to get in
life. That's cuz you don't stick up for
yourself.
>> Do not even think about it.
>> But you just said, "You serious?"
[laughter]
>> I said, "Don't even think about it,
though." So that was the last thing I
said.
I like them, but they're like dumb and
dumber, aren't they?
>> This movie so far is hilarious.
>> God, Chad, what the hell are you doing?
You're such an [ __ ]
>> Oh my god, his name is Chad.
>> Of course it is.
>> You know, you can drop the act now.
Like, you're better than everyone else.
>> I don't know.
>> Yeah, you do. But that's okay, Ally,
because I get it. You are better than
everyone else.
>> Oh, God.
>> You and I, Ally, are cut from a
different cloth. You know what I mean?
I'm
You're
>> That's a good thing. It lowers my
inhibitions.
[laughter]
>> Let's talk about this later. I'm going
to go catch up with everyone.
>> Do you think he popped his collar before
or after he started drinking?
>> I think it before.
>> HERE WE GO.
>> WHAT IF I DID THAT?
>> Don't do it.
>> What's that all about?
>> I think we should go check it out. I
think y'all should stay away.
>> Oh my god, they look so creepy on me.
[laughter]
>> That's dangerous at night.
[screaming]
>> Isn't that right?
>> What is the matter with you?
>> When you see a college girl prancing
around in front of you half naked, you
do not yell out my name.
>> You are hopeless. Do you know that
you're hopeless?
>> She didn't come up yet.
>> Oh no,
>> lady.
>> I feel like they're about to get blamed
for this.
>> I know.
>> And that guy's going to hunt him down.
>> I think cuz they just told that ghost
story, they're going to think it's the
two people.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Oh my [screaming] god.
>> We got your friend.
>> [laughter]
>> We got your friend while the hell
they're running away. Hey, don't matter.
Tuck him. We got to get him back to the
cabin. Come on. Let's roll.
>> Oh god. [laughter]
>> Oh my god. And he can throw axes.
>> I told you he's going to be like the kid
on Stranger Things. Remember [laughter]
>> Hillbillies or hillbillies?
>> Hillies from the store.
>> Sprung in action. Boy,
>> hillbillies.
This is a trip.
>> This movie is funny. Oh, she's alive.
Thank goodness.
>> A
[laughter]
Why does he have to walk like that,
though?
>> Don't Don't cry.
>> Don't go. [laughter]
>> It's a pancakes. YOU HATE PANCAKE. I'M
I'LL GO TO MAKE YOU SOMETHING ELSE. OH,
>> it's not that he's walking crazy
particularly. It's just that she's
perceiving him as walking crazy because
of her own like prejudices, you know.
>> I guess I am too then. [laughter]
>> Chuck, tell them what you saw. Well, it
was really dark, but it looked like one
of the guys was eating her face off.
>> That is so disgusting.
>> They're on bat salts.
>> We don't need the police. We can handle
this [clears throat] on our own.
>> No, no, no. What if I go?
>> Fine. You want to go, Chuck? Then just
go.
>> I'll be back, Mr. I swear. THAT'S SUCH
[ __ ] WHERE IS HE GOING to go?
[laughter]
>> It's just a cabin. It doesn't mean
they're psycho killers.
>> Then why don't you go in there and talk
to them?
>> Maybe I will.
I said maybe. [laughter]
>> The music is so perfect.
>> Oh,
I still can't get over his hat. It says
giver.
>> Please don't tell me that you hate eggs
and bacon. The dog's like,
>> "What am I doing here?"
>> Me and Tucker, I mean, uh, uh, I and
Tuck.
>> Well, Tucker and I br you here last
night.
>> Why?
>> You were about to go swimming with your
friends and then you climbed up onto a
bunch of rocks and you slipped and fell
and banged your head and then you fell
into the water and then I dove in and
rescued you.
>> You were spying on us?
>> No. No. What? No. I swear to God. No.
No. We were out there fishing and I
didn't we didn't see I didn't I didn't
see maybe Tucker might have seen a
little
>> Oh no hush.
>> They ran off.
>> They they just left me.
>> Yeah, but don't don't be mad at them.
Some people just aren't any good in the
crisis and that's why Tucker and I br
you here.
>> I br you here.
>> I didn't I didn't have any girly
clothes. So
>> it's okay. I I never really had much
fashion sense anyway.
>> Me neither. [clears throat]
>> I'm sorry. I'm sorry about all the mess
around here. You know, this place and uh
you know, I'm sure it doesn't look like
much to a a high class girl like you,
but uh [music] you know, we always just
had sort of a dream.
>> What's your name?
>> My name is Dale.
>> I'm Allison. My my friends call me Ally.
>> Oh, it's a real pleasure to meet you,
Ally. Son,
>> he said son.
>> Do you guys have anything to to do
around here?
>> Do you like board games?
>> What kind do you have?
>> Got this one right here is my favorite.
Trivia up.
>> Trivia up. That's your favorite board
game. You're going to be good at that.
>> So, they're becoming friends.
>> He's going to be like a a vassel of
knowledge.
>> And walk, [ __ ]
>> He's going on like the maintenance man
shirt.
>> Goddamn Romeo.
>> They're just interacting normally and he
just thinks that's so impressive.
[laughter]
>> Uh-oh. Bad sign.
bees.
Are you going to be swinging that thing?
[laughter]
>> He looks like Leatherface. [laughter]
>> But the truth is he's a doofus.
>> Yeah.
[screaming]
>> Oh my god.
>> That's how I am when bees are hit me
though.
I hope he doesn't actually
Oh, did he just get stabbed?
>> He just killed himself.
>> Another misunderstanding.
>> Oh, and then he gets stung. Anyways,
probably.
>> I think he understood in the end. Damn,
buddy.
>> Here we go. Big roll. Five.
>> Cursed land for real. Who was the fifth
president of the United States?
>> Oh, that's too easy. That's James
Monroe.
>> Oh my god, you were right again. You are
killing me.
>> I got this weird brain where I'm dumb as
a stump, but I remember everything that
I ever heard.
>> I barely even made it past the third
grade.
>> Oh, that doesn't mean anything. There's
a difference between education and
intellect.
>> There is truth to that.
>> What is it that you study in college?
>> I'm getting my bachelor's degree in
psychology.
>> Oh, Bo. [laughter]
I just think that so many of the major
problems and conflicts in the world are
caused by a lack of communication, you
know.
>> Yeah.
>> Like this whole situation.
>> Hey. Hey. Oh my god. Tucker. What
happened to your face? I swallowed into
a beef nest. Why?
>> Well, I didn't do it on [laughter]
purpose, you idiot. And I might have
avoided if you were out there helping
me.
You said why? [laughter]
I came out here to work.
DON'T SIT AROUND PLAYING STUPID BOARD
GAMES.
>> HEY, how about I come over there and I
pull those stingers out of your face and
I'll help you with whatever you want.
>> All right, I'd like that. Thank you.
>> Okay.
>> A
saw your friend out there. He must be
allergic to bees or something because he
was running like a bat out of hell.
>> I should go out there and find him.
>> No, no, that's No, you need to rest. We
We'll go find your friends. You should
relax. Tucker and Dale are on the case.
Ain't that right, Tucker?
>> Come on.
>> They're not letting her leave. She's
going to get suspicious and see that
body, I think, and think she's
kidnapped.
>> Be careful, okay? My friends can be kind
of judgmental.
>> I know. I'm going to let Tucker do most
of the talking anyway. He can win over
just about anybody, can't you, Tucker?
Real people person.
[laughter]
>> He looks so scary.
>> They killed him, man.
>> They left his body here as a message.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh,
[laughter]
would you [ __ ] quit it with this
thing, okay? It doesn't work out here.
[laughter]
>> This guy is so over the top.
>> Survival of the fittest.
[laughter]
Quick, somebody's coming. Oh [ __ ] Oh
[ __ ]
>> Man, I would have got my hatchet.
>> I love how they're running so scared of
them. [laughter]
>> I know.
>> College girl like that and I was beating
the crap out of her.
>> You beat the crap out of everybody.
There's something wrong with your brain.
>> I know. You keep telling me that. When
we get back, I'll finish her off real
quick and then we'll get back to work.
Okay.
>> They're going to kill her.
>> He's talking about the game. Let me
finish her off. [laughter]
>> What was you thinking?
>> I just thought he was going to kill her.
I mean, I don't REALLY KNOW.
>> COLLEGE [screaming] KIDS.
>> HEY, COLLEGE KIDS.
>> COLLEGE KIDS.
>> MAYBE WE could leave them a note in case
they come back.
>> With what?
>> Well, this will work. [laughter]
>> Careful.
>> I'm going to have to etch it in.
So they're going to think there's a
message for them. [laughter] A creepy
message.
>> We got your
>> cuz they're just country bumpkins and
that's how [laughter]
>> Well, it also takes a lot of time to
carve that. I'm sure. Shortcuts, you
know.
>> I got my kish. You think that girl is
hot?
>> Do you guys have my friends?
>> Uh whoa. Your friends? No. No. We left
them a note. They should be by here any
minute.
>> What are you doing?
>> Uh oh. I'm digging a [ __ ] hole.
[laughter] I'm digging a crap crapper
hole. It's a It's a hole. It's for the
[ __ ] house. Crap house.
>> You mind if I help?
>> What?
>> No, no, no, no, no. It's not work for a
pretty for a girl like you. That's Oh,
>> they're going to be like she's digging
her own gra.
[laughter]
>> We got your friend. [laughter]
>> Yeah, you're doing a good job.
>> Thank you.
>> I think they're kind of friends now.
>> I think so.
>> That sick [ __ ] He's making her into our
own grave.
>> God, you scare me.
>> There is no way.
>> You guys going around the witcher.
>> Oh no. Please no one go in the witch.
>> I'm just right here.
>> Good idea.
>> Oh, good. Look, your friends are here.
Hey. [screaming]
[groaning]
[screaming]
>> Oh no.
>> Oh my gosh. At least she's seen that.
This freaking guy.
Oh my god.
>> Ew.
>> Are you okay?
>> Oh, you know better than that.
[laughter]
Oh my.
>> I thought about that happening to me,
guys. My dad has a tree company, so he
has a lot of chippers and I've used it a
lot. One of my biggest fears, there's a
safety bar you can grab. But
>> some kid, he just hooked himself RIGHT
INTO THE WOOD CHIPPER. WHAT? HEAD FIRST
RIGHT into the wood [laughter] chipper.
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to her? What? Oh,
she got knocked down, fell into the
[ __ ] hole right next to me. One of
those suckers came running out of
nowhere and speared herself straight to
THE GUT AND DIED ON TOP OF ME. TUT,
>> IT'S going to look They look cursed from
their point of view.
>> Yeah. From their point of view, they
look like some cursed. Yeah,
>> I know what this is.
>> What?
>> This is a suicide pact.
>> What? These kids are coming out here and
they're killing themselves all over the
woods.
>> Oh my god, that makes so much sense.
>> We have GOT TO HIDE ALL OF THE SHARP
OBJECTS.
>> YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE, TUCKER? I think
they're trying to [laughter] kill her,
too. That's why they acted so funny
after we saved her because they want her
dead.
>> I hope they don't break in there, cuz it
makes them look even crazier.
>> Call the police.
>> Yeah. Tell them what? Oh, I I would tell
them what happened.
Oh, howdy ho, officer. [laughter]
There we were minding our own business,
just doing some chores around the house
when kids started killing themselves all
over my property. [laughter]
It doesn't matter what happened. What
matters is what looks like what
happened. And what LOOKS LIKE [laughter]
WHAT HAPPENED is pretty nasty.
>> We got to clean this mess up.
>> Oh my god,
>> this movie is hilarious. I mean, it's
sad that people died. Okay, I'm not that
heartless. But
>> what the [laughter] hell are you still
doing here? How are we going to get out
of here? Dick Wad over here sent Chuck
off with the truck. Well, then let's
walk. [laughter]
>> 40 miles.
>> Maybe you should have thought of that
before you wore your stripper shoes.
>> [ __ ] I would start walking.
>> Are you sharpening any of that?
>> You guys are all a bunch of [ __ ]
[ __ ]
>> Oh god.
>> I mean, a few little tiny murders and
everyone just freaks out. But do you
know how lucky you all are?
>> What the [ __ ] are you TALKING ABOUT,
MAN? [laughter]
THERE'S NO RULES OUT HERE. IT'S us
against them. And if you don't think you
can handle that, maybe you deserve to
die.
>> Oh my.
>> He is tripping. He's acting like he
still won't get charges.
>> Y'all hear that?
>> The [laughter] police. I'm going to come
on you guys and go.
>> Wait, who invited this guy? You know
what I mean?
>> He invited all them.
>> Your friends are probably fine. Probably
just a little misunderstanding, that's
all.
>> OH GOD.
PUT HIM IN THE BACK SEAT AND we'll go
have a look.
>> Don't go have a look. Drive him out of
there.
[screaming]
>> Oh my god.
>> We're still dealing with that.
>> The cops going to pull up. I know. I
know.
>> Sorry. Better not charge me for this.
>> It's like Fargo.
>> Yeah.
[groaning and screaming]
>> Get off me. Get off me. Get off me.
>> Don't drag it.
>> This is gory.
>> Might as well finish grinding them up at
this point.
>> I know. Oh god.
>> Let me do the talking. That's a good
idea.
>> You can't stay put.
>> It's not what it looks like.
>> We've had a doozy of a day. [laughter]
>> There we were.
>> Yep.
>> Uh minding our own business.
>> Yep.
>> When all of a sudden, out of nowhere,
these kids
started killing themselves all over my
property.
>> Yeah, he dove head first right into the
wood chipper.
>> There's another one who shoved a spear
THROUGH HIS GULLET. NOW, I don't know
how much experience you've had with
this,
>> but we were scared shitless.
>> Scared shitless.
[laughter]
>> That it looks so bad. It looks so bad.
>> But what is he going to say?
>> Think that I'm some kind of [ __ ]
Believe story like that. No, sir.
>> Not a [ __ ]
>> Not openminded.
Mhm.
>> You say you were just working when this
kid ran up and stuffed his head into
that wood chipper?
>> That's a fact.
>> That's a fact. They might be trying to
kill the girl that we have inside.
>> She can maybe explain the whole thing if
I hadn't knocked her unconscious with a
shovel.
>> Oh my god. [laughter]
>> You've got another one inside. And And
you say she's unconscious? [laughter]
>> Like shut up.
He seems kind of calm, right?
>> Don't go in there.
>> Right this way. Sure.
>> They're horrified.
>> What's he doing?
>> What's that point? What is that?
>> Why did he [ __ ] arrest them? [music]
>> Well, she's alive.
>> At least she's not brain dead.
>> Oh, thank God. I told you boys to stay
away from this place. Officer, do we
look like a couple psycho killers to
you?
>> Yeah,
>> looks can be deceiving.
>> No, no, no,
>> NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. WA!
NO,
[screaming]
>> I WAS EVEN WALKING RIGHT NOW, SON. HE
LOOKS LIKE HE'S going to walk it off.
He's going to be fine.
[laughter]
>> Oh my god.
>> Tyler, I told you we should fix that
thing. [laughter]
Oh my god.
>> Oh, they're going to get the gun.
>> [ __ ] you. You [ __ ] No. No. No.
>> You got to take the safety off on the
side there.
>> Don't look at the barrel.
>> Oh, DON'T. [screaming]
>> They said take you got to take the
safety off the side there. He told him.
>> He's a dumb dumb. [laughter]
>> I don't know.
>> None of this would have happened if it
wasn't FOR YOU. FOR BEING SUCH A GODDAMN
GOOD SAMARITAN. OH MY GOD, SHE'S
DROWNING. HELL, IS SHE STILL ALIVE? OH,
HALLEL [ __ ] [laughter]
>> none of this would have happened if we
hadn't have gone fishing. [laughter]
I DON'T EVEN LIKE FISHING. YOU DON'T
like
>> Oh, that's rude.
>> What the I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Tucker.
Did I hurt your feelings?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, no.
>> Where's all this ammo coming from?
>> Where's Jangers?
>> [sighs and gasps]
>> No,
>> not Jangers.
>> Hey, Hill. Your move. A
>> Did you bring that nail gun in here?
>> Yeah. Why?
>> Imagine trying to tell the judge. You're
like, "Judge, this all happened cuz he's
just such a good guy." You know what I
mean?
>> Oh my god.
>> I ain't never shot at nobody before.
>> Think of him like moving 2x4s.
>> Oh,
I'm sorry.
>> That's aimed right at his throat.
I'm going to go out the back door. Try
not to shoot me. Okay, I'll try. All
right.
>> I would not believe him.
>> HEY, KIDS. YOU WANT SOME OF THIS?
>> Where'd the dog go?
>> He thinks that's hiding.
>> Well, apparently it's working.
>> HOW YOU LIKE THAT, COLLEGE KIDS? HOW'S
THAT TASTE? PLAY THAT CAME FROM. BUNCH
of fakes.
[screaming]
Jesus, Dale,
>> he was having fun with that. [laughter]
>> YOU SHOOTING US AGAIN AND YOUR DOG'S
DEAD.
>> IF YOU KILL MY DOG, I SWEAR TO GOD.
>> Let's go.
>> I DID REALLY, REALLY BAD.
>> [laughter]
>> AT THIS POINT, I'M JUST dying to know
how this movie ends. Like, are they
going to go to prison or what?
>> I don't know. They killed a cop at this
point. I mean, there's no way you can
You have no evidence of nothing.
>> Are you saying they have so much
evidence against them?
>> Yeah.
>> Circumstantial, though.
Did he just really try that?
Oh god, please no.
>> This has turned insane wrong with you
kids.
>> What is the matter with us? I've never
stood so close to pure evil before.
>> It's payback time, Hillbilly. Let me go.
I can get my cooler. Hey, I got 10 to 12
beers in there. They're yours.
>> NO.
[screaming]
>> He doesn't deserve it. No. I feel so bad
for him.
>> I know. This is such a big
misunderstanding.
>> Damn.
>> This is crazy. Thank god we're
recording. This reaction has been awful.
>> What happened?
>> I can't really say. It was so awful.
Oh god, I'm embarrassed. I'm sorry.
>> Just let it out. It's okay, right?
[laughter]
I want you to take a deep breath.
>> No. Tell me what happened.
>> Do some of your friends take medication?
>> Why?
>> Because I think they forgot to take it.
[laughter]
>> I It's [clears throat] like all your
friends just decided to go nuts all at
the same time. [laughter]
>> I remember I I saw
>> Yeah. At first I thought they were
trying to kill you and then they started
killing themselves and then they tried
to kill us and now they're going after
my dog.
>> Oh,
>> he's so emotional about it.
>> No, there there must be some kind of
mistake. My my friends would never hurt
anyone out there
until they kill all of us until
>> Nobody wants to hurt you.
>> It sure sounds like someone does.
>> I'm going to go talk to them. Okay,
>> Elsa, don't you know what it's like out
there?
>> Oh my god.
Oh my god. It's going to be his hand or
something.
>> Why did he even bring that in there?
>> Did you see them?
>> No.
>> What is that?
>> OH MY GOD.
>> OH MY GOD. CUZ THEY CUT OFF HIS BOWLING
FINGERS.
>> Not his bowling fingers.
>> Now we got your [clears throat] friend.
How long was I out for? [laughter]
>> A few hours. She's like, "How did they
turn into this?"
>> My best friend needs to get these kids.
>> They must [laughter] have thought that
you were trying to harm me.
>> Oh, and why would they think that?
>> Uh, when we first saw you guys back back
at that store, we just thought that that
you looked a little creepy.
>> I was nervous. I I don't know how to
talk to girls. And
>> No, D. I I know that now, but we didn't
then.
>> You thought that I looked like some kind
of freak.
>> I'm I'm really sorry.
>> I should have known that if a guy like
me talked to a girl like you, somebody'
END UP DEAD.
>> [laughter]
>> DALE, DON'T STOP. WAIT,
>> TUCKER, are you out there?
>> Not in the hat.
>> God damn stupid college kids. [laughter]
>> I'M COMING FOR YOU, BUDDY.
>> LIKE, imagine how dumb he probably
thinks that guy is. Like, holy [ __ ]
[laughter] Freaking idiot.
>> Yeah. H.
[ __ ] you're trapped.
>> WHAT?
>> Oh no. Oh no. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.
PLEASE. Oh god.
>> Oh, I never thought I'd say this, but
I'm glad I'm not hung like a bear.
[laughter]
That's funny. That kid has got some
serious issues.
>> I know. Wait.
Sorry about that. This vacation sucks.
[laughter]
>> When they go in there, it's going to be
hilarious cuz the murder like newspaper
[clears throat] clippings.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. They're going to like
some freaks
>> and like the bones ain't this place.
[laughter]
>> This is where evil lives.
>> What are you guys doing? We're saving
you stupid. Let's go. Why are you
whispering? There's There's no one else
here. Oh,
>> what have they done to you, Ally?
>> They haven't done anything to me, Chad.
This has all been a huge
misunderstanding.
>> He's going to think she's brainwashed.
[laughter]
>> No, CHAD. NO, CHAD, STOP. THIS IS THEIR
vacation home.
>> Oh, [laughter]
>> Tucker and Jill do not mean to hurt
anyone. They're They're really nice.
>> You have no idea
what this is all about.
>> No, he's just laring right now. He's
having fun. Tucker and Dale have been
nothing but gentlemen to me this entire
time.
>> They started this by doing what? Saving
my life. [clears throat]
>> I remember reading about this in my
sociology class.
>> Here we go.
>> It's called the Stockholm syndrome. When
someone who's been kidnapped ends up
falling in love with their kidnapper.
>> The what? This is
>> Tell me you're not falling in love with
that freak.
>> This kid doesn't listen at all, does he?
>> You don't understand.
>> Well, are you or are YOU NOT IN LOVE
WITH HIM?
>> WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?
>> TELL ME.
>> WHOA. Let the girl go. Are you okay,
Ally? Did he just call you Ally?
>> Wait, wait.
[laughter]
>> Nobody wants to hurt anyone.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. You could have fooled
me.
>> [ __ ] off, Hillbilly.
>> You [ __ ] body perm. [clears throat]
>> Wait, [laughter] wait.
>> Body,
>> how about I make some tea and and we all
sit and and talk this out.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, this sounds like a good
idea. I'll provide the finger
sandwiches.
[laughter]
>> Sit here. Okay, mister.
>> He's hilarious, though. Like, I know
he's supposed to be like
>> He's like the guy on Scaryable. Yeah. He
really reminds me of that kid from
Stranger Things for real.
>> I want you each to tell your side of the
story. As you're listening to the other
person, I want you to see yourself in
their shoes.
>> She's using her psychology major.
[laughter]
>> Chad, why don't you start?
>> Well, where should I [ __ ] begin?
>> Wherever you'd like.
>> Before I was born.
>> Okay, maybe not that far. This is
important.
>> Oh god. [laughter]
>> You see my parents, they were attacked
by hillbillies just like him.
>> So this goes deep.
>> I was here for
>> everyone just for fun.
>> So he's out there on a revenge arc.
>> My father was helpless and he didn't
even know that she was pregnant with me
yet. But my mom, SHE FOUGHT BACK AND she
escaped. But my father wasn't so lucky.
Dang. His body was never found. And
>> he's got rage inside.
>> By the time I was born, my mother was
already institutionalized. I grew up
hearing that story from my grandmother.
>> Thank Thank you for sharing with us,
Chad.
>> That was so intense.
>> But like, what's that got to do with
them, though?
>> He said it generationally goes deep.
>> And Chad said they were gone longer than
15 minutes. We come in guns blazing.
>> Oh no. [laughter]
I
>> feel like they could have been 40 mi
away by now.
>> He said we come in guns blazing.
>> I am really sorry that your family got
massacred. I didn't have anything to do
with that. [clears throat] It may not
have been you, but it was definitely
your kind.
>> Who? Billy.
>> Can I Tucker? I can't even hurt fish.
>> That's right.
>> He don't even like fishing.
>> So, now that you've both expressed your
side of the story, how do you feel?
>> I feel better. I feel [sighs] I feel
like awake. Yeah, I feel good.
>> Y'all didn't say nothing.
>> IT'S SHOW TIME, FREAK.
>> UH-OH. NO. OH, DANG.
>> I guess the pharmacy time's over.
>> He said, "Why didn't he go?
>> Go back to hell where you belong,
freak."
Sometimes I feel like the YouTube
audience treats us like these
hillbillies.
>> I know.
>> Y'all are from Georgia.
>> No. No. Don't use that.
[screaming]
>> Oh my god.
>> Oh man. I liked him. He was my favorite.
[laughter]
>> Oh no.
Oh my god.
>> Oh, she's gone.
>> Help me.
>> Get off me.
[screaming]
>> Y'all just got to drive away from that
forever. For life. Never come back.
>> You're killing.
>> Dang, man.
>> I'm a terrible therapist.
>> What? No. No.
>> I thought you did a great job in there.
>> You never let them talk about the fact
they didn't kill each other's friends on
purpose. There was no misunderstanding.
[laughter]
>> Uh, guys.
>> Yeah.
>> Confirm your kills.
>> Oh, he was that thing in the beginning.
>> Oh my god. [screaming]
>> Never mind. Let's go. Uh-uh. Maybe we
should help him.
>> Do not bloody. DO YOU WANT TO DRIVE? BE
CAREFUL WITH THIS. THIS IS the only
thing I've got.
>> He's not going to catch them. He is way
too slow.
A
>> what?
>> How do you wreck? Dude, that's the only
thing he had left and he wrecked it.
>> I STOP NOW, BOY. ALISON,
>> DID he take him?
>> She's gone. [ __ ] What happened?
>> You took her. I tell you something,
Dale. It's going to be a long time
before I take a vacation again.
>> Oh [ __ ]
>> Yeah, he lost two fingers.
>> People like me and people like her just
don't mix.
>> It's not true.
>> It is true. Do you remember when we was
a kid and we used to go catch frogs down
at that creek? How we used to compete to
see who could catch more?
>> Yeah, I don't think now is the time to
talk about it. Tucker,
>> I used to tell you that I let you catch
more than me because I felt sorry for
you.
>> I remember you used to let me lick them
all, too. [laughter]
I always made me feel kind of funny.
[clears throat]
>> Licking the toad.
>> You caught him on your own. You was
quicker than I was. What I'm trying to
tell you is that you're better than you
think you are. I've seen the way that
the two of you look at each other. I
think that she really sees you for who
you are. Who knows? Maybe after this is
all done, you two can date. I doubt it.
That's what I'm talking about. I don't
want any more negativity.
You're smart and you're strong and
you're not as ugly as you think you are.
>> Thank you, Tucker.
>> Life is short.
>> I know.
>> You got to go after what you want. She
needs you now more than ever. Especially
cuz she always falling down and hitting
her head.
>> Okay. But I don't even know where he
took her.
>> Jengers went out.
>> Jeners is like
forever. Best [music] friends forever.
>> Don't go.
>> Poor guy.
>> That hurt very much.
>> I can tell. [laughter]
>> Kick the [ __ ] out of that little college
[ __ ] for me, would you?
>> I'm going to shove my boot down his
[ __ ] throat.
[laughter]
>> Dang. And they've been at it all night,
right?
>> Uh-oh.
>> Good boy, Jeners. Good. Good boy.
>> Good boy, Jengers.
>> What is the matter WITH YOU?
>> YOU'VE GROWN HUMANELY on me, Allison.
Now, I'm willing to forgive you, but
you're going to have to beg it.
>> Turned into Harvey Too Faced over here.
>> So, you have to be more passionate than
that.
>> Chad, please.
>> THAT'S THE STORY.
>> PLEASE, JUST STOP.
>> I'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN.
My face would be hurt and I don't think
I'd be in the mood for all that. [music]
>> I'll show you a killer hilly.
Oh,
>> he's got on his climbing spikes.
>> Oh, his welding cap.
>> He looks like our neighbor across the
yard. [laughter]
[screaming]
>> It's just me. Hey, it's okay.
>> D, [gasps] what are you wearing?
>> Oh, I thought it might look kind of
intimidating.
>> Thank you for coming for me.
>> It's no big deal. I was I was headed
over this way anyway, so
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You better hurry
up.
>> How sweet. The dimwitted hillbilly is
trying to save the girl of his dreams.
It's time to say goodbye to the girl.
You shouldn't have betrayed me, Alison.
>> Use the saw or whatever that you have.
>> The chainsaw.
>> I don't know, man. That's risky. Can
nick her, but I would use that. Probably
let her get cut with this.
OKAY. [screaming]
ARE YOU OKAY? HUH? Because I didn't mean
to.
>> Oh, let's go.
>> Uh-oh.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> No way.
Oh,
he believed in himself.
>> Wow. Do I do
>> to feel my pain? Bring it.
[laughter]
>> They're acting like swordsman.
>> Yeah.
>> Feel bad for that blade though. The
chains getting all kinds of dull.
>> Go get up there. Oh Jesus. Ice Christ.
That kid is tough as nails. [laughter]
Kind
of looks like no one's been here for a
while.
>> Yeah,
>> he really has survived a lot, believe it
or not.
>> This might work, huh?
>> That little plastic bath.
>> Oh, he can't drink that. Remember?
>> Yeah.
>> Look at the guy in the middle.
>> He looks just like that Kentucky Fried
College kid down there.
>> Yeah,
>> that was his dad.
>> Single survivor leads police to the
Memorial Day killer. [music] Survivor is
reported to have been tortured and
raped. She's now undergoing psychiatric
evaluation. He said his mother was
captured in his father.
>> His father's body was never found.
>> I think we just found him.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Time to die, FREAK.
FIGHT. FIGHT. CHAD, [music] you're a
hillbilly, too.
>> That's your real father.
>> No. No.
You're half hillbilly.
>> Oh, damn. Chad,
>> you're a halfling.
>> They lied to me.
>> [laughter]
>> Everything is alive.
>> Oh my god.
>> What' you do?
>> I am fem snowbillis.
>> What?
>> That's the ingredient in chamomile tea
that can cause an anaphylactic reaction
in rare cases where people are allergic
to it.
>> Trivia. [music]
>> Like I said, I remember weird stuff.
>> But he'll be okay as long as we get HIM
HIS INHALER.
OH.
>> OH.
>> WELL, he kind of deserved it.
>> The door. They were never here.
>> Do you have teeth? Do I got any teeth?
>> Teeth are clear.
>> That's you before we record.
>> What appears to be a tragic mass suicide
involving a group of mentally unstable
college kids may in fact be the work of
a lone deranged killer whose body is yet
to be found.
>> That's perfect.
>> Hey buddy, how you feeling?
>> I'm feeling high on prescription
medication.
>> Yeah,
>> they found my fingers.
Check it out. That was a girl's finger.
>> I don't remember that one looking that
way. [laughter]
>> That looks natural. It's good.
[laughter]
>> Oh, buddy. That's a PBR, buddy.
>> That's a big beauty. It's cold, too.
There you go.
>> Did you ask her out for God's sake?
>> I was going to, but then I never
actually got the chance. So,
>> Dale, you were hopeless. You know that
you're hopeless.
>> No. She kind of mentioned to me that
she's a pretty darn good bowler. So,
we're going bowling.
>> That's why he's got the shirt on.
>> You little [ __ ] I'm out of here.
>> Hey, don't be rubbing it in cuz he can't
bowl anymore.
>> Yes, he can. They fix his fingers.
>> He's going to have a little finger.
>> I guess it's just beginner's luck.
>> That girl has got an amazing shot
bowling finger.
>> I know. [laughter]
>> You have to go after what you want
because it sure as heck fire ain't just
going to fall right into your lap.
>> Shut your rack.
>> I know. talk to her.
>> Okay.
>> Don't be nervous and just be yourself.
Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Look at him giving motivational.
>> I hope you don't think this is too
stupid or whatever, but I got you a
little something.
>> That's so sweet. You don't have to do
that. Oh my god.
>> It's a helmet.
>> I think you know it might just be better
you wear that every day from now on. So,
>> okay.
[laughter]
>> Cuz she's always getting knocked down.
>> I'm really sorry about everything that
happened.
>> What do you mean for what? I had a great
time. I just You know what? Let me let
me just let me just say this cuz I don't
know if we're ever going to get to spend
this kind of time together again. And I
just wanted to let you know that I
>> feel the same way.
>> BJ,
>> WHY did he hit her? What the hell?
>> I guess he's going after what he wants.
Oh my god. What the heck? I guess the
stereotypes weren't all stereotypes
after all.
>> [laughter]
>> I'm just kidding. All right, guys. That
was Tucker and Dell Versus Evil. Babe,
what did you think about that movie?
>> I just feel like it was a movie that
embodied misunderstandings.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Like the ultimate misunderstanding
movie.
>> Yeah. Yeah, that movie was really
clever. Um, [music] it really tackled
that very common theme that we all
experience in our life, right? Just the
good oldfashioned misunderstanding and
like uh
>> and judging books by their covers.
>> Yes. So, like I guess if this movie was
trying to make a statement, I guess the
point it would be trying to make is uh
never ever ever go to West Virginia.
>> No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
I think the point is trying to make
obviously is uh don't judge people. The
the prejudices that we have, the
misconceptions that we have of people in
a lot of ways can often lead to a lot of
misunderstanding. And we'd all be better
off if we would just get to know each
other, try to give each other a little
bit of grace, try not to assume the
worst about each other. Sorry to
interrupt you, but going along what
you're saying, the movie said it is true
and sometimes not true.
>> Oh, it is true. I'm not about to sit
here and be all Mr. Rogers on y'all. A
lot of people, you know exactly what the
[ __ ] you getting into. Stay away from
them. If if uh if your gut tells you
that you're probably right, you're
probably right. [laughter]
Um but this movie really tried to uh
play on that theme of just
misunderstanding, right? And um
>> and and it made it hilarious.
>> It was so funny. Yeah,
>> it was hilarious on both sides cuz both
sides are misunderstanding each other.
>> Yeah, cuz like if I'm the college kids,
like if I open the thing and the guy's
like like you would think that was weird
if that happened to you like you
wouldn't like that.
>> And the way they just said we got your
friend like can you just say it like
with a little more like I don't know
>> we got your friend.
>> Yeah. Verb it differently. [laughter]
>> Like hey we helped your friend. Yeah. My
thing is like uh a lot of social anxiety
and a lot of like angx and a lot of
things like that led to a lot of really
poor socially awkward decision-m that
really gave the other party an
opportunity to just fill in the gaps
with whatever preconceived notions they
could possibly fathom. And it just led
to one of the most
>> extremely over-the-top movies I've ever
seen. And honestly, it was so much fun.
And I really like our characters. Like
Dell was so wholesome and just kind of
like such a nice guy. And there's a lot
of people that are like that. Just you
would think they look scary, but they're
just some of the nicest people. But at
the same time, like, who's got time to
sit there and just assume everyone's an
angel? You know what I mean? It's like
get yourself freaking murdered. So,
>> um [music] I mean, I guess that's why
you just have to make a good first
impression. That's why first impressions
are so important.
>> Don't walk up with a scythe.
>> Don't misconrue people. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah. And that one of the biggest
things about society I noticed though is
no one gives anyone grace at all. Like
we see that on our YouTube channel. Like
we'll say something like and people will
take it a certain type of way and
they'll I don't really know a good
example, but they'll take something we
say a certain type of way because they
just weren't willing to give us any
grace at all. Like the other day when
you called a um a carving fork, we
called it a [music] pitchfork and
somebody explained to us that it was a
carbon fork and they told us that we're
stupid cuz we thought it was a
pitchfork. That that's not them
misunderstanding us. They just weren't
willing to give us any grace and try to
understand that we were just trying to
make a joke. And I feel like uh the
world's like that a lot, especially on
social media, the internet. And it's
just funny cuz this was like that in
real life. And when it's when when life
is is as absurd as the internet is, it
comes out hilariously
>> like that.
>> You know what I mean?
>> So yeah, I thought it was crazy. The
funniest part of the movie to me was how
that guy just hopped straight in the
chipper. Like he just dove straight in.
Like
>> I my my favorite part was when he said
they're like coming at us and killing
themselves. [laughter]
Like from their point of view, they were
like coming up and just like murdering
themselves.
>> Yeah. [laughter] But like if you're the
college kid though, like dude, I would
be freaked out by two dudes in the
woods. Like
>> they look I mean it looks like what
people think hillbillies are like scary.
They'll eat you like
>> And it's funny because they're like
college kids. So like they go to college
and so you know what they teach you in
college? They they're taught that like
if you're just two dudes from West
Virginia and you like to hunt and stay
in a cabin, they look at you as like the
craziest type of person also. So they
other you so hard. So this whole movie
was just really funny how it touched on
that like social dynamic. So [music] but
if my ass was hiking through the woods
and I saw a cabin and some dudes in
there
>> and especially they they bought the
sketchiest cabin of all time like
>> I know it was like a rundown [ __ ]
that was like I know. Yeah. Yeah. So, I
guess that cabin had all those newspaper
clippings and stuff because of what?
>> It was a fixer upper. Or it could have
been the person before is like
>> their obsession.
>> Yeah.
>> Or maybe the psycho serial killer dad
maybe stayed there or something. Yeah.
>> But it seems like somebody would have
took that property cuz the state ain't
going to let a good property go to
waste.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I don't know. But yeah, really good
movie, guys. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
If there's any more themes or something
that we missed, uh, chances are I
probably didn't miss, but I just get
cringed out talking about the themes and
stuff in movies cuz sometimes I think
it's corny. But, um, if there's anything
I did miss, please let me know. But,
that's the way I perceive the movie. I
really enjoyed it. I thought it was so
much fun to watch. Just a big
misunderstanding.
>> Yeah. And I think the thing I'm going to
take away is like next time Mrs. October
is getting on my nerves, I'm going to
just try to give her as much grace as
possible, which I do. And I'm going to
always just try to make sure that I just
take an extra second to listen. And I
feel like we do that, but when we were
younger, we didn't do that near as well
as we do now. So, and the fact that
we're able to give each other more grace
now than when we were younger, I feel
like that really helps our relationship.
Like, seriously. Do you think so?
>> Yeah.
>> I feel like it really does. Just not
attributing bad motives to each other
and just understanding that, you know.
>> Yeah. But yeah, try to work on that,
especially if you're younger than us.
It's something I used to struggle with
when I was younger, for real. So, I feel
like that movie embodied it and I really
enjoyed it. We're going to see you guys
on the next
