Cinaldo has been recognized with the Carabao Cup player of the round award following his impressive hat-trick performance against Preston, which secured a 4-0 victory for Everton in the second round of the competition. During the presentation ceremony held at Finch Farm, he received the distinctive green trophy while wearing the club's new third kit, a choice that sparked some curiosity regarding its selection despite him not having worn it during the match itself. This achievement marks a significant moment for Cinaldo, who had previously experienced a brief scoring drought, and there is now high anticipation for him to end that mini-drought when Everton faces Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
In other youth development news, the Everton Under-21s secured a win against Hartlepool United in the National League Cup, continuing their successful campaign in this tournament where they face non-league opponents rather than full Premier League sides. Alongside this victory, 17-year-old Arthur Barratt has officially signed his first professional contract with the club after joining from Chelsea earlier in the summer. These developments highlight the club's ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent and integrating them into the senior setup through competitive matches against men's teams, providing valuable learning experiences for players like Rocco Lambert and Barratt.
Transfer rumors continue to swirl regarding Anthony Martial, who is reported to have rejected offers from two French clubs this summer despite speculation about a potential move to Everton. Reports suggest that both Martial and other interested parties are taking a measured approach ahead of the upcoming three-week international break, with no rush to finalize deals immediately as they consider options across Europe including Italy and Spain. Meanwhile, Everton scouts were observed at Porto's recent match against Manchester City, reportedly keeping an eye on potential targets such as Erling Haaland and various young fullbacks and strikers who are currently on the club's radar for future recruitment needs.
Looking ahead to the January transfer window, the club aims to align its business strategy to address specific squad requirements, particularly in the center forward position and potentially at fullback. While the current activity level may seem low compared to previous periods, the upcoming fixture against Spurs is expected to generate increased momentum and discussion surrounding the team's plans. As Everton prepares for these critical challenges, fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates that will likely emerge as the club moves closer to finalizing its transfer objectives before the winter break concludes.

Welcome to Toffee TV. It is the Everton
news daily. Cinaldo has been awarded the
Carabao Cup player of the round for his
hat-trick at Preston in Everton's 4-0
win in the second round.
He was presented it today at Finch Farm
and and wore the green kit, the new
third kit. Not sure why they put him in
the third kit.
Not 100% sure. He didn't wear it on the
night.
Don't know.
Maybe it's just to go with the lovely
trophy, the lovely green trophy. I'm not
sure, but
um
obviously they were
Bally's last goals. He hasn't scored in
the last couple and hopefully he ends
ends that mini drought on Saturday
against Spurs. Everton under 21s beat
Hartlepool United last night
in the National League Cup round two.
Rocco Lambert getting the goal. This is
the
uh this is the second
of the uh tournaments where the under
21s step up to play um essentially
men's teams. The other one um obviously
they play
more league teams. This one's more
against um teams that play in
non-league, but it's always a good
learning and care for them. It's good
that they got uh the win last night.
Staying with the under 21s, Arthur
Barratt has signed his first
professional contract with Everton. The
player [snorts] signed from Chelsea in
the summer, a 17-year-old. Uh very
highly regarded and he signed his first
contract. So, well done to him.
Anthony Martial reportedly has rejected
two French clubs this summer.
Uh obviously there's been talk of him
coming to Everton,
but uh
don't know much more than that right
now. Obviously the people are putting
two and two together. Um so, maybe he is
waiting. We see this.
And uh
this is obviously something if you
see the interview with Seamus Coleman.
Obviously another player has contacted
this
player has just given themselves that
little bit of time. There's no real
rush.
They know there's there's a three-week
international break coming up as well.
So, these players are probably thinking
don't rush into anything and a club will
probably come to them and Anthony
Martial will probably think be thinking
the same and
probably be thinking that maybe a
Premier League team or um maybe a team
in Italy, Spain will come in for him.
So,
he is uh on there
uh having no panic at the moment to sign
for a club. And Everton scouts were at
the Porto game last night where they
were beaten 2-0 by Man City. Maybe they
were scouting Haaland. I don't know. Um
maybe they didn't recognize him with the
hair, but there was a number of young
fullbacks
and uh strikers on Everton's radar
according to reports. So,
um Everton obviously need to get
themselves in that position for
January. Essentially, certainly for the
center forwards and maybe for a fullback
as well. So,
they're getting their business um
aligned hopefully
for January, but we'll we'll wait and
see on that. There you go. Not loads
going on, but I think that will change
with the Spurs game coming up.
Uh there'll be a little bit more going
into that game. So, give this video a
