Video summary
The video provides an in-depth look at the newly announced "Classic Forever" expansion for World of Warcraft, which is set to launch with a beta starting on September 17th and a full release on November 4th. The primary focus of the discussion is the significant overhaul of racial abilities across all factions, revealing that Blizzard has buffed these features rather than nerfing them as many players anticipated. The host expresses concern that making the racials so powerful immediately before launch suggests the game might be considered "done," yet the sheer strength of these changes indicates a major shift in balance philosophy for the upcoming content.
A major highlight is the introduction of the new High Order Skyborn race, which brings unique mechanics like "Walk on Air" allowing players to glide downward and a passive ability that increases health and mana regeneration by 100%. Existing races also receive substantial adjustments; for instance, Humans gain a massive 2% critical strike chance increase, while Dwarves see their base specialization damage boosted by an additional 5%. The Orcs are given immunity to curses and banes alongside increased attack power during Blood Fury, and the Undead retain their fear removal but add a new ability to regenerate health by consuming corpses. These changes collectively make racial abilities feel stronger than ever before, with some specific buffs like the Troll's rapid regeneration being described as an "insane heal."
The video also touches upon thematic design choices, such as the shift from resisting stuns to reducing their duration for certain races, and the return of movement speed bonuses similar to those seen in the Alpha phase. While the host notes that some new portraits look less appealing than the vanilla versions, the mechanical changes are the central topic of excitement and debate. The discussion concludes with a mix of awe at the power levels, particularly regarding the Troll's regeneration and the Skyborn's utility, leaving viewers to wonder how these broken-feeling racials will be managed in the live game environment.

Uh, screen error dis. I'm in, Chad. I'm
in them. I'm in. Guys, we're here live
at Blizzcon Classic Plus. Classic
Forever has been announced. Okay, so
we're going to go in. We're going to
check all the characters. We're going to
look at everything that they have that
we're going to get to see in the beta.
The beta is coming on Thursday,
September 17th. I cannot believe that.
And they said it's going to release in 7
weeks, November 4th. I have some
thoughts on that already. It kind of it
kind of it it worries me a little bit
cuz that basically means the game is
done. If they're doing a beta right
before a launch, hopefully it hits.
We're going to check it out. They
changed ratios. Hold. Look, they gave
humans every man for himself. Will to
survive. Remove stuns. So, they have
will to survive. Perception detects
stealth enemies for 20 seconds. Sword
spec increases special and ability
critical chance by
>> Wait,
that is bro. That is busted. 2% crit is
insane. Warrior, hunter, mage, rogue,
priest, warlock, paladin. Humans can be
the same. They have a toggle
for retail or classic models. You know,
we're going to keep it classic. Okay,
don't worry about that. We're keeping it
classic. [music]
Dwarf. Wait, this looks wrong. Oh, wait.
New haircuts. Classic, but new haircut.
Oh, that's what it is. Warrior, hunter,
rogue, priest, paladin, dwarf, shaman
for the alliance. Stone form, fine
treasure, mace spec increase spell and
ability critical chance by 1%. Instead
of 2%. Big game hunter damage to piece
increased by 5%. Dude, I think the base
spec is too strong. I think the I think
the weapon specs are too strong. Human
get 2% crit is insane. Night elf,
warrior, hunter, rogue, priest, druid,
these are the same. Illoon's light
increase critical strike chance by 10
10% crit for 15 seconds.
Shadow melt gains stealth while mobile
quickness 1% increase dodge and
2% increase
chance. Go and look at the night elf
ratios. 2% increased run speed. Yeah,
that's broken. 2% run speed is actually
Oh, it's only 2%. That's insane. Gnome
racials,
escape artists, immunity to roots and
snares. Brief immunity. Not like a you
cast it and it breaks it. Immunity.
Eurea. Reduce cost and 10% increase dam
next to each.
No, that's so strong. Arcane mages.
Expansive mind passive. Maximum mana,
rage, or energy. Rage. They get 105
rage. 105 energy. Dude, I think the
racials are too strong. More reliable
engineering devices. Engineer. Wait, so
they have a higher or less of a chance
that your engineering stuff breaks.
Dude, I think the racials are stronger
than ever. I thought if anything, maybe
they should like tweak the racials down
and nerf them a little bit. Finally, the
new race, the high order skyborn. Let's
look at the racials here. Walk on air.
Glide downward through the air for 10
seconds. Walk on air. Glide downward
through the air for 10 seconds. So you
get slow fall read lay line. Activate a
lay line again. 100% increase health and
mana regen. That's pretty good. I think
they should change these portraits to
the vanilla ones. I think these
portraits dance game. I think they just
look uglier. Anyway, wind bless passive
1% increased melee range and
spellcasting haste. Elemental insight
damage to elementals increased by 5%. So
is that the same on the horde side or
they have the same? Oh, they have a
different ratio. Sky sight receive
elemental blessings increasing run speed
by 10%. Wind bless passive 1% increase
melee range and spell casting dam
elementals increased by 5%. So they have
10% move speed and they have 100% mana
regen like activated ability. Okay.
Okay. Let's look at the orc ratials. New
Orc ratials. Uh blood fury increases
attack power and spell power by 10% for
15 seconds. Shatter curse. Immunity to
curses and baines. And reduce magical
damage.
Immunity to curses and baines. What's a
bane? Is that a new Wait,
I forgot to look at the the races here.
Warrior, hunter, mage, rogue, druid.
Which leads me to on the horde side, you
don't have skyborn mages. You have
shamans instead on horde which also
leads you to look at orc there is now
orc mage axes increase spell and ability
critical by one stun duration decrease.
So it looks like thematically like from
like from a design perspective they
started leaning towards reducing the
time instead of chance to resist and and
making it a little bit more like after
burning crusade where they like balance
CC counterplay I guess with like talents
is that good
>> any
>> it might be better. I think there's a
lot of instances where it's like quote
better. The other one has higher highs
and lower lows because it's like the
gambling principle but I don't know.
We'll see. We'll see what happens with
the rest of the stuff. Undead. Will of
the forsaken removes charm, fear, and
sleep. Cannibalize consumes corpse that
regenerate. So you still have Will of
the Forsaken for undead. You still have
cannibal eyes.
Sometimes sometimes drain health with
your attacks. You have a built-in life
stealing chant.
Does this proc on your undead paladin?
Can this brochon white righteousness
command
frick?
I don't want to play hard again.
How many red bulls this man had? I have
had none. I need a red bull. Is this it?
Can this if this has no internal
cooldown, it could progress,
white hit, windfury, uh, reckoning.
All of this assumes all of this assumes
things are the same in the the how the
how the how the game is built. To be
fair, torren,
warrior, hunter, druid, shaman, same as
before. The torren is a war stomp. Same.
Two seconds. A stun. Grow bonus herbs
that don't require herbalism to gather.
Oh, so there's a whole You don't even
have to be an herbalist and you can get
So you can get alchemy engineering, for
example, and just kind of like passively
pick stuff up. Planes running. They
brought back planes running from the
alpha. Gain increase movement speed the
longer you stay moving. Total healthc
increase by and hit chance increased by
one.
They buffed the hell out of racials. I
thought they would nerf if anything cuz
people complain about racial being too
strong already. I thought they would
nerf them. Berserking increases casting
and attack speed by 10% for 10 seconds.
Okay. Normalizes berserking. Rapid regen
regenerate 50% of maximum
over how much time?
That's an insane heal.
That is an insane heal.
Warrior, hunter, mage, rogue, priest,
warlock.
Oh, I'm f you, Blizzard. Troll warlock
with a 50% healing.
They're never going to die. Oh, 10% of
health regen continues during combat.
What? Oh, that's okay. That's a lot, but
that's okay cuz you don't really regen
that much. Spirit build. Actually, that
is pretty strong. Actually, dude, I'm
thinking about it now. That's pretty
strong. That is all the new class race
combos, all the racials that we're going
to see in Classic Plus, at least
according to the beta. Things can
change, whatever. So, we'll see.
