Video summary
The video delves into the growing speculation surrounding "Classic Plus," a highly anticipated new World of Warcraft game mode rumored to be announced at Blizzcon. The host explores various theories about what this project entails, ranging from it being a prequel set before the opening of the Dark Portal to an alternate timeline where the world remains uncorrupted by the Lich King. A significant rumor discussed is that "Classic Plus" might actually be "Classic Minus," effectively serving as a new game mode rather than a simple expansion, potentially filling the narrative gap between Warcraft III and the original WoW launch. The discussion highlights the community's desire for a fresh start that avoids the pitfalls of previous attempts like Starlight Odyssey (SOD), which many felt suffered from excessive level gating and balance issues.
A major point of contention in the transcript is the potential release date, with rumors suggesting a November launch coinciding with the arrival of *Grand Theft Auto VI*. The host argues strongly against this timing, noting that releasing a major MMO update during such a high-profile gaming event could lead to a loss of market share and attention. Instead, the speaker theorizes that Blizzard might adopt a cyclical model, continuously rotating through Vanilla, The Burning Crusade, and Wrath of the Lich King content to keep the game fresh without needing a massive new expansion every few years. This approach would allow Classic Plus to exist as a permanent, living version of the game that evolves alongside Retail WoW, addressing long-standing community desires for a stable, authentic experience that doesn't rely on seasonal resets.
The transcript also touches upon the internal development names and potential features, such as the inclusion of new classes like the Necromancer and revamped zones in Outland and Northrend. There is significant debate regarding whether Classic Plus will feature PvP arenas; while some players crave the competitive rating system for personal progression, others fear it could discourage casual participation by making players feel inadequate if they do not reach high ranks. The host expresses skepticism about certain leaks, particularly those claiming a specific November release or a project named "Camelot," suggesting that Blizzard may be using smoke screens to manage community expectations before the official reveal. Ultimately, the video concludes with the host promising extensive live coverage of Blizzcon across multiple platforms, aiming to provide real-time insights and analysis as the rumors either confirm or crumble under the weight of an official announcement.

When can you tell us if you played
Classic Plus or not? Dude, I'm the uh
creative director of custodial
operations at Classic Plus Incorporated.
Do you think Blizzard is a good spot?
Did you play Diab? I think if Blizzard
announces Classic Plus and it bombs,
then they're in like such hot water that
they're probably effed. I actually think
that, by the way, I think that it's kind
of scary for Blizzard to even release a
Classic Plus because if Blizzard
releases Classic Plus and it sucks, then
like Blizzard basically has like no hope
anymore cuz that's like the last hope
for Blizzard. The rumors of Blizzcon are
wild. They really are. Here's the game
plan for today. You guys are talking
about crazy rumors for Blizzcon. You
guys are talking about all this
insanity. Here's what we're gonna do,
chat. This is what we're gonna do. I
want you guys to link me your craziest
rumors. Craziest Blizzcon rumors that
you got. There's all kinds of leaks.
There's all kinds of crazy rumors. We're
going to look at them today. What if
classic plus tied into the wrap-up of
The Last Titan, where there is an event
that leads up to the closing of the Dark
Portal, essentially putting the world
back to what it was prior, and that is
the start of Classic Plus.
Holy dude, the ultimate conspiracy. The
whole time Blizzard realizes, oh my
gosh, Classic WoW is too popular. What
do we do? We have to find a way to kill
Classic. But how can we how can we
inject retail into it? Wait, let's merge
them together.
Oh frick. What if they're doing that? Is
that what they're going to do? Merge
classic and retail together to make
classic plus? Classic plus retail minus?
It was the whole thing. Here's a video
giving more support to that. Okay, this
video is not supporting that. This isn't
>> I don't believe any of these leaks. I
feel like we're going to have something
between Sod and a popular private
server. Here's my thing. I think Sod was
not all bad, truthfully, but I didn't
really like it. It was not my cup of
tea. And a lot of it came down to
systems and a lot of the gameplay that
stemmed from that. However, I do think
Sod had some good ideas. Here we go. I'm
just going to MMO Champion. The World of
Warcraft 3, the Last Titan leak library.
Let's start here. Might as well
contribute my own thread towards all the
other fanfictions posted here. Classic
Plus. The reason it's called Camelot is
because Arthus and Uther and the Knights
of the Silverhand are still alive.
That's right. Classic Plus is a prequel.
Oh, frick. This is kind of like the hot
rumor right now. I talked about this
like months and months ago. There are
many reasons for this. Blizzard has
wanted to work on a sequel to WoW for
over a decade, but they don't want to
upset retail players. They don't want to
upset people been playing for 20 years
to think their accounts are now
worthless and all their achievements
have been replaced. A prequel solves
this issue. Not an alternate timeline,
not chromium with time travel, not the
bronze dragon flight, just the world as
it was in the past. We get to witness
the fall of Lordon. We get to witness
the destruction of Silver Moon. One of
the advantages of the work that went
into rebuilding Silverman for retail can
also be used to give us both a version
of Silverman that is not destroyed as
well as the destruction as it is
happening not 5 years later. The big hot
rumor right now is that classic plus is
actually classic minus and it's going
back in time from before WoW was and it
covers the period of time that was
skipped between Warcraft 3, Reign of
Chaos, Frozen Throne into WoW launch.
So, like Reign of Chaos ended, then
there was one year, and then Frozen
Throne happened, right? This is for
Warcraft 3, Warcraft 3, Warcraft 3
expansion, and then there was a
four-year skip that we saw at the
beginning of the cinematic, at the
beginning of the WoW cinematic. It's
like, oh, four years have passed, right?
Since the Burning Legion races banded
together against the Burning Legion.
>> Four years have passed since the mortal
races banded together and stood united
against the might of the Burning Legion.
So that's that's the events of the
Frozen Throne. Now I think this is a
pretty cool concept. I I talked about
this too like months ago, but what is
this rumor based on? Allegedly from play
tests, there was a leaker. I don't think
a prequel makes sense. I think a prequel
would be really cool. I myself have
talked about a prequel would be really
really cool. So you remember last
Blizzcon? I I remember a few key things
from the last BlizzCon and one of them
was I think it was Chris Metson was
talking about the last 20 years of
Blizzard, the last 20 years of Warcraft,
but also setting themselves up for the
next 20 years of Warcraft. How are they
going to have a prequel of a game that
inevitably will end whenever World of
Warcraft starts?
There's a finite period of time there.
That's why I don't think it makes sense,
as cool as I think it would be. for
months. For months, I'm like, "Oh, what
if the Dark Portal never opened?" Oh,
that would be amazing. Dude, I tweeted
that, by the way. What if the Dark
Portal never opened? By the way, same
thing I had been saying on my stream for
months about what Classic Plus should be
is like kind of focusing on on Azeroth
and then slowly kind of rebuilding it
out. And people went nuts. I hadn't even
been to Blizzard yet. We weren't even on
campus yet. And I tweeted that and
everyone was like, "Oh, SP knows. SP
knows." And I'm like, "Bro, I just
tweeted this cuz I it's funny. It's just
what I think." In that same vein, I have
also said that I think a prequel would
be cool, but I don't think it makes
sense. It's not something that Blizzard
would do because they want to do
something that's going to last for I
don't know, ever, I guess, which is
which is that's the other rumor. The
other rumor now is that it's called
Warcraft forever, which is the dumbest
name. Like can you not think of another?
Just go look grabath theaurus. Where is
it? Can somebody link me the source for
the for the Warcraft forever? So
interesting new forever keybindings in
12.1.5.
>> In 12.1.5
the retail client that is the current
midnight client. Okay. 12.1.5. Uh he
says all these words and then over here
the data mine file contains the string
forever. What do I think? Based on all
previous speculation in some forum and
Reddit posts, newly added default
binding profile is for classic plus and
this is accidentally leaked by Blizzard
or intentionally left as an Easter egg.
Connect to a name quote forever. What
could mean it's it's really World of
Warcraft forever or is just another game
mode that comes in 12.1.7.
Everything that is modern housing
plunderstorm is out in this binding
file. Classic action bar switching via
shift numbers. Oh, that's what he's
talking about here. Okay, so you can
hold on. You can't do that in retail.
You can't shift scroll to change your
action bars as a keybind. That's weird.
So, I mean like dude and and here's the
get this is the GitHub WTF/DFault
forever bindings matches well with this
post from a few days ago. I'm willing to
bet we will see multiple Warcraft IP
games announced at Blizzcon. Wow Classic
Plus counts as one of them, but there
are many more leaked games in that IEP
that are in development in many
different genres that are not MMO
related. Warcraft is forever. Who is
this? Who is Laluleo? Who is this guy?
Dude, people will just just bite into
literally anything. This guy used to
leak legit. This guy leaked information
about Persona 6. Now, here's the thing.
I don't know what the name is. I will
put my hand on the Bible, brother. I
don't know what the name is. I actually
don't. But I think Warcraft Forever is a
dumbass name.
Like, dude, literally go to a freaking
thesaurus. Okay, there's so many other
good words you could choose from.
Eternal Forever more than Reforged. I
think reforged has such a negative
connotation that you have to move away
from reforged. Reforged has a negative
connotation because they blew it World
of Warcraft 3 Reforge.
>> That is true.
>> All of these are definitely just the
devs messing with the community leading
up to Blizzcon. probably calculate the
office every day. Maybe. Okay, maybe
forever isn't so bad. But like it just
feels stupid, you know? Warcraft legacy
wouldn't be so bad. Legacy is cool
because like a legacy is like permanent.
Legacy of Azeroth would have been good.
Yeah, let's continue the skits post.
Instead of getting into Gilaeas after
the wall is destroyed by the cataclysm,
we can experience Gilaeas before they
quarantine their kingdom. Okay. Should I
just act like everything is real?
Because I'm a I'm a doubter. All right.
That's my That's my That's my
personality. We're just gonna act like
everything is real. Yeah. We're just
gonna be like, "Oh, dude. This is it,
dude. It's a prequel. 100% 100%. It's a
prequel. 100%. It's WoW forever." This
guy won Azeroth TV. Okay. I recognize
this guy from something. Was he involved
in a drama years ago or something? Maybe
there was like a thing of him hating on
Classic WoW that I saw. Anyway, so this
guy is claiming that this post on MMO
champion is basically real. He's saying
this post is basically real. Dire is a
city quest hub. Gives the alliance
better access to southern Calumdor. We
get the Shendereai hidden elves because
we've not yet met Tonda and Teldril has
not been planted. Dyall powered by
demonic corruption. This is not a
seasonal server. Long-term plans include
going into Outland with Illan to conquer
the Black Temple. Revamped Outland
before Naga take over the Zangar Marsh.
Similarly, we'll eventually go into
Northrren to attempt to stop Arthus from
becoming the Lich King. The time spent
revamping Northr on retail will help
them revamp North for Wrath 2.0. He's
claiming this is real, but how would he
know?
>> This is basically not in any way related
to classic. The only thing about it
that's classic is they're not using like
it's this is basically a second version
of retail in an alternate timeline that
uses classic like class design and
combat and stuff. It's it's based it's
retail like devolved. It's basically
classic minus is what I've heard some
people say about it. So, the reason I'm
talking about it now publicly is because
Cargos has already figured this all out
and he is basically uh breaking the news
on this. Uh but this is news. This is
not speculation
unfortunately for some. I think some
people are really unhappy with it. I'm
sure. But if that even remotely comes
out like that, I feel like it's going to
shut up classic players. It's to shut up
classic players. Yeah. I don't know. I
don't I don't know who wants it. I don't
know what it's going to be like on term.
But like I said yesterday,
>> but how does Caros know? Why? Okay,
but why does Caros know, dude? Did Caros
just pull some out of his ass and
everybody believes it,
dude? It's crazy.
Where is the Cargo video claiming this
source at 245?
Okay, hold on.
>> Uh, what if it's all a smoke screen and
they told people random. Okay, so unlike
caros, I am willing to tell you why I
know this. I just won't tell you how it
came to be aware of it specifically, but
the reason I know this is because a
viewer has been at Blizzard headquarters
testing it. And how apparently this
works is uh tech companies in and around
Irvine, they offer each other free
testing. like if Blizzard needs like an
enormous amount of testing and instead
of hiring people, they do like
reciprocal programs or something it
sounds like.
>> And so this person was offered like
basically like a free like you get
lunch, you go there, you spend the day
at Blizzcon at Blizzard
>> and you play their games. So this person
had the option of playing either WoW, a
couple options. They had a couple
options including the new Diablo thing
that I don't want to spoil but um yeah
they had the option and they chose WoW
and that was what they were given. So
um so they have played it and like I
said um it's real. THIS IS
Oh my gosh.
Dude, you know what? You want to know
the craziest part about this? I don't
think he's lying. I don't think he's
lying. I do think somebody actually said
that. I don't think he's lying about
somebody saying that.
But the person who said it, I don't
think they know.
So funny. This is what Caros is
claiming. Okay. Okay. slash project
Camelot or whatever we're calling it
type of video. My name is Caros. Thank
you for joining me and today I have to
go really shortly. Uh my kids are in
town and uh I'm just saying it and
I'm just full sending the best picture I
have of what this Project Camelot is
going to be. Uh the only thing I'm
putting the house on guys at the end of
the day is that it's a new game with an
alternate timeline. That's my new like
leading thought even over a prequel. I
can get into it in a little bit. Uh but
I've been keeping my ear very close to
the ground. I've been getting obviously
a ton of hate, a ton of Yeah. just a ton
of mixed reviews on the internet, so to
so so to speak. Uh but it is what
>> but but like where's the uh
>> uh we will be vindicated come BlizzCon,
don't worry. Um like I said, only thing
I'm putting the house on, it's uh it's a
new game, alternate timeline, 100% not
named Project Camelot. There's a play
test four or five months ago. This is
not 1 million% confirmed, but this is
also kind of like what we've been
putting the pieces together that it's
highly likely they've been working on
this since 2023. That was the first time
that uh this 1.6 build was detected on
the CDN. Uh and there's a paper trail
going all the way back there. But you
>> most I'll tell you this is this probably
makes sense. Working on it since 2023
probably makes sense because is that not
when Sod came out? So if you consider
like if you're if you're talking about
SAD, that makes sense. Watch this one.
Okay. Is this one worth watching? This
one. This one's good. Okay. Okay. And
not even in the small way. In the way
where the thing you've been waiting for,
you're wrong.
And not even in the small way. In the
way where the thing you've been waiting
for isn't even being made for you at
all. For years, whenever anyone asked
Blizzard whether there would ever be a
World of War,
>> he gives the safest takes. Well, here's
the truth. Here's the truth about
anything with Classic Plus and like
giving takes on Classic Plus. And this
goes for everybody, okay? This goes for
any anything that you say or or
whatever. It it's pretty easy. If you're
saying like this video is safe takes
whatever, it's all the same. Every
everybody says the same things.
Everybody wants the same things. And
we've talked about this so much for so
many years that it's going to be easy to
have like okay this that you know
karazan crips buff classes fix you know
it's going to be you've talked about it
so much everybody knows you know
>> rough two the answer was some version of
the same thing. Not now maybe never. We
don't need one.
I think they're building one right now.
I think it's called classic plus or
camelot classic plus is coming and it's
called internally at least camelot 29
encrypted builds since October 25 on a
branch.
>> I think that's another thing. I mean
they probably wouldn't put the real name
on the on the CDN. It's probably just
like a dev working name
>> from July 2006 license entries found in
June heroic and epic and back in January
Holly Longdale said we'd get clarity on
Classic's future at Blisscon. then got
four words into an announcement before
someone just cut her off.
>> And that's not all we're cooking up. I
can say with confidence that all classic
players across the globe have a lot to
look forward to. I'm really excited to
announce that.
>> I guess we'll save that for later.
>> You know all this the community.
>> Wait,
she almost blew it, guys.
>> She solved it months ago. So, here's the
part nobody says out loud.
>> Do you guys see the clip? Did you guys
see the clip of me with uh on the
housing show? I was like just baiting
super hard.
>> Purchased tiers don't prove ambition.
>> Burning crusade had heroic and epic
upgrades. So did I great.
>> So did Cataclysm $30.
>> Those were totally went with it.
>> Same game with a new code of paint sold
in two tiers. So the data man gets you
to it's a paid release. It doesn't get
you two. It's a big one. So, which one
is Camelot? Call the small version
classic plus light. The community
partner vanilla again. Plus two noob
dungeons.
>> I think Blizzard is mad at me actually.
>> I don't know about I don't know. I think
Blizzard is mad at me. I didn't get
sponsored to go to Blizzcon. I don't
have an official meet and greet. Every
all the other Blizzcon
I think I think I'm too aggro with them
in private.
I think I'm way too accurate.
I don't know, dude. Anyway, the
unfinished zones finished a balance
pass. So, your retribution paladin funny
gets his raid spot. A better vanilla,
but still just vanilla. So, will it be
classic plus light or maybe something
else entirely?
>> The fights can't ask.
>> I'm just going to Nobody can.
>> You have to actually reason.
>> I'm honest. So, let's reason about it.
>> Just just know that I'm as honest as you
think of their game.
>> Even when they've spent a decade
explaining why they don't need one,
>> not that much.
>> And it's not like they never got
everything. By the way,
>> back in the Burning Crusade era,
Blizzard quietly started building a
second MMO.
>> Let's just say, imagine I'm a rep
paladin going to raid. I keep buffing
myself with Righteous Fury. And I don't
really need to do that, but I do it
anyway to try and get my point across.
Okay, I'm DPSing with Righteous Furion
just to get my point across. Think about
it that way.
>> Not WoW 2. In 2024, game director Ian
Hostess was asked directly whether there
would ever be a WoW 2. His answer wasn't
no. It was a philosophy problem.
Theoretically, at someist point down the
line, that may be a question we grapple
with. Seriously,
>> dude. Classic Ian. This is like the most
Ian has
This is the most Ian has statement ever
where he's just like because here's the
thing. Here's the thing. In his defense,
I will say why the hell are you asking
me that question?
So, some questions warrant certain types
of responses. He's not going to be like,
"Yeah, man. We're doing WoW 2 next
weekend." You know, like like what do
you expect him to say? He's like He's
like, "Yeah, sure. At some point down
the line, maybe we're going to consider
it. Like have a legitimate discussion
about it." What else are you going to
say about that? But it's just funny
because you can read this question and
you can imagine Ian Hakos just saying
it. That's what's so funny. Dark portal
never opened play. Arthus Uther iconic
lore remixed. I think this is great. I
mean, I've been a believer of this for a
long time, right? Are the story is
essentially a dark twist on King Arthur.
What if Arthur fell to evil? Camelot
could represent the alternative path.
What if Uther actually convinced Arthus
not to purge Stratholm? No Strathol
massacre. No journey to Northran. No
Frostorn. And ultimately, no Lich King.
Um, well, hold on. It wouldn't be no
Lich King. It would be Nirzul because
there will always be a Lich King. Uh,
revamped graphics. New class. Ne new
class. Necromancer. Necromancer. New
class is the claim. Okay. Oh, I don't
know, dude. New class in classic plus.
Maybe necromancer is coming. Ogres and
high elves. There will be no blood
elves. New rage. New dungeons. Beta in
October.
Launch in November.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Can you imagine
a November launch? How funny would that
be? We know nothing.
Main thing at BlizzC. I think this will
be true. Playable. I actually do also
think there will be a demo of something
cuz we looked at the floor plan. It says
Warcraft demo. What else are they going
to demo? Last Titan maybe. I don't know.
It'll kill Anna. Dude, actually, first
off, I feel very strongly about this.
Any announcement is basically going to
kill the other version of classic. I
think that's so bad. I'm not concerned
about it. First off, I think they should
not do a beta. That's something that
Blizzard did with Sod that was
wonderful. Actually, no beta was so
nice. Let it be a mystery. Now, does it
need a beta from a development
standpoint? This is Blizzard we're
talking about, so it needs a beta.
Unfortunately, there's probably going to
be problems if there's no beta, which
kind of sucks. But I think if they do a
beta, they should just limit it so hard.
Like I'm talking they should set up
invisible walls, wall off any like new
areas. Like you can only be like on
rails. Like you can see very very
little. I think if if Caros is right
about a November launch, you effectively
you kill Burning Crusade anniversary.
That would suck. You're now competing
with every other game launch at least as
far as content creation goes. The hype
of like Twitch, excuse me, like content
creation stuff. You're fighting for
market share with GTA roleplay because
you have no pixel and like there's going
to be a big GTRP hype phase coming up in
the next few months which is like okay
well GTRP WOW is not that's not the
same. There's a big crossover between
GTRP and WoW people. You know the amount
of people that play WoW that found my
stream whenever I was streaming GTRP and
they were like I didn't know you were a
WoW guy. And I'm like dude I was like
the classic guy. right now in like the
world of like you're you're in an era of
everything is algorithms, right?
Something that people are realizing like
exclusive platform launches are are
turning out to be bad. They used to be
like the meta for how to how to release
games. Release a game on console first
and then after a year you put it on PC.
What they found out over time is, hey,
actually this is a bad idea. So much so
that Square broke their agreement with
Sony to to exclusive launch Final
Fantasy games on the PlayStation. And
now it's going to global launch, all
platform launch, whatever at the same
time because all the PC gamers, all the
console gamers, everybody who does
everything is going to talk about at the
same time and things get pushed in the
algorithm at the same time. So Steam,
all the platforms, it all gets pushed at
the same time. Right? This is something
that we've seen too as a part owner of a
publishing company. This is just kind of
what we've noticed is if you are able to
release on all platforms, you gain a lot
more traction. There's a force
multiplier there. The same thing goes
for like competing with other games.
Like it might not be the same genre of
game, but in like the gaming space,
there's only so much information that
one can consume. So in September,
there's a ton of new game launches.
October, there's new game launches.
November, the game that people have been
trying to avoid for years, GTA 6 is
finally launching. So, if you're going
to release at the same time as GTA 6,
now GTA 6 is like a single player story
mode game. People are going to play it
and move on, whatever. I just feel like
it's kind of crazy because it's not only
that and it's not just one factor. It's
the fact that you're releasing it
probably when the Sunwell patch is
supposed to come out. Like
realistically, the Sunwell patch should
come out in November. Burning Crusade
should end in like like February
sometime. and then in February it would
make sense to launch Classic Plus.
That's why I think November doesn't make
sense. I feel like Blizzard is basically
like shooting themselves in the foot if
they release in November. I think a
November launch would not be good. I
mean, okay, would a would a November
launch be end of the world? If you're a
Burning Crusade player, it just kind of
sucks. I'll I'll keep it real. I'm at
least going to want to arena. This is
what I think they're going to do. I
think they're going to take vanilla,
Burning Crusade, and Wrath, and they're
going to keep cycling it. And it's just
going to always cycle. and that's just
going to be a permanent thing. That is
my that is my theory. They permanently
cycle vanilla Burning Crusade and Wrath
and it's just there. The current leak
slate also says this. That checks out.
By the way, I've also been saying this
for 3 years that I think they should do
this. So, I think they're going to keep
doing this. That'll that'll go on. And
then what will happen is, you know,
retail will continue as retail does. I
don't know what happens after Last
Titan, but I think it's just going to
continue. I think Classic is just going
to be this. I don't know what's going to
happen with MOP. Are they going to go to
wad? Are they gonna I don't know what
happens to the original 2019 classic
timeline. I have I have no idea. I think
whatever it is they make, it can't be a
season. You can't do season of
right? It needs to be not a season of
discovery. It needs to be like an actual
like, hey, this is this is we're doing
this now. If they make this whatever
Camelot is as its own sort of timeline,
cuz that's that's what they're saying.
That's that's like what the it seems
like every leak, every rumor, every
whatever. I don't know if it's like a if
this is wishful thinking or if there's
like actual like meat behind this new
game, alternate timeline, long-term
investment runs alongside retail. I do
think this makes sense. But here's the
thing. That's why like that's why
sometimes it's like whenever things are
leaked to rumors, like are they actually
leaked to rumors? I don't know.
But when you think about it, it's like
it's the only thing that makes sense. So
if it's the only thing that makes sense,
people will just run with it. There's a
big chance that Blizzard fabricates a
lot of rumors as well. I mean,
that's what I would do
if I w if I was working at Blizzard and
I was in charge. Oh, I would be just
freaking throwing out smoke screens
constantly. I will be honest, boss. I
figure you know everything going on cuz
you're the boss. No, I actually don't
know everything. I know a lot. I know as
much as I can know, but like I don't
know release dates. I don't know the
name. I don't know there's actually
there's a there's a lot that I don't
know, but there's a lot that I know. if
that makes sense. Wouldn't it make more
sense maybe uh to not say the release
date or have it further away so the
community keeps talking about it? I
think at Blizzcon Well, actually, hold
on. I think you're right. My favorite
rumor is that content creators were
given false information that was
specific to them so Blizzard would know
who leaked if anyone leaked cinema.
Actual cinema. I love that. I love that
one. I that I love that's my favorite
rumor. I think that Blizzcon is going to
be really interesting. S fan's good if
you need an NDA because he's going to
forget everything you told him in like
five minutes.
Guys, listen. The best the best the best
BlizzCon coverage is going to be right
here, okay? On my Twitch, on my YouTube,
on my kick channel, on my Rumble
channel, on my Twitter, everything,
okay? Multireaming live everywhere.
Everything is SFAN TV. From Friday
night, I'm hosting that big big event,
that big party at BlizzCon. That's I'm
going to be live big pre-B Blizzcon
event, free community event that I'm
paying for out of pocket. It's a big
sort of like kind of give back to the
community kind of like thank you for
everything for the last 10 years sort of
thing. You know, I'm very excited.
There's a lot of classic talk and all
this stuff. That's how it all started
for me. Let's kind of tie it all back
around and and host this big event, this
big party. So, we're doing that Friday
night at Blizzcon. The biggest skitso
idea about Camelot is my own post on MMO
Champion. Wait, where is it? Oh, here.
Let me look at this thing that Nexo
posted. Well, let's do one thing at a
time. One thing at a time. Sorry. Oh,
wait. Hold on. This is your thread that
I was looking at. Law Paladins.
Wait, the guy who wrote this, the guy
who wrote this is in my YouTube chat
right now.
What the heck? Updated Grimatl. We get
to rescue Alexstrazza, which wasn't ever
sufficiently explored in the old game,
even though we know it happened. We also
get dwarf shaman of the Twilight
Highlands and undead paladins, confirmed
by Holly at the DND event. As far as
gameplay goes, we can expect the best of
sod, expect flexible 20erson man rating
revamp classes that are similar to their
TBC versions. I don't have any specifics
except that Blizzard was happy with how
most classes turned out in Sod. Can I
Can I keep it real? I think this would
be a disaster. I think it would be a
disaster because everybody was way too
strong in Sod. The PvP balance,
everybody just had way too much. I think
I think if Blizzard decides to go that
route with it and try and recreate sod,
you know,
>> I don't think C++ should be level gated.
I think we should be able to start
making our way to 60 from launch. A big
frustration for me was that Shad was
level gated. Thoughts?
>> Uh, I agree with you. I don't think they
would do that again. I think what they
tried to do is I think they tried to
recapture the excitement of the classic
plus beta, recreate it in Zod and it
ended up being bad because it just took
too long. That's what I think. I mean,
level 25 felt like a full level 60 kit
in Sod. It was That's why I got too
much. Do you think they should have
arenas in Classic Plus? If I'm being
selfish, yes, I I love the arena. I love
playing arenas. That is my own personal
sort of like I I would love for there to
be arenas, but I have a hot take about
PvP in general with with WoW. I think
PvP and WoW, one of the things that
hurts it more than anything else is
attaching a rating to PvP. The bad part
about that is you can't say scoreboard,
check the rating if you get rid of that.
But what a rating in PvP does for most
players. Unfortunately, people see that
their rating is low and then they're
like, "Oh, I suck at arenas. This makes
me feel bad. I don't want to do this
anymore." So, they end up not wanting to
PvP. It's lame. It's kind of It's kind
of loser behavior, yes. But
unfortunately, that is just how a lot of
people operate. You just end up having
less people wanting to PvP because
they're like, "Oh, I'll never be
gladiator. Oh, I'll never get 2,000
rating for shoulders. Oh, I never I'll
never get 1,700 for weapon." If you suck
at something, why would you do it? Well,
because maybe it's fun to learn and
maybe it's fun to get better, right? Cuz
that's an enjoyable thing. Like for
somebody like me, my personality,
>> if I have like a rating, I have a carrot
on a stick. That's something for me to
chase, you know? And that's an enjoyable
sort of like feedback for me, right?
Like I really like that. Like, oh, I can
get better. Oh, I got to get Gladiator.
Oh, I got to I got to go I got to push.
I got to push. I got to push. So, for
me, that's very fun. But for a lot of
people, they're just like, "Oh, I suck
and I don't want to do this." Right? I
do. I want arenas in Classic Plus. Yes,
I as fan want arenas in classic plus the
the player. But like thinking about the
game, is arena are arenas good for the
game in Classic Plus? I don't know. It
might not be. Also, everyone isn't
gladiator. There's other ranks to shoot
for it. That's true. Still, it's cool to
have like that progression.
>> How do you see Classic Plus sitting
alongside retail? Does each game cater
to different audiences? What if one
player base wants features that the
other has and vice versa? What's the
long-term vision you think Blizzard
should be aiming for?
>> That's kind of what we were talking
about a little bit earlier. If you want
to make classic plus Blizzard for the
longest time, you go back 10 years,
right, to whenever I like was like
starting streaming and like pushing for
like I I was a part of like that group
of people that was, you know, classic
cast and all this stuff pushing for
classic legacy servers to even be a
thing, right? Blizzard always said we
don't want to run two MMOs at the same
time. Like we don't want to have to
maintain a second MMO. That's not
something that we want to have to do. I
think that as time has gone on, as the
game has kind of progressed the way it
has, it's forked off into two separate
things and it's it's very clear that
there's two distinct types of games that
people like to play. And classic plays
very differently than retail. Some
people like retail, some people like
classic, some people like both, some
people like neither. If you were to take
classic plus, it needs to maintain the
design philosophies of classic woow of
the original game of Burning Crusade a
little bit. not everything, but like you
need to look at like how things were in
2004, 2005, 2006. You need to start
there and then you need to build out the
game using those design principles. And
I think if you do that, then you can
have another MMO run alongside retail,
you know, as like, hey, this is now
live. This is a this is a living,
breathing, developing game that we make
changes to. we make bug fixes to, we put
patches in, and we update stuff, we add
content, and it's something that is
constantly changing and growing and
developing. This can be done, but is it
something that Blizzard wants to do? I
don't know. Cuz they've always said they
don't want to run two MMOs at the same
time. And even classic, classic is its
own thing. They're not really running it
like a full-on MMO. And if you're play,
if you play classic, you know damn well
they don't run it like a like its own
MMO because they're not stopping the
bots. I mean, they're trying trying
quote to stop all the bots and the RMT
and this and that or what, but it just
runs rampant. They don't go and account
for the times like they should. There's
a reason why so many people like turn to
private servers back years ago and how
why still to this day like I mean that's
where I come from, right? I was on the
Blizzard Blacklist 10 years ago coming
from Allesium Lights Hope, right? That
whole era of private servers, right? the
post nostalgia, like there was different
eras of private servers, and there was
like the nostalgia era, like the
postnost era, and it that was like the
Blizz-like era. That was whenever
private servers tried to give you like a
an authentic vanilla WoW experience with
patch progression, progressive
itemization, and all this other stuff
that Blizzard actually did not give you.
I don't think the 2019 version of
Classic was the best version of Classic
WoW. Private servers did technically do
a better job. There's a lot of fun
rumors and stuff, but at the end of the
day, like rumors are just rumors. We
won't really we won't really know until
we get to Blizzcon. It's fun to talk
about. It's an exciting time around
Blizzcon. It's going to be a great time.
