Video summary
The video explores the unique and entertaining side of professional wrestling by highlighting moments where humor arises from both intentional comedy and unintentional chaos. It argues that while serious feuds and intense character work are essential, light-hearted segments add necessary depth to wrestlers' personas, preventing them from being one-dimensional brooding figures. The narrator emphasizes that these funny matches often create memorable impressions for fans, showcasing the sport's versatility as a variety show where unexpected situations can turn into some of the best entertainment moments.
Several legendary matches and stipulations are discussed as prime examples of this comedic potential. The video revisits the infamous "Anything Goes" match between Sami Zayn and Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania 38, which featured absurd elements like a giant rat and chaotic physicality that defied traditional wrestling frameworks. Other highlighted events include the blindfold matches where competitors couldn't see their opponents, the ridiculous "Divas" matches with bizarre stipulations involving liquids or clothing removal, and the hardcore title defenses that took place in strange locations like phone booths and washrooms. These segments demonstrate how wrestlers and creative teams leaned into absurdity to keep audiences engaged when standard wrestling spots fell flat.
The transcript also delves into specific wrestlers who became unintentional comedy gold due to poor booking or physical mishaps. Big Show is cited as a prime example, with his massive size often leading to surreal situations like performing cruiserweight moves against smaller opponents or getting defeated in ways that made him look like a joke character. Similarly, Hulk Hogan's career includes infamous moments like the fireball spot that blew up in his face at Halloween Havoc 1998 and the incident where he was pushed off a building only to reappear later. Even Brock Lesnar, typically portrayed as a serious powerhouse, had wardrobe malfunctions during matches that added an unintentional comedic layer to his otherwise intense persona.
Finally, the video touches on the role of commentary in amplifying these hilarious moments, particularly during the Attitude Era when commentators like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler engaged in heated debates that often overshadowed the action itself. The segment also covers WCW's notorious gimmick matches, such as the Chamber of Horrors where competitors had to lock opponents in an electric chair, which frequently malfunctioned for comedic effect. Ultimately, the video concludes that while some of these moments were poorly executed or meant to be taken seriously, their legacy lies in how they entertained fans through sheer absurdity and the unpredictable nature of live sports entertainment.

>> There's been so many memorable matches
that might not be applicable to the star
rating system.
>> Watch out.
The referee has already taken his first
hit.
>> But we remember them because of how
funny they were.
>> Oh, look at those.
>> Look at him.

intended to be serious, but is so bad
laughing is the only way to sit through
it.

intentional and unintentional comedy in

HEY, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MR. TABLE?
>> Unintentionally famous and more

>> He was selling though.
>> He was trying to bury the guy, you know,
you know, really, really badly. But that
is the way I sold when I was a heel. And
now it's now you fast forward to 2005
and that's known as oversell. I mean,
that's how I used to bump for everybody
in '95 and nobody minded it. Today we
list our pigs for the funniest WWE
matches in history.
>> Love this moment.
>> Jack series teaming up with WWE seems
like it would be a good fit. But before
2022, things hadn't always gone to plan
when the two worked together. From Steo
getting legitimately knocked out in 2006
after no selling's offense, which
infuriated the Samoan bulldozer to the
jackass cast pulling out of working a
match at the next year's SummerSram
following the Benoir family tragedy. It
wasn't until Sami Zayn began a rivalry
with Johnny Knoxville that things
finally clicked for Jack's crew in WWE.
Sammy went above and beyond to promote
the feud with excellent comedic keel
work. It all build to one of the
craziest fun matches in Wrestlemania
history 38th edition emanating from
Dallas.
>> This was actually better than I
expected. I really didn't have much, you
know, expectations for this match.
Honestly, I wasn't that interested. But
when it was actually happening, it was
actually entertaining. And this is what
makes wrestling just that unique
situation in uh entertainment. Things
that you wouldn't expect to be
entertaining sometimes can be the
funniest thing or probably even one of
the better moments of a show. And this
was actually really fun. I was not
expecting it to be as fun as it was.
>> Texas
>> running for his life.
>> Yeah. Like I was not expecting this to
be that funny. to Sammy.
>> The anything goes clash between Zayn and
Knoxville had all the bells and whistles
you'd expect from a jackass MATCH.
>> OH, LOOK AT THAT.
PUT TO THE UP. THE GROY ABLE to have
children after tonight.
>> Oh my god.
>> It showed how versatile of a performer
Sammy was.
>> We didn't throw anything out of the of
the the framework of a wrestling match
to create this match.
>> We man look
AT THIS BODY SLAM. THIS FEUD and match
set him up for what would be the best
run of his career in the months and
subsequent years that followed as he
transitioned from comedic villain back
to being a more serious beloved baby
face.
>> Oh no. OH MY GOD. THE RAT IS tra
with the win.
>> The WLC match from Extreme Rules 2014
had a similar level of intrigue to the
jackass match.
>> This was a thing
>> especially from the other members of the
roster since it was a sellout at the
monitors backstage as Hornswaggle
battled El Torito. I thought it was
micro micro cos.
>> We get to the gorilla and everyone is on
their feet clapping for us.
>> Wow. One of those moments where
>> the vow featured many comical moments as
each spot transitioned well to the next.
>> Here we go.
>> The little announce table. Bro,
>> this is awesome. Chance.
>> This is great.
>> It was an entertaining contest from
every step of the way. OH,
>> he's got the bull by the tail. And the
announcer called him horn waddle.
>> Everyone put in one heck of a shift.
>> Especially 3MBB and the Matadors on the
outside who each took some big bumps.
>> THINK
>> OH MY GOD. LOOK AT HIM. LOOK AT HIM.
>> They really did take some crazy
>> and hornswaggle worked a memorable feud
which later saw the former leprechaun's
head get shaved.
>> Look at that.
>> Oh no. Now you use whipped cream. A pick
in his hair as well.
>> The level of chaos witnessed in the last
centuries and they were selling it too

like the Houdini of hardcore Crash Holly

Not to mention the ruling which allowed
the title to be defended 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, just as long as a WWF
referee was present.
>> I will say the 24/7
concept originally was so fun because
they were going everywhere backstage,
hotels, bars, restaurants, airports.
That [ __ ] was hilariously entertaining,
bro. They took it seriously. 24/7.
Doesn't matter where you are, the title
is potentially on the line as long as
there's a ref. I love that. It was It

title defended in all sorts of different
locations. See the strangest places a
championship match ever took place.
>> Those falls count anywhere

>> we say anywhere, we mean anywhere.
>> Hey,
like a little Pac-Man going through

THIS IS HARDCORE. OH NO.

HERE'S the cover now.
And it's Bob Holly. A wide cast of
characters challenged himself, including
non- wrestlers.
>> Oh, this one's funny.
>> [ __ ] So stupid.
>> DAMN.
>> WHAT THE HELL?
>> Jack is attempting to WIN THE HARDCOURT
TITLE. THAT'S THE ALL PRO OFFENSIVE
LINEMAN OF THE RAVENS GOING FOR THE

>> There's one more thing I need from you.
>> Let's take an even deeper dive to the
wildest comedy matches from the
attitude.
>> Oh, how
looks like he's in a status. It's long
been said that anything can happen in
the World Wrestling Federation. But when
it came to this time period, truer words
were never spoken.

The Rock is famous for his hilarious

>> Shut your mouth while the rock can
listen to this boring crap or I'll slap
the dead right off your monkey ass and
give it back to you.
>> The rock's got a [ __ ]
>> Bro, the rock was golden, bro. I slap
the dead off your monkey ass and give it
back. The Rock was pure gold back then.
Oh my god.
He was talking that [ __ ]
Oh, this is bringing back so many
memories, y'all. Oh my god.
>> Rock burger with a little bit of extra
rock sauce on the side. Smell it.
>> CAN I GET A HIGH FIVE ON THAT?
>> HELL NO. I GIVE YOU A SLAP IN the teeth.
How about that? About the big Bowski.
Get a meet of Mr. TALO.
>> Son of [ __ ]
>> Hey, what do you think about Mr. Talo?
>> Rock speaks a little Spanish. And here
it is. THE ROCK KICKING YOUR MONKEY
ASSY.
FOLLOWING THE END OF THE Attitude era,
the quality of the WWF began to decline,
but things finally started to pick up
again at the end of 2001. Stone Gold's
feud with Booker T was better than
almost everything that had happened.
The greatest piece of business together
went down on the December 13th, 2001
from Bakersfield, California. Austin and
Booker's iconic supermarket broad was
some of the best TV the company has ever
produced.
>> This was so good, bro.
>> I miss segments like this. build a pizza
and start singing.
>> I miss and say, "Hey, look, my favorite
match was when you my favorite match was
you and go Steve Austin in the grocery
store." And I'm like, "It wasn't a
match. Technically, but it may be given
his length and physicality."
>> There you go.
>> You want me to make you?
>> It was one shot, one take.
>> Stand by.
>> It was a match. That's what it was. It
was a match where I knew I was going to
get about 10%.
>> Hey, you got milk?
>> It was a one-take, one-sided adlib
beatdown that resulted in thousands of
dollars worth of damages to the store.
>> The fact that the store was they were
cool with this and they went with this.
This was so [ __ ] cool, bro. They need
to do more stuff like this. This was fun
and it's iconic and everyone will always
remember this moment, bro.
Oh,
I
>> There's been so many hilarious kick
matches which could feature, but they
probably deserve their own list, but for
now, we'll highlight one stipulation
that brings the loss every time. The
blindfold match is a simple concept and
one of the most crowd interactive
matches there is.
>> He has a blindfold on Cole. Of course,
HE DOESN'T. OH, LOOK AT THIS. WHAT THE
HELL? BY TAKING that sh's pants running

>> the first one on WWF programming saw
Jake the Snake Roberts battle Rick the
model Martell at Wrestlemania 7
>> voluntarily anyway.
>> Oh, look at that. Everything was great
about this one from the spots to the
commentary to the crowd reaction.
There we go.
>> Martell was a cowardly heel while Jake
was the baby face out for revenge after
previously being blinded by Rick
disaster.
>> Before the age of Twitter and Facebook
and social media, WWE presented a
scenario that encouraged interactivity.
On Raw Roulette from October 7th, 2002,
Triple H the World Heavyweight
Championship against DLo Brown with both
men blindfolded.
>> The game needed help from Ric Flair to
secure the victory after DLO had hunter
on the ropes throughout the bout.
>> Hey, wait a minute. Too much.
>> First ever you can't see me match saw
blindfolded John Cena take on a
clear-sighted Dvari. Despite the
impairment, Cena had no trouble
dispatching his opponent thanks to some
help from the fans.
>> It's blind man's bluff is what it is. He
gets the best. He got him with the
>> Saturday Morning Slam was one of the
more unique WWE shows.
>> Hey
boy.
>> Well, for those of you that remember the
Carlton Oh,
>> he just looks sad.
That's not supposed to make me feel sad,
is it?
>> What is this? I've never seen these
clips.
>> Matthew the air guitar versus air
guitar. I would have to go with Cena
Mela.
>> Wrestling it on Saturday mornings going
back decades. But this particular
program began airing at the height of
WWE'se's PG era in 2012.
>> THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS CALLING for
timeout.
>> That's two. They've got one left.
>> NO, THEY DON'T. There are no timeouts in
WWE. which for the first few years was
essentially G-rated entertainment
>> in general life situations.
>> He's giving me like
>> Saturday
legitimately had a G- rating. This meant
the talent couldn't really have much of
a physical wrestling match. Therefore,
they had to rely on comedy.
>> Daniel Bryan's in a position here where
neither one of his shoulders can be
pinned to the mat. Therefore, the
official
>> I've never seen.
>> Embarrassed by Rey Mysterio. Mysterio
able to roll through there. YEAH,
>> the wrestlers had to get creative and
from that came a host of funny moments.
>> Cesaro.
>> Cesaro's got incredible balance.
>> This is a lot of lower body strength
too, right?
>> Absolutely.
>> Oh, what's going
>> What is this, bro?
>> Teetering back. This is unbearable. This
is unbearable.
>> Nobody, Trust me, Josh, nobody wants to
be there. Smart move by Cody getting
away.
>> Cody Road simply slipped away. Can roads
live? They're very similar, but there
are some gosh, you're ready to
>> never seen this. This is my first time
I've seen

room. I mean that when you're in the
room with someone like Car was about to
say that

>> Somehow missed that which
Kingston now Slayer all sorts of dizzy
days the women's roster often had to
wrestle in crew divas matches. These
usually had ridiculous stimulations
which saw Talon have to remove articles
of clothing from their opponents or
throw them into some form of liquid.
>> CRAZY.
>> These matches were absurd for the time
and they silia to look back on now.
>> Look out,
>> including the perverse commentary from
Jerry the Kinger.
He was so happy, bro.
>> Let me do that. COME ON. LET ME HAVE A
SMOOTH.
>> OH MY GOD.
>> What a match.
>> What a match is crazy.
>> I love a little tail.
>> I know you do, buddy.
>> Oh yeah.
>> No. No. No. No. WHAT AM I SAYING? YES.
YES. YES.
>> Oh my god, bro. He said, "What am I
saying?" Yes. Yes.
>> I think we should have one of these
every single week.
>> Nevertheless, the ladies made the most
of what they were given.
>> Come on, Rev.
If you can't pull him apart, I'LL COME
IN THERE AND HELP YOU. LOOK AT THAT
REFEREE.
>> He just got zero. Referee sparks. Oh,
look at those
go.
Look at him.
What a sick man he is. IN HIS UNDERWEAR.
OH, for God's sakes. AND THEY'RE
STAINED. OH NO.
>> Damian Sandow's imitating other
characters showed how he could take
anything the company gave him and make
the best of his circle. Sandow's most
memorable in ring work saw him act as
the Miz stunt double known as Damen
Mizdau. Here Mizda brilliantly imitated
anything the A-lister did no matter the
situation.
>> Worse now than he's ever been. Wait a
minute.
>> He does something for Miz now.
>> Wait a minute. WHAT THE

Fatal fourway.
>> Bro, this shouldn't have been as funny
as it was. ALL FOUR OF THESE teams
universe down better.
>> And there's the idiot Miz guy.
>> Yeah. Why don't you come and try to help
me?
>> You know, this is one of the most
ridiculous things I've ever seen.
Interstitializ
>> after.
It shouldn't have been as funny as it
was, but it was. No, he's literally
doing everything that the Miz is taking
from other wrestlers. Hilarious stuff,
bro.
>> Time has missed out ended, Damen spent
the next year jobbing on the sea shows
until he was released. Unfortunately, he
was on the roster during a period where
WWE weren't prepared to push talent that
got over in spite of their booking. That
being said, anytime he got a small
window of opportunity, Sandow made each
minute of TV time count.
Dummer. He almost won the whole thing.
Now Shack.
>> Now we move on to Eddie Guerrero's
funniest inring moment.
Eddie Guerrero.
>> Oh my god.
In the ring was the ability to lie,
cheat, and steal his way to victory.
>> Just tapping. Wait a minute. Look at
this.
The real coming two here.
>> These acts were just as clever as they
were amusing.
>> THE FREE

Eddie getting rid of the evidence. He
thinks Mercury DID IT. AND LOOK AT THIS.
It's a distraction.
>> Latino Heat bent the rules in innovative
>> lovely man.
>> I've never seen that before. I got to
say no.
>> So much so that his matches were
appointment viewing every week on
Smackdown so we could see what scheme he
thought of next.
>> How's he doing? Eddie just got
down the
>> Eddie Guerrero. Look at
>> We miss you, Eddie.
>> No, you didn't see it. You can't you
can't hold the tree.
Wait a minute. Oh, wait a minute.
>> I love this clip.
>> The smoking gun.
>> Eddie's iconic smoke set the table for
his rule breaking. When he did this, we
knew it was time for him to cheat.
>> It shows Kirk, but look at the look on
Eddie's face.
>> What makes this funny, bro?
That's a heel thing to do. That's a very
heel thing to do. But the fans love it.
It's hilarious. You can't help but cheer
that on. Like, you know what? Go ahead,
Eddie. You can cheat. We don't care. We
love it.
>> Oh, there's that Eddie.
>> Major major major problem. Now, smirk on
the face of Eddie. They say it's not
cheating if you don't get caught. But
unfortunately for Eddie, referees would
sometimes catch him red-handed in the
act of deceit as hilarity ensued. We
>> get a little replay from LAST WEEK. REUS
THE TAG TEAM GOLD. The referee's coming
too. The referee Eddie.
>> Shawn Michaels clash with Hulk Hogan at
SummerSlam 2005 was meant to be the
first of a three match series between
the two. Michaels expected it to be a
baby face versus babyface clash until
the higher-ups told him they wanted the
old Sha back from 1997. And for the next
few weeks, that's certainly what they
got.
>> It's not how old you are, it's how OLD
YOU FEEL, BROTHER. AND I FEEL
brotherly
pulled the plug on there being more than
one match due to HBK's behavior
throughout the feud.
>> If it's going to be a clown show now
from this point on, then I don't want to
be I thought this guy really wanted to
dig and draw some money,
>> you know, asked him, "Are you okay with
all this?" And it was the no problem
brother. Um, you know, and I got news
for you. If he denies it, I'll tell him
to his face. You find later on in life,
wow, some of the most successful people
in this business, you know, are the most
insecure.
>> Sean went to insane lengths to comically
oversell.
>> He did again
the guy, you know, really, really badly.
But that is the way I sold when I was a
heel. And now it's now you fast forward
to 2005 and that's known as oversell. I
mean, that's how I used to bump for
everybody in '95 and nobody minded it.
between Ziggler doesn't matter and
nobody calls it overselling.
>> He was I ain't got lie to you, Sean. He
was definitely You was You add a little
extra sale like this. That's a little
extra sale to it.
>> He was cat-like. He was agile. HE WAS
NIMBLE. HE HAD A HE HAD A A CATCHER
CATCH CAN STYLE.
>> THE showstopper completely stole the
show. Oh, the big boom.
>> You know, I already knew what I was
going to do. I was going to go out there
and do business, but I was going to make
him earn it uh just to be a pain in the
butt all day. And uh that was something
I did just for my own enjoyment. And
that's
>> that's what he was, bro. He's like,
"Fuck it, bro."
>> Hulk's worked numerous other matches
which had fans laughing even though
Hogan's intention wasn't comedy. Whether
it be from botches or just silly
moments.
>> LOOK AT THE STRENGTH POSSESSION. HE DID
IT BY NIKOLAI.
HE'S NOT DONE with this move yet.
>> Yeah, this this looks so wild, bro.
>> Hollywood Hogan's match with the
Ultimate Warrior at Halloween Havoc 98
might be the Hulk's worst outing. It was
comically bad. The bout was topped off
by the final sequence that saw Hogan
sing his eyebrows off after flash paper
blew up in his face following a botched
fireball spot.
>> It's a lighter.
>> Hollywood Hogan.
>> I think probably everybody in the arena
started laughing. pretty much ruined the
match.
>> Halloween Havoc from 3 years prior was
even funnier for Hogan, who began the
night inadvertently pushing the giant up
the roof of a building following a
monster truck match.
>> Yeah,
>> I remember this this clip.
>> No.
>> Oh my god.
>> NO.
>> The night ended with Hulk being squeezed
from the rear by the Yeti during Hogan's
match with the Giant, who himself was
now fully recovered after previously
plunging to his apparent demise.
>> What in the HELL IS GOING ON AND WHO IS
ON WHOSE SIDE? The Hulk's over the top
pantoime style.
>> I want you to understand.
The [ __ ] fell off a building. How is he
still alive? It reminds me of when Ray
got thrown off the top of WWE
headquarters for that Money in the Bank.
I think it was during the pandemic. He
got thrown off the top of the building
and he was on Monday Night Raw like
later on the next week. What? You should
be dead, bro.
in the ring is quite funny to look back
on today, but that doesn't make it any
less iconic.
>> Hogan, HE'S GOING TO TURN ON HOGAN.
>> I told you and no soul with a big
>> The Big Show is one of the most
unintentionally funny wrestlers of all
time.
>> Big Show Gingerly making his way to the
top. Don't do it.
>> Don't do it. Don't do it, Big Show. Oh
my goodness.
AND WHILE MANY of his matches may not
have been played up for laughs, the end
result sometimes found fans unable to
hold it in while watching.
>> Oh, Roman Reigns.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> Show sumo match with Akibono at
Wrestlemania 21 saw the world's largest
athlete get put on his 7 foot 500lb ass
that was visible for the world to see.
Shows feud with Cody Rose centered on
how poorly the giant had been booked
during his time with WWE, which
inadvertently made him a joke character
on countless occasions. Big Show and
look at Cody.
>> Yeah, right there.
>> Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa.
>> Sometimes show would try and stick it to
the higher-ups and the view they held of
him. His match versus Kane on Raw in
2006 saw the two giants performing
cruiserweight moves which made for a
surreal sight.
>> A wrestling match. I thought these guys
were going to try to tear each other's
limbs off.
>> Big Show did this again during a match
with Braun Strowman in 2017. By this
point, a high-ranking official had
already told Show he would never main
event at pay-per-view ever again and
that his role was purely to get other
talent over.
Oh no. OH
>> WAIT A MINUTE. OH,
>> YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. The world's
largest baseball slide.
>> Show starred in the first ever Punjabi
prison match at the 2006 Great American
Bash. This is one of the more absurd
gimmick matches. From the look to the
rules to the poor quality of each match.
That being said, the Punjabi prison is
one of those intriguing concepts that's
so bad it's interesting and often quite
amusing in execution. Big shows
hilarious facial expressions.
>> I think also because you couldn't really
see because of the bamboo. couldn't
really see what was happening in the
match because it wasn't spaced out like
the the the bars from of the bamboo
itself or to replicate the bamboo itself
was just too thick. So viewing it, it
was just kind of hard to see what's
happening within the match.
>> Sold the show in the first prison match.
>> Look at the picture of the big show
right there looking at the Punjabi
prison. That's the look that everyone
had backstage when we saw the Punjabi
prison. You'd swear it was a retirement
match given how show reacted to being
defeated by the Undertaker halfway
between anger, sadness, and despair. But
if you saw the Undertaker we have been
wanting to see.
>> After missing the first Punjabi prison
match due to injury, the great Khali
starred in the second against Batista
with the world heavyweight title on the
line. This match emphasized how odd the
cage is designed since it's not hard to
exit the entire structure once you get

>> Look at this.
>> Look at this. Oh my
>> goatista.
It was only fitting that the great Khali
made his grand return at Battleground
2017 to help Jinder Mahal to victory in
what could have been the final ever
Punjabi prison match.
>> Randy Orton shot here.
>> Oh my god. Oh my goodness.
>> Appearance was one of the few highlights
on a night that saw Randy Orton
challenge Jinder for the WWE
Championship inside the structure.
>> Reaching through the board in that
opening size of Kie and Jinder. After
the bell, the Punjabi Playboy
hilariously hoisted the WWE bell up as
if he just won it.
>> You're WWE Champion.
>> One of the key matches worse than any of
the Punjabi prisons is the infamous
Kennel from Hell from Unforgiven 1999.
Al Snow and Big Boss Man's match was
supposed to feature trained attack dogs
on the outside, but because the
higher-ups waited until the last minute,
all they could source for the match were
regular dogs. They called a veterinarian
clinic there in Charlotte. Got on the
list of

them to the arena.
>> The dogs urinated, defecated, and
fornicated on the outside while the
wrestlers worked in abysmal contest in
the ring. Oh,
>> get out. These stupid dogs bite his
hands much.
>> I think these dogs may like Alo. I don't
know.
>> They might have started humping.
>> What do you want him to do? They're
dogs.
>> That dog GOT BEAT OFF OF IT.
>> Despite the absurdness of the story line
where Elsno's dog, Peppa, was kidnapped,
cooked, and fed to him by the boss man.
The match itself didn't have any
intentional comedy slots. It was meant
to be a serious encounter.
that clip.
I think they was at a hotel room like,
"Man, this is good. What is this?" Oh,
you don't know. THIS IS YOUR DOG. WAIT,
WHAT?
UH, peak peak stuff, bro.
>> Bossman had made Snow eat his own dog.
>> 100%
grade A Pepper.
What's the matter, Al? Oh, you don't
like pepper?
>> This makes it all the more funny given
how badly things went.
>> The number one rule in entertainment is
you don't work with animals or kids.
They'll always outshine you, upstage
you, or they'll screw up the whole
scene.
>> Face first.
>> Watch. Watch.
>> What the heck is
>> I would have made sure that I found
trained dogs that were highly trained
with one person because every time I
went and spoke to Russo, I said that.
Vince McMahon himself actually
apologized to me for putting me in that
situation. You couldn't even show them
on the air nor interact with them. Well,
then you've completely hamstrung, you
know, the whole
>> Yeah. thing.
>> Running from the Ron Wilders here. Keep
those DOGS ON THEIR LEASH.
>> Our previous entry might not be the
worst Hell in a Cell style match of all
time, though. That distinction may have
to go to Seth Rollins and the Fiend's
abomination in 2019. The ending
epitomized how atrocious WWE's product
was during this time. The match was
stopped after Rollins destroyed the
Fiend with a hammer. Since it was a
referee stoppage, Seth should have been
declared the winner. However, the bout
essentially finished in a
disqualification.
>> No, no, no. Don't do it.
>> You may not ask me back for another one
of these, but how the hell do you get DQ
to help you get DQ?
>> Bray Wyatt will go down as one of the
great WWE characters.
>> Rest in peace, Bray, man.
But unfortunately, there were countless
occasions where he was a victim of bad
creative and terrible booking. This in
turn led to some comically bad matches.
>> He can.
>> He will. JACK HAMMER COVER BY GOLDBERG.
SHOULDERS DOWN. HE DID IT. AXEL INTO THE
cover on Wyatt. The big paper.
>> Unbelievable.
>> Exiting through the door is a pretty
lame way to win a cage match, but
Wyatt's victory over John Cena at
Extreme Rules 2014 takes the cake.
Oh yeah, I remember this.
>> Later in the year at TLC, Bray defeated
Dean Ambrose thanks to some technical
difficulties.
>> Ambrose
Ambrose.
>> Wyatt had a good laugh after an intruder
tried to make themselves Ambrose and
Roman Reigns mystery partner at Night of
Champions 2015.
>> Oh yeah, I remember that too.
Bray lost to Randy.
>> Buddy just had the shield gear on. He
was he was just ready to fight on behalf
of these [ __ ] and he got tackled and
Bray was like, "That's your boy." That's
that [ __ ] was crazy watching that live.
>> Wrestlemania 33 despite Wyatt making LED
bugs appear on the map.
>> I remember that too.
>> Lackluster match. COVER RANDY ON this
champion.
>> A month later at Payback, Bray and Randy
worked a House of Horrors match. This
was completely panned by fans due to its
boring nature and overall
ridiculousness.
>> They were basically trying to capitalize
uh I think on the broken uh Matt Hardy
gimmick because they had like a a
similar style match. So, they was trying
to capitalize off that mo momentum. uh a
broken Matt Hardy and the match that he
had in like this cinematic style
situation. They were trying to do the
same thing and it it just didn't work.
It wasn't it didn't land. The swamp
match with Braun Strowman at Extreme
Rules 2020 wasn't much better.
>> Yeah.
>> Whilst working as the Fiend at TLC 2020,
Bray was burned to a crisp by Auton.
>> Hey, no.
No.
No,
>> the Fiend wrestled one match at
Wrestlemania 37 where
>> for him to lose

>> THE Sandman and Sabu's match from ECW
November to Remember 97 was one big
comedy show. Both men worked hard and
took some big but every spot is
downright hilarious.
>> Climbing the turnbuckles.
>> Oh my god. Sandman is usually drunk for
all his matches. But before this one,
he' taken two tabs of acid.
>> There was acid floating around the
dressing room. He took a double dose. He
thought he seen Godzilla in the ring. He
thought he was fighting a monster. He
was tripping big time. I was just trying
to stay alive.
>> As hostages and equipment malfunctions,
it was essentially a triple threat match
between the two competitors and the
ladder.
>> With runins from each of the tables that
were broken,
>> Sandman trying to lay out Sabu on that
table and puts it right through it. The
gritty presentation with the handheld
camera up close and personal with the
action makes this an insane spectacle.
>> Oh my god.
>> The match embodies the chaotic crash and
burn style of ECW. You just can't look
away from this performance art disaster.
>> Shoo through fire again.
>> Clocking in just shy of 21 minutes in
length. As each man one-ups each other
with the next spot, you wonder what more
they can do with a table and ladder.
>> Oh my jeez. What in the Oh my god. The
crowd was usually a massive factor
during ECW matches, but for this, it's
like they were overcome with a stunned
silence.
>> Yeah, it's hella quieted.
>> Historically, Brock Lesnar has been the
antithesis of comedy in the ring city,

>> Yeah, [ __ ]
>> But over the years, some of the beast's
actions in the square circle have MADE

BROCK LEFT.
>> Oh my god.
Brock's not going to like that. Look at
this.
>> Crazy moment, bro.
>> Particularly his comedic facial
expressions made in the heat of battle.
>> Limitless Keith Lee. I can assure you
Brock Lesnar has never encountered quite
like Keith Lee. THE KAMURA THAT BROCK

>> look at his face.
>> Brock's pants ripped during his match
with Cody Rhodess at SummerSlam 2023 and
only got more torn up as the physicality
continued. Vans Lesnar may have an even
worse wardrobe malfunction. By the end,
his drawers were almost hanging off. has
it HOOKED
a third cross.
>> Commentators such as the legendary JR
and King have done their bit in
enhancing the matches while also making
them hilarious in their own way. That's
because their trademark bickering made
the action even more entertaining like a
over the edge 1998 which saw Vince
McMahon stack the deck against Stone
Cold Steve Austin. The Rattlesnake
defended the WWF title on the night
against Dude Love. The chairman made
himself the special referee while the
Stooges Patterson and Brisco lurked at
ringside. The stipulation stated Austin
could not attack McMahon and Vince's
hand had to count the three for the
match to end. The crowd was electric for
what was a signature attitude era style
main event and one of the very best at
that.
>> Vince is gay.
>> I think it's just Vince is dead.
>> We got to see the trademark justosition
between Ross and Lawler on commentary as
McMahon and his goons kept trying to
screw Stone Cold.
>> This is a reminder that this MATCH IS A
NO DISQUALIFICATION.
OH, WATCH. SINCE WHEN?
>> Since when?
>> That's not right. He's reminding you,
COMEDIAN, BUT REMINDER.
>> THIS IS A REMINDER IN THIS MATCH. FALLS
COUNT ANYWHERE.
>> SINCE WHEN?
>> Since when?
>> Not right.
>> JR was the voice of the fans and King
was the corporate sucker.
>> The Undertaker intervened on Steve's
behalf.
They haven't lost since a win. As JR
rejoiced
only by his hand only
>> King on the other hand worried about the
condition of Vince
Daryl.
>> Are you all right Jerry? YOU REAP WHAT
YOU SAW.
>> JR. was also against McMahon at
Wrestlemania 22, but this time for
different reasons. After Vince had
publicly fired and humiliated Jim on
television in the months prior, the
creative for that story line was poor
and ended without a conclusion.
>> YOU'RE FIRED, JR. YOU HEARD IT. YOU'RE
FIRED. YOU'RE FIRED.
>> Mania 22, however, acted as JR's return.
The only form of physical revenge Jim
would get on McMahon would be through
Sha in the noholes crash.
>> Is headed to hell is Mr. McMahon. And in
my opinion, I don't think you can wait
to get there so it can take over.
>> Very lost to a game at Vince during the
match while Lola did his usual sticking
up for the chairman.
>> YOU'RE A 60-YEAR-OLD MAN S YOUR ASS on
worldwide television. This is middle
age.
>> It was a one-sided mauling as Michaels
laid waste to McMahon much TO
>> Sha could have ended things at any time.
Jim though clearly didn't want it to
stop since he was having so much fun
seeing Vince get destroyed.
>> Welcome to Home Depot.
>> King called out Ross for being so
biased. But even outside of the kayfair
realm, the stuff Jim was saying rings
true.
>> He's made more people than even alive
than anyone alive. That was a lot of
ground and I'm very biased. I apologize.
His chest size is 666. McMahon obviously
lost the match, but to JR's dismay,
Vince was still alive by the end of it.
>> But he's still breathing.
>> WWE's quest to defeat Triple H for the
World Heavyweight Championship at
Wrestlemania 19. Booker's criminal past
was a key point of contention in the
feud with the game proclaiming how
someone like Book shouldn't be world
champion.
>> Somebody like
you
doesn't get to be a world champion.
>> A sentiment Lawler agreed with on
commentary. While JR was the voice of
the people like always at Mania 19,
their difference in opinion was
noticeable right from the entrances.
>> You don't want some street thug being a
champion, do you?
>> That's crazy that
>> King Booker for his troubled upbringing
compared to the squeaky clean Triple H.
>> Say, "Yeah, you're with the WWE." Yeah,
Triple H IS OUR WORLD CHAMPION. CAN'T
IMAGINE GOING around saying, "Yeah,
Booker T is our world champion." You
know, Booker T, THE GUY WHOSE FAMILY
PORTRAIT IS A COURTROOM SKETCH.
>> JR. cleverly fired back referencing
Lawler's run-ins with the law.
>> People don't hold it against you for
some of the mistakes you've made. You're
not a stranger to a courtroom.
>> The announcers then circle back to the
game's prior comments about Booker.
>> You heard Triple H himself say that
people like Booker T won't ever be
champion. What does that mean? People
Booker T. What kind of people is Booker
D? Well, he's a very good Okay, I'm
going tell you. He's a very good
wrestler.
>> As Jim continued to will the five-time
WCW champion on Lola's constant
anti-Booker and Pro Triple H sentiment
began to annoy Jr. more and more.
>> He's doing the gentlemanly thing. Help
him up, Nate.
>> Not acting like A GENTLEMAN TO ME.
>> HE'S TRYING TO HELP BOOKER T BACK.
>> OH, GOOD. NOBODY'S GOING TO believe
that. That part of me. He's trying to
help him back.
>> Booker T fell off down the step
>> IN THIS MATCH UP. OH, CLEAR. He
>> get the HELL DOWN. FAIR. NO BUSINESS UP
ON THE APRON.
>> HE ATTACKED THE NATURE BOY FOR NO REASON
TO CALL, PLEASE. SOFT.
>> SOFT.
>> OH, LOOK. And Flair gets this is very
disrespectful on the part OF BOOKER T.
HAS NO BUSINESS UP THERE
KNEE. THAT LEFT KNEE MAY BE COMPLETELY
COMPLETELY RIPPED AND TORN. WHY ARE YOU
WORRIED ABOUT HIS KNEE WHEN HE LANDED
RIGHT ON TRIPLE H'S HEAD? WHY DON'T YOU
RUN DOWN AND GIVE HIM MOUTH TO MOUTH
RECIPATION? He's so damn worried about
it. HUBRY BOOKER GET under
good call refer
very observant referee. Good call ref.
The match may have not ended on a strong
note as Triple H took an age to cover
Booker before scoring the victory after
just one pedigree, but J.R. and King's
performance helped make this a memorable
bout.
>> Triple H's got the pedigree.
>> I think Nate's going to have a stroke.
>> He's got the hand on it and it's over.
>> The destruction of the Spanish announce
table has been a longunning feed in WWE,
but most fans will have never heard the
actual commentary from Hugo Seven and
Carlos Cabrera during the chaos. No, no,
no, no, no.
>> Oh my god.
>> For this section, we've picked out some
of their funniest during those occasions
when the wrestlers got too close for
comfort to the Spanish announce table.
>> Please don't do it.
Sometimes the table didn't even have to
Google called us to make us laugh.
>> THE ROCK KICKING YOUR MONKEY ASS.
Oh no.
Oh my god,
my my amigo.
That will never not be funny. My amigo.
No,
>> thanks for coming.
>> JR is back on call again for our next
example. But even he couldn't save this
abomination. WCW was full of horrible
matches that had fans laughing in ironic
fashion all throughout. The company was
especially infamous for their elaborate
gimmick matches that left fans asking,
"What were they smoking? Cuz it must be
good." The Chamber of Horrors match from
the 1991 Halloween Havoc pitted six
great wrestlers in one big shitfest.
Abdullah the Butcher and the future
giant Gonzalez were also involved.
>> Man, this one is hard to call.
>> That's crazy. It was an eight-man tag
team cage match where the only way to
win was to lock any opponent in the
electric chair and fry them till their
toes upon flipping the switch. However,
the switch fell down during the match,
meaning Cactus Jack had to bring it back
up only to pull it down again for the
finish.
>> The handle that you pulled to
electrocute the guy flops down, pushes
it back up and pulls it down in there,
BUT IT'S ABDULLAH.
>> I DON'T KNOW THE CONDITION OF Abdullah
butchered, and I don't see anybody
rushing to give him mouthtomouth
resuscitation. As a matter of fact,
>> I mean, that's just a crazy concept. You
put someone in an electric chair and
shocked them to death. What?
Last and most certainly least, we've got
a Stinker from the women's season of NXT
in 2010. It felt like this series was
set up to fail since the announcers were
given free reign to crap on just about
everything that took place each week.
>> Right here is is is vintage magazine
right here. It's vintage magazine. Like
one match. It's vintage.
>> A vast virus database has been updated.
>> What in the world is going on? Well,
we're not the only ones bored with this.
>> But then again, that's the only reason
we even remember it to begin with.
Michael Cole was certainly the highlight
of the season and one match where he
completely stole the show occurred on
the October 19th broadcast where Caitlyn
wrestled Maxine.
>> Is this MATCH STILL GOING ON?
>> I don't know WHAT IS GOING ON.
>> THE match was so bad Cole got up from
the announce table and took a phone
call.
>> He's on the phone,
>> bro. He literally just died. Just listen
to the commentator's reaction and keep
your eye on Cole face palming at the
desk.
