Video summary
The central subject of the discussion is a debate regarding the interpretation of John 10:28 and its implications for eternal security, specifically whether it is possible to lose one's salvation. The speaker asserts that there are no known Greek scholars or grammarians who have refuted the absolute nature of this verse, which states that nothing can pluck believers out of the Father's hand. While acknowledging that some scholars like Howard Marshall discuss related topics such as perseverance and falling away in other contexts, the speaker maintains that none have specifically addressed John 10:28 to contradict its meaning. The argument posits that if this verse is understood correctly, it guarantees that those who walk with God will never be lost, rendering any scenario of losing salvation impossible under this specific interpretation.
However, the conversation shifts to address the numerous biblical warnings against falling away, such as the exhortation in Second Peter 3:17 not to wrestle with scriptures to one's own destruction. The speaker argues that these warnings do not negate the absolute promise of John 10:28 but rather serve as necessary instructions for believers on how to maintain their walk with God. A key distinction is drawn between the ability to turn away from the truth and the impossibility of a saved person actually being lost once they are truly in Christ. The speaker emphasizes that while individuals can make bad choices or have bad thoughts, these do not equate to losing salvation unless one actively decides to stop walking with God, at which point the absolute guarantee of John 10:28 would no longer apply because the condition of "walking with me" has been abandoned.
The dialogue further explores the role of the Holy Spirit and personal responsibility in maintaining salvation. The speaker clarifies that while believers are responsible for continuing to walk in love and obedience, this responsibility is a result of being saved rather than a means to earn or maintain it. If salvation depended on human effort alone, the absolute statement in John 10:28 would be compromised, but since God keeps believers through His power and the indwelling Spirit, the loss of salvation is only possible if the individual chooses to leave that relationship. The speaker uses analogies, such as a dog returning to its vomit, to illustrate that turning away from the truth reveals a person's true nature, yet the initial state of being saved remains secure unless one voluntarily departs from it.
Ultimately, the conclusion reached is that the promise in John 10:28 stands as an absolute guarantee for those who continue to walk with God, effectively nullifying any scenario where a believer could be lost while still abiding in Christ. The speaker insists that dismissing this verse based on other warning passages creates a false dichotomy, as the warnings are intended to guide believers to keep walking rather than suggesting they can lose their standing. The discussion ends with an affirmation that while bad thoughts or moments of weakness may occur, they do not constitute falling away unless there is a deliberate decision to stop following God, thereby preserving the integrity of the eternal security doctrine as presented in this specific verse.

There's two things I'd really like to
bring up. The specific nature of John
10:28
>> and there are no New Testament scholars
that refute OSAS.
>> That's not what I said. That is not what
I said.
>> Well, tell me what you said.
>> I said it. Matter of fact, I
specifically said there are Greek
scholars or people that know Greek who
are scholars who do believe that you can
lose your salvation. I've said that over
and over again. However, there is not
one Greek scholar, not one Greek
grimaran, that's the key, one Greek
grimaran that has refuted or written or
spoken about John 10:28 to say that you
can lose salvation. So to be clear,
you're saying that there are scholars
that would disagree with you, but you
haven't found one that will unpack John
10:28.
>> Not one that I found. If you found one,
I would love to know.
>> Okay. Um, how about uh Howard Marshall?
>> Covered him before. I covered Howard
Marshall. And guess what? He doesn't.
Now, do you
>> Okay, show me.
I don't I don't know how I can show you.
>> Tell me where to go to. Tell me where to
go to if it's somewhere online. I can go
to it.
>> Okay. This is what you do then. Uh you
look up a work that he did. Uh let's
see. Kept by the power of God, a study
of perseverance and falling away where
he specifically
deals with Hebrews chapter 10 verse 28.
And
>> John 10.
>> Yes. John 10:28. He specifically deals
with that. But, you know, I don't need
to unpack that. You can look at it at
your leisure. But what we can do is just
talk about that verse. Just talk about
John 10:28. And um my
>> I'm I'm going to go ahead and buy this
book of his.
>> Okay.
>> I'm going to go ahead and buy this book
of his
>> and if he doesn't talk about it, if he
doesn't cover it, then you owe me $20.
I'm not going to owe you nothing cuz he
covers it.
>> Okay. Out of his way to cover it.
>> Okay.
>> One week later.
>> All right, sir. How may I help you? And
do you have my money?
>> Oh, shoot. You really want this money,
don't you?
>> But listen, you I'm just joking. But you
made me buy a book that's that's not
there. That what you told me to go look
for is not there.
>> Well,
I'm not going to owe you nothing cuz he
covers it.
>> Okay. go out of his way to cover it.
>> Okay.
>> Check your super chat.
>> Check my super chat.
>> Yeah.
>> Thank you. So, no, no, no, no, no, no,
don't. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, sir. Look what he did. No, no. You
said, "Can this help?" By the way, for
the record, I never said go buy the
book. You told me in this book the
answer to
>> You didn't tell me that.
>> I said all that. I did. I said all of
that. I never said go buy it. Never said
that. I said go.
>> All right. So when people tell me that
other scholars have spoken about the
Greek of John 10:28. There's none that
have so far. Again, I'm not putting
everything in in Google. Google said
there's no known um Greek Rome scholar
that has addressed John 10:28 to refute
it. Um I asked Huh. This is the book you
got.
>> Hold on. Let me let me make let me make
you solo so I can see what the book is.
Kept by the power of God. Yes, it is.
>> Okay. And did you go to
>> I believe that's a book. Let me make
sure.
>> Hold on. Hold on. Let me pull it up.
>> And I'm going to tell you this is what I
would have said if we wouldn't had that
uh technical breakdown.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I got that. Kept by the
power of God. uh a a study of
perseverance and falling away.
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> Yeah.
>> And page 181 is where he mentions John
10:28.
But he doesn't talk about it enough,
>> but
>> he doesn't it doesn't satisfy your
demand. So, if I would not have gotten
cut off that day, what I was what I was
moving towards saying is I I've got
access to these theologians and the
things that they write, but none of that
none of that preempts
um and everybody can receive this, you
included. I I know you see things. I
know. So, don't say don't say I'm
telling you you can't you you you can't
get revelation or whatever. I'm not
saying that.
>> But what I am saying cuz look, I'm still
learning. Let me make sure everybody
understand. I don't know everything.
>> I'm trying to help you.
>> I am no crazy war.
>> I'm trying to help you learn.
>> Everything. I do not. I do not.
>> Okay. So, so, so, so we're straight
here. We're straight that you still
can't find a scholar to refute John
10:28 in the Greek. Not I can find lots
of scholars that talk around maybe even
use John 28. But you're looking for the
the the uh exoggetic
um attention given to that particular
verse to talk about no not ever will be
taken out of my
>> Here's why. Here's why. Jeff, let me ask
a question. I might be wrong. I could be
wrong. But And you think I'm wrong?
>> I think you're wrong about a lot of
things, but
>> No, no, no. I know not about a lot of
things, but but but about this. You
think I'm wrong about my understanding
of John 10:28, but if I'm right about,
let's just say, so let's play
hypotheticals for a second. If I'm right
about John 10:28,
what does that mean for eternal
security?
Remember, just before he got got caught
off, I said, "You're going to you're
going to find that I agree. You're gonna
find that I agree with that statement in
John 10:28. I don't disagree with it. I
agree.
>> No, no, no, no. About my my
understanding of John 10:28.
>> Understanding of it. Let's talk about
that. And of course, you and I are going
to see it differently. But the way that
I see that is I don't I don't believe
that the Lord is conflating everybody
all together.
>> Well, hold on, hold on. I'm I'm going to
come back to that. But you didn't answer
my question. My question was if I'm
right about it, if my understanding is
correct. As a matter of fact, she says,
"Answer the question." And she gave you
three mean emojis. My question, if I'm
right,
>> y'all love me. Stop hating on me.
>> No, we love you. Listen, we love you. If
I'm right though, but Jeff, answer my
question. Jeff, Jeff, you are an
intelligent man. So, if I'm right, if my
understanding of John 10:28 is right,
what does that do for eternal security?
That means it's true, right?
>> Nobody can ever be lost. If you're
right, that means nobody can ever be
lost. Ever.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> So, I can't find anyone. Don't you think
it's weird that even the most ardent
um uh detractor opponent of eternal
security and they know Greek never
touched John 10:28 the one that we
always bring up.
>> Why?
>> Because the way they look at it is the
way that I look at it. And the way that
I look at it is that it's an emphatic
absolute statement for those that have
decided they're not going to put their
hand to the plow and look back because
that would be unfit for the kingdom. I
believe there are so many things in
scripture that that warn us that warn
us. I can't ignore them. So there's an
emphatic statement that the Lord is
making that if you will walk with me,
this is an absolute guarantee. Nobody's
going to pull you out of my hand. you
will never be lost. But if you make a
decision like Adam and Eve did, they had
everything perfect.
>> So Jeff,
>> they still make a bad choice.
>> That same that same that same um
uh invite, if you will walk with me.
>> Yeah.
>> Isn't that the same invite that they had
prior to Christ?
Wasn't Israel told the same thing? If
you walk with me?
>> Of course.
>> Okay. They didn't, did they?
No.
>> Why not?
>> Well, you're going to say because they
didn't have the new heart put in by
Ezekiel 37.
>> You know what I'll say, but I'm asking
you why not? Why didn't they?
>> I'm saying what you're saying. I'm
telling you.
>> Oh, you agree with that?
>> I absolutely agree with that.
>> Okay. And so, if they're giving a new
heart, what does God say will happen?
Will follow them once he get new heart
in my ways. Right.
>> Exactly. cause cause and and they will
love him and have life.
>> Yes. But see where you
man I love you but you you have a you
just have a certain way that you're
looking at this that
>> another way to look at it.
>> There's a lot No, no, no, no, no.
There's a lot of things in the scripture
that tell us even in the New Testament.
I mean, my goodness, even Paul was
backed up by Peter, and Peter said, um,
don't fall away from your own
steadfastness and wrestle with the
scriptures like others do to their own
destruction. When you get things like
that,
>> don't fall away from your own
steadfastness. Where's that verse?
>> Second Peter chapter 3
verse uh I don't know 14, 15, 16,
somewhere in there in the 14 I mean in
the in the teens.
Second Peter 3
and and Peter is warning everybody.
Hey, pay attention to our brother Paul
and don't be wrestling with the
scriptures like others do to their own
destruction. Make sure you stand fast
and that you don't slip from your own
steadfastness. Okay,
>> that's a warning.
>> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. So, let's
let's put the verse on the screen.
>> Go ahead, please.
>> There it is. fall from your own
steadfastness.
>> Yes.
>> What are they falling from?
>> Uh how about they're falling from grace?
How about they're falling from the Lord?
How about these are people that were in
God and he's warning them? He's warning
them. Do I just ignore it? I mean, if I
listen to you,
>> but you turn that word into a different
meaning, though.
>> Listen, listen. If I listen to you, and
I know you don't mean anybody any harm.
I think you're trying to really help
people. really really helpful. But if I
listen to you on this, it will be very
troublesome.
>> Why?
>> Because then I'm saying, "Well, I can't
fall. So, let me just go ahead and live
my life cuz I can't fall."
>> No one No one believes that.
>> No. This is where people like yourself
would do these straw man. No one said
that.
>> Matter of fact, we we say this. I say
this.
>> If you believe you can never lose your
salvation,
>> Yeah. Um, the question is going to be
though, do you are you saved? How do you
know you're saved?
>> No, that's not the question.
>> The way that you test to see if you're
saved is by your own walk.
>> No.
>> Is by what you what you I'm sorry.
>> That's not the question.
>> It's the question I'm saying.
>> But that's not the question.
>> The way you know you're saved
is if you have Christ.
The way you know you have Christ is if
you're being led by the spirit. How are
you living? Right.
>> Yes, Corey. I agree.
>> So, why do you think so? Because I
believe that I can't lose my salvation.
You think I'm going to go live how I
want to live? Let me ask you a question.
So, have you lost your Have you lost
yours,
>> Cy? That's not a good question either.
>> Yeah, it is.
>> How about No, no. How about asking me
this?
>> I got to I I got to ask the question you
want me to ask. Okay. around people that
have walked a strong walk. They've lived
their life. They love God. And then for
whatever reason, they went backwards.
Have you ever seen that, Jeff? Yeah, I
have seen that.
>> Okay. So, thank you for telling me the
question to ask. Now, I ask another
question. Have you lost your salvation,
Jeff?
>> No.
>> You're save. So, you haven't. You're
saved now?
>> I'm saved this very moment.
>> This very moment. And you've never lost
your salvation?
>> No. As a matter of fact, I will never
lose my salvation. However, I can walk
away from it.
>> So, what are you doing right now that
you haven't lost your salvation?
>> I'm just living for the Lord, man.
>> Oh, so so you're living for the Lord.
>> I'm living here's what I'm doing. I'm
living my life according to the leading
of the spirit of God that always moves
me toward love. So much love that when I
mele
back. The reason why you have not lost
your salvation, the reason why Jeff has
not lost his salvation is because of
what Jeff is doing.
Well, you don't think Jeff is
responsible to keep himself in the love
of God. You think I'm ear I'm I have no
responsibility in that. I can't I can't
do anything. I'm just in it. And no
matter what I do, I can never ever ever
>> Because of your salvation, you have been
given responsibilities. But your
responsibility isn't to keep your
salvation in view of your salvation
work. The Bible says not work for your
salvation, but because you're saved, you
ought to work. But you're telling me
though, the reason why you're saved is
because you're doing something. You're
doing something to stay safe.
>> Yeah.
>> What is Jesus doing? What what is the
Lord doing to keep you saved?
>> Well, see, first of all, again, the the
very foundation, the very paradigm that
you work from is off. I mean, you look,
you got a lot of things right, but when
it comes to this, your paradigm is off.
And I don't think I can ever do anything
about that. So, answer my question about
it. We can be
>> You can help me and everyone else here.
>> I asked you I asked you a question.
>> What is Jesus doing? What is the Lord
doing?
>> Listen,
>> is he doing Is he doing anything to keep
you saved?
>> Yes.
>> What?
>> He giving me the Holy Spirit, man.
>> What's the Holy Spirit doing to keep you
safe?
>> What? What's the Holy Spirit doing to
keep you saved?
>> He's Oh,
you really want to hear the answer to
that? Cuz
>> No, I asked the question just to be
planned. Yeah. What is he doing to keep
you saved?
>> I'm going to answer the question.
>> Okay.
>> He's put his spirit in me, man. He's put
a spirit of love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, goodness, gentleness,
meekness, which means I'm teachable,
temperance.
>> Okay, that hold on. Stop. Can I Can I
pause you for a second, Jeff? We're
having a good conversation. He put that
in you.
>> Yes.
>> What text tells you that he puts that in
you?
>> First go to Galatians 5:22.
>> It didn't say he put that in you. He
said that's the result of having the
spirit in you. He didn't say he put that
in you.
>> Dude, how in the heck are you going to
get that without the spirit being in
you?
>> You said he put So he puts Let's go
there. Let's
>> No, no, no, no, no. Let's go with your
thinking. Let's go with your thinking.
Does the Bible call that fruit of the
spirit? It's the result of having the
spirit and fruit of the spirit karpos
result.
>> Oh. Oh. Oh. So that's fruit. What does
fruit mean?
>> But the fruit of the spirit is love.
Joy. He he he put he put kindness in
you.
>> Yes.
>> So Christians are kind. All Christians
are kind and patient.
>> Yeah. You know where they are?
>> Where?
>> Right there in that same scripture what
tells you to get out of the flesh which
is where a lot of people are and get in
the spirit because your choice
>> and he puts self-control in you too.
Huh? Your choice to be in the flesh is
your choice to be in the flesh. And your
choice to be in the spirit is your
choice to be in the spirit. He gives it
to you.
>> You don't understand the the verbiage
then. The verbiage is simply saying that
what flows from you having the spirit
will be those things. Not necessarily
always because we we've seen Christians
not be kind or be gentle but still be
Christian. I'm going to be with you. So,
so my question is this though, the Holy
Spirit is keeping you saved.
>> Yes.
>> And you are too.
>> As long as I walk with the Lord. Yeah.
>> What is the Holy Spirit doing to keep
you walking in the Lord? Cuz apparently
the Holy Spirit doesn't keep you walking
in the Lord. Huh?
>> Do you accept the fact that he's put
love in me or there love in me that
comes from God? I accept the fact that
that if you have the Holy Spirit then
you will love.
>> Sure.
>> Do you understand that that love that
love is what is generated by the Holy
Spirit? It's called fruit.
>> So wait a second. So he put faithfulness
in you?
>> Yes. Faith.
>> So the re So the reason why you're So
the reason why you're faithful is
because the Lord did that.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh. Oh, he's the reason why you So, he's
the reason why you stay saved.
>> Yeah. Who said Who said anything
different?
>> You did. You said you keep yourself
saved earlier.
>> No. No. You're not. Nope. Nope. Let's
get it really, really straight. Yes. The
Lord keeps me that way. But does the
Bible say, "For as many as are led by
the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God." Romans chapter 8:14. Doesn't that
Bible tell you? Doesn't doesn't
the scripture tell us in many places to
be faithful, to walk with God, to obey?
Does the scripture say that? Or does the
scripture say you receive the Holy
Ghost, you're good to go, do whatever
you want to do now?
>> No one says that. See, you're making
you're making these little false
statements. No one's ever said that you
can go do what I know.
>> No, hold on. No one's ever said you can
go do what you want to do. No one said
that. But again going to the verse and
and this is this is it. This is this is
how we know uh I'm right and you're not.
This is how we know.
>> This is how we know you have you've
moved into a place of arrogantly
thinking you're right and I can't tell
you any different.
>> So all the other Greek scholars are
arrogantly thinking the same thing. Huh?
>> All the other Greek scholars don't agree
with that position.
>> There's no Greek scholar known to man.
There's no Greek scholar known to man
that can defeat that position. So what
they're going off of Hold on. So they're
relying on just like you their own
feelings.
>> They're not. Hold on. They couldn't be
relying on the text. Jeff, if they were
relying on the text, they'd be using the
text.
>> So why does I, Howard Marshall, run away
from the text?
>> I don't think you understand the text. I
don't think you understand it. I think
you know it. I think you know the Greek.
I think you know all all of the
breakdown everything but you don't
understand the intention.
>> Does Daniel Wallace know it?
>> I don't know. I don't know who knows
anything really.
>> Okay. The people. Okay. What What Bible
do you like to read out of?
>> The Holy One.
>> Which one? Which translation do you like
to read out of?
>> Let's see. New King James. King James
Amplified. Uh New
uh what is it? the New
Living Translation. I like to read out
of a lot. I will study. Here's a here's
a better question. I will study out of
the King James. I'll study with that.
>> I'll read them all. So if I if I were to
go to every single Greek textbook
or every Greek grammar, a secondyear
Greek book or even an advanced one or if
I were to find commentary from the Greek
scholars,
the best ones that we have, all of them
or everyone that speaks about this
verse, everybody,
every textbook, every grammar, every
scholar that speaks about John 10:28
says what I say or I I'll put it this
way. I say what they say. They're not
following me.
>> So hold on.
>> No, no, no, no, no, no. You're saying
because what you're saying is I
arrogantly believe that I'm right.
>> I No, no, no. Listen, listen to what I'm
saying. I believe you're right about
John 10:28. When you break it down, it
means what it says. But the arrogant
thing, let me be clear. The arrogant
thing is to dismiss
all of the warnings that the scriptures
talk about.
>> Don't I talk about those warnings?
>> Jeff, do I talk about those warnings?
Have name a passage in the Bible, a
warning passage or anything else that
I've never covered. Name one. Name name
the one that I haven't covered.
>> Well, that's a crazy question. I don't
know.
>> Okay.
>> I just said go just
>> pick P pick a warning passage or
>> what I just said. Second Peter chapter
3. Go there.
>> I was just at second Peter chapter 3.
>> You told me to pick one. There's one we
didn't
>> I just And I and and I just answered it.
I just covered it, didn't I?
>> I don't know. Did you really cover it?
Cuz I don't recall you really covering
that.
You went there. You definitely went
there. We got our thing is we'll go into
so many different directions and
permutations of a conversation that you
may start there but that's not that
doesn't mean we fully executed it.
>> So if I have a warning if I have a
warning
>> if I've got a passage if I got a passage
>> Yeah.
>> Um
it's a warning passage.
>> Yeah. Wouldn't there be wouldn't it
stand a reason there's some people there
that read this text or hear this that
aren't saved but think they're saved?
>> Well, we're going to go to that again.
I'm asking question there's people
reading these letters that you will say,
"Oh, they're really not part of the
kingdom of God. They're not really
saved. They're not really
>> So, are all the people that are reading
this?" So, everyone that would hear
>> I understand your argument. You are
saying that this letter that's addressed
to the Christians somehow has made it
into the hands of the secular people
too. So let me make sure if I'm Peter
I'm putting in a warning to the secular
people even though it was intended for
the saved people. I need to have this in
here for the secular people. Is that
what you were telling me? I'll tell you
again, after
the people that will hear the hear these
words, all of the people that show up
are not saved. When it's read in the
hearing of the body, you're telling me
that everybody that hears because they
don't the the unsaved people aren't
don't have their own Hold on, hold on,
hold on, hold on, hold on. The unsaved
people don't have their own copy. So,
they'll show up to hear the reading.
This this how church was then. They will
show up to hear the reading. Who's going
to show up to hear the reading? Only
Christians. Uh, only true believers,
right?
>> No, wait a minute. What did you just
say?
>> When the church When the church shows
up, I think you said that.
>> When all the people show when when when
the people show up,
>> it's it's read to the church, right?
>> Yes, it's read to the church because
people don't secular people.
>> Hold on. My question is, do you think
that only true believers show up? You
don't think that any non-believers show
up?
>> I don't care if the non-believers show
up.
>> I don't care what you That's not the
question I asked you. See, you're
running. I asked you. Do you think that
any Do you think any non Yes or no? Any
non-believers would show up to hear?
>> Let me see. To be honest with you, with
the pressure that the people that were
under in that day of being a Christian,
I don't know if there were unbelievers
that would show up with the intention of
staying unbelievers. So, let me say
>> that wasn't the question I asked you
though. I asked you, do non would
non-believers show up?
In Acts 8, was there was there a
non-believer there in Acts 8 listening?
Yes,
>> there there were non-believers
everywhere, Corey, when the gospel was
free. Thank you. There were not ever.
>> So therefore,
therefore, cuz Peter in this very same
book talks about dogs who show up.
>> Yeah. Used to be believers.
>> No, he didn't say that. He never said
they used to be believers.
>> See, that's what I mean by your
paradigm. That's what I mean.
>> Here's here's the proverb.
>> Doesn't he say doesn't he say it was
better for these dogs
>> to It's like the dog returning to its
vomit. It's better for them that they
would ne that they that it was better
for them to never have known the way of
truth than to know it and have turned
away.
>> What do they know what? Know what? Know
what? Know the way of truth.
>> Yes. Read the whole thing.
>> I just did.
>> Just as a matter of fact, do do you see
this? You see are you are you watching
the screen?
>> I'm looking at your screen.
>> Do you notice that I have something
highlighted in yellow?
>> Yes, sir.
>> Cuz we've cover we've covered this ad
nauseium. So they would have known the
way
>> than having known it and turned away. So
knowing what? So knowing So here's what
I've said before. You guys don't listen.
I can say it a thousand times and I can
promise you every single person like
Jeff is not going to listen. I've said
it. People can hear the gospel
and and hear what I'm what I'm saying
because clearly the gospel is truth.
You're not listening. Clearly the gospel
is truth. So I can hear the
Clearly the gospel is truth. So I can
hear the truth and turn away from the
truth. Can I?
>> Absolutely.
>> Okay.
>> But that doesn't mean this is the
situation.
>> I can know that's the truth and turn
away from it. Can I?
>> Yes, you can. But that doesn't mean
that's the situation.
>> It doesn't mean it's not. How do we know
it?
>> Well, here's how we do know.
Here is the But here's what it says. A
dog returns to its own vomit.
>> Why does it say that? Because that's
what the person is. They return to what
they are.
>> Oh. Oh. What is the first
a pig or a s
returns back to the meer?
>> What was said to pree to uh uh say those
words.
>> See, the problem is you don't listen.
Problem is you don't cuz cuz I told you
yours all of your analogies are done
away with. All of your scenarios are
done away with with John 10:28 because
the possibility
No, you don't because Jesus is saying
the possibility
the possibility of something happening
is all inclusive of every scenario you
can think of.
If he says impossible, then that means
every scenario you can think of is done
away with. Am I correct on that? If I
say something is if I say something is
impossible, then can you come up with a
scenario that makes it possible?
>> No, I can't.
>> So, okay. So, if it's impossible, there
is no such scenario to make what Jesus
says possible. So, you can't throw in a
scenario if they stop walking, if they
turn away, if they stop believing.
>> I don't know if you said that the way
you meant it.
>> No, I said exactly the way I meant it.
I've said it. I said it I said it
multiple times before. Not the first
time I said it. If you say something is
impossible,
that nullifies any possibility or any
scenario which you just agreed to. So
pick a scenario. Whatever one you pick
cannot be cannot compass or get past the
impossibility of it.
And how long according to John 10:20,
the rule of the Greek, how long does
this ne uh emphatic negation of a
subjunctive last? now into eternity. It
can never go away because that means
then so therefore if I if I say
something's impossible if I say for
example it's impossible for Jeff to be
right or if it's impossible for Jeff to
be wrong. If I say it's impossible for
Jeff to be wrong, you can't come up with
any scenario for Jeff to be wrong.
But what if he got the answer wrong?
That means he won't get it wrong. That
means if he says two plus if if two plus
two let me ask a question. Is it
impossible for God to lie?
>> That absolutely is true.
>> Okay. Now, can I think of any scenario
where by which it can be possible?
>> No.
>> Okay. If it's impossible
for God to fail, is there any scenario
whereby it's possible for God to fail?
No.
If it's impossible for a sheep to ever
perish, then there's no scenario where
by which it's possible for the sheep to
perish. Right.
>> True.
>> Thank you.
>> Again. Again.
>> Thank you for hearing it
>> again. Again. But here's what you would
also say that uh you know, we're sheep,
right?
>> Mhm.
>> We're all sheep. So, let me make sure I
understand your argument. Let me make
sure I understand this part. You're
saying that once you are saved, I mean
filled with the spirit, washed by the
blood of Jesus, falling in love with the
Lord, you will not have any more bad
thoughts
that could lead you into error.
>> That is funny.
>> Not ever. Never. No. Not ever.
This one will never hear or listen.
>> That's what it says in Greek.
>> That's what we do.
>> Or he.
>> This is what we do. I told you from the
beginning. I believe I believe in the in
fact state.
>> No, you don't. No, you don't. You're
just saying that, but you don't believe
it cuz you're fighting on it.
>> I absolutely believe it. I just believe
you're misappropriating it. And then
because I'm telling you that I'm wrong.
>> How How should I apply it then? How
should I apply it? You should apply.
Okay, let me tell you how to apply it.
You should understand then I got then I
got to move on to the next person.
>> Yeah, I really wanted to get to Isaiah
28, but we ain't got time for that.
>> We can do it another time.
>> Next time we can do that, but here's
what I'm going to say. Understand that
the Lord has an intention. You've kind
of made some absolutes,
some absolute references out of absolute
statements. You said you're going to
tell me how to apply John 10:28.
>> No, no. Listen, listen, listen. You've
made some statements that are absolute
for everybody
and they're supposed to be absolute for
believers.
Your statement is supposed to be for
believers. What you're saying is what
you're saying is that there's this
all-encompassing group of people that
the Lord could be talking about and
those people are not included. Those
people are not included as those that
are saved. What Jesus is saying is if
you'll walk with me, that's why I keep
saying it. If you'll walk with me, this
is absolute. and other places like just
not to be disingenuous with the
scriptures but using other places that
he has talked about this I cannot
divorce myself I can't disabuse myself
of other passages that are warnings
can't do it
>> so again you did not deal with John you
said I'm misapplying John 10:20 I asked
you how how do I apply it you went
somewhere else but fine
>> if you keep walking I don't know why you
keep it's almost like you don't listen
to what I said or my explanation if you
Keep walking. Let me just pause for a
second. Let me pause for a second. Just
Just hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
Hold on. Just Just watch your screen for
a second. I I didn't rehearse this. You
and I didn't plan this.
>> Ladies and gentlemen,
>> have I said if you keep walking,
didn't I? I've always said that you have
to keep walking. You have to keep
following. You have to keep believing.
Did I have to keep abiding? Have I not
always said that? I've always said that.
And then to go along with that, I've
also stated that you will keep walking.
You will keep abiding. You will keep the
word.
I've said that.
>> Will you ever
>> What?
>> Will you ever have any bad thoughts?
Where have I covered? Where have I
covered, ladies and gentlemen, that you
will that you will keep the word and you
will keep walking or you will keep
bearing fruit.
>> I got a very specific question on the
table.
>> Nope. I got to let you go a little bit.
I got to let you go because I got other
folks. And
>> so here's what Jesus says.
>> He says that the person that hears the
word with a good heart, what will they
do?
They will hold it fast
>> and they will bear fruit. How long?
>> My question, my question was, will you
ever have a bad thought? That was my
question.
>> Yes, you will have a bad thought.
>> Okay. Thank you. Thank you.
Okay.
>> All right. So, listen.
>> We'll unpack that later. Go on to your
other people. Love you. God bless you.
>> I love you too, brother. You take care.
