The Worst Magnificent Monsters Opening In History (OUCH)

Today's the day I do it. I pull a Grandmaster [music] rare. >> What's up, guys? We are back with another search for Grandmaster rares. And if you've been following my journey, I personally have been opening this recently. I opened a lot for Front Line, my local store. I open some on whatnot in a couple different streams, but I've been opening my own packs recently, trying to get really, well, really anything. I've gotten nothing. Obviously, I want a grandmaster. That's the ultimate goal. But I haven't even gotten a Starlight overframe yet or extended art or full art, whatever you want to call it. I just default to overframe. I think it sounds the best. So, today's the day we break that streak. But before that, we have a giveaway. I'm giving away the underframe dark magical curtain and dark magician, the pharaoh servant. So hoping to get something good out of here is like hoping to, you know, find a needle in a hay stack. But I can't stop opening it because I'm a little addicted. Okay, I'm not going to lie because there is such a cool chance of getting Grand Masters. The Starlight Overframes are crazy. There's so many cool cards in here that I want to get. This is way too close to the screen. Okay, and we are going to take this one mini box at a time because these mini boxes are not cheap. They're $35 MSRP. Uh, no joke on the price. So, I'm going to I'm going to just enjoy my time. See if I can finally pull something. I want Chibi Zeus or Thousand Eyes or Nightmare Eyes Restrict out of here. That's a Starlight rare. It'd be cool if I could get the Starlights of those. Uh we have the uh Ruler of the End of the World, which is going to focus right now because iPhones are incredible. I love how good they are at staying on the recording. And they used to be so good. I feel like they got worse. I I'm I would stake my claim to say they are worse. Okay. I've never had so many problems until like the last year. Phantom of you bell and Stardust Dragon Victim Sanctuary. We got to do one from the back to get the correct pack trick, I think. So, let's do it like that. Magnificent monsters. I can't rip through these like I rip through Battles of Legend or something because they are just I mean they're like $10 packs basically right off the rip. So, it's like Rarity 2, but everybody hated Rarity 2 and there was no grandmaster. votes. Not like Rarity 2 at all, but price-wise uh for Rudross and uh Stardust Dragon Victim Sanctuary, is that a sign? Yes. And by the way, I ask get asked all the time, "Is your Grandmaster being graded?" Yes, it's being graded. Still waiting on it. Haven't gotten it back. You will see a video as soon as I get it back. Do not worry. And uh hopefully it gets a good grade, man. Maybe I do need to go back to this. I'm trying to find the right angle here. There. There we go. Not 90° angle. The correct angle is what I'm trying to say. Okay, let's pull up these chibiies. I like those. Cyber's code magician. All right, $35 in. We've gotten a couple of chibiies. That's about it. I have faith, though. I have faith. If you start thinking about how much these cost, it really starts to it starts to hurt a little bit. Okay, next mini box. Uh, Dark Run IP, that's pretty good, too. At some point, I will finally have all my extras on whatnot. I keep meaning to put them up. Hopefully, they are there for this stream, but they may or may not be. Also, just uh whatnot this week is uh the new celebrations, but next week we're also doing the original artwork collection. So, you can bookmark that stream as well. Uh that is a crazy new release. That is probably I I don't even think it's a stretch to say it's a better set than Magnificent Monsters. Magnificent Monsters has grand masters. I don't know for sure if there are Grand Masters in original art collection yet. Even if they don't have them though, the set has so many crazy anime and manga cards mixed with like extended arts that it looks like a much better set in my opinion. What much better? And I like this set. I'm not even saying this is a bad set. I think the pull ratios suck. But other than that, it's still pretty good. So I think original artwork is going to even eclipse that. So definitely be there for that stream. Going to be giving away some packs, etc. Uh we have the wing kuribo sa level 10. Man, you really can't see those ultra names. Already too many boxes in. Oh, it's going so fast. It's going so fast. Please stop. Don't go so fast. I'm going to I'm going to take my time a little bit more. Okay, I'm already kind of taking my time, but not enough. Not enough for these. Okay. Antimatter magnifica. Okay. Any chibiies I pull out just cuz they're fun. There are quite a few chibies in this set. Quite a few. Come on. Give me Give me something. Starlight Overframe would be incredible. I would love that. I mean, just a regular overframe would be great. There's a flaming man. I've pulled that guy many times on the uh the underframes. I still can't get rid of this Mia mat because we haven't pulled it yet. There is a ma big Mia video coming soon uh that I'm going to record a bunch of pack openings. So hopefully we can uh get lucky on that one. So keep an eye out. That'll be coming tomorrow or the next day, something like that. Okay, we have evil hero Neo's lord. We have the uh witch crafter, iron chain, deception, and cyvers contract witch. That is now three mini boxes. And we have not pulled anything but ultra rares in the secrets in the promos. But yeah, no nothing but secrets in those. If you didn't see the ratio video I did, the EV, the expected value, you can check that video out. But 96.4% chance on every pack, you know, when you open a pack to get all ultra rares. So very, very high chance. And I think it's actually lower because of clumping. There's a mega clumping problem where if you get the wrong cases, you just get uh nothing. Like the best you can get is an ultra overframe essentially is what it seems like on those those clumped boxes. There's no way to know if they're clumped though. That's the problem. Oh, I didn't open this. This has Chibi Zeus, I believe. Chibi Zeus or Nightmare Ice has Chibi Zeus. It just doesn't have the Starlight version. But hey, I'll take that. Secret rare is pretty cool. Secret rare is pretty cool indeed. This is a fun pack opening. Plus, we get to open celebrations today. It's just a good day of pack opening. A lot of fun stuff. I am trying to get it where it you can actually see these cards better. But this dagum phone is just I can't wait to get a new one. I kind of want to get the flip phone though, but then, you know, it's the first iPhone flip phone. It's probably going to be terrible. Could always get an Android, but they're like a they're you know, I don't even know how to operate an Android. I'm not that technically proficient. All right. Saint is Amina. And we have Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant. Very nice pull. The corner though. Nice corner right out of the pack. Dinged up. Okay, cool. That's our first sleevable pull though. I'll take I mean, not that we wouldn't sleeve anything else, but the cards I'm sleeing during the video. Magnificent monsters. Crazy. Like I know that a lot of people didn't love this set, but you can I can still find these. Maybe not you, but I personally have been able to find these in stores. Like every single time I've looked for them, there's been a million of them available. Another Zeus and a fancy ball. So, people are not like going out of their way to go buy these. And I don't really blame them because it's 35 plus tax end of almost $40 for like three and a half packs. I mean, I get it. We've talked about it many times like it's really for the chance something crazy. But I get why people aren't like I'm buying them all because it's kind of expensive and if you can't just, you know, resell them, which I guess people are not doing around me at least, then it's like, well, I got to either open them and lose a [music] bunch of money or just not buy them. And that seems like what's happening. uh favorite hero, which I'm cool with. They stay on the shelves a while, I can always, you know, grab a couple, open a couple more, all that stuff. Have a little fun with it. Last pack of our What is this? Fourth mini box. Fifth mini box. Oh my gosh, this isn't going well. [laughter] We have nothing. We have nothing. Oh my gosh. It's all ultra rares. The title of this video is going to be like Magnificent Monsters has the worst pull rates of all time or something like [laughter] that. That's what it's going to be. It's just going to be a bunch of uh are going to get 30 ultras and 15 secrets in this display box and be like, "Yep, that's sick. That's great for me." All right, there's an an cool and I the world chalice just saw. Come on, baby. Elzette Averax. Pretty cool. Fish sonar and favorite hero, Flame Wingman. Magnificent. The monsters are quite magnificent indeed. Come on. Let's go. We have the liquid soldier. King's resonance dark. Like, you literally can't see this name. Like, I don't know if it's the camera or like I have to go like this. You can kind of see it. and wing kuriba sa subtl level 10. I got to pull out this dark magician of course. My gosh, we are literally it's all [music] ultra rares. How many packs has this been? We've got another 12 13 17 packs of ultra rares and then six packs of all secrets. This is bad, man. This is bad. Witch crafter. Waboku. Very nice goat reprint. You can use that in Edison. You could use that in Duelist Kingdom of Conquest. If you guys haven't checked that series out, make sure you check it out. It's been crazy. Uh, Guardian Slime Gaga Magician Gaga Magic. I'm gagaing for something good and I'm not getting anything. Guys, it it might be time to retire from this setup if we get 30 ultra rares and 15 secret rares. This is bad. This is really bad. feels really, really bad. The cases I opened for locals, like they weren't crazy ratios, but we were at least getting stuff. Since then, it's like impossible. I've gotten not a single Starlight Overframe, and I wish I had the numbers, but I did like 150ish mini boxes on whatnot. We got nothing uh in terms of Starlite overframes. We got a bunch of ultras, but uh no Starlet Overframes. Then I've opened for myself. I've opened 20 30 I don't know how many. 40 something like that. No, no Starllet over frames. Almost 200 for a Starllet overframe. Eco Talker integration. Okay, I need water. Didn't make me feel better. [snorts] It didn't make me feel better. I was hyped. I was hyped for this opening. I was ready. I was getting myself pumped. I was like grandmaster time. And then this Not even Grandmaster. I don't want I don't even want a Grandmaster. I mean, I do, but I don't even expect a Grandmaster, but Starlight rare would be enough overframe and nothing. Just not even a Starlight out of the promo packs. Okay, that's pretty good. That's our best hit yet. I think it's around 12 bucks. But it's the Dark Magical Curtain. It's under frame. It's cool. Pretty cool card. Pretty cool card. We got a Dark Magician or Dark Magical Curtain and Dark Magician the Pharaoh Servant or whatever. So, we've gotten the giveaway back. CAN WE FOLD THOSE? OH my gosh. One more pack here before we have still three more mini boxes, I think. This is hurting. This is really rough. This is really rough, dude. Original artwork collection. I hope you get got some nice pulls in there that we can get. Uh, [groaning] pendulum. Why is the side of this There's a side It looks like there's like something coming off of that. You see that? What is that? Is it this card? It's just Edgewear. Edgeware is all shiny. Like the card's jacked up. OH MY GOSH. OH, I see why Ry retired from this set. I might have to follow suit. Let me know in the comments. Do I retire from this set? Do I give up? I've never felt so discouraged. E. Well, maybe Mia. Actually, Stampede probably was worse. I felt pretty bad on those, but at least I was getting like good cards the whole time. Now it's like, okay, cool. Those are three good cards. Not like I'm not getting good cards, but like with stampede, I was getting quarter centuries and there was some value in those that I could at least sell back, get some more packs. There's almost no value in these packs. If you don't get an overframe, it's like nothing. Like, you got to get the dark magical curtain and stuff and those are like 12 bucks and you're getting one like one in display. Like, oh my gosh, this is rough. Two left. It's really all or nothing. almost the most all or nothing set since Ghost of the Past 2, but this one is like way higher all or nothing cuz you can get really crazy stuff IP. Nice Galatea. Okay, maybe we'll get more than that on Dark Magical Curtain. Okay, feeling a little better. That helps for sure. Getting a second Dark Magical Curtain. I like that. But it'd be really nice to get something that wasn't just an ultra rare in one of these. I mean, that would be fantastic. Not even an overframe yet at all. Oh, I'm scared. We'll get a pendulum. Most of those are just they don't have the shrink wrap and you'll still get your overframe usually. Uh at least from all I've heard and all the ones I opened that was the case. And then there are some loose packs as well. So you have a much better ratio on those. So if you want to hit those up, they're also way cheaper. They're like 60s something per box which is 15 packs. 15 packs of this is five mini boxes which is like $200. So yeah, you can save some money open as an OCG product there. All right. This is a sealed display. Not one Starlight. This could This will be the worst display. I guess the worst would be somehow you don't get any dark magical curtains, but not a single Starlight rare or overframe in this entire display unless there's one in this. So, I win-win. I either get a Starlight or an Overframe or I get to complain about not getting one. So, win-win for me. [laughter] I'd rather get one. Okay. Oh, thank goodness. Ah, Galaxy eyes antimatter dragon. Let's go. Okay, we got one. And we got a Starlight Abberax. That's nice. This is not a crazy Starlight that I'm looking for, but it is a high rarity card. The first high rarity card in $315 worth. Now, hopefully this means if we get an overframe in here, then I'm going to start being convinced there's like a ratio and it's like at per display you get one of each or whatever cuz that's what I got last time I think was one of each.
