The Undertaker And Paul Heyman Talk About Brocks Retirement

What's good Josh? Ross back at again with another video. So check out Undertaker and Paul Heymon react to Brock Lesnar's retirement 6 feet under podcast. Um this is uh on the Undertaker's YouTube channel and I did think this was very interesting because I know Paul Heyman, the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar all have a uh interesting relationship with each other from working with each other for many years in WWE. So, we're going to check this out to kind of see what the Undertaker has to say about this whole situation and uh should be an interesting one. Appreciate all the love support you guys show on our channel. Let's see what uh Paul Heyman and the Undertaker have to talk about, man. >> Right on the heels of uh SummerSlam. Uh wow, what a Well, for how are you feeling after after SummerSlam? I mean, I I'm it's got it's kind of a uh I'm sure a bittersweet moment, I guess. Um I'm accepting of the reality of the situation. You know, when you when when when when you first break in, so many of the veterans would tell you, "Be accepting of it. Don't don't don't fight against what the reality of the situation is." It's it's it's the same as if if someone comes to you today and says, "Oh, we have this so perfectly built for you for Wrestlemania." You're going to shut it down immediately because you've accepted the fact that this is what you're doing now. That is what you were doing then. And Brock has always been a realist about himself. >> Mhm. >> And it's time. And to him, I I I would hear this every year from him. No, this is my last contract. This is it. And he meant it when he said it. >> And as we got closer, he would then change his mind or it didn't take a lot to talk him into it, but I knew that this was it. >> Yeah. >> Especially when you take in consideration, you know, that money that was probably being thrown his way to do a couple of moves. I mean, who wouldn't pass that up? All you got to do is fly somewhere, do a couple of suplexes, couple F5s, call it a day, and you've made millions of dollars with just maybe 30 minutes, not even that. Maybe 10 minutes of work. That's I' I'd come back, you know, a few more times, you know, and it doesn't even seem like Brock is the type to splurge on his money, but I mean, who going to pass that up to be honest with you? and and because he knew that this was it, right? >> He wasn't just saying it because he felt it at the moment. This decision was fed up complete. >> Yeah. It uh you know, sitting there yesterday as we filmed this, it was yesterday. Um what a full circle kind of moment. Um, and and and I I don't I don't really get into a lot of the weeds of I try to I try not to, but the phone call that I got yesterday re really meant a lot to me. And I I'm not I'm going to get into what the phone call was about, but the fact that I I I received that phone call, it was just it it said a lot about him, you guys together and uh something he didn't have to do, >> you know. >> Okay. But it meant it it meant the world to me as as an old-timer and you know and it just shows I I don't think I don't think Brock really got enough credit for his passion for the business. >> You know I think most people and you know everybody chirps and everybody gets on the everybody has their opinion that they don't know [ __ ] about what they're talking about. you know, it was always, you know, oh, it's always about the money or they bitched about the, you know, or the dates and everything like that. I I think he genuinely I mean, he had to to to love this business and things like that phone call yesterday just kind of reiterated to me like, yeah, he understood he gets it. And uh it's kind of it's kind of sad for me cuz it's it's one less guy that's going to be around that understands tradition and and and the >> I honestly do think he's hanging it up. I I think that's it. I think this last goound is legitimately his last go around and I'm sure TKO they're going to try to open up that wallet maybe at uh Wrestlemania next year and we'll that will really be the true ultimate test if he's really gone if he's still able to say no while they're in Saudi for Wrestlemania next year. You know that Saudi government, the officials out there, they're going to want Brock Lesnar there if he's able to tell them no. There's I mean that's that's the uh solidification of yeah that's he's done for good but I still am leaning on that side of I think he's actually done. I think he's he's cool with how his career went. I mean had a pretty good career in WWE. Not too many people has beaten him. I think he's okay with how it played out. I think he's okay with doing the job for Oba and uh honestly can't be mad at it, man. the way things used to be done. >> Well, he really has come full circle because everything that he has been doing for and with Oba, you did for and with him >> and that phone call was necessary. There is a code of honor in this industry that if you are in there with someone that you can't even stand on a personal level, but you stand on the chair and you fall backwards, you know that person is going to catch you. >> That's the code of honor that we all sign up for in this industry. It's >> otherwise so many more people would have their faces smashed in. >> So true. That's crazy, >> you know. So, >> that's crazy. >> That that phone call was a must. >> Yeah. >> And and and I couldn't imagine the day going by without that phone call being placed. >> Yeah. He tried to use I know he used your phone, but I I know that you, you know, as a as a >> I wouldn't necessarily call you a a traditionalist, but in a sense you are. I mean, you're from the old school and it was just like it was a very it was a very cool moment. And then and then you go out and you know they they did what they did and it was just like, wow. All right, man. That that's that's really cool. It didn't happen that way, unfortunately. Um, but nevertheless though, I he still put Oba over, bro. He put him over and I think Oba is going to benefit from this. If they continue to book him correctly, I think he's going to benefit from this for a very long time. And uh, you know, it's just really dope to see that. >> I don't know. I think I'd have took the I think I'd have done a mat. I used the mats. Of course, I got two metal knees now from but I'm a little more sensitive to that. Um, but I do but I do have a you credible moment and you know I'm we're going to get into what what's next but I do have a little bit of beef with you. Because it's the most impressive stat. >> Wow. Yeah, but I I mean, I get it, but he was the NCAA Division One Heavyweight Championship from the University of Minnesota in the year 2000. That's big. >> Yeah. He was the youngest WWE champion ever. That's big. >> Yes. >> He knocked out and it was a standing knockout. He knocked out Randy Coutur, the greatest heavyweight in the history of UFC for the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship. He did. >> That's huge. He comes back to WWE. He multiple title reigns and some of them history-making title reigns. Some of them because of the longevity they were history-making title reigns. And they're all huge multi-time Wrestlemania main event. All huge accomplishments. None of them compare to being the one >> that conquered the Undertaker's undefeated streak at wrestling. >> I still think he didn't need it, bro. I still think that if if anything, I will stand on this ledge. Even with Brock being retired, I think Roman should have been the one to do it. If they were going to either not have anyone do it, either Roman or Bray Wyatt, one of the two. That's it. it. That was that was my if I had to think about if the Undertaker is going to give up his streak to give to someone else, he either needs to be Prey or it either needs to be Roman. It needed to be someone that wasn't already super established. Brock at that point, it's Brock. We knew who Brock was. He was already established. He didn't need that to go for the WWE Championship. Of course, once he beat the streak, of course, he's going to be number one contender to get the WWE Championship at that point, but he didn't need it. That's the one thing I will always say. He didn't need it. If anyone could have benefited, I would have preferred the Undertaker just retire with the streak intact. But if anything, if they were going to give it back to someone, either Bray Wyatt could have been someone that could use it as the new face of fear or Roman Reigns who really could have used it. And if they would have turned them heel, we probably would have got the tribal chief a little bit sooner and it would have been [ __ ] fantastic mania. It's the greatest claim to fame and it always will be when it comes to Brock Lesnar. That's that's his epitap. Brock Lesnar conquered the Undertaker's undefeated streak. Former UFC and WWE heavyweight champion. No, >> it's it's the And it still to this day gets the biggest reaction. >> Yeah, it does. It will always get the biggest reaction. Always like because you say it out loud, it's like >> like it's taboo. Like I'm not supposed to brag about it. It's the biggest reaction. >> It's the It is the bragging right. It is the ultimate bragging right. At WrestleMania 30, if Brock had won every title in existence, WWE, Intercontinental, US, all the other titles in the industry at the same time and he pinned every champion or tapped them all out, it would not have been as big for him as that moment. >> Yeah. No, that was insane, bro. >> If the public wouldn't react to it, >> I would. >> Well, yeah, you'd move on. I'd move on. >> You get new material, but it's >> But it becomes a sore spot every time I say obviously. >> Yeah. I mean, no. I mean, I'm dealing with it, but I mean, it's, you know, but it no more, you know, it's 12 years ago and to this day it still gets the loudest reaction of anything that we say. >> It does. >> Yeah. >> Sorry, babe. You always got to go to that. It's kind of a source guy. I always figured, by the way, that when I say it that they'll run a lower third, saying, "And tune in to Undertaker and Michelle on the Six Feet Under podcast presented by WWE powered by fanatics." >> Oh, that's good. >> And this is why he's so good. >> And now, ladies and gentlemen, an ad read by The Undertaker. Three, two, one, go. >> All right, get your No. Oh, man. Uh, >> just I just had to get that off my chest, you know? I was just like, "This guy is always talking about that." I mean, what the hell trying to get that out of people's minds? >> I'll say this, man. I'll say this. Obviously, they they have a a solid relationship, the Undertaker, Paul Heyman, and Brock Lesnar. And knowing that Brock Lesnar actually hit up the Undertaker and kind of gave him that that call that, you know, that phone call, that full circle moment lets you know how much respect they have for each other, you know, and how much respect he does have for the business. I know a lot of us as fans, we tend to think Brock only cares about the money. Let's not get it twisted. He definitely does care about the money. And when Brock is inspired to do something, inspired to have a match, he'll go out there and give you something inspiring. He'll go out there and do what he needs to do. Now, when he's not inspired, you you kind of can tell. But nevertheless, you can tell that for the most part, especially with this last run, he was enjoying what he was doing with Oba. And you can tell he was doing everything he can to get Oba over. That's something whether you like Brock or not, you got to be able to respect because ultimately this is something that could help and should help Oba get to that next level. And him being the future. Brock has already said he's done. I'm good. He's the future. I'm the past. He's the guy that you got need to be paying attention to. That's the ultimate cosign from someone that rarely loses, especially someone of my complexion, you know. It's it's the ultimate cosign. So, honestly, I do think he's done. I do I do think he, you know, he's he's hung it up for good. I know TKO probably will do whatever they can to get as much money possible to maybe get him to come back for one more time at S in Saudi uh for Wrestlemania next year. I don't know if he'll take it though. I think he's someone that he's made a decent amount of money in his life. I don't think he needs too much. I think he's want to go ahead and hang it up and and call it a day. Ride off into the to the sunset, man. But hey, comment down below. Let me know, man.
