The Stock Swoosh Show Live Trading Room 8-12-2026

Watch on YouTube

Video summary

The video captures a live trading session where the host analyzes market gaps and volume dynamics across various stocks like CRM, Adobe, PLTR, SMCI, Apple, and Sandisk. The primary discussion revolves around why certain stocks are gapping up or down; for instance, Adobe's gap is attributed to insufficient volume combined with excessive spread, while CRM shows better trading activity despite the gap. The host expresses skepticism about going long on the broader market because key indicators like PLTR were slightly down and SMCI had recently reported earnings that did not drive a sustained upward move, suggesting the current rally might lack fundamental strength or could fail soon. A significant portion of the transcript focuses on an active trade setup involving Apple stock, where the host sets specific entry targets around 85 to 80 cents per share while waiting for confirmation near the 303 level. The atmosphere becomes tense and energetic as prices fluctuate rapidly, with the host repeatedly urging viewers or co-traders not to look away from their screens even for a second. This caution is highlighted when he admits to getting distracted by watching Sandisk's movement, which led him to miss an exit point on Apple just before it surged further than anticipated, resulting in frustration and loud exclamations about the speed of the market action. The host reflects on the chaotic nature of the trading day, noting that the entire week has felt like a blur due to rapid price movements and missed opportunities. He mentions being away for jury duty last week as context for his current schedule but emphasizes how quickly situations can change in real-time trading environments. By the end of the session, he successfully exits an Apple trade at a favorable point after initially hesitating, celebrating the move while acknowledging that some participants may have logged out or missed the action entirely if they lacked audio cues to stay engaged with the live feed.

I'll take any ideas you have. We got like 10 seconds here. I'm just, you know, I what I don't want to do is do this and get stopped and have to retake it an hour later. You know, uh what is the reason for those gaps, Todd? Well, this is definitely gapping. What's the reason? Doesn't have enough volume. Doesn't have enough volume and too spreading. Um, CRM CRM is trading. Not crazy about the gap, but it at least has volume. Adobe, what's the reason for this gap? Again, it's tough to go after anything today unless there's a real reason the gap's occurring because of the fact that the market is up. You can find a reason for this. PLTR was down, not a lot, but PLTR was down. SMCI was the earnings and that was up but I don't like it. I don't like it is the problem here. I mean so far this is not moving higher. And again the market could fail would be another sign that we're not higher. So I'm not jumping up and down about going long the market. Here's Apple. You want to do it? You want to do it? Stop would be 80. Let's wait for the entry. Let's do 85 by 80. Great entry here if it hits 85 by 80. Apple, it's kind of already going there. DO IT IF YOU WANT IT. We're just trying to get it down to 303 here. We almost missed it. Jeez Louise, we almost missed it. If you want to do this, do it. If you don't want to do anything today, you don't have to do anything today. We're going to get out of this. If it doesn't break 303, one push down, one drop down. Here we go. We're almost there. We're almost there. Did anybody do it with me? Here we go. 80 cents is 80 cents. 85 cents. 90 cents. Whatever we can get. If it's not a dollar, we'll take it. We'll take it. We'll take it. We'll take it. Good trade yesterday. It took forever to go. The market quick. Yeah. I mean, you know, this is not what you want to see if you want to go long. Do you understand what I'm saying? This is not a pillar of strength here by any stretch of the imagination. Oh, where is the PLTR? Uh, this is trying to go though. Again, this whole sector is up. The Sandis is up a million miles here because of that. But right now, it's not doing anything. Here we go. Here we go. We did it. We did it. We did it. One more push. One more push. One more push. One more push. Come on. Let's go. Oh I didn't get out. Did anybody get out? That was a dollar there. Crap. [screaming] Did anyone get out of it? I look I got distracted for one second then looking at SanDisk. I shouldn't have even looked away. Gosh darn it. I could just take it here. Here. Here. Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair. Here we go. Here we go. Look how fast it's moving. 81 is the low. 9:33. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. I can't look away now. Probably should get out of this, but I think it's going to keep going. Whoa. That's what I wanted. THAT'S WHAT I WANTED OUT. YAY. [screaming] WOO. What a nice trade on a Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning. I don't even know what day it is. What day is it? I don't even know. This whole week's been just like a blur. Last week I was at uh Oh, look. It's going to break 302. Last week, a week from today, I was a jury duty. I was a jury duty. 30218. Did anybody do it with me? I hope you did it. I hope somebody did it. For Pete's sakes. For Pete's sakes. Did anyone do it? Let's look at the market. Look at this. Look at this. Um Jeff, you can log out and log back in, but it's kind of late. You missed the train if you didn't have any sound.
