Video summary
The speaker shares her personal journey as a breast cancer survivor who underwent a double mastectomy at the age of 40, leaving her without breasts for four years before receiving reconstruction. Her current implants are described as being under extremely tight skin due to prior radiation therapy, which has resulted in a shape she finds unsatisfactory; specifically, one implant protrudes outward like a football and lacks natural nipples. She explains that despite having implants labeled as C or D cups, her overall appearance resembles an A cup because the radiation has removed all fat from the area and left her skin so constricted that it does not drape naturally over the prosthetics.
To address the aesthetic concerns caused by the deformity of one reconstructed breast, she demonstrates a unique solution involving adhesive inserts designed to create the illusion of nipples and improve symmetry. While standard users typically apply one insert per side, she often uses two pieces stuck together to cover the significant bulge on her affected side and lower its appearance under clothing. She notes that these adhesive products are particularly useful for wearing at home without a bra, providing coverage in case someone knocks on the door, though she struggles with keeping them adhered to her skin, especially after showering when lotion must be avoided to prevent them from falling off.
Beyond the physical challenges of reconstruction, the speaker emphasizes her gratitude for surviving a aggressive cancer diagnosis where twelve lymph nodes were affected and tumors grew rapidly in her early forties. She reflects on how those difficult days are now behind her and expresses pride in being alive today thanks to the medical procedures that removed the disease. The video concludes with her directing viewers to her website, where she offers these adhesive inserts for purchase along with reviews, while also promoting a cookbook available on her site as a final resource for her audience.

Um, I'm a cancer survivor and a lot of
y'all know that. Well,
my breasts were taken off and completely
gone for 4 years when I was 40. So, from
the age of 40 to the age of 44, I didn't
have anything. I was just real
flatchested.
I've thought about going back and having
them removed because they did do the
translap where they take this muscle
from the back. They cut you across here.
They take the muscle, they bring it
around here, and they suture it to your
chest, and then they put the inserts in.
And of course, I am small chested.
This is actually a C cup, and it's
little, still little. And this is a D
cup, but because it's under my skin that
was radiated, it's so tight. It's just
super tight. And not only that, it's
super ugly because I never had nipples
put on and it's just ugly and it just
it's the shape of a football and it
pooches out. It's just ugly. So, what I
do is I really don't need a bra because
I have these inserts. Okay. Uh, and I
don't have nipples.
Uh, you know, so I mean, nobody can tell
I don't have a bra on. I mean, you can
kind of tell with a certain kind of
dress on. I'm going to show y'all this.
Are y'all ready to rock it steady?
Every time I'm since I was little and uh
you know that um
was popular rock, rock, steady, steady,
get it, get it ready, ready rock, rock
it, steady,
you know, from high school. Anyway,
this
is a sticky. It's actually two put
together. You're supposed to wear one on
each side if you have nipples.
And you can actually take it. I have two
stuck together because my breast is so
deformed and so ugly that it takes two
to cover up the pooch. Okay. If you had
normal breasts, like most of you do, and
you have a nipple, then you would only
use one of these, and you can wash them
off. Um, and you would place it on your
breast. I'll do it this way just for
funsies. You would put it on your breast
like this. And then you would pull it up
like this, and you would stick it to
your chest, and it would kind of lift
your boob a little. But now, I've not
had that much luck with the boob lift
thing. I don't know if it's because I
really don't know cuz I ain't got big
boobs, but it just this thing wants to
come off. It don't want to stick to me.
All right. And it's not cuz I put on
lotion cuz most of the time I don't. So,
what I do is I use two of these. I don't
know. Some of y'all might be breast
cancer survivors and y'all might want to
see this. Some of y'all may not. I don't
know. Um, now let me see which one was
the cleanest. This one.
Okay, let me put these back together.
So, what I do is I take this where this
is the sticky part that's supposed to be
the top part. Instead of doing that, I
take it and because this breast is way
high up on my chest. It's real high.
Here's where my breast is. Here's where
the other breast is. If that gives you
any idea. This is where my pooch is. And
this is where my other breast is. And
like I said, I don't have nipples. So,
what I do, you see the difference, is I
take this and I stick it over the pooch
and down my breast like that.
Just like that under my clothes.
And that's how I wear. And then it makes
this breast look like it's lower
and it covers the pooch up.
I love it. I love it. Let me put it back
on.
I'll be right back.
If I thought I wouldn't get flagged, I'd
show you my breast because it's ugly and
it ain't real. I mean, you know what I
mean? It ain't feminine. It ain't
There's no nibbles. There's no nothing.
It's just ugly. But don't that look so
much better. See how it's
looks?
And uh I think I have them on my website
under beauty. You have to go to home and
then beauty. I think I have them there
or they could be under health and
wellness. I don't know. But if I don't
have them on there when I end this
video, I'll put a link at the top of the
video. I'll put a comment in the post in
case you're interested in getting some
because I love them.
And they're wonderful. They're cool.
They're better than wearing a bra,
especially if you're just around the
house and you need something on in case
somebody knocks at the door. Um,
and that's it. What do y'all think about
that?
How do you get them to stay on? I can't
figure out how. They just stick to you.
But now look, when you get out of the
shower, you can't put on lotion if you
want those inserts to stick on. You
cannot. They will just they will just
fall right off. So, you have to get out
of the shower, be clean and dry, and
then use them. But I can't get them to
hold up at all. And I don't even have
big breasts. I mean, my breasts are
little. And like I said, I'm a C, but
honey, I'm not. I'm about an A cup
because of the way my skin is from
having those surgeries. Even if my cup
size is a C and a D, I look like an A
cup because my skin was so tight and I
have no fat up here at all. Um, and
that's why I'm a survivor and I'm still
alive today as they scraped the hound
out of me and did a wonderful job
getting rid of all that stuff for me
because if you don't know it, I had 12
of my lymph nodes had cancer in them.
Two places in my breast. I was 40 years
old and my largest tumor was in my lymph
node. It was growing so fast.
So anyway, but praise the Lord, I'm
here. Oh, those days are behind me.
Praise the Lord.
Um,
but anyway, talked a lot about myself
today. I've talked about my hair. I've
talked about my figure. I've talked
about my breast.
Here comes my husband. I got to be
quiet.
Here he comes.
You can go on the website to order the
cookbook. Um,
it's www.colardvalcooks.com
and it's right there on the front
website page. And there's also some
reviews if you click the cookbook tab if
you want to read the reviews. They're
wonderful. All right, we'll see you next
time.
